| 1 | Received signal strength based indoor positioning algorithm using advanced clustering and kernel ridge regression显示文摘We propose a novel indoor positioning algorithm based on the received signal strength(RSS) fingerprint. The proposed algorithm can be divided into three steps, an offline phase at which an advanced clustering(AC) strategy is used, an online phase of approximate localization at which cluster matching is used, and an online phase of precise localization with kernel ridge regression. Specifically, after offline fingerprint collection and similarity measurement, we employ an AC strategy based on the K-medoids clustering algorithm using additional reference points that are geographically located at the outer cluster boundary to enrich the data of each cluster. During the approximate localization, RSS measurements are compared with the cluster radio maps to determine to which cluster the target most likely belongs. Both the Euclidean distance of the RSSs and the Hamming distance of the coverage vectors between the observations and training records are explored for cluster matching. Then, a kernel-based ridge regression method is used to obtain the ultimate positioning of the target. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated in two typical indoor environments, and compared with those of state-of-the-art algorithms. | 2 | In vitro callus induction and plantlet regeneration of Achyranthes aspera L.,a high value medicinal plant显示文摘Objective:To study callus induction from different explants(internode,leaf,root)and in vitro plantlets propagation from medicinally important plant Achyranthes aspera L.Methods:Sterilized explants were prepared by uning 0.1%HgCl_2 and 0.5%Bavistin and callus was obtained when cultured onto Murashige Skoog's(MS)medium by using different concentrations and combination of 2,4-D.NAA.BAP,IAA,IBA with 3%sucrose and 0.8%agar.Induced callus was immediately transferred to MS medium containing at different concentrations of phytohormones for shootlets and rootlets induction respectively.Results:Sterilization treatment of 0.1%HgCl_2.for 2-3 min and Bavistin 0.5%for 10-12 min showed the highest percentage of asepsis and survival rate.Maximum induction of callus was obtained from a combination of 2.0 mg/L 2,4-D and 0.5 mg/L NAA from leaf.Highest shootlets number(4.83±0.l7)and length(3.8±0.16)cm were observed on full strength MS medium when fortified with BAP 4.0 mg/L and KIN 0.5 mg/L.Concerted efforts of BAP 10 mg/L and NAA 0.5 mg/L on full strength MS medium showed highest leaf number(6.77±0.94).In vitro raised shoots were allowed to root on different strengths of MS medium fortified with IAA and IBA at different concentrations.Experimentally,3.0 mg/L IBA was enabled to induce maximum rootlets number(10.0±9.82)on full strength MS medium.Afterwards,regenerated shoots with well developed roots were successfully subjected to hardening process and were acclimatized.The survived plantlets showed 66.67%survival frequency without any morphological abnormality.Conclusions:The results demonstrated that different explants were good source of callus induction,morphology analysis as well as indirect plantlets regeneration. | Monokesh Kumer Sen Shamima Nasrin Shahedur Rahman Abu Hena Mostofa Jamal | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014,4,1: | 3 |
| 3 | Bacteriocin from Bacillus subtilis as a novel drug against diabetic foot ulcer bacterial pathogens显示文摘Objective:To isolate and identify Bacillus subtilis(B.subtilis)from soil and to characterize and partially purify the bacteriocin.To evaluate the antimicrobial activity against four diabetic foot ulcer bacterial pathogens.Methods:Genotypic identification was done based on Sergey's manual of systemic bacteriology.Antimicrobial susceptibility test was done by Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method.Colonies were identified by colony morphology and biochemical characterization and also compared with MTCC 121 strain.Further identification was done by 16S rRNA sequencing.Inhibitory activities of partially purified bacteriocin on all the DFU isolates were done by agar well diffusion method.The strain was identified to produce bacteriocin by stab overlay assay.Bacteriocin was extracted by organic solvent extraction using chloroform,further purified by HPI.C and physical,and chemical characterization was performed.Results:The four isolates showed high level of resistance to amoxyclav and sensitivity to ciprofloxacin.HPLC purification revealed that the extracts are bacteriocin.The phylogenetic tree analysis results showed that the isolate was 99%related to B.subtilis BSF01.The results reveled activity to all the four isolates and high level of activity was seen in case of Klebsiella sp.Conclusions:Partially purified bacteriocin was found to have antimicrobial activity against the four diabetic foot ulcer bacterial pathogens,which can thus be applied as a better drug molecule on further studies.The strain B.subtilis are found to be safe for use and these antimicrobial peptides can be used as an antimicrobial in humans to treat DFU bacterial pathogens. | Baby Joseph Berlina Dhas Vimalin Hena Justin Raj | 2013 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,12: | 2 |

| 10 | The mechanism of a new type of modified clay controlling Phaeocystis globosa growth显示文摘Phaeocystis globosa is a harmful algal bloom(HAB)species worldwide.Using modified clay(MC)to control HABs and to mitigate their adverse effects is currently a commonly used method in China.In this paper,the effects of oxidized composite modified clay(OXI-MC)on P.globosa were studied from different perspectives.The results show that the OXI-MC could effectively remove P.globosa and inhibit both the growth of residual algal cells and the formation of new colonies.The P.globosa algal biomass removal efficiencies after 3 h reached 90%at a dose of 0.1 g/L,and the number of colonies with different particle sizes was greatly reduced.Compared with those of the control,the superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity,catalase(CAT)activity,and malondialdehyde(MDA)content of the residual algae significantly increased,indicating that OXI-MC caused oxidative stress in the algal cells.In addition,we evaluated the effects of OXI-MC on the photosynthesis of residual microalgae and found that the maximal photochemical efficiency of photosystem II(PSII)under dark adaptation(F v/F m)and actual photochemical efficiency of PSII(ФPSII)decreased,severely damaging the photosynthesis efficiency,implying that OXI-MC effected the photosynthesis system of P.globosa.The results of this study clarify that OXI-MC could remove the most of algal cells and break up the colonies of P.globosa by collision,flocculation,and releasing active substances,as well as inhibit effectively the growth and colony formation of residual P.globosa by causing oxidative stress,reducing photosynthesis activity,accelerating the degradation of polysaccharides,and inhibiting the formation of colonies. | QIU Lixia YU Zhiming CAO Xihua JI Hena SONG Xiuxian | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4: | 1 |
| 11 | Research on Vibration Cutting Performance of Particle Reinforced Metallic Matrix Composites SiC_p/Al显示文摘The cutting performance of particle reinforced meta ll ic matrix composites (PRMMCs) SiC p/Al in ultrasonic vibration cutting and comm on cutting with carbide tools and PCD tools was experimentally researched in the paper. The changing rules of chip shape, deformation coefficient, shear angle a nd surface residual stress were presented by ultrasonic vibration cutting. Resul ts show: when adopting common cutting, spiral chip with smaller curl radius will be obtained. The chip with zigzag contour is short and thick. There are lots of sheet cracking both on the face of the chip and on the machined surface. That i s to say, the cutting process of metallic matrix composites(MMCs) is not all lik e the cutting process of plastic material. It is akin to the breaking process of brittle material. By comparison, when adopting ultrasonic cutting, because tool contacts with workpiece intermittently in high frequency, deformation of chip i s small, loose spiral chip with larger curl radius is long and thin. The phenome non is just similar to vibration cutting of plastic material. But the chip still belongs to plastic or semi-plastic segmental chip due to the structure charact eristics of the material itself. Furthermore, the tangential residual compressio n stress of vibration cutting is larger than that of common cutting, axial resid ual stress has a relation to the feed rate and residual stress does not changes obviously with cutting depth and they are in the same order of magnitude on the whole. According to the test result analyzing, the following conclusions are put forward: 1) The extruding deformation is serious in common cutting PRMMCs, defo rmation of it’s chip is larger, and the chip with lesser curl radius is short.
