| 1 | Genomic insights into the fast growth of paulownias and the formation of Paulownia witches' broom显示文摘Paulownias are among the fastest growing trees in the world,but they often suffer tremendous loss of wood production due to infection by Paulownia witches'broom(PaWB)phytoplasmas.In this study,we have sequenced and assembled a high-quality nuclear genome of Paulownia fortunei,a commonly cultivated paulownia species.The assembled genome of P.fortunei is 511.6 Mb in size,with 93.2%of its sequences anchored to 20 pseudo-chromosomes,and it contains 31985 protein-coding genes.Phylogenomic analyses show that the family Paulowniaceae is sister to a clade composed of Phrymaceae and Orobanchaceae.Higher photosynthetic efficiency is achieved by integrating C3 photosynthesis and the crassulacean acid metabolism pathway,which may contribute to the extremely fast growth habit of paulownia trees.Comparative transcriptome analyses reveal modules related to cambial growth and development,photosynthesis,and defense responses.Additional genome sequencing of PaWB phytoplasma,combined with functional analyses,indicates that the effector PaWB-SAP54 interacts directly with Paulownia PfSPLa,which in turn causes the degradation of PfSPLa by the ubiquitin-mediated pathway and leads to the formation of witches'broom.Taken together,these results provide significant insights into the biology of paulownias and the regulatory mechanism for the formation of PaWB. | Yabing Cao Guiling Sun Xiaoqiao Zhai Pingluo Xu Liming Ma Minjie Deng Zhenli Zhao Haibo Yang Yanpeng Dong Zhonghai Shang Yujie Lv Lijun Yan Haifang Liu Xibing Cao Bingbing Li Zhe Wang Xiaogai Zhao Haiyan Yu Fan Wang Wen Ma Jinling Huang Guoqiang Fan | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,10: | 7 |

| 3 | Quantifying the Preferential Flow by Dye Tracer in the North China Plain显示文摘The preferential flow plays a vital role on the infiltration of irrigation or rainfall. The objective of this study was to quantify preferential flow in the processing of irrigation infiltration in the field scale. Tests of different initial soil water contents and irrigation intensities were conducted using Brilliant Blue FCF(C.I.42090) dye tracer in Luancheng County of the North China Plain. The results showed that the percentages of infiltration by the preferential flow for irrigation depth of 25, 50, and 75 mm were 16.67%, 43.67%, and 34.17%, with 19.72%, 61.42%, 66.64% of dyed areas in the soil profile, respectively, which indicated that preferential flow was enhanced with increasing irrigation intensity, but reduced when the irrigation intensity was over 50 mm. The percentages of preferential flow for 75 and 180 mm previous irrigation producing different initial soil water contents were 23.26% and 18.97%, with 53.23% and 39.94% of dyed areas in the soil profile, respectively. Compared with the 75 mm without previous irrigation, the results indicated that higher initial soil water contents restrained the preferential flow in the field. | 5 | Cycling of phosphorus in the Jiaozhou Bay显示文摘Dissolved inorganic phosphorus (DIP ),dissolved organic phosphorus (DOP ),particulate inorganic phosphorus (P IP ) and particulate organic phosphorus (P OP ) in the Jiaozhou Bay (JZB) and its adjacent major rivers were analyzed during 2001–2003.DIP was the major form of dissolved phosphorus in JZB,representing 62%–83% of the total dissolved phosphorus (T DP ),and the P IP concentration generally exceeded the P OP concentration.The concentrations of phosphorus were higher in the north than in the south of the bay,which were related to the fluvial input and water exchange rate.The dissolved phosphorus concentrations were higher in the autumn and spring than in the summer,while the seasonal variation of particulate phosphorus showed opposite pattern.The distribution of phosphorus is mainly affected by the growth of phytoplankton,desorption/adsorption of DIP from and to particulates,and anthropogenic activities.A preliminary phosphorus budget was established.In JZB,riverine input and water exchange flow between JZB and the Huanghai (Yellow) Sea are the major sources of phosphorus,followed by industrial and domestic waste transport,and then atmospheric deposition.Phosphorus burial efficiency is estimated to be 91%.About 52.2 × 10 6 mol/a of phosphorus were assimilated by phytoplankton,of which about 68% was recycled in the water column and sediment. | Q1 Xiaohong LIU Sumei ZHANG Jing REN Jingling ZHANG Guiling | 2011 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,2: | 4 |

| 8 | Exercise promotes angiogenesis by enhancing endothelial cell fatty acid utilization via liver-derived extracellular vesicle miR-122-5p显示文摘Background:Angiogenesis constitutes a major mechanism responsible for exercise-induced beneficial effects.Our previous study identified a cluster of differentially expressed extracellular vesicle microRNAs(miRNAs)after exercise and found that some of them act as exerkines.However,whether these extracellular vesicle miRNAs mediate the exercise-induced angiogenesis remains unknown.Methods:A 9-day treadmill training was used as an exercise model in C57BL/6 mice.Liver-specific adeno-associated virus 8 was used to knock down microRNA-122-5p(miR-122-5p).Human umbilical vein endothelial cells were used in vitro.Results:Among these differentially expressed extracellular vesicle miRNAs,miR-122-5p was identified as a potent pro-angiogenic factor that activated vascular endothelial growth factor signaling and promoted angiogenesis both in vivo and in vitro.Exercise increased circulating levels of miR-122-5p,which was produced mainly by the liver and shuttled by extracellular vesicles in mice.Inhibition of circulating miR-122-5p or liver-specific knockdown of miR-122-5p significantly abolished the exercise-induced pro-angiogenic effect in skeletal muscles,and exerciseimproved muscle performance in mice.Mechanistically,miR-122-5p promoted angiogenesis through shifting substrate preference to fatty acids in endothelial cells,and miR-122-5p upregulated endothelial cell fatty-acid utilization by targeting 1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase(AGPAT1).In addition,miR-122-5p increased capillary density in perilesional skin tissues and accelerated wound healing in mice.Conclusion:These findings demonstrated that exercise promotes angiogenesis through upregulation of liver-derived extracellular vesicle miR-122-5p,which enhances fatty acid utilization by targeting AGPAT1 in endothelial cells,highlighting the therapeutic potential of miR-122-5p in tissue repair. | Jing Lou Jie Wu Mengya Feng Xue Dang Guiling Wu Hongyan Yang Yan Wang Jia Li Yong Zhao Changhong Shi Jiankang Liu Lin Zhao Xing Zhang Feng Gao | 2022 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,4: | 4 |
| 9 | Quality Control and Evaluation of the Observed Daily Data in the North American Soil Moisture Database显示文摘The North American Soil Moisture Database (NASMD) was initiated in 2011 to assemble and homogenize in situ soil moisture measurements from 32 observational networks in the United States and Canada encompassing more than 1800 stations. Although statistical quality control (QC) procedures have been applied in the NASMD, the soil moisture content tends to be systematically underestimated by in situ sensors in frozen soils, and using a single maximum threshold (i.e., 0.6 m3 m-3) may not be sufficient for robust QC because of the diverse soil textures in North America. In this study, based on the in situ soil porosity and North American Land Data Assimilation System phase 2 (NLDAS-2) Noah soil temperature, the simple automated QC method is revised to supplement the existing QC approach. This revised QC method is first validated based on the assessment at 78 of the Soil Climate Analysis Network (SCAN) stations where the manually checked data are available, and is then applied to all stations in the NASMD to produce a more strict quality-controlled dataset. The results show that the revised automated QC procedure can flag the spurious and erroneous soil moisture measurements for the SCAN stations, especially for those located in high altitudes and latitudes. Relative to station measurements in the original NASMD, the quality-controlled data show a slightly better agreement with the manually checked soil moisture content. It should be noted that this quality-controlled dataset may be over-flagged for some valid soil moisture measurements due to potential errors of the soil temperature and soil porosity data, and validation in this study is limited by the availability of benchmark soil moisture data. | 10 | Multivalent Sn species synergistically favours the CO_(2)-into-HCOOH conversion显示文摘Although Sn-based catalysts have recently achieved considerable improvement in selective electro-catalyzing CO_(2)into HCOOH,the role of various valence Sn species is not fully understood due to the complexity and uncertainty of their evolution during the reaction process.Here,inspired by the theoretical simulations that the concomitant multivalent Sn(Sn^(0),Sn^(Ⅱ)and Sn^(Ⅳ))can significantly motivate the intrinsic activity of Sn-based catalyst,the Sn/SnO/SnO_(2)nanosheets were proposed to experimentally verify the synergistic effect of multivalent Sn species on the CO_(2)-into-HCOOH conversion.During CO_(2)reduction reaction,the Sn/SnO/SnO_(2)nanosheets,which are prepared by the sequential hydrothermal reaction,calcined crystallization and low-temperature H_(2)treatment,exhibit a high FEHCOOH of 89.6%at-0.9 VRHE as well as a large cathodic current density.Systematic experimental and theoretical results corroborate that multivalent Sn species synergistically energize the CO_(2)activation,the HCOO*adsorption,and the electron transfer,which make Sn/SnO/SnO_(2)favour the conversion from CO_(2)into HCOOH in both thermodynamics and kinetics.This proof-of-concept study establishes a relationship between the enhanced performance and the multivalent Sn species,and also provides a practicable and scalable avenue for rational engineering high-powered electrocatalysts. | Jun Wu Xue Bai Zhiyu Ren Shichao Du Ziehen Song Lei Zhao Bowen Liu Guiling Wang Honggang Fu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,4: | 4 |
| 11 | Removal Behaviors of Different SiC Ceramics during Polishing显示文摘Comparative experiments were conducted to reveal the removal behaviors of three kinds of silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics during polishing and the effects of ceramic microstructure on the surface quality were also reported. Experimental results show that the second phase in SiC ceramics plays an important role in the surface quality when its size is large enough. The surface quality is enslaved to the formation of steps at interfaces between second phase and SiC matrix that results from different elastic modulus and hardness between two phases. Under 3 μm abrasive grains polishing condition, different SiC ceramics show different removal mechanisms.
