Lower Triassic Inorganic Carbon Isotope Excursion in Chaohu, Anhui Province, China显示文摘This paper reports a Lower Triassic inorganic carbon isotope profile from the North Pingdingshan Section in Chaohu, Anhui Province, China, which was situated in a deep part of the Lower Yangtze carbonate ramp. The δ ( 13 C) excursion shows two periods from the Permian Triassic boundary to the lower Spathian substage, corresponding to the ecosystem undergoing evolution and recovery after the end Permian mass extinction and related events. The first period starts at the δ ( 13 C) depletion caused by the mass extinction and evolves with a gradual δ ( 13 C) increase resulting from the development of some disaster taxa during the Induan. The strong Smithian δ ( 13 C) depletion in the second period might be formed by the collapse of the disaster ecosystem and the biotic recovery occurred with the explosive increase of bioproductivity in the Spathian. Thus the δ ( 13 C) excursion in the Lower Triassic expresses patterns of biotic evolution and recovery during the erratic ecosystem that followed the great end Permian mass extinction. | Tong Jinnan Qiu Haiou Zhao Laishi Zuo Jingxun China University of Geosciences, Wuhan 430074 | 2002 | Journal of China University of Geosciences2002,13,2: | 26
Fluid/melt in continental deep subduction zones: Compositions and related geochemical fractionations显示文摘Plate subduction is the most magnificent process in the Earth. Subduction zones are important sites for proceeding matter- and energy- transports between the Earth's surface and the interior, continental crust growth, and crust-mantle interactions. Besides, a number of geological processes in subduction zones are closely related to human beings' daily life, such as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, formation of mineral deposits. Subduction process thus has long been the centric topic of Earth sciences. The finding in 1980 s that continental crust could be subducted to mantle depths is a revolutionary progress in plate tectonic theory. Compared to oceanic crust, continental crust is colder, drier, lighter, and much more geochemically/isotopically heterogeneous. Hence, continental subduction process would affect the structure, compositions and evolutions of the overlying mantle wedge even more. During continental subduction and subsequent exhumation, fluids and melts can be generated in the(de)hydration process and partial melting process, respectively. These melts/fluids play important roles in crust-mantle interactions, elemental migrations, isotopic fractionations, and mantle metasomatism. By summarizing recent research works on subduction zones in this paper, we present a review on the types, physicochemical conditions and compositions of fluids/melts, as well as the migration behaviors of fluid-related characteristic elements(Nb-Ta-V) and the fractionation behaviors of non-traditional stable isotopes(Li-Mg) in subduction zones. The aim of this paper is to provide the readers an update comprehensive overview of the melt/fluid activities in subduction zones and of Li-Mg isotope systematics in subduction-related rocks and minerals. | XIAO YiLin SUN He GU HaiOu HUANG Jian LI WangYe LIU Lei | 2015 | Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,9: | 12

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Al_2O_3/ZrO_2 Directionally Solidified Eutectic Ceramic Prepared by Laser 3D Printing显示文摘Directionally solidified eutectic ceramics such as(Al)_2O_3/ZrO_2 are promising structural materials for applications in harsh environment with an ultrahigh temperature. In this work, through adopting assistant heating laser 3D printing,(Al)_2O_3/ZrO_2eutectic samples were manufactured with suppressing the formation of cracks. The dependence of the average rod spacing(λav) on the scanning rate(V) follows a relation with λav V0.5= 1 μm1.5s–0.5. Typical eutectic microstructures, so-called complex regular, were analyzed with respect to its evolution with modulating the growth conditions. Formation mechanism of the solidification defect, shrinkage porosity, was discussed and the defect is found to be significantly suppressed by optimizing the solidification parameters. The maximum hardness and fracture toughness are measured to be 16.7 GPa and 4.5 MPa m1/2, respectively. The interplay between the propagation of cracks and the (Al)_2O_3/ZrO_2 interface is discussed. | Zhi Liu Kan Song Bo Gao Tian Tian Haiou Yang Xin Lin Weidong Huang | 2016 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,4: | 12
High strength and ductility of 34CrNiMo6 steel produced by laser solid forming显示文摘Because of the excellent mechanical properties of 34 CrNiMo6 steel, it is widely used in high-value components. Many conventional approaches to strengthening-steels typically involve the loss of useful ductility. In this study, 34 CrNiMo6 Steel having high strength and ductility is produced by laser solid forming(LSF)with a quenching-tempering(QT) treatment. Tempering of bainite is mainly by solid phase transformation in the previous LSF layers during the LSF process. The stable microstructure of LSF consists of ferrite and fine carbides. The microstructure transfers to tempered sorbite after heat-treatment. The tensile properties of the LSF steel meet those of the wrought standard. The UTS and elongation of LSF sample at 858 MPa, 19.2%, respectively, are greater than those of the wrought. The QT treatment enhanced the ultimate tensile strength and yield strength of the LSF sample. The ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, reduction in area, and elongation of the LSF+QT sample at 980 MPa, 916 MPa, 58.9%, and 13.9%,respectively, are greater than those of the wrought standard. The yield strength of the LSF+QT sample is approximately 1.27 times that of the wrought. The LSF samples failed in a ductile fracture mode, while the LSF+QT samples showed mixed-mode failure. The defects have only a small effect on the tensile properties owing to the excellent ductility of the LSF sample. | Chunping Huang Xin Lin Fencheng Liu Haiou Yang Weidong Huang | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,2: | 6

ASCS Online Fault Detection and Isolation Based on an Improved MPCA显示文摘Multi-way principal component analysis(MPCA)has received considerable attention and been widely used in process monitoring.A traditional MPCA algorithm unfolds multiple batches of historical data into a two-dimensional matrix and cut the matrix along the time axis to form subspaces. However, low efficiency of subspaces and difficult fault isolation are the common disadvantages for the principal component model. This paper presents a new subspace construction method based on kernel density estimation function that can effectively reduce the storage amount of the subspace information. The MPCA model and the knowledge base are built based on the new subspace. Then, fault detection and isolation with the squared prediction error(SPE)statistic and the Hotelling(T2)statistic are also realized in process monitoring. When a fault occurs, fault isolation based on the SPE statistic is achieved by residual contribution analysis of different variables. For fault isolation of subspace based on the T2 statistic, the relationship between the statistic indicator and state variables is constructed, and the constraint conditions are presented to check the validity of fault isolation. Then,to improve the robustness of fault isolation to unexpected disturbances, the statistic method is adopted to set the relation between single subspace and multiple subspaces to increase the corrective rate of fault isolation. Finally fault detection and isolation based on the improved MPCA is used to monitor the automatic shift control system(ASCS)to prove the correctness and effectiveness of the algorithm. The research proposes a new subspace construction method to reduce the required storage capacity and to prove the robustness of the principal component model, and sets the relationship between the state variables and fault detection indicators for fault isolation. | PENG Jianxin LIU Haiou HU Yuhui XI Junqiang CHEN Huiyan | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,5: | 3
Effect of dissolved organic matter on nitrate-nitrogen removal by anion exchange resin and kinetics studies显示文摘The effects of dissolved organic matter (DOM) on the removal of nitrate-nitrogen from the model contaminated water have been investigated utilizing the strong base anion exchange resins. With the increase of gallic acid concentration from 0 to 400 mg/L, the adsorption amount of nitrate-nitrogen on the commercial resins, including D201, Purolite A 300 (A300) and Purolite A 520E (A520E), would significantly decrease. However, the presence of tannin acid has little impact on nitrate-nitrogen adsorption on them. Compared to D201 and A300 resins, A520E resin exhibited more preferable adsorption ability toward nitrate-nitrogen in the presence of competing organic molecules, such as gallic acid and tannin acid at greater levels in aqueous solution. Attractively, the equilibrium data showed that the adsorption isotherm of nitrate-nitrogen on A520E resin was in good agreement with Langmuir and Freundlich equations. The rate parameters for the intra particle diffusion have been estimated for the different initial concentrations. In batch adsorption processes, nitrate-nitrogen diffuse in porous adsorbent and rate process usually depends on t 1/2 rather than the contact time. The pseudo first- and the second-order kinetic models fit better for nitrate-nitrogen adsorption onto A520E resin. The observations reported herein illustrated that A520E resin will be an excellent adsorbent for enhanced removal of nitrate-nitrogen from contaminated groundwater. | Haiou Song Zhijian Yao Mengqiao Wang Jinnan Wang Zhaolian Zhu Aimin Li | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,1: | 3
Statistical Characteristics of Metastable Pitting of 316 Stainless Steel显示文摘The statistical characteristics of the Current fluctuations during metastable pitting of 316L stain- less steel in NaCI solution were studied using potentiostatic method. The growth rates and peak currents of metastable pits followed log-normal distributions. As potential and chloride concentration increased, both growth rate and peak current of metastable pits increased. The lifetime of metastable pits also followed log-normal distribution. and was almost not affected by potential. Higher growth rates did not definitely result in larger metastable pits. A certain propagation rate range was found beneficial for the micropit to remain growth. At constant potential, the maximum peak currents in different time intervals during a potentiostatic test followed extreme distribution. The statistical characteristics of metastable pitting may be used to predict the tendency of pitting corrosion. | Yu ZUO, Haiou DU and Jinping XIONG (Dept. of Applied Chemistry, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing 100029, China) | 2000 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2000,16,3: | 3
Deep dynamical processes in the central-southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau—Receiver functions and travel-time residuals analysis of north Hi-Climb显示文摘Teleseismic receiver functions and travel-time residuals along the north Hi-Climb broadband seismic array in the central-southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau show that the lithosphere structures in the central and western Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are different. In the central Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Indian Plate is northward subducted beneath the Qiangtang block and arrives at the greatest depth beneath the central-southern Qiangtang block. The delaminated Indian lithospheric slab remains beneath the central Lhasa block to a depth possibly greater than that of the upper interface of the mantle transform zone. In the western Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Indian lithospheric plate is gently northward subducted and may have arrived to the south of Tarim plate. Due to the resistance from the gently northward subduction of the Indian mantle lithosphere in the western Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the upwelling mantle material be-neath the Qiangtang block moves mostly toward the east to bring about the lateral eastward flow of the deep mantle hot material in the central Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. | LI HaiOu XU XiWei JIANG Mei | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,9: | 3
Influence of NO2^- on the Microscopic Structure and Physical Properties of the Binary Nitrate Salts: a Molecular Dynamics Simulation Study显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulation method was used to study the influence of NO2^- on both the structure and properties of the binary nitrate salts(60 wt.% NaNO3 + 40 wt.% KNO3). The density and viscosity of the mixtures were experimentally measured and the simulation results met well with the experimental ones. The simulation results showed that, with the addition of NO2^-, the ionic clusters tended to loose and the mobilities of all the ions tended to increase. The density, viscosity, and heat capacity decreased while the thermal conductivity increased with the increase of NO2^- concentration. The correlation between the microscopic structure and physical properties of the mixtures were discussed and revealed. | NI Haiou WU Jie SUN Ze LU Guimin YU Jianguo | 2020 | Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,2: | 2
Radiation-pressure-induced photoluminescence enhancement of all-inorganic perovskite CsPbBr3 quantum dots显示文摘Perovskite quantum dots(QDs) are of great interest due to their outstanding optoelectronic properties and tremendous application potential. Improving photoluminescence(PL) spectra in all-inorganic perovskite QDs is of great importance for performance enhancement. In this work, the PL quantum yield of the CsPbBr3 perovskite QDs is enhanced from 70% to 95% with increasing radiation pressure. Such enhancement is attributed to the increased binding energy of self-trapped excitons(STEs) upon radiation pressure, which is consistent with its blue-shifted PL and other characterization results. Furthermore, we study ultrafast absorption spectroscopy and find that the dynamics of relaxation from free excitons to STEs in radiation pressure CsPbBr3 QDs is ascribed to stronger electron–phonon coupling in the contracted octahedral structure. It is further demonstrated that radiation pressure can boost the PL efficiency and explore effectively the relationship between the structure and optical properties. | YING ZHANG HAIOU ZHU TAIWU HUANG ZONGPENG SONG SHUANGCHEN RUAN | 2019 | Photonics Research2019,7,8: | 2

Coating performance on glutaraldehyde-modified wood显示文摘Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.) panels were modified with glutaraldehyde(GA) to various weight percent gains and subsequently coated with several commercial coatings. The drying rate and adhesion of the coatings on the modified wood were measured; the coated/modified woods were exposed outdoors to analyze how the wood modifications influence the coating deterioration. The results showed that GA modification caused an increase in the drying rate of the waterborne coatings, but had no influence on drying of tested solvent-borne coatings. GAmodification did not change the dry adhesion but reduced the wood strength in a pull-off test. Wet adhesion of waterborne coatings was improved, while that of the solvent-borne coatings tended to be somewhat reduced. During 22 months of outdoor weathering, the coated/modified samples exhibited lower moisture content than the coated/unmodified samples, but GA modification didn't contribute a substantially synergistic effect with surface coatings on resistance to weathering. | Zefang Xiao Haiou Chen Carsten Mai Holger Militz Yanjun Xie | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,1: | 2
Polarized holographic lithography system for high-uniformity microscale patterning with periodic tunability显示文摘Periodic microscale array structures play an important role in diverse applications involving photonic crystals and diffraction gratings.A polarized holographic lithography system is proposed for patterning high-uniformity microscale two-dimensional crossed-grating structures with periodic tunability.Orthogonal two-axis Lloyd’s mirror interference and polarization modulation produce three sub-beams,enabling the formation of two-dimensional crossed-grating patterns with wavelength-comparable periods by a single exposure. The two-dimensional-pattern period can also be flexibly tuned by adjusting the interferometer spatial positioning.Polarization states of three sub-beams,defining the uniformity of the interference fringes, are modulated at their initial-polarization states based on a strict full polarization tracing model in a three-dimensional space.A polarization modulation model is established considering two conditions of eliminating the unexpected interference and providing the desired identical interference intensities. The proposed system is a promising approach for fabricating high-uniformity two-dimensional crossed gratings with a relatively large grating period range of 500–1500 nm.Moreover, our rapid and stable approach for patterning period-tunable two-dimensional-array microstructures with high uniformity could be applicable to other multibeam interference lithography techniques. | Gaopeng Xue Qihang Zhai Haiou Lu Qian Zhou Kai Ni Liyu Lin Xiaohao Wang Xinghui Li | 2021 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,2: | 2
Design Fe-based Eutectic Medium-Entropy Alloys Fe_2NiCrNb_x显示文摘High-entropy alloys have attracted broad research interests due to their unique and intriguing mechanical properties. As a category of high-entropy alloys, eutectic high-entropy alloys combine the advantages of eutectic and high-entropy alloys, with excellent mechanical properties and casting properties. Some eutectic high-entropy alloys have been developed and shown exciting properties. In this paper, based on the physical metallurgy of eutectic high-entropy alloy, medium-entropy alloy Fe_(2)NiCrNb_(x) was designed. The as-cast alloy is composed of FCC and Laves phases, Nb element promotes the formation of primary Laves phase, and the hardness of the alloy increases with the increase in Nb element. Among the four alloys, the eutectic chemical composition at eutectic point is Fe_(2)NiCrNb_(0.34);the alloy has a good strength and plastic balance. The ultimate comprehensive strength is 2267 MPa, and the fracture strain is 30.8%. The experiment data and analyses identified the eutectic points and the excellent mechanical behavior. Moreover, the expensive Co element was replaced by Fe element. | 20 | Laser powder bed fusion of high-strength Sc/Zr-modified Al–Mg alloy:phase selection,microstructural/mechanical heterogeneity, and tensile deformation behavior显示文摘Laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)of Sc/Zr-modified Al-based alloys has recently become a promising method for developing a new generation of high-performance Al alloys. To clarify the modification roles of Sc/Zr elements,an Al–4.66Mg–0.48Mn–0.72Sc–0.33Zr(wt.%)alloy was processed using L-PBF.The effect of the local solidification condition of the molten pool on the precipitation behavior of primary Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)was analyzed based on time-dependent nucleation theory. It was found that primary Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)inevitably precipitated at the fusion boundary, while its precipitation could be effectively suppressed in the inner region of the molten pool. This subsequently induced the formation of a heterogeneousα-Al matrix. After direct aging, the heredity of solidification microstructure introduced heterogeneous secondary Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)precipitates withinα-Al matrix.Owing to the inverse relationship between grain boundary strengthening and precipitation strengthening, the direct-aged sample with dual heterogeneous structures exhibited reduced mechanical heterogeneity, resulting in lowered hetero-deformation-induced hardening. The low strain-hardening capability in the direct-aged sample promoted necking instability while inducing a large Lüders elongation, which effectively improved the tensile ductility. | Zihong Wang Xin Lin Nan Kang Jing Chen Hua Tan Zhe Feng Zehao Qin Haiou Yang Weidong Huang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36: | 2
