1Effect of intestinal ischemia-reperfusion on expressions of endogenous basic fibroblast growth factor and transforming growth factor β in lung and its relation with lung repair显示文摘AIM To study the changes of endogenoustransforming growth factor β(TGFβ)and basicfibroblast growth factor(bFGF)in lung followingintestinal ischemia and reperfusion injury andtheir effects on lung injury and repair.METHODS Sixty Wistar rats were divided intofive groups,which underwent sham-operation,ischemia(45 minutes),and reperfusion(6,24and 48 hours,respectively)after ischemia(45minutes).Immunohistochemical method wasused to observe the localization and amounts ofboth growth factors.RESULTS Positive signals of both growthfactors could be found in normal lung,mainly inalveolar cells and endothelial cells of vein.Afterischemia and reperfusion insult,expressions ofboth growth factors were increased and theiramounts at 6 hours were larger than those ofnormal control or of 24 and 48 hours after insult.CONCLUSION The endogenous bFGF and TGF βexpression appears to be up-regulated in thelung following intestinal ischemia andreperfusion,suggesting that both growth factorsmay be involved in the process of lung injury andrepair.Xiao Bing Fu Yin Hui Yang Tong Zhu Sun Xiao Man Gu Li Xian Jiang Xiao Oing Sun Zhi Yong Sheng Research Laboratory,304th Hospital of PLA,Beijing 100037,China 2000World Journal of Gastroenterology2000,6,3:21

4Environment-Stable CoxNiy Encapsulation in Stacked Porous Carbon Nanosheets for Enhanced Microwave Absorption显示文摘Magnetic/dielectric@porous carbon composites,derived from metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)with adjustable composition ratio,have attracted wide attention due to their unique magnetoelectric properties.In addition,MOFs-derived porous carbon-based materials can meet the needs of lightweight feature.This paper reports a simple process for synthesizing stacked CoxNiy@C nanosheets derived from CoxNiy-MOFs nanosheets with multiple interfaces,which is good to the microwave response.The CoxNiy@C with controllable composition can be obtained by adjusting the ratio of Co^2+ and Ni^2+.It is supposed that the increased Co content is benefit to the dielectric and magnetic loss.Additionally,the bandwidth of CoNi@C nanosheets can take up almost the whole Ku band.Moreover,this composite has better environmental stability in air,which characteristic provides a sustainable potential for the practical application.Xiaohui Liang Zengming Man Bin Quan Jing Zheng Weihua Gu Zhu Zhang Guangbin Ji 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,8:11
5kW-level,narrow-linewidth linearly polarized fiber laser with excellent beam quality through compact one-stage amplification scheme显示文摘In this manuscript, we demonstrate high-power, narrow-linewidth linearly polarized fiber laser with excellent beam quality through compact one-stage amplification scheme. By employing a single-mode–multimode–single-mode structure seed laser, a linearly polarized Yb-doped fiber laser with narrow linewidth and high output power is achieved.This laser, when used as a master oscillator, can be capable of suppressing the ASE in the process of power amplification.Thus, only one-stage amplification structure is used to scale up the laser power, and linearly polarized output with a polarization extinction ration of 14 d B, a narrow linewidth of 0.3 nm and an output power of 1018 W are achieved.Moreover, due to the good beam quality of seed laser and the well-designed amplifier stage, the beam quality of the output laser is near-diffraction-limited with M_x^2 ~1.18 and M_y^2 ~ 1.24 at the maximum power, and without mode instability occurring.Man Jiang Pengfei Ma Long Huang Jiangming Xu Pu Zhou Xijia Gu 2017High Power Laser Science and Engineering2017,5,4:7
6Rosmarinic acid ameliorates hypoxia/ischemia induced cognitive deficits and promotes remyelination显示文摘Rosmarinic acid,a common ester extracted from Rosemary,Perilla frutescens,and Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge,has been shown to have protective effects against various diseases.This is an investigation into whether rosmarinic acid can also affect the changes of white matter fibers and cognitive deficits caused by hypoxic injury.The right common carotid artery of 3-day-old rats was ligated for 2 hours.The rats were then prewarmed in a plastic container with holes in the lid,which was placed in 37°C water bath for 30 minutes.Afterwards,the rats were exposed to an atmosphere with 8% O2 and 92% N2 for 30 minutes to establish the perinatal hypoxia/ischemia injury models.The rat models were intraperitoneally injected with rosmarinic acid 20 mg/kg for 5 consecutive days.At 22 days after birth,rosmarinic acid was found to improve motor,anxiety,learning and spatial memory impairments induced by hypoxia/ischemia injury.Furthermore,rosmarinic acid promoted the proliferation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells in the subventricular zone.After hypoxia/ischemia injury,rosmarinic acid reversed to some extent the downregulation of myelin basic protein and the loss of myelin sheath in the corpus callosum of white matter structure.Rosmarinic acid partially slowed down the expression of oligodendrocyte marker Olig2 and myelin basic protein and the increase of oligodendrocyte apoptosis marker inhibitors of DNA binding 2.These data indicate that rosmarinic acid ameliorated the cognitive dysfunction after perinatal hypoxia/ischemia injury by improving remyelination in corpus callosum.This study was approved by the Animal Experimental Ethics Committee of Xuzhou Medical University,China (approval No.20161636721) on September 16,2017.Man Li Miao-Miao Cui Nwobodo Alexander Kenechukwu Yi-Wei Gu Yu-Lin Chen Si-Jing Zhong Yu-Ting Gao Xue-Yan Cao Li Wang Fu-Min Liu Xiang-Ru Wen 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,5:3
7Trp_(548)Met mutation of acetolactate synthase in rice confers resistance to a broad spectrum of ALS-inhibiting herbicides显示文摘Herbicide resistance in crop plants is valuable for integrated weed management in agriculture. Herbicide resistant rice, in particular, is important to management of weedy rice, a close relative of cultivated rice and a noxious weed prevalent in rice fields that remains challenging to farmers worldwide. Herbicide resistant plants can be obtained through transgenic approach or by mutagenesis of regular plant and screening of mutants with elevated resistance to herbicide. In this study, we conducted ethyl methyl sulfonate mutagenesis(EMS) to elite indica cultivar Huanghuazhan(HHZ) and screened for mutants resistant to imazapic, a herbicide that can inhibit the acetolactate synthase(ALS) in plants. We obtained three mutants of Os ALS gene that have not been reported previously in rice. One of the mutants, with Trp_(548) changed to Met(W_(548)M), was analyzed in more details in this study. This mutation had no negative effect on the plant physiology and morphology as well as rice yield. Compared with the imidazolinone-resistant mutant S_(627)N(Ser_(627) changed to Asn) that has been deployed for Clearfield rice development, W_(548)M mutant showed high levels of resistance to a broad spectrum of five families of ALSinhibiting herbicides, in addition to a higher level of resistance to herbicides of the imidazolinone family.The herbicide-resistance was stably inherited by crossing into other rice lines. 9Glutamate synthase 1 is involved in iron-deficiency response and long-distance transportation in Arabidopsis显示文摘Iron is an essential microelement for plant growth.After uptake from the soil,iron is chelated by ligands and translocated from roots to shoots for sub-sequent utilization.However,the number of ligands in-volved in iron chelation is unclear.In this study,we identified and demonstrated that GLU1,which encodes a ferredoxin-dependent glutamate synthase,was involved in iron homeostasis.First,the expression of GLU1 was strongly induced by iron deficiency condition.Second,lesion of GLU1 results in reduced transcription of many iron-deficiency-responsive genes in roots and shoots.The mutant plants revealed a decreased iron concentration in the shoots,and displayed severe leaf chlorosis under the condition of Fe limitation,compared to wild-type.Third,the product of GLU1,glutamate,could chelate iron in vivo and promote iron transportation.Last,we also found that supplementation of glutamate in the medium can alleviate cadmium toxicity in plants.Overall,our results provide evidence that GLU1 is involved in iron homeo-stasis through affecting glutamate synthesis under iron deficiency conditions in Arabidopsis.Man Cui Mengjun Gu Yaru Lu Yue Zhang Chunlin Chen Hong‐Qing Ling Huilan Wu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,12:2
10On the loss mechanisms of radiation belt electron dropouts during the 12 September 2014 geomagnetic storm显示文摘Radiation belt electron dropouts indicate electron flux decay to the background level during geomagnetic storms,which is commonly attributed to the effects of wave-induced pitch angle scattering and magnetopause shadowing.To investigate the loss mechanisms of radiation belt electron dropouts triggered by a solar wind dynamic pressure pulse event on 12 September 2014,we comprehensively analyzed the particle and wave measurements from Van Allen Probes.The dropout event was divided into three periods:before the storm,the initial phase of the storm,and the main phase of the storm.The electron pitch angle distributions(PADs)and electron flux dropouts during the initial and main phases of this storm were investigated,and the evolution of the radial profile of electron phase space density(PSD)and the(μ,K)dependence of electron PSD dropouts(whereμ,K,and L^*are the three adiabatic invariants)were analyzed.The energy-independent decay of electrons at L>4.5 was accompanied by butterfly PADs,suggesting that the magnetopause shadowing process may be the major loss mechanism during the initial phase of the storm at L>4.5.The features of electron dropouts and 90°-peaked PADs were observed only for>1 MeV electrons at L<4,indicating that the wave-induced scattering effect may dominate the electron loss processes at the lower L-shell during the main phase of the storm.Evaluations of the(μ,K)dependence of electron PSD drops and calculations of the minimum electron resonant energies of H+-band electromagnetic ion cyclotron(EMIC)waves support the scenario that the observed PSD drop peaks around L^*=3.9 may be caused mainly by the scattering of EMIC waves,whereas the drop peaks around L^*=4.6 may result from a combination of EMIC wave scattering and outward radial diffusion.Xin Ma Zheng Xiang BinBin Ni Song Fu Xing Cao Man Hua DeYu Guo YingJie Guo XuDong Gu ZeYuan Liu Qi Zhu 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,6:2

19FinFET Performance Enhancement by Source/Drain Cavity Structure Optimization显示文摘Fin field-effect transistor(FinFET)technology has been introduced to the mainstream complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)manufacturing for low-power and highperformance applications.However,advanced FinFET nodes are facing significant challenges to enhance the device performance due to the increasingly prominent parasitic resistance and capacitance.In this study,for the first time,we demonstrate methods of enhancing p-channel FinFET(pFET)performance on a fully integrated advanced FinFET platform via source/drain(S/D)cavity structure optimization.By modulating the cavity depth and proximity around the optimal reference point,we show that the trade-off between the S/D resistance and short channel effect,as well as the impact on the parasitic capacitance must be considered for the S/D cavity structure optimization.An extra process knob of applying cavity implant on the desired cavity structure was also demonstrated to modify the S/D junction profile for device performance enhancement.Man Gu Wenjun Li Haiting Wang Owen Hu 2020Journal of Microelectronic Manufacturing2020,3,2:1
