1MiR-182 is up-regulated and targeting Cebpa in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are endogenous small non-coding RNAs that repress their targets at post transcriptional level.Existing studies have shown that miRNAs are important regulatory genes in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),as either tumor suppressors or oncogenes.MiR-122 is normally downregulated in HCC and regarded as a tumor suppressor.Recently miR-122 has been reported to be regulated by CEBPA,which is then involved in a novel pathway to influence proliferation of tumor cells.However it is unknown whether CEBPA is regulated by miRNAs in HCC.In this study,we find that miR-182 is upregulated in HCC model rat,and represses CEBPA in both rat and human.This further improves the current CEBPA/miR-122 pathway that controls the proliferation of tumor cells.These results suggest that miR-182 is a potential oncogene in HCC and could be used as a diagnostic marker and drug target of HCC.Chenggang Wang Ren Ren Haolin Hu Changjun Tan Miao Han Xiaolin Wang Yun Zheng 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1:13
2A chromosome-scale genome assembly of Isatis indigotica,an important medicinal plant used in traditional Chinese medicine显示文摘Isatis indigotica(2n=14)is an important medicinal plant in China.Its dried leaves and roots(called Isatidis Folium and Isatidis Radix,respectively)are broadly used in traditional Chinese medicine for curing diseases caused by bacteria and viruses such as influenza and viral pneumonia.Various classes of compounds isolated from this species have been identified as effective ingredients.Previous studies based on transcriptomes revealed only a few candidate genes for the biosynthesis of these active compounds in this medicinal plant.Here,we report a high-quality chromosome-scale genome assembly of I.indigotica with a total size of 293.88 Mb and scaffold N50=36.16 Mb using single-molecule real-time long reads and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture techniques.We annotated 30,323 highconfidence protein-coding genes.Based on homolog searching and functional annotations,we identified many candidate genes involved in the biosynthesis of main active components such as indoles,terpenoids,and phenylpropanoids.In addition,we found that some key enzyme-coding gene families related to the biosynthesis of these components were expanded due to tandem duplications,which likely drove the production of these major active compounds and explained why I.indigotica has excellent antibacterial and antiviral activities.Our results highlighted the importance of genome sequencing in identifying candidate genes for metabolite synthesis in medicinal plants.Minghui Kang Haolin Wu Qiao Yang Li Huang Quanjun Hu Tao Ma Zaiyun Li Jianquan Liu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:9
3Properties of Cloud and Precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The characteristics of seasonal precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau(TP) were investigated using TRMM(Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission) precipitation data(3B43). Sensitive regions of summer precipitation interannual variation anomalies were investigated using EOF(empirical orthogonal function) analysis. Furthermore, the profiles of cloud water content(CWC) and precipitable water in different regions and seasons were analyzed using TRMM-3A12 data observed by the TRMM Microwave Imager. Good agreement was found between hydrometeors and precipitation over the eastern and southeastern TP, where water vapor is adequate, while the water vapor amount is not significant over the western and northern TP.Further analysis showed meridional and zonal anomalies of CWC centers in the ascending branch of the Hadley and Walker Circulation, especially over the south and east of the TP. 4Pervasive hybridization during evolutionary radiation of Rhododendron subgenus Hymenanthes in mountains of southwest China显示文摘Radiations are especially important for generating species biodiversity in mountainous ecosystems.The contribution of hybridization to such radiations has rarely been examined.Here,we use extensive genomic data to test whether hybridization was involved in evolutionary radiation within Rhododendron subgenus Hymenanthes,whose members show strong geographic isolation in the mountains of southwest China.We sequenced genomes for 143 species of this subgenus and 93 species of four other subgenera,and found that Hymenanthes was monophyletic and radiated during the late Oligocene to middle Miocene.Widespread hybridization events were inferred within and between the identified clades and subclades.This suggests that hybridization occurred both early and late during diversification of subgenus Hymenan thes,although the extent to which hybridization,speciation through mixing-isolation-mixing or hybrid speciation,accelerated the diversification needs further exploration.Cycles of isolation and contact in such and other montane ecosystems may have together promoted species radiation through hybridization between diverging populations and species.Similar radiation processes may apply to other montane floras in this region and elsewhere.Yazhen Ma Xingxing Mao Ji Wang Lei Zhang Yuanzhong Jiang Yuying Geng Tao Ma Liming Cai Shuangquan Huang Pete Hollingsworth Kangshan Mao Minghui Kang Yiling Li Wenlu Yang Haolin Wu Yang Chen Charles C.Davis Nawal Shrestha Richard H.Ree Zhenxiang Xi Quanjun Hu Richard I.Milne Jianquan Liu 2022National Science Review2022,9,12:1

7Approximate CN scheme and its open region problems for metamaterial rotational symmetric simulation显示文摘In order to simulate metamaterial rotational symmetric open region problems,unconditionally stable perfectly match layer(PML)implementation is proposed in the body of revolution(BOR)finite-difference time-domain(FDTD)lattice.More precisely,the proposed algorithm is implemented by the Crank-Nicolson(CN)Douglas-Gunn(DG)procedure for BOR metamaterial simulation.The constitutive relationship of metamaterial can be expressed by the Drude model and calculated by the piecewise linear recursive convolution(PLRC)approach.The effectiveness including absorption,efficiency,and accuracy is demonstrated through the numerical example.It can be concluded that the proposed implementation is to take the advantages of the CNDG-PML procedure,PLRC approach,and BORFDTD algorithm in terms of considerable accuracy,enhanced absorption and remarkable efficiency.Meanwhile,it can be demonstrated that the proposed scheme can maintain its unconditional stability when the time step exceeds the CourantFriedrichs-Levy(CFL)condition.WU Peiyu YU Han HU Yenan XIE Yongjun JIANG Haolin 2022Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2022,33,6:1
8A Frost Heaving Prediction Approach for Ground Uplift Simulation Due to Freeze-Sealing Pipe Roof Method显示文摘Freeze-sealing pipe roof method is applied in the Gongbei tunnel,which causes the ground surface uplift induced by frost heave.A frost heaving prediction approach based on the coefficient of cold expansion is proposed to simulate the ground deformation of the Gongbei tunnel.The coefficient of cold expansion in the model and the frost heaving rate from the frost heave test under the hydration condition can achieve a good correspondence making the calculation result closer to the actual engineering.The ground surface uplift along the lateral and longitudinal direction are respectively analyzed and compared with the field measured data to validate the model.The results show that a good agreement between the frost heaving prediction model and the field measured data verifies the rationality and applicability of the proposed model.The maximum uplift of the Gongbei tunnel appears at the center of the model,gradually decreasing along with the lateral and longitudinal directions.The curve in the lateral direction presents a normal distribution due to the influence of the constraint of two sides,while the one along the lateral direction shapes like a parabola with the opening downward due to the temperature field distribution.The model provides a reference for frost heaving engineering calculation.Shengjun Deng Haolin Chen Xiaonan Gong Jiajin Zhou Xiangdong Hu Gang Jiang 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,7:0
9ANALYSIS OF DEATH FACTORS FOR ACUTE HEMORRHAGIC NECROTIZING PANCREATITIS显示文摘Objective:To analyse the factors affecting the mortality of acute hemorrhagic necrotizing pancreatitis (AHNP). Methods:One hundred and twelve patients with AHNP were retrospectively divided into two groups——the dead and survivors. Some parameters were analysed statistically.Results:The average age,sex ratio and onset of illness were similar between two groups. The difference of early shock, early ARDS, high body temperature, leukocytosis and high blood glucose between two groups were not significant. The important factors affecting the mortality were: severe pancreatic necrosis; incorrect therapeutic surgery;improper surgical methods.Conclusion: The patients with mild or moderate AHNP should mainly receive conservative treatment for 48~72 hours.
