| 1 | Altitudinal changes of surface pollen and vegetation on the north slope of the Middle Tianshan Mountains,China显示文摘To provide information on vegetation patterns and altitudinal distributions of pollen assemblage in surface soil layers,their complicated relationships in a dryland mountain-basin system in northwestern China and a realistic basis for paleovegetational reconstruction,we investigated 86 vegetation quadrats and analyzed 80 soil samples from the surface soil layers along an altitudinal transect on the north slope of the Middle Tianshan Mountains from alpine cushion vegetation at 3,510 m near glacier to desert vegetation at 460 m in the Gurbantunggut Desert.According to surface pollen assemblages and the results of the detrended correspondence analysis,the transect can be divided into six major altitudinal pollen zones as alpine cushion vegetation,alpine and subalpine meadows,montane Picea forest,forest-steppe ecotone,Artemisia desert and typical desert,which basically reflect the characteristics of the mountainous vegetation patterns on the north slope of the Middle Tianshan Mountains.However,Picea pollen also exists outside the spruce forest,Chenopodiaceae and Artemisia pollen appeared above the elevation of 1,300 m,indicating that most of them might be introduced from lower elevations by upslope winds.Airborne pollen researches from three regions at different elevations further suggest that a high-frequency northwest anabatic wind has a remarkable influence on the transportation and dispersion of surface pollen in the area. | YANG Zhenjing ZHANG Yun REN Haibao YAN Shun KONG Zhaochen MA Keping NI Jian | 2016 | Journal of Arid Land2016,8,5: | 17 |
| 2 | Comparison of phylobetadiversity indices based on community data from Gutianshan forest plot显示文摘Phylobetadiversity incorporates phylogenetic information and beta diversity,and can account for the ecological similarities between communities with a phylogenetic perspective.Although different phylobetadiversity indices reflect differences in different characteristics between communities,the results of different phylobetadiversity indices are not comparable.In this study we examined phylobetadiversity indices for a 24-hm 2 plot in the Gutianshan National Nature Reserve.It was found the abundanceweighted D pw was almost identical to Rao's D of Rao's quadratic entropy.PhyloSor had a similar ecological meaning and algorithm to UniFrac.Although Dnn was different in definition from UniFrac and PhyloSor,they were all strongly correlated.The effect of species abundance on phylobetadiversity was not significant when scales were relatively small,but was significant at larger scales.These contrasts likely resulted from reductions in evenness in communities as scales increased.P ST and Rao's H better reflected the distance-decay changes caused by spatial and habitat variation than other indices at larger scales,whereas AW-D nn and D nn better reflected these changes at small scales. | FENG Gang ZHANG JinLong PEI NanCai RAO MiDe MI XiangCheng REN HaiBao MA KePing | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,6: | 9 |
| 3 | Toluene decomposition performance and NOx by-product formation during a DBD-catalyst process显示文摘Characteristics of toluene decomposition and formation of nitrogen oxide(NOx) by-products were investigated in a dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) reactor with/without catalyst at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Four kinds of metal oxides, i.e., manganese oxide(Mn Ox), iron oxide(Fe Ox), cobalt oxide(Co Ox) and copper oxide(Cu O), supported on Al2O3/nickel foam, were used as catalysts. It was found that introducing catalysts could improve toluene removal efficiency, promote decomposition of by-product ozone and enhance CO2 selectivity. In addition, NOx was suppressed with the decrease of specific energy density(SED) and the increase of humidity, gas flow rate and toluene concentration, or catalyst introduction. Among the four kinds of catalysts, the Cu O catalyst showed the best performance in NOx suppression. The Mn Ox catalyst exhibited the lowest concentration of O3 and highest CO2 selectivity but the highest concentration of NOx. A possible pathway for NOx production in DBD was discussed. | 6 | Rebound behaviors of droplets impacting on a superhydrophobic surface显示文摘The rebound behaviors of droplets impacting on a self-fabricated superhydrophobic brass surface (WCA=164.5°) were observed and studied by using high-speed-camera. In accordance with energy conversion, theoretical analysis of different behaviors and rebound mechanism were given. At lower velocities, three behaviors in different velocity ranges were observed: partial rebounding, entire rebounding and ejecting during rebounding. At higher velocities, such two behaviors as rebound after splashing and rebound, ejecting after splashing, occurred alternately and exhibited certain periodicity. | 9 | Review of surface transient charge measurement on solid insulating materials via the Pockels technique显示文摘Surface charges accumulated on solid insulating materials in electrical apparatuses and electronic devices could distort the initial electric field and severely damage the insulation performance.Accurate transient surface charge measurement is critical to determine the mechanisms of charge transport and flashover occurrence,and estimate surface insulation strength under high voltage.The measurement technique based on the Pockels electro-optic effect is considered as the only approach for 2-D dynamic charge distribution behaviour so far,and it has good capability to avoid original electric field distortion caused by conven-tional methods featured by metal probes.This paper reviews recent progress of the non-invasive dynamic surface charge measurement systems on the Pockels technique.We focus especially on typical systems with transmitting and reflecting configurations and the frequently used fast inversion algorithms.It can be inferred that higher spatial-temporal resolution,higher signal-to-noise ratio,and better compatibility for both transparent and opaque materials are the future development trends,which greatly depend on multiple technological breakthroughs at impact-resistant electro-optic crystals,advanced high-speed photography and high-performance inversion algorithms.In addition,the recent studies on transient behaviour of surface discharge,together with the present limitation and future prospects are discussed.It is expected that more ideas will be inspired in transient surface charge measurement by the Pockels technique and other relevant electro-optic methods. | Bo Zhang Jianyi Xue Xingyu Chen Sile Chen Haibao Mu Yang Xu Guanjun Zhang | 2021 | High Voltage2021,6,4: | 2 |
| 10 | Spatial variation in community structure of a subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest:Implications for sampling design显示文摘With the full survey data for a 24-ha subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest dynamics plot,we evaluated spatial variation in forest structure characteristics(basal area and aboveground biomass),and calculated the minimal sample size and total sampling area necessary to estimate the forest structure characteristics within 20%(±10%) of the observed values with 95% probability for particular quadrat sizes by using a computer program that is designed to simulate the sampling process by allowing different sized quadrats to be randomly located within the sampling region.We found that(1) based on the 600 20 m×20 m subplots,basal area and aboveground biomass displayed a high degree of variation,with respective coefficients of variation of 27% and 31%;(2) based on the computer simulation analysis,the variability of basal area and aboveground biomass decreased with increasing quadrat size.The number of quadrats required to achieve the specified degree of precision dropped sharply with the increase of quadrat size.However,the total sampling area increased with increasing quadrat size,suggesting that using several small quadrats across the sampling area is more efficient than using fewer larger quadrats.Results of this study are valuable for evaluating the reliability of previous research and may assist researchers in designing effective sampling strategies for future field surveys,particularly in subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests in China. | LIN DunMei LAI JiangShan MI XiangCheng REN HaiBao MA KePing | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,10: | 2 |

| 12 | Defect self-assembly of metal-organic framework triggers ferroptosis to overcome resistance显示文摘The emergence of multidrug treatment resistance presents a hurdle for the successful chemotherapy of tumours.Ferroptosis,resulting from the iron-dependent accumulation of lipid peroxides,has the potential to reverse multidrug resistance.However,simultaneous delivery of the iron sources,ferroptosis inducers,drugs,and enhanced circulation carriers within matrices remains a significant challenge.Herein,we designed and fabricated a defect self-assembly of metal-organic framework(MOF)-red blood cell(RBC)membrane-camouflaged multi-drug-delivery nanoplatform for combined ferroptosis-apoptosis treatment of multidrug-resistant cancer.Ferroptosis and chemotherapeutic drugs are embedded in the centre of the iron(III)-based MOF at defect sites by coordination with metal clusters during a one-pot solvothermal synthesis process.The RBC membrane could camouflage the nanoplatform for longer circulation.Our results demonstrate that this defect self-assembly-enabled MOF-membrane-camouflaged nanoplatform could deplete the glutathione,amplify the reactive oxidative species oxidative stress,and enable remarkable anticancer properties.Our work provides an alternative strategy for overcoming multidrug resistance,which could regulate the fluidity and permeability of the cell membrane by ferroptosis to downregulate of P-glycoprotein protein expression by ferroptosis.This defect self-assembly-enabled MOF-membrane-camouflaged multi-drug-delivery nanoplatform has great therapeutic potential. | Haibao Peng Xingcai Zhang Peng Yang Jiaxu Zhao Wei Zhang Nianping Feng Wuli Yang Jing Tang | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,1: | 2 |
