2Natural language processing(NLP)in management research:A literature review显示文摘Natural language processing(NLP)is gaining momentum in management research for its ability to automatically analyze and comprehend human language.Yet,despite its extensive application in management research,there is neither a comprehensive review of extant literature on such applications,nor is there a detailed walkthrough on how it can be employed as an analytical technique.To this end,we review articles in the UT Dallas List of 24 Leading Business Journals that employ NLP as their focal analytical technique to elucidate how textual data can be harnessed for advancing management theories across multiple disciplines.We describe the available toolkits and procedural steps for employing NLP as an analytical technique as well as its advantages and disadvantages.In so doing,we highlight the managerial and technological challenges associated with the application of NLP in management research in order to guide future inquires.Yue Kang Zhao Cai Chee-Wee Tan Qian Huang Hefu Liu 2020Journal of Management Analytics2020,7,2:3
3Structural Styles of the Longmenshan Thrust Belt and Evolution of the Foreland Basin in Western Sichuan Province, China显示文摘The Longmenshan thrust system consists of two major groups of structural styles according to the depth of their involvement: basement thrusts-compressional fault blocks; fold-thrust system in the cover. In cross-section, the Longmenshan structural belt is divided into 5 zones. The propagation of the Longmenshan thrust system is piggy-back due to pushing at the early stage and overstep due to gravity sliding at the late stage. Balanced cross-sections and palinspastic reconstruction reveal that the total sliding displacement of the thrust system amounts to 120 km. 4An integrated method for the rapid dewatering and solidification/stabilization of dredged contaminated sediment with a high water content显示文摘To more efficiently treat the dredged contaminated sediment(DCS)with a high water content,this study proposes an integrated method(called PHDVPSS)that uses the solidifying/stabilizing(S/S)agents and prefabricated horizontal drain(PHD)assisted by vacuum pressure(VP).Using this method,dewatering and solidification/stabilization can be carried out simultaneously such that the treatment time can be significantly shortened and the treatment efficacy can be significantly improved.A series of model tests was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method.Experimental results indicated that the proposed PHDVPSS method showed superior performance compared to the conventional S/S method that uses Portland cement(PC)directly without prior dewatering.The 56-day unconfined compressive strength of DCS treated by the proposed method with GGBS-MgO as the binder is 12–17 times higher than that by the conventional S/S method.DCS treated by the PHDVPSS method exhibited continuous decrease in leaching concentration of Zn with increasing curing age.The reduction of Zn leachability is more obvious when using GGBS-MgO as the binder than when using PC,because GGBS-MgO increased the residual fraction and decreased the acid soluble fraction of Zn.The microstructure analysis reveals the formation of hydrotalcite in GGBS-MgO binder,which resulted in higher mechanical strength and higher Zn stabilization efficiency.Hefu Pu Aamir Khan Mastoi Xunlong Chen Dingbao Song Jinwei Qiu Peng Yang 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,4:2

14Plasma Extracellular Vesicle MicroRNA Analysis of Alzheimer’s Disease Reveals Dysfunction of a Neural Correlation Network显示文摘Small extracellular vesicle(sEV)is an emerging source of potential biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease(AD),but the role of microRNAs(miRNAs)in sEV is not well understood.In this study,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of sEV-derived miRNAs in AD using small RNA sequencing and coexpression network analysis.We examined a total of 158 samples,including 48 from AD patients,48 from patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI),and 62 from healthy controls.We identified an miRNA network module(M1)that was strongly linked to neural function and showed the strongest association with AD diagnosis and cognitive impairment.The expression of miRNAs in the module was decreased in both AD and MCI patients compared to controls.Conservation analysis revealed that M1 was highly preserved in the healthy control group but dysfunctional in the AD and MCI groups,suggesting that changes in the expression of miRNAs in this module may be an early response to cognitive decline prior to the appearance of AD pathology.We further validated the expression levels of the hub miRNAs in M1 in an independent population.The functional enrichment analysis showed that 4 hub miRNAs might interact with a GDF11-centered network and play a critical role in the neuropathology of AD.In summary,our study provides new insights into the role of sEV-derived miRNAs in AD and suggests that M1 miRNAs may serve as potential biomarkers for the early diagnosis and monitoring of AD.Yuzhe Sun Zhen Hefu Benchao Li Wang Lifang Song Zhijie Li Zhou Yan Deng Liu Zhili Jiahong Ding Tao Li Wenwei Zhang Nie Chao Shuang Rong 2023Research2023,,4:0

16Matrix pencil based robust control for feedforward systems with event-triggered communications and sensor/actuator faults显示文摘In this paper we address the issue of output-feedback robust control for a class of feedforward nonlinear systems.Essentially different from the related literature,the feedback/input signals are corrupted by additive noises and can only be transmitted intermittently due to the consideration of event-triggered communications,which bring new challenges to the control design.With the aid of matrix pencil based design procedures,regulating the output to near zero is globally solved by a non-conservative dynamic low-gain controller which requires only an a priori information on the upper-bound of the growth rate of nonlinearities.Theoretical analysis shows that the closed-loop system is input-to-state stable with respect to the sampled errors and additive noise.In particular,the observer and controller designs have a dual architecture with a single dynamic scaling parameter whose update law can be obtained by calculating the generalized eigenvalues of matrix pencils offline,which has an advantage in the sense of improving the system convergence rate.Hefu Ye Marios M.Polycarpou Changyun Wen 2023Journal of Automation and Intelligence2023,2,3:0
