1Neural mechanism of gastric motility regulation by electroacupuncture at RN12 and BL21: A paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus-dorsal vagal complex-vagus nervegastric channel pathway显示文摘AIM: To study the neural mechanism by which electroacupuncture(EA) at RN12(Zhongwan) and BL21(Weishu) regulates gastric motility.METHODS: One hundred and forty-four adult Sprague Dawley rats were studied in four separate experiments. Intragastric pressure was measured using custommade rubber balloons, and extracellular neuron firing activity, which is sensitive to gastric distention in the dorsal vagal complex(DVC), was recorded by an electrophysiological technique. The expression levels of c-fos, motilin(MTL) and gastrin(GAS) in the paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus(PVN) were assayed by immunohistochemistry, and the expression levels of motilin receptor(MTL-R) and gastrin receptor(GAS-R) in both the PVN and the gastric antrum were assayed by western blotting.RESULTS: EA at RN12 + BL21(gastric Shu and Mu points), BL21(gastric Back-Shu point), RN12(gastric Front-Mu point), resulted in increased neuron-activating frequency in the DVC(2.08 ± 0.050, 1.17 ± 0.023, 1.55 ± 0.079 vs 0.75 ± 0.046, P < 0.001) compared with a model group. The expression of c-fos(36.24 ± 1.67, 29.41 ± 2.55, 31.79 ± 3.00 vs 5.73 ± 2.18, P < 0.001), MTL(22.48 ± 2.66, 20.76 ± 2.41, 19.17 ± 1.71 vs 11.68 ± 2.52, P < 0.001), GAS(24.99 ± 2.95, 21.69 ± 3.24, 23.03 ± 3.09 vs 12.53 ± 2.15, P < 0.001), MTL-R(1.39 ± 0.05, 1.22 ± 0.05, 1.17 ± 0.12 vs 0.84 ± 0.06, P < 0.001), and GAS-R(1.07 ± 0.07, 0.91 ± 0.06, 0.78 ± 0.05 vs 0.45 ± 0.04, P < 0.001) increased in the PVN after EA compared with the model group. The expression of MTL-R(1.46 ± 0.14, 1.26 ± 0.11, 0.99 ± 0.07 vs 0.65 ± 0.03, P < 0.001), and GAS-R(1.63 ± 0.11, 1.26 ± 0.16, 1.13 ± 0.02 vs 0.80 ± 0.11, P < 0.001) increased in the gastric antrum after EA compared with the model group. Damaging the PVN resulted in reduced intragastric pressure(13.67 ± 3.72 vs 4.27 ± 1.48, P < 0.001). These data demonstrate that the signals induced by EA stimulation of acupoints RN12 and BL21 are detectable in the DVC and the PVN, and increase the levels of gastrointestinal hormones and their receptors in the PVN and gastric antrum to regulate gastric motility. 4Geological Factors Controlling the Accumulation and High Yield of Marine-Facies Shale Gas: Case Study of the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in the Dingshan Area of Southeast Sichuan, China显示文摘The main geological factors controlling the accumulation and yield of marine-facies shale gas reservoirs are the focus of the current shale gas exploration and development research.In this study,the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in the Dingshan area of southeast Sichuan was investigated.Shale cores underwent laboratory testing,which included the evaluation of total organic carbon(TOC),vitrinite reflectance(Ro),whole-rock X-ray diffraction(XRD),pore permeability,and imaging through field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM).Based on the results of natural gamma ray spectrum logging,conventional logging,imaging logging,and seismic coherence properties,the exploration and development potential of shale gas in the Dingshan area have been discussed comprehensively.The results showed that(1)layer No.4(WF2-LM4)of the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation has a Th/U ratio<2 and a Th/K ratio of 3.5–12.Graptolites and pyrite are relatively abundant in the shale core,indicating sub-high-energy and low-energy marine-facies anoxic reducing environments.(2)The organic matter is mainly I-type kerogen with a small amount of II1-type kerogen.There is a good correlation among TOC,Ro,gas content,and brittle minerals;the fracturing property(brittleness)is 57.3%.Organic and inorganic pores are moderately developed.A higher pressure coefficient is correlated with the increase in porosity and the decrease in permeability.(3)The DY1 well of the shale gas reservoir was affected by natural defects and important latestage double destructive effects,and it is poorly preserved.The DY2 well is located far from the Qiyueshan Fault.Large faults are absent,and upward fractures in the Longmaxi Formation are poorly developed.The well is affected by low tectonic deformation intensity,and it is well preserved.(4)The Dingshan area is located at the junction of the two sedimentary centers of Jiaoshiba and Changning.The thickness of the high-quality shale interval(WF2-LM4)is relatively small,which may be an important reason for the unstable production of shale gas thus far.Based on the systematic analysis of the geological factors controlling high-yield shale gas enrichment in the Dingshan area,and the comparative analysis with the surrounding typical exploration areas,the geological understanding of marine shale gas enrichment in southern China has been improved.Therefore,this study can provide a useful reference for shale gas exploration and further development.FAN Cunhui ZHONG Cheng ZHANG Yu QIN Qirong HE Shun 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3:7

6Peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 monotherapy for Chinese advanced non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Limited benefit population of immune checkpoint inhibitors makes it urgent to screen predictive biomarkers for stratifying the patients.Herein,we have investigated peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients receiving anti-PD-1/PD-L1 treatments.It was found that the percentages of IFN-γand IL-17A secreting naïve CD4^(+) T cells(Tn),and memory CD4^(+) T cells(Tm)expressing PD-1,PD-L1 and CTLA-4 were significantly higher in responder(R)than non-responder(NonR)NSCLC patients associated with a longer progression free survival(PFS).Logistic regression analysis revealed that the baseline IFN-γ-producing CD4^(+) Tn cells and PD-1^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells were the most significant signatures with the area under curve(AUC)value reaching 0.849.This was further validated in another anti-PD-1 monotherapy cohort.Conversely,high percentage of CTLA-4^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells was associated with a shorter PFS in patients receiving anti-PD-L1 monotherapy.Our study therefore elucidates the significance of functional CD4^(+) Tn and Tm subpopulations before the treatment in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1 treatment in Chinese NSCLC patients.The fact that there display distinct CD4^(+) T cell signatures in the prediction to anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 monotherapy from our study provides preliminary evidence on the feasibility of anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 combination therapy for advanced NSCLC patients.Liliang Xia Hui Wang Mingjiao Sun Yi Yang Chengcheng Yao Sheng He Huangqi Duan Weimin Xia Ruiming Sun Yaxian Yao Zhiwei Chen Qiong Zhao Hong Li Shun Lu Ying Wang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:7
7Development Phases and Mechanisms of Tectonic Fractures in the Longmaxi Formation Shale of the Dingshan Area in Southeast Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘Shale gas has currently attracted much attention during oil and gas exploration and development. Fractures in shale have an important influence on the enrichment and preservation of shale gas. This work studied the developmental period and formation mechanism of tectonic fractures in the Longmaxi Formation shale in the Dingshan area of southeastern Sichuan Basin based on extensive observations of outcrops and cores, rock acoustic emission(Kaiser) experiments, homogenization temperature of fracture fill inclusions, apatite fission track, thermal burial history. The research shows that the fracture types of the Longmaxi Formation include tectonic fractures, diagenetic fractures and horizontal slip fractures. The main types are tectonic high-angle shear and horizontal slip fractures, with small openings, large spacing, low densities, and high degrees of filling. Six dominant directions of the fractures after correction by plane included NWW, nearly SN, NNW, NEE, nearly EW and NW. The analysis of field fracture stage and fracture system of the borehole suggests that the fractures in the Longmaxi Formation could be paired with two sets of plane X-shaped conjugate shear fractures, i.e., profile X-shaped conjugate shear fractures and extension fractures. The combination of qualitative geological analysis and quantitative experimental testing techniques indicates that the tectonic fractures in the Longmaxi Formation have undergone three periods of tectonic movement, namely mid-late Yanshanian movement(82–71.1 Ma), late Yanshanian and middle Himalaya movements(71.1–22.3 Ma), and the late Himalayan movement(22.3–0 Ma). The middle-late period of the Yanshanian movement and end of the Yanshanian movement-middle period of the Himalayan movement were the main fractureforming periods. The fractures were mostly filled with minerals, such as calcite and siliceous. The homogenization temperature of fracture fill inclusions was high, and the paleo-stress value was large; the tectonic movement from the late to present period was mainly a slight transformation and superposition of existing fractures and tectonic systems. Based on the principle of tectonic analysis and theory of geomechanics, we clarified the mechanism of the fractures in the Longmaxi Formation, and established the genetic model of the Longmaxi Formation. The research on the qualitative and quantitative techniques of the fracture-phase study could be effectively used to analyze the causes of the marine shale gas fractures in the Sichuan Basin. 13SnO_(2) quantum dots modified N-doped carbon as high-performance anode for lithium ion batteries by enhanced pseudocapacitance显示文摘SnO_(2) is considered to be a promising candidate as anode material for lithium ion batteries,due to its high theoretical specific capacity(1494 mAh·g^(-1)).Nevertheless,SnO_(2)-based anodes suffer from poor electronic conductivity and serious volume variation(300%)during lithiation/delithiation process,leading to fast capacity fading.To solve these problems,SnO_(2) quantum dots modified N-doped carbon spheres(SnO_(2) QDs@N-C)are fabricated by facile hydrolysis process of SnCl2,accompanied with the polymerization of polypyrrole(PPy),followed by a calcination method.When used as anodes for lithium ion batteries,SnO_(2) QDs@N-C exhibits high discharge capacity,superior rate properties as well as good cyclability.The carbon matrix completely encapsulates the SnO_(2) quantum dots,preventing the aggregation and volume change during cycling.Furthermore,the high N content produces abundant defects in carbon matrix.It is worth noting that SnO_(2) QDs@N-C shows excellent capacitive contribution properties,which may be due to the ultra-small size of SnO_(2) and high conductivity of the carbon matrix.Cui-Ping Wu Kai-Xuan Xie Jia-Peng He Qing-Peng Wang Jian-Min Ma Shun Yang Qing-Hong Wang 2021Rare Metals2021,40,1:4
14Wolbachia enhances expression of NICYP4CE1 in Nilaparvata lugens in response to imidacloprid stress显示文摘The brown planthopper,Nilaparvata lugens,is one of the main insect pests of rice.The N.lugens gene NICYP4CE1 encodes cytochrome P450 monooxygenase(P450),which is a key enzyme in the metabolism of the insecticide imidacloprid.Previous research has suggested that the expression of NICYP4CEI is induced by imidacloprid stress,but the effect of bacterial symbionts on its expression has not been determined.The results of this study show that exposure to subtoxic imidacloprid changed the structure of the bacterial symbiont community in N.lugens.Specifically,the total bacterial content increased but the bacterial species diversity significantly decreased.Wolbachia accounted for the largest proportion of bacteria in N.lugens;its abundance significantly increased after subtoxic imidacloprid exposure.The transcript level of NICYP4CEI was significantly increased by imidacloprid,but this effect was significantly weakened after Wolbachia was cleared with tetracycline.This result suggests that Wolbachia enhances the expression of N1CYP4CE1 to promote the detoxification metabolic response to imidacloprid stress.Understanding the effect of bacterial symbionts on gene expression in the host provides a new perspective on interactions between insecticides and their target insect pests,and highlights that subtoxic imidacloprid exposure may raise the risk of insecticide resistance by altering the structure of bacterial symbiont communities.Tingwei Cai Yunhua Zhang Yu Liu Xiaoqian Deng Shun He Jianhong Li Hu Wan 2021Insect Science2021,28,2:4
15DOA estimation of wideband signals based on iterative spectral reconstruction显示文摘In order to solve the problem of coherent signal subspace method(CSSM) depending on the estimated accuracy of signal subspace, a new direction of arrival(DOA) estimation method of wideband source, which is based on iterative adaptive spectral reconstruction, is proposed. Firstly, the wideband signals are divided into several narrowband signals of different frequency bins by discrete Fourier transformation(DFT). Then, the signal matched power spectrum in referenced frequency bins is computed, which can form the initial covariance matrix. Finally, the linear restrained minimum variance spectral(Capon spectral) of signals in other frequency bins are reconstructed using sequential iterative means, so the DOA can be estimated by the locations of spectral peaks. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show the proposed method based on the iterative spectral reconstruction for the covariance matrices of all sub-bands can avoid the problem of determining the signal subspace accurately with the coherent signal subspace method under the conditions of small samples and low signal to noise ratio(SNR), and it can also realize full dimensional focusing of different sub-band data, which can be applied to coherent sources and can significantly improve the accuracy of DOA estimation.Shun He Zhiwei Yang Guisheng Liao 2017Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2017,28,6:3
16Biocompatible in situ-forming glycopolypeptide hydrogels显示文摘A lack of biological activity hinders the application of synthetic hydrogels in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.However,the use of glycopolypeptides in hydrogel synthesis may provide the materials with the desired biological activities.Herein,we prepared three in situ-forming hydrogels from various phenol-functionalized glycopolypeptides.The gelation time,mechanical properties,degradation properties,and biocompatibility of the hydrogels were assessed.Gelation time ranged from 11 to 380s,depending on the concentration of horseradish peroxidase.The galactose-modified polypeptide hydrogel showed the highest storage modulus with an obvious stress relaxation phenomenon.The prepared hydrogels exhibited good degradation properties and compatibility to cells and tissues.Furthermore,the rate of immune cell accumulation around the mannosemodified polypeptide hydrogel was the fastest among the hydrogels.SHI Shun YU ShuangJiang LI Gao HE ChaoLiang CHEN XueSi 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,6:3

20Natural consolidation characteristics of viscous debris flow deposition显示文摘Pore water pressure and water content are important indicators to both deposition and consolidation of debris flows, enabling a direct assessment of consolidation degree. This article gained a more comprehensive understanding about the entire consolidation process and focused on exploring pore water pressure and volumetric water content variations of the deposit body during natural consolidation under different conditions taking the viscous debris flow mass as a study subject and by flume experiments. The results indicate that, as the color of the debris changed from initial dark green to grayish-white color, the initial deposit thickness declined by 3% and 2.8% over a permeable and impermeable sand bed, respectively. A positive correlation was observed between pore water pressure and depth in the deposit for both scenarios, with deeper depths being related to greater pore water pressure. For the permeable environment, the average dissipation rate of pore water pressure measured at depths of 0.10 m and 0.05 m were 0.0172 Pa/d and 0.0144 Pa/d, respectively, showing a positivechanging trend with increasing depth. Under impermeable conditions, the average dissipation rates at different depths were similar, while the volumetric water content in the deposit had a positive correlation with depth. The reduction of water content in the deposit accelerated with depth under impermeable sand bed boundary conditions, but was not considerably correlated with depth under permeable sand bed boundary conditions. However, the amount of discharged water from the deposit was greater and consolidation occurred faster in permeable conditions. This indicates that the permeability of the boundary sand bed has a significant impact on the progress of consolidation. This research demonstrates that pore water and pressure dissipations are present during the entire viscous debris consolidation process. Contrasting with dilute flows, pore pressure dissipation in viscous flows cannot be completed in a matter of minutes or even hours, requiring longer completion time — 3 to 5 days and even more. Additionally, the dissipation of the pore water pressure lagged the reduction of the water content.
