| 2 | The HuangZaoSi Maize Genome Provides Insights into Genomic Variation and Improvement History of Maize显示文摘Maize is a globally important crop that was a classic model plant for genetic studies. Here, we report a 2.2 Gb draft genome sequence of an elite maize line, HuangZaoSi (HZS). Hybrids bred from HZS-improved lines (HILs) are planted in more than 60% of maize fields in China. Proteome clustering of six completed sequeneed maize genomes show that 638 proteins fall into 264 HZS-specific gene families with the majority of contributions from tandem duplication events. Resequencing and comparative analysis of 40 HZSrelated lines reveals the breeding history of HILs. More than 60% of identified selective sweeps were clustered in identity.by.descent conserved regions, and yield-related genes/QTLs were enriched in HZS characteristic selected regions. Furthermore, we dem on strated that HZS-specific family genes were not uniformly distributed in the genome but enriched in improvement/function.related genomic regions. | 4 | The associated killing of hepatoma cells using multilayer drug-loaded mats combined with fast neutron therapy显示文摘Chemotherapeutic and radiation therapy have emerged as two most important treatment strategies to treat cancer in clinical practice;however,to improve anticancer efficacy,combination chemotherapy still remains challenge.Dichloroacetate(DCA)could produce significant cytotoxic effects in certain tumor cells through its distinct mechanism.Radiation therapy with fast neutrons(FNT)has high relative biolgical effectiveness compared to other radiotherapeutics.Herein,we reported the combination chemotherapy with FNT for effective tumor growth inhibition with the assistance of a multilayered nanofiber loading DCA and DCA derivatives.We first synthesized a biodegradable polylysine to condense DCA with negative charge,or to conjugate DCA by condensing synthesis,to obtain Ion-DCA and Co-DCA,respectively.DCA,Ion-DCA or Co-DCA was then loaded into fibers to form multilayer drug-loaded mats.Upon adhesion on the surface of subcutaneous and orthotopic liver tumors,the multilayer drug-loaded mats realized a controllable release of DCA,which reversed the Warburg effect and inhibited cancer cell proliferation.Meantime,irradiation of fast neutrons could seriously damage DNA structure.Combination of the controllable release of DCA and FNT resulted in synergistic cell apoptosis in vitro,and the tumor inhibition in vivo.This study thus provides a new approach to integrate chemotherapy and FNT with the assistance of biocompatible nanofiber for synergistic tumor therapy. | Yanxin Qi Shiwei Jing Shasha He Hejian Xiong Guohua Yang Yubin Huang Ningyi Jin | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,3: | 2 |

| 7 | Effect of Co element on microstructure and mechanical properties of FeCo_x NiCuAl alloys显示文摘FeCox NiCuAl (x values in molar ratio, x=0.2, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 3) alloys were prepared using a suck-casting method. The effect of Co element on phase constituents, microstructure and mechanical properties of the FeCox NiCuAl alloys was investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy and compressive tests. It was found that the Co addition has a significant influence on the structure and properties of the FeCox NiCuAl alloys. The alloys have typical dendrite microstructure, and are composed of a simple fcc structure and bcc structure. | 10 | Synergistic enhancement of immunological responses triggered by hyperthermia sensitive Pt NPs via NIR laser to inhibit cancer relapse and metastasis显示文摘The combination of tumor ablation and immunotherapy is a promising strategy against tumor relapse and metastasis.Photothermal therapy(PTT)triggers the release of tumor-specific antigens and damage associated molecular patterns(DAMPs)in-situ.However,the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment restrains the activity of the effector immune cells.Therefore,systematic immunomodulation is critical to stimulate the tumor microenvironment and augment the anti-tumor therapeutic effect.To this end,polyethylene glycol(PEG)-stabilized platinum(Pt)nanoparticles(Pt NPs)conjugated with a PD-L1 inhibitor(BMS-1)through a thermo-sensitive linkage were constructed.Upon near-infrared(NIR)exposure,BMS-1 was released and maleimide(Mal)was exposed on the surface of Pt NPs,which captured the antigens released from the ablated tumor cells,resulting in the enhanced antigen internalization and presentation.In addition,the Pt NPs acted as immune adjuvants by stimulating dendritic cells(DCs)maturation.Furthermore,BMS-1 relieved T cell exhaustion and induced the infiltration of effector T cells into the tumor tissues.Thus,Pt NPs can ablate tumors through PTT,and augment the anti-tumor immune response through enhanced antigen presentation and T cells infiltration,thereby preventing tumor relapse and metastasis. | Jie Yu Sha Liu Yupeng Wang Xidong He Qingfei Zhang Yanxin Qi Dongfang Zhou Zhigang Xie Xiaoyuan Li Yubin Huang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,1: | 0 |

| 12 | Impact of surface-reflected seismic waves on the seismic isolation performance of circular tunnel isolation layers显示文摘Seismic isolation is an effective strategy to mitigate the risk of seismic damage in tunnels.However,the impact of surface-reflected seismic waves on the effectiveness of tunnel isolation layers remains under explored.In this study,we employ the wave function expansion method to provide analytical solutions for the dynamic responses of linings in an elastic half-space and an infinite elastic space.By comparing the results of the two models,we investigate the seismic isolation effect of tunnel isolation layers induced by reflected seismic waves.Our findings reveal significant differences in the dynamic responses of the lining in the elastic half-space and the infinitely elastic space.Specifically,the dynamic stress concentration factor(DSCF)of the lining in the elastic half-space exhibits periodic fluctuations,influenced by the incident wave frequency and tunnel depth,while the DSCF in the infinitely elastic space remain stable.Overall,the seismic isolation application of the tunnel isolation layer is found to be less affected by surface-reflected seismic waves.Our results provide valuable insights for the design and assessment of the seismic isolation effect of tunnel isolation layers. | LU Jiahui LUO Junjie HUANG Xiangyun HONG Junliang HE YanXin ZHOU Fulin | 2024 | Journal of Mountain Science2024,21,3: | 0 |
| 13 | Strength and deformation characteristics of irregular columnar jointed rock mass: A combined experimental and theoretical study显示文摘The irregularity of jointed network poses a challenge to the determination of field mechanical param-eters of columnar jointed rock mass(CJRM),and a reasonable prediction of deformation and strength characteristics of CJRM is important for engineering construction.The Voronoi diagram and three-dimensional printing technology were used to make an irregular columnar jointed mold,and the irregular CJRM(ICJRM)specimens with different dip directions and dip angles were prepared.Uniaxial compression tests were performed,and the anisotropic strength and deformation characteristics of ICJRM were described.The failure modes and mechanisms were revealed in accordance with the final appearances of the ICJRM specimens.Based on the model test results,the empirical correlations for determining the field deformation and strength parameters of CJRM were derived using the dip angle and modified joint factor.The proposed empirical equations were used in the Baihetan Project,and the calculated mechanical parameters were compared with the field test results and those obtained from the tunneling quality index method.Results showed that the deformation parameters determined by the two proposed methods are all consistent with the field test results,and these two methods can also estimate the strength parameters effectively. | Xiangcheng Que Zhende Zhu Yanxin He Zihao Niu Haonan Huang | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,2: | 0 |
| 14 | Quaternary Intrusions from the Zhongjiannan Basin,South China Sea:Their Relationship with the Hainan Mantle Plume and Influence on Hydrocarbon Reservoirs显示文摘The transportation of magma in sedimentary basins often occurs through extensive dyke-sill networks.The role of sills on the plumbing system in rifted margins and the impact of sills on hydrocarbon reservoirs of prospective sedimentary basins has long been an area of great industrial interest and scientific debate.Based on 2D seismic reflection,we present data on how the sills emplaced to form a magmatic plumbing system of the volcanic system for the Zhongjiannan Basin(ZJNB).The results show that sixty-nine sills and fourteen forced folds have been identified.The distribution and geometry of the sills suggest that magma flowed from west to east and then ascended to near the surface.The onlap relationship of the forced folds indicates that the timing of magmatic activities can be constrained at ca.0.2 Ma.The spatial and temporal occurrences of intrusions imply that the strong post-rift magmatism in ZJNB was associated with the Hainan mantle plume arising from the core-mantle boundary.Furthermore,these forced folds could produce several types of hydrocarbon traps,due to accommodation through bending and uplift of the overlying rock and free surface,but it is critical to evaluate the effect of such emplacement when setting exploration targets. | HE Yanxin LIU Jianping WANG Lei TIAN Wei | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,1: | 0 |
