| 2 | Development and experimental validation of a novel hybrid powertrain with dual planetary gear sets for transit bus applications显示文摘Given that energy conservation and environmental protection are two important goals for the automotive industry, the application of a hybrid electric powertrain can improve vehicle energy efficiency while decreasing fuel consumption and engine emissions. Planetary gear-based power-split hybrid powertrains have become widely used in passenger vehicles, but remain rarely employed on transit buses. This study proposes a novel hybrid powertrain based on two planetary gear sets(CHS) and presents its operating principles along with development of a control strategy for the powertrain. The CHS hybrid powertrain operates in electric mode when the driving power demand is low, and changes to a hybrid electric mode according to the power-split principle of the planetary gear set. To validate the feasibility of the designed CHS hybrid powertrain, a prototype transit bus equipped with the designed hybrid powertrain system was built, and the operating characteristics of the system were analyzed through a performance test conducted on a chassis dynamometer. Compared with a conventional powertrain, the CHS hybrid powertrain can reduce fuel consumption by 39%. | 4 | Characteristics of Late Quaternary Activity of the Luhuatai Buried Fault Revealed by Drilling显示文摘The Luhuatai fault is one of the important buried tectonics in the Yinchuan basin. Based on the results of shallow seismic exploration, we conducted composite drilling section exploration and dating of the samples from boreholes. Some useful data was obtained, such as the depth of the upper breaking point, the latest activity age, displacement in the late Quaternary, and slip rates, etc. This study shows that the activity is different between the north and south segment along the Luhuatai fault. The north segment is a Holocene fault, while the south segment is a late mid-Pleistocene fault. | 6 | Self-assembly of lipids and nanoparticles in aqueous solution:Self-consistent field simulations显示文摘Self-assembled nanostructures of lipids and nanoparticles hold great promise for applications in such fields as nanomedicine.This paper uses the self-consistent field theory to investigate the self-assembly behavior of lipid molecules and nanoparticles with different shapes in an aqueous solution.It is found that the lipid molecules can form monolayered and bilayered nanostructures around the nanoparticles with different shapes(e.g.,triangular,square,hexagonal and octangular). | 10 | Internal oxidation of hot-rolled ultra-high strength steel and its effect on the surface quality of cold-rolled sheets显示文摘In this study,the scale and internal oxidation of hot-rolled ultra-high strength steel sheets were characterized.It was found that both the formation of the scale and the internal oxidation of Si and Mn depended on the coiling temperature and position of the steel sample on the strip coil.At a relatively high coiling temperature,a large amount of internal oxidation was observed on the samples cut from the middle of the coil.The depth of the internal oxidation zone exceeded 10 μm and a thin iron layer covering the scale was observed in some cases.Pickling and cold-rolling experiments were conducted on selected samples.Scale pickling was found to be greatly delayed by the formation of an iron layer,which frequently resulted in under-pickled defects.In addition,pickling of the entire internal oxidation zone was difficult,except at the grain boundaries,where the degree of internal Si and Mn oxidation was enriched.The surface of the cold-rolled steel sheet was ruined by the remaining oxidation zone in the subsurface of the pickled steel.The internal oxidation of hot-rolled ultra-high strength steel must be precisely controlled to improve the subsequent surface quality of cold-rolled steel. | TANG Wenjie JIN Xinyan HU Guangkui CHEN Guang | 2021 | Baosteel Technical Research2021,15,1: | 1 |

| 14 | Effect of Yishen Qiqiao Fang on dopamine content in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of patients in persistent vegetative statec显示文摘BACKGROUND: It has been demonstrated that the attack of persistent vegetative state is associated with the damaged neuron, which produces dopamine, and nervous pathway, the reduce of dopamine or malfunction of dopamine. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of self-made traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Yishen Qiqiao Fang, which has the functions of supplementing qi and nourishing blood, resolving phlegm by promoting blood circulation, restoring consciousness and inducing resuscitation, on the contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of patients in persistent vegetative state. DESIGN: An open randomized controlled clinical trial. SETTINGS: Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanjing Zijin Hospital. PARTICIPANTS: Thirty-eight inpatients of persistent vegetative state were selected from the Department of Neurology, Nanjing Zijin Hospital from August 2005 to November 2006. The patients were diagnosed according to the diagnostic standards set by the summary of a meeting for specialists in Nanjing. Informed contents were obtained from their relatives. According to the order of admission, the enrolled patients were divided into control group (n =20) and TCM treated group (n =20). METHODS: In the control group, the patients were treated with routine treatments for the symptoms. In the TCM treated group, the patients were treated with Yishen Qiqiao Fang besides the same treatments in the control group. TCM dispensing granules: each bag of mongolian milkvetch root, Chinese angelica and peach seed equaled to 10 g crude drug respectively; each bag of grassleaf sweetflag rhizome and dahurian angelica root equaled to 6 g crude drug respectively; Musk 0.05 g. The daily dosage for adults: 4 bags of mongolian milkvetch root, 2 bags of Chinese angelica, 0.05 g musk, 1 bag of peach seed, 2 bags of grassleaf sweetflag rhizome and 2 bags of dahurian angelica root, which should be given though nasal feeding or gastrostogavage before breakfast and supper every day, the course lasted for 2 months. The contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid were determined with enzyme immunoassay analyzer before and after treatment in both groups. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid before and after treatment in both groups. RESULTS: Totally 38 patients of persistent vegetative state were enrolled, 33 of them were involved in the final analysis of results, and the other 5 missed. The contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid had no obvious differences between the two groups both before and after treatment (P > 0.05). In the control group, the contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid had no obvious differences before and after treatment (P > 0.05). In the TCM treated group, the contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid after treatment were obviously higher than those before treatment (t =2.174, 2.485, P < 0.05). | 15 | Flexoelectric-effect-based light waveguide liquid crystal display for transparent display显示文摘We report a light waveguide liquid crystal display(LCD) based on the flexoelectric effect. The display consists of two parallel flat substrates with a layer of flexoelectric liquid crystal sandwiched between them. A light-emitting diode(LED) is installed on the edge of the display and the produced light is coupled into the display. When no voltage is applied, the liquid crystal is uniformly aligned and is transparent. The incident light propagates through the display by total internal reflection at the interface between the substrate and air, and no light comes out of the viewing side of the display. The display appears transparent. When a voltage is applied, the liquid crystal is switched to a micrometer-sized polydomain state due to flexoelectric interaction and becomes scattering. The incident light is deflected from the waveguide mode and comes out of the viewing side of the display. We achieved thin-film-transistor active matrix compatible driving voltage by doping liquid crystal dimers with large flexoelectric coefficients. The light waveguide LCD does not use polarizers as in conventional LCDs. It has an ultrahigh transmittance near 90% in the voltage-off state. | 17 | 3D collagen matrices modulate the transcriptional trajectory of bone marrow hematopoietic progenitors into macrophage lineage commitment显示文摘Physical signals provided by the extracellular matrix(ECM)are key microenvironmental parameters for the fate decision of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells(HSPC)in bone marrow.Insights into cell-ECM interactions are critical for advancing HSC-based tissue engineering.Herein,we employed collagen hydrogels and collagen-alginate hydrogels of defined stiffness to study the behaviors of hematopoietic progenitor cells(HPCs).Three-dimensional(3D)collagen hydrogels with a stiffness of 45 Pa were found to promote HPC maintenance and colony formation of monocyte/macrophage progenitors.Using single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq),we also characterized the comprehensive transcriptional profiles of cells randomly selected from two-dimensional(2D)and 3D hydrogels.A distinct maturation trajectory from HPCs into macrophages within the 3D microenvironment was revealed by these results.3D-derived macrophages expressed high levels of various cytokines and chemokines,such as Saa3,Cxcl2,Socs3 and Tnf.Furthermore,enhanced communication between 3D-macrophages and other hematopoietic clusters based on ligand-repair interactions was demonstrated through bioinformatic analyses.Our research underlines the regulatory role of matrix-dimensionality in HPC differentiation and therefore probably be applied to the generation of specialized macrophages. | Pan Zhang Linmu Xu Jingsong Gao Guangkui Xu Yanping Song Guang Li Jingjing Ren Yunjie Zhang Cheng Yang Yu Zhang Ruiheng Xie Nu Zhang Hui Yang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 0 |
