2Modified bottleneck-based heuristic for large-scale job-shop scheduling problems with a single bottleneck显示文摘A modified bottleneck-based (MB) heuristic for large-scale job-shop scheduling problems with a well- defined bottleneck is suggested,which is simpler but more tailored than the shifting bottleneck (SB) procedure. In this algorithm,the bottleneck is first scheduled optimally while the non-bottleneck machines are subordinated around the solutions of the bottleneck schedule by some effective dispatching rules.Computational results indicate that the MB heuristic can achieve a better tradeoff between solution quality and computational time compared to SB procedure for medium-size problems.Furthermore,it can obtain a good solution in a short time for large-scale job- shop scheduling problems.Zuo Yan Gu Hanyu Xi Yugeng 2007Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2007,18,3:20
3Repurposing vitamin D for treatment of human malignancies via targeting tumor microenvironment显示文摘Tumor cells along with a small proportion of cancer stem cells exist in a stromal microenvironment consisting of vasculature, cancer-associated fibroblasts, immune cells and extracellular components.Recent epidemiological and clinical studies strongly support that vitamin D supplementation is associated with reduced cancer risk and favorable prognosis. Experimental results suggest that vitamin D not only suppresses cancer cells, but also regulates tumor microenvironment to facilitate tumor repression. In this review, we have outlined the current knowledge on epidemiological studies and clinical trials of vitamin D. Notably, wesummarized and discussed the anticancer action of vitamin D in cancer cells, cancer stem cells and stroma cells in tumor microenvironment, providing a better understanding of the role of vitamin D in cancer. 5The Influence of Transgenic cry1Ab/cry1Ac,cry1C and cry2A Rice on Non-Target Planthoppers and Their Main Predators Under Field Conditions显示文摘Transgenic Bt rice has been shown to be an effective means of controlling Lepidoptera pests of rice.However,the potential roles of transgenic rice on planthoppers and their predators need to be investigated before its commercialization.Population density,species dominance and population dynamics are important parameters of arthropods populations in field.So the impacts of three transgenic Bt rice strains expressing cry1Ab/cry1Ac,cry1C and cry2A on population density,species dominance and population dynamics of three species of planthoppers(Nilaparvata lugens,Sogatella furcifera and Laodelphax striatellus) and their three main predators(Cyrtorhinus lividipennis,Pirata subpiraticus and Theridium octomaculatum) were evaluated at three sites in Hubei Province,China,in the current study.The results showed that among three species of planthoppers,both in transgenic and non-transgenic rice field,the predominant species of planthoppers within phytophagous guild was S.furcifera at any site either growing season(46-50%).Significantly higher population density of N.lugens was observed in T2A-1 field relative to Minghui 63 field at Wuxue in 2010.The species dominance of predator,P.subpiraticus,in TT51 field was significantly higher than that in T1C-19 and T2A-1 fields in 2009 at Xiaogan site.Sampling date significantly influenced six arthropods except for P.subpiraticus in 2010.The interaction between rice strain×sampling date had no significant adverse effects on the population dynamics of three species of planthoppers and their predators,except for several individual species in 2009.The interaction among rice strain×sampling date×sampling site also had no significant effect on six arthropods except for S.furcifera in 2009.The results indicated that transgenic Bt rice expressing cry1Ab/cry1Ac,cry2A and cry1C had no significant adverse effects on the population dynamics of three planthoppers and their predators in most investigated data and sampling site.HANYu XU Xue-liang MA Wei-hua YUAN Ben-qi WANG Hui LIU Fang-zhou WANG Man-qun WU Gang HUA Hong-xia 2011Agricultural Sciences in China2011,10,11:14

7Texture analysis on gadoxetic acid enhanced-MRI for predicting Ki-67 status in hepatocellular carcinoma: A prospective study显示文摘Objective: To investigate the value of whole-lesion texture analysis on preoperative gadoxetic acid enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) for predicting tumor Ki-67 status after curative resection in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods: This study consisted of 89 consecutive patients with surgically confirmed HCC. Texture features were extracted from multiparametric MRI based on whole-lesion regions of interest. The Ki-67 status was immunohistochemical determined and classified into low Ki-67(labeling index ≤15%) and high Ki-67(labeling index >15%) groups. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO) and multivariate logistic regression were applied for generating the texture signature, clinical nomogram and combined nomogram. The discrimination power, calibration and clinical usefulness of the three models were evaluated accordingly. Recurrence-free survival(RFS) rates after curative hepatectomy were also compared between groups.Results: A total of 13 texture features were selected to construct a texture signature for predicting Ki-67 status in HCC patients(C-index: 0.878, 95% confidence interval: 0.791-0.937). After incorporating texture signature to the clinical nomogram which included significant clinical variates(AFP, BCLC-stage, capsule integrity, tumor margin,enhancing capsule), the combined nomogram showed higher discrimination ability(C-index: 0.936 vs. 0.795,P<0.001), good calibration(P>0.05 in Hosmer-Lemeshow test) and higher clinical usefulness by decision curve analysis. RFS rate was significantly lower in the high Ki-67 group compared with the low Ki-67 group after curative surgery(63.27% vs. 85.00%, P<0.05).Conclusions: Texture analysis on gadoxetic acid enhanced MRI can serve as a noninvasive approach to preoperatively predict Ki-67 status of HCC after curative resection. 8Applications of Lithium-Ion Batteries in Grid-Scale Energy Storage Systems显示文摘In the electrical energy transformation process,the grid-level energy storage system plays an essential role in balancing power generation and utilization.Batteries have considerable potential for application to grid-level energy storage systems because of their rapid response,modularization,and flexible installation.Among several battery technologies,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)exhibit high energy efficiency,long cycle life,and relatively high energy density.In this perspective,the properties of LIBs,including their operation mechanism,battery design and construction,and advantages and disadvantages,have been analyzed in detail.Moreover,the performance of LIBs applied to grid-level energy storage systems is analyzed in terms of the following grid services:(1)frequency regulation;(2)peak shifting;(3)integration with renewable energy sources;and(4)power management.In addition,the challenges encountered in the application of LIBs are discussed and possible research directions aimed at overcoming these challenges are proposed to provide insight into the development of grid-level energy storage systems.Tianmei Chen Yi Jin Hanyu Lv Antao Yang Meiyi Liu Bing Chen Ying Xie Qiang Chen 2020Transactions of Tianjin University2020,26,3:9
9Effects of acupuncture treatment on natural killer cell activity,pulse rate,and pain reduction for older adults:an uncontrolled,observational study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to examine the changes in natural killer (NK) cell activity, pulse rate, and pain intensity among older adults before and after acupuncture treatment. METHODS: Fifty-six individuals (16 males and 40 females), aged 60 to 82 years (mean age 72.4 ± 5.0), who were experiencing pain in the shoulder, low back, or knee, participated in the study. NK cell activity, leukocyte differentiation (granulocytes and lymphocytes), pulse rate, and blood pressure values were obtained. Pain intensity was evaluated by using the visual analog scale (VAS). The Wilcoxon test was used to analyze NK cell activity, leukocytes (granulocyte counts and granulocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio), and the VAS score in accordance with the location of pain complaints before and after acupuncture treatment. RESULTS: NK cell activity decreased after acupuncture treatment for pain in the shoulder-pain and knee-pain groups. Further, the lymphocyte and granulocyte counts increased after acupuncture treatment for the shoulder-pain group. Pulse rate decreased for the shoulder-pain, low-back-pain, and knee-pain groups after acupuncture treatment. The VAS score decreased after acupuncture treatment for the shoulder-pain, low-back-pain, and knee-pain groups. 10Nonlinear optical selection rule based on valley-exciton locking in monolayer ws2显示文摘Optical selection rules fundamentally determine the optical transitions between energy states in a variety of physical systems,from hydrogen atoms to bulk crystals such as gallium arsenide.These rules are important for optoelectronic applications such as lasers,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,and quantum computation.Recently,single-layer transition metal dichalcogenides have been found to exhibit valleys in momentum space with nontrivial Berry curvature and excitons with large binding energy.However,there has been little study of how the unique valley degree of freedom combined with the strong excitonic effect influences the nonlinear optical excitation.Here,we report the discovery of nonlinear optical selection rules in monolayer WS2,an important candidate for visible 2D optoelectronics because of its high quantum yield and large direct bandgap.We experimentally demonstrated this principle for second-harmonic generation and two-photon luminescence(TPL).Moreover,the circularly polarized TPL and the study of its dynamics evince a sub-ps interexciton relaxation(2p R 1s).The discovery of this new optical selection rule in a valleytronic 2D system not only considerably enhances knowledge in this area but also establishes a foundation for the control of optical transitions that will be crucial for valley optoelectronic device applications such as 2D valley-polarized THz sources with 2p–1s transitions,optical switches,and coherent control for quantum computing.Jun Xiao Ziliang Ye Ying Wang Hanyu Zhu Yuan Wang Xiang Zhang 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:8
11Effect of wet flue gas desulfurization(WFGD) on fine particle(PM_(2.5)) emission from coal-fired boilers显示文摘In this study, the characteristics of fine particles before and after wet flue gas desulfurization(WFGD) in three coal-fired heating boilers in northern China were investigated by using a dilution-based emission sampling experimental system. The influences of the WFGD process on the mass and number concentrations as well as the chemical composition of fine particles were analyzed. The removal efficiency of desulfurization processes on particulate matter mass was 30.06%–56.25% for the three study units. The WFGD had a great influence on the size distributions of particle mass concentration and number concentration. A significant increase in the number and mass concentration of particles in the size range of 0.094–0.946 μm was observed. The watersoluble ion content accounted for a very large proportion of PM_(2.5) mass, and its proportion in PM_(2.5) increased from 28.39%–41.08% to 48.96%–61.21% after the WFGD process for the three units. The desulfurizing process also drastically increased the proportion of cation component(Ca^(2+) for unit A, Mg^(2+) for unit B, and Na+for unit C) and the proportion of SO_4^(2-) in PM_(2.5), and it increased the CE/AE values of PM_(2.5) from 0.82–0.98 to 0.93–1.27 for the three study units.Sen Yao Shuiyuan Cheng Jianbing Li Hanyu Zhang Jia Jia Xiaowei Sun 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,3:8
12Netrin-1 works with UNC5B to regulate angiogenesis in diabetic kidney disease显示文摘Netrin-1,an axon guidance factor,and its receptor UNC5B play important roles in axonal development and angiogenesis.This study examined netrin-1 and UNC5B expression in kidneys with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and investigated their roles in angiogenesis.Netrin-1 and UNC5B were upregulated in streptozotocininduced DKD Wistar rats,and their expression was compared with that in healthy controls.However,exogenous netrin-1 in UNC5B-depleted human renal glomerular endothelial cells (HRGECs) inhibited cell migration and tubulogenesis.This effect was likely associated with SRC pathway deactivation.Netrin-1 treatment also eliminated the pro-angiogenic effects of exogenous VEGF-165 on UNC5B-silenced HRGECs.These results indicate that UNC5B antagonizes netrin-1 and that UNC5B upregulation contributes partly to enhancing angiogenesis in DKD.Therefore,introducing exogenous netrin-1 and depleting endogenous UNC5B are potential strategies for reducing the incidence of early angiogenesis and mitigating kidney injury in DKD.Xiaojing Jiao Dong Zhang Quan Hong Lei Yan Qiuxia Han Fengmin Shao Guangyan Cai Xiangmei Chen Hanyu Zhu 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3:7
13Endobronchial metastasis from adenocarcinoma of gastric cardia 7 years after potentially curable resection显示文摘Endobronchial metastasis(EBM) is a rare form of metas-tasis from extrapulmonary malignant tumors,although there are few reports of EBM from gastric cancer specifically.We report the case of a 51-year-old woman who had undergone gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer seven years previously but was diagnosed with a solitary lung tumor by follow-up computed tomography.On diagnosis of primary lung cancer,she underwent pulmonary lobectomy,but immunohistochemical examination confirmed the resected tumor to be an EBM from the gastric cancer.Six months later,she was diagnosed with peritoneal metastases and underwent chemotherapy with gastric cancer regimen.She is still alive at 33 mo after the lobectomy.Generally,the prognosis for EBM is poor although multidisciplinary treatment can lead to long-term survival.Precise diagnosis on the basis of detailed pathological and immunohistochemical evaluation can contribute to deciding the most effective treatment and improving prognosis.Takaaki Hanyu Tatsuo Kanda Atsushi Matsuki Go Hasegawa Kazuhito Yajima Masanori Tsuchida Shin-ichi Kosugi Makoto Naito Katsuyoshi Hatakeyama 2010World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2010,2,8:7

15Functional assembly of root-associated microbial consortia improves nutrient efficiency and yield in soybean显示文摘Root-associated microbes are critical for plant growth and nutrient acquisition. However, scant information exists on optimizing communities of beneficial root-associated microbes or the mechanisms underlying their interactions with host plants. In this report, we demonstrate that rootassociated microbes are critical influencers of host plant growth and nutrient acquisition. Three synthetic communities(SynComs) were constructed based on functional screening of 1,893 microbial strains isolated from root-associated compartments of soybean plants. Functional assemblage of SynComs promoted significant plant growth and nutrient acquisition under both N/P nutrient deficiency and sufficiency conditions.Field trials further revealed that application of SynComs stably and significantly promoted plant growth, facilitated N and P acquisition, and subsequently increased soybean yield. Among the tested communities, SynCom1 exhibited the greatest promotion effect, with yield increases of up to 36.1% observed in two field sites. Further RNA-seq implied that SynCom application systemically regulates N and P signaling networks at the transcriptional level, which leads to increased representation of important growth pathways, especially those related to auxin responses. 17Multifunctional metaoptics based on bilayer metasurfaces显示文摘Optical metasurfaces have become versatile platforms for manipulating the phase,amplitude,and polarization of light.A platform for achieving independent control over each of these properties,however,remains elusive due to the limited engineering space available when using a single-layer metasurface.For instance,multiwavelength metasurfaces suffer from performance limitations due to space filling constraints,while control over phase and amplitude can be achieved,but only for a single polarization.Here,we explore bilayer dielectric metasurfaces to expand the design space for metaoptics.The ability to independently control the geometry and function of each layer enables the development of multifunctional metaoptics in which two or more optical properties are independently designed.As a proof of concept,we demonstrate multiwavelength holograms,multiwavelength waveplates,and polarization-insensitive 3D holograms based on phase and amplitude masks.The proposed architecture opens a new avenue for designing complex flat optics with a wide variety of functionalities.You Zhou Ivan I.Kravchenko Hao Wang Hanyu Zheng Gong Gu Jason Valentine 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:4
