1Geothermal field and thermo-tectonic evolution in Southern South Yellow Sea Basin显示文摘Based on the available borehole temperature data and measurements of thermal conductivities on 10 core samples in the Southern South Yellow Sea Basin, 8 heat flow values are obtained. The results show that the mean values of temperature gradient and heat flow are 28.6℃/km and 69 mW/m2, respectively. The thermal history reconstruction from the inversion of vitrinite reflectance data, using the temperature-gradient method, indicates that the highest paleo-heat flow occurred at the end of the Mesozoic, and then the basin began to cool to present day. 2Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans in different tissues of the cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo) from Dongting Lake,China显示文摘Tissue distribution provides important information regarding the pharmacokinetic behavior of pollutants and is invaluable when analyzing the risk posed to avian species by the exposure to such kind of pollutants.In this study,concentrations of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) were determined in muscle,liver,spleen,kidney,stomach,gall bladder,skin,heart,pancreas,intestine and lung tissue extracts of cormorants collected from Dongting Lake,China.Tissue distribution results showed preferential accumulation of PCDD/Fs in both liver and skin.The total concentration of PCDD/Fs ranged from 421 to 5696 pg/g lipid weight.Octachlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (OCDD) was the predominant congener in all tissues and contributed between 31% and 82% to all 17 PCDD/Fs in different tissues.The liver/muscle ratios progressively increased with the degree of chlorination of PCDDs,except for OCDD.The relative toxic potential of PCDDs and PCDFs in tissues were calculated using the World Health Organization (WHO) Toxic Equivalency Factors (TEFs) for birds.The concentrations of WHO-toxic equivalent in different tissues ranged between 14.8 and 2021 pg/g lipid weight.These results indicated PCDD/Fs may have been bio-accumulated in cormorant via food-web.Furthermore,when compared with studies reported in the literatures,the PCDD/Fs levels in the cormorant collected from Dongting Lake were still relatively high.Lirong Gaol Minghui Zheng Bing Zhang Wenbin Liu Ke Xiao Guijin Su Qinghua Zhang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,10:4

5Nanoscale zero-valent iron supported on biochar for the highly efficient removal of nitrobenzene显示文摘The application of nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) in the remediation of contaminated groundwater or wastewater is limited due to its lack of stability, easy aggregation and iron leaching. To address this issue, nZVI was distributed on oak sawdust-derived biochar (BC) to obtain the nZVI/BC composite for the highly efficient reduction of nitrobenzene (NB). nZVI, BC and nZVI/BC were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). For nZVI/BC, nZVI particles were uniformly dispersed on BC. nZVI/BC exhibited higher removal efficiency for NB than the simple summation of bare nZVI and BC. The removal mechanism was investigated through the analyses of UV-Visible spectra, mass balance and XPS. NB was quickly adsorbed on the surface of nZVI/BC, and then gradually reduced to aniline (AN), accompanied by the oxidation of nZVI to magnetite. The effects of several reaction parameters, e.g., NB concentration, reaction pH and nZVI/BC aging time, on the removal of NB were also studied. 15Multicomponent Kinetic Determination by Wavelet Packet Transform Based Elman Recurrent Neural Network Method显示文摘This paper covers a novel method named wavelet packet transform based Elman recurrent neural network(WPTERNN) for the simultaneous kinetic determination of periodate and iodate. The wavelet packet representations of signals provide a local time-frequency description, thus in the wavelet packet domain, the quality of the noise removal can be improved. The Elman recurrent network was applied to non-linear multivariate calibration. In this case, by means of optimization, the wavelet function, decomposition level and number of hidden nodes for WPTERNN method were selected as D4, 5 and 5 respectively. A program PWPTERNN was designed to perform multicomponent kinetic determination. The relative standard error of prediction(RSEP) for all the components with WPTERNN, Elman RNN and PLS were 3.23%, 11.8% and 10.9% respectively.
