1Effects of Guideline-based Hypertension Management in Rural Areas of Guangdong Province显示文摘Background: Despite the improvement in the health care industry, the rates of undetected, untreated, and uncontrolled hypertension (HTN) are still very high, especially in rural areas of China. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and efficiency of a guideline-based HTN management (novel therapy) in population of rural areas of Guangdong Province. Methods: Totally, 3113 patients with essential HTN in a rural area of Guangdong Province were enrolled and assigned to two groups, named traditional (n = 372) and novel therapeutic (n = 2741 ) groups, respectively. Patients in the traditional group were treated routinely, and patients in the novel group were treated in a novel model characterized by regular educational programs for hypertensive populations, close monitoring of blood pressure in combination with finely tuned antihypertensive medications, strict implementation of lifestyle modification and improving medical knowledge and skill of local medical staff efficiently. After 2 years of follow-up, primary endpoints including magnitude of systolic and diastolic blood pressures (SBP and DBP) decrease, treated and controlled rates, as well as secondary endpoints, were evaluated in both groups. Results: Initially, the treated rate was significantly higher in traditional group than that of novel group (71.15% vs. 64.99%, P 〈 0.05), while the controlled rates were comparable and insignificant difference between baseline BP in both groups (31.07% vs. 26.88%, P 〉 0.05). Four variables were significantly different, namely smoking rate, daily vegetable consumption (VC), and serum levels of low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and fasting blood glucose between these two groups. After 2 years of follow-up, decreases in SBP and DBP were more prominent in the novel group (P 〈 0.001). Treated and controlled rates in both groups were both increased. Nevertheless, in comparison to the traditional group, controlled rate increased more significantly in the novel group (64.31% vs. 37.85%, P 〈 0.001). Variables indicating lifestyle modification such as high sodium consumption, percentages of alcohol abuse, daily VC were profoundly improved in the novel group. 2A New Amperometric Detector Cell for Capillary Zone Electrophoresis显示文摘A simple and convenient electrochenical detection cell for capillary electrophoresis is described in this paper. In this cell, alignment of the capillary working electrode with the separation capillary outlet can be achieved precisely and easily without the aid of the ndcropositioner or ndcroscope. With end-column detection, the applicability of the cell as an amperometric detector for capillary electrophoresis is demonstrated by running several phenolic compounds in 50 μm i.d. capillary with a capillary Pt electrode as the working electrode. 8Small-angle X-ray scattering study on the orientation of suspended sodium titanate nanofiber induced by applied electric field显示文摘Introduction Nanofiber orientation in suspensions determines the performance of nanoparticle suspensions which have potential applications in intelligent control.Material and method Na2Ti3O7 nanofibers were prepared with a hydrothermal method.The orientation degree of Na2Ti3O7 nanofibers in silicone oil has been studied by in situ small-angle X-ray scattering technique.Thünemann–Ruland method was used to extract the distribution widths of Na2Ti3O7 nanofibers in the suspensions.Conclution An empirical formula has been proposed to describe the dependence of nanofiber orientation degree on the external electric-field strength(E)and the nanofiber concentration(C).The results demonstrate that the response of nanofiber orientation to the electric field can be divided into exponential and linear stages before and after the inflection point of electric-field strength(Ec0.09 kV/mm).Low concentration of suspension is more sensitive to the external electric field.The increase in nanofiber concentration will decrease the response sensitivity of nanofiber orientation degree to the change of E.The critical concentration of Na2Ti3O7 nanofibers in the suspension is about 5 wt%.This study is expected to give new clue for the structurally responsive mechanism of anisotropic nanoparticles in suspensions to electric-field strength and particle concentration.Jiayi Wang Xiaoyi Zhao Yunpeng Liu Lixiong Qian Lei Yao Xueqing Xing Guang Mo Quan Cai Zhongjun Chen Zhonghua Wu 2019Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2019,3,3:1
9Correction of distorted X-ray absorption spectra collected with capillary sample cell显示文摘In certain exceptional cases,capillary samples must be used to measure X-ray absorption spectra(XAS).However,the inho-mogeneous thickness of capillary samples causes XAS distortion.This study discusses the distortion and correction of the XAS curve caused by the inhomogeneous thickness of capillary samples.The relationship between the distorted XAS curveμ′d_(eq)(measured values)and the real absorption coefficientμ_(s)d_(eq)(true values)of the sample was established.The distortion was slight and negligible when the vertical size(2h)of the X-ray beam spot was smaller than 60%of the capillary tube’s inner diameter(2R_(in)).When h/R_(in)>1,X-ray leakage is inevitable and should be avoided during measurement.Partial X-ray leakage caused by an X-ray beam spot size larger than the inner diameter of the capillary tube leads to serious compressed distortion of the XAS curve.When h/R_(in)<1,the distorted XAS data were well corrected.Possible errors and their influence on the corrected XAS are also discussed.Simulations and corrections for distortions verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the corrected method.Hao Wang Yue-Cheng Lai Jia-Jun Zhong Yun-Peng Liu Lei Yao Li-Xiong Qian Xue-Qing Xing Zhong-Jun Chen Guang Mo Zhong-Hua Wu 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,7:0
10A novel SAXS/XRD/XAFS combined technique for in-situ timeresolved simultaneous measurements显示文摘Synchrotron radiation based combined technique can provide multiple structural information simultaneously,which is an important development direction of structural detection.In this study,a novel small-angle X-ray scattering/X-ray diffraction/X-ray absorption fine structure(SAXS/XRD/XAFS)combined setup was constructed,where an area detector,a curved detector,and a point detector are,respectively,used for the measurements of SAXS,XRD,and XAFS signals.A detailed description about the combined setup was given.A minitype diamond detector coupled to a SAXS beamstop was used to record the transmitted X-ray intensity,making the scattering(SAXS and XRD)signal measurement compatible with the absorption(XAFS)signal measurement,avoiding mechanical switching.The two-way sampling strategy was used to acquire XAFS signals,shortening the non-counting time.The two-way and one-way sampling strategies were discussed.High-frequency sampling scheme was used to collect experimental signals,improving the measurement efficiency and signal-to-noise ratio.A detailed description and discussion about the high-frequency scheme were also given in this paper.Except the rotation of monochromator,there is no mechanical movement in measurements,time resolution may reach the level of seconds.Using this SAXS/XRD/XAFS combined setup,SAXS,XRD,and XAFS signals can be acquired simultaneously.With some in-situ sample environment system,the newlydeveloped combined technique can be used to track the structure evolution in complex fluids.During the formation processes of(BiO)2CO3 and ZnAPO-34 particles,the changes of in-situ experimental data with reaction time demonstrate that SAXS/XRD/XAFS combined technique is feasible to track the dynamic process.Zhonghua Wu Yunpeng Liu Xueqing Xing Lei Yao Zhongjun Chen Guang Mo Lirong Zheng Quan Cai Hao Wang Jiajun Zhong Yuecheng Lai Lixiong Qian 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0

12Lysine acetylation decreases enzyme activity and protein level of Escherichia coli lactate dehydrogenase显示文摘Lactate is an important bulk chemical with widespread applications and a major byproduct of other chemicals bioprocess in microbial fermentation.Lactate dehydrogenase A(LdhA)catalyzes the synthesis of lactate from pyruvate.Lysine acetylation is an evolutionarily conserved post-translational modification;however,the mech-anisms underlying the regulation of LdhA function by lysine acetylation in Escherichia coli remain poorly under-stood.Herein,we demonstrate acetylation of E.coli LdhA occurs via enzymatic and non-enzymatic mechanisms.Further,we show carbon source type and concentration affect the lysine acetylation status of LdhA via a non-enzymatic mechanism.Lysine acetylation significantly inhibits the enzymatic activity and protein level of LdhA.The results of the present study demonstrate lysine acetylation of E.coli LdhA is irreversible.Understanding of the effects of lysine acetylation on LdhA function may provide a new perspective for regulating lactate production in microbial synthesis.Min Liu Meitong Huo Likun Guo Yingxin Fu Mo Xian Qingsheng Qi Wei Liu Guang Zhao 2022Engineering Microbiology2022,2,4:0
13The Metabolic Basis of Tumor Growth and Metastasis显示文摘Increasing research suggests that cancer is a metabolic disease.During tumor development,cancer cells increase their biosynthetic and bioenergetic demands to maintain tumor cell proliferation and metastasis.The focus of research on this topic has been on the metabolism of the primary tumor,while metabolic adjustments during primary tumor growth/progression and metastatic processes have not been extensively investigated.The current evidence indicates that the metabolism during tumor development is dynamic.Moreover,emerging data suggest that,once the tumor cells leave their primary sites,they may show different metabolic features distinct from the primary tumor,enabling them to successfully survive and metastasize.In this review,we summarize how this metabolic flexibility occurs during the growth of the primary tumor and the metastatic process,and also explore how metabolic adaptation is influenced by the microenvironments of the tumor cells.We hope that this review will provide inspiration and guidance for future research on tumor metabolism.Hai Yang Zhang Qiu Mo Zhang Jia Yi Han Tao Ning Guo Guang Ying Yi Ba 2017Journal of Nutritional Oncology2017,2,1:0

16The Status Quo and Prospect of Chinese-funded Enterprises Technology Transfer to Africa显示文摘Weak technical foundation is an important bottleneck to restrict economic growth of African countries. To promote the technological progress of Africa, the Chinese African strategy always encourages and supports Chinese-funded enterprises to transfer technology to Africa, but it is worth nothing that the critique by some African scholars and local communities on technology transfer to Africa by the Chinese-funded enterprises is spreading. In fact, in order to implement the 'localization' strategy, develop African market or honor cooperation agreement on additional technical transfer, Chinese-funded enterprises always adhere to actively carrying out technology transfer to Africa, and have made certain achievements in improving the host countries' technical environment, increasing labor income and others. 17In-situ TEM study on the evolution of dislocation loops and bubbles in CeO_(2)during Kr^(+)single-beam and Kr^(+)-H_(2)^(+)dual-beam synergetic irradiation显示文摘CeO_(2)is widely used as the nonradioactive surrogate fuel of UO_(2)when studying the irradiation performance of UO_(2).The evolution and characteristics of dislocation loops and bubbles in CeO_(2)foils were studied by in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)observation during 400 ke V Kr^(+)&30 ke V H_(2)^(+)dual-beam synergetic irradiation and 400 ke V Kr^(+)single-beam irradiation at 1073 K.The rotation of the habit plane of dislocation loops induced by above ion irradiation was found in the CeO_(2)for the first time,such as from[211]to[311]and then to[100].The rafted loops were first observed under Kr^(+)&H_(2)^(+)dual-beam synergetic irradiation,which not only had similar[111]direction,but also belonged to perfect dislocation loops(PDLs).The rafted loops were formed not only by the growth of loops that absorbed irradiation defects,but also by the combination of loops.But,this phenomenon of loop rafting was not obvious during Kr single-beam irradiation.It was first found that Kr^(+)irradiation induced the change of Burgers vectors of PDLs.The absorption of large PDLs to small PDLs was also observed.The average size and areal number density of dislocation loops and gas bubbles as a function of irradiation dose were constructed,which showed that the addition of H_(2)^(+)obviously affected the characteristics of dislocation loops and gas bubbles and the swelling of CeO_(2).Ziqi Cao Guang Ran Zhen Wang Yipeng Li Xiaoyong Wu Lu Wu Xiuyin Huang Huajun Mo 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,28:0

Result 4 prosthesis all could heal with tissue,but healing extent was different during different time. 19Bioinspired Closed-loop CPG-based Control of a Robotic Manta for Autonomous Swimming显示文摘Fish in nature exhibit a variety of swimming modes such as forward swimming,backward swimming,turning,pitching,etc.,enabling them to swim in complex scenes such as coral reefs.It is still difficult for a robotic fish to swim autonomously in a confined area as a real fish.Here,we develop an untethered robotic manta as an experimental platform,which consists of two flexible pectoral fins and a tail fin,with three infrared sensors installed on the front,left,and right sides of the head to sense the surrounding obstacles.To generate multiple swimming modes of the robotic manta and online switching of different modes,we design a closed-loop Central Pattern Generator(CPG)controller based on distance information and use a combination of phase difference and amplitude of the CPG model to achieve stable and rapid adjustment of yaw angle.To verify the autonomous swimming ability of the robotic manta in complex scenes,we design an experimental scenario with a concave obstacle.The experimental results show that the robotic manta can achieve forward swimming,backward swimming,in situ turning within the concave obstacle,and finally exit from the area safely while relying on the perception of external obstacles,which can provide insight into the autonomous exploration of complex scenes by the biomimetic robotic fish.Finally,the swimming ability of the robotic manta is verified by field tests.Yiwei Hao Yonghui Cao Yingzhuo Cao Xiong Mo Qiaogao Huang Lei Gong Guang Pan Yong Cao 2024Journal of Bionic Engineering2024,21,1:0
20Silicon PIN photodiode applied to acquire high-frequency sampling XAFS spectra显示文摘Experimental techniques based on SR facilities have emerged with the development of synchrotron radiation(SR)sources.Accordingly,detector miniaturization has become significant for the development of SR experimental techniques.In this study,the miniaturization of a detector was achieved by coupling a commercial silicon PIN photodiode(SPPD)into a beamstop,aiming for it not only to acquire X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS)spectra,but also to protect the subsequent two-dimensional detector from high-brilliance X-ray radiation damage in certain combination techniques.This mini SPPD detector coupled to a beamstop was used as the rear detector in both the conventional sampling scheme and novel high-frequency(HF)sampling scheme to collect the transmission XAFS spectra.Traditional ion chambers were also used to collect the transmission XAFS spectra,which were used as the reference.These XAFS spectra were quantitatively analyzed and compared;the results demonstrated that the XAFS spectra collected by this SPPD in both the conventional sampling scheme and HF sampling scheme are feasible.This study provides a new detector-selection scheme for the acquisition of the quick-scanning XAFS(QXAFS)and HF sampling XAFS spectra.The SPPD detector presented in this study can partially meet the requirements of detector miniaturization.Yun-Peng Liu Lei Yao Bing-Jie Wang Jia-Jun Zhong Hao Wang Li-Xiong Qian Zhong-Jun Chen Guang Mo Xue-Qing Xing Wei-Fan Sheng Zhong-Hua Wu 2022Nuclear Science and Techniques2022,33,7:0
