| 1 | The Bedload Movement in the Changjiang Estuary显示文摘- Sandwaves in the Changjiang estuary were measured with a shallow sediment profiler and an echosounder from 1978 to 1988. The data, together with grain size and bedform of sediment indicates that the bedload movement by rolling and saltation is of great significance to sediment transport and is the principal factor responsible for sandwave and sandbody development in the estuary. The sandwaves were found well-developed, which is related to the tidal range and the velocity of ebb current. However, the further growth is restricted by strong flood current prevailing in the estuary. Because of the significant bedload, the sandbodies shift obviously and frequently, and sometimes the exchange of position occurs between the sandbodies and tidal channels. | 3 | On-ramp merging strategy for connected and automated vehicles based on complete information static game显示文摘Improper handling of vehicle on-ramp merging may hinder traffic flow and contribute to lower fuel economy,while also increasing the risk of collisions.Cooperative control for connected and automated vehicles(CAVs)has the potential to significantly reduce negative environmental impact while also improve driving safety and traffic efficiency.Therefore,in this paper,we focus on the scenario of CAVs on-ramp merging and propose a centralized control method.Merging sequence(MS)allocation and motion planning are two key issues in this process.To deal with these problems,we first propose an MS allocation method based on a complete information static game whereby the mixed-strategy Nash equilibrium is calculated for an individual vehicle to select its strategy.The on-ramp merging problem is then formulated as a bi-objective(total fuel consumption and total travel time)optimization problem,to which optimal control based on Pontryagin's minimum principle(PMP)is applied to solve the motion planning issue.To determine the proper parameters in the bi-objective optimization problem,a varying-scale grid search method is proposed to explore possible solutions at different scales.In this method,an improved quicksort algorithm is designed to search for the Pareto front,and the(approximately)unbiased Pareto solution for the bi-objective optimization problem is finally determined as the optimal solution.The proposed on-ramp merging strategy is validated via numerical simulation,and comparison with other strategies demonstrates its effectiveness in terms of fuel economy and traffic efficiency. | Haigen Min Yukun Fang Xia Wu Guoyuan Wu Xiangmo Zhao | 2021 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2021，8，4： | 5 |
| 4 | The effect of environmental factors on spatial variability in land use change in the high-sediment region of China's Loess Plateau显示文摘In areas with topographic heterogeneity, land use change is spatially variable and influenced by climate, soil properties, and topography. To better understand this variability in the high-sediment region of the Loess Plateau in which soil loss is most severe and sediment diameter is larger than in other regions of the plateau, this study builds some indicators to identify the characteristics of land use change and then analyze the spatial variability as it is affected by climate, soil property, and topography. We build two indicators, a land use change intensity index and a vegetation change index, to characterize the intensity of land use change, and the degree of vegetation restoration, respectively. Based on a subsection mean method, the two indicators are then used to assess the spatial variability of land use change affected by climatic, edaphic, and topographic elements. The results indicate that: 1) Land use changed significantly in the period 1998–2010. The total area experiencing land use change was 42,302 km2, accounting for 22.57%of the study area. High-coverage grassland, other woodland, and forest increased significantly, while low-coverage grassland and farmland decreased in 2010 compared with 1998. 2) Land use change occurred primarily west of the Yellow River, between 35 and 38 degrees north latitude. The four transformation types, including(a) low-coverage grassland to medium-coverage grassland,(b) medium-coverage grassland to high-coverage grassland,(c) farmland to other woodland, and(d) farmland to medium-coverage grassland, were the primary types of land use change, together constituting 60% of the area experiencing land use change. 3) The spatial variability of land use change was significantly affected by properties of dryness/wetness, soil conditions and slope gradient. In general, land use changed dramatically in semi-arid regions, remained relativelystable in arid regions, changed significantly in clay-rich soil, remained relatively stable in clay-poor soil, changed dramatically in steeper slopes, and remained relatively stable in tablelands and low-lying regions. The increase in vegetation coincided with increasing changes in land use for each physical element. | 8 | News recommendation based on time factor and word embedding显示文摘Existing algorithms of news recommendations lack in depth analysis of news texts and timeliness. To address these issues, an algorithm for news recommendations based on time factor and word embedding(TFWE) was proposed to improve the interpretability and precision of news recommendations. First, TFWE used term frequency-inverse document frequency(TF-IDF) to extract news feature words and used the bidirectional encoder representations from transformers(BERT) pre-training model to convert the feature words into vector representations. By calculating the distance between the vectors, TFWE analyzed the semantic similarity to construct a user interest model. Second, considering the timeliness of news, a method of calculating news popularity by integrating time factors into the similarity calculation was proposed. Finally, TFWE combined the similarity of news content with the similarity of collaborative filtering(CF) and recommended some news with higher rankings to users.
