1Forest canopy height mapping over China using GLAS and MODIS data显示文摘The Geoscience Laser Altimeter System(GLAS)accurately detects the vertical structural information of a target within its laser spot and is a promising system for the inversion of structural features and other biophysical parameters of forest ecosystems.Since the GLAS footprints are discontinuously distributed with a relativity low density,continuous vegetation height distributions cannot be mapped with a high accuracy using GLAS data alone.The MODIS BRDF product provides more forest structural information than other optical remote sensing data.This study aimed to map forest canopy heights over China from the GLAS and MODIS BRDF data.Firstly,the waveform characteristic parameters were extracted from the GLAS data by the method of wavelet analysis,and the terrain index was calculated using the ASTER GDEM data.Secondly,the model reducing the topographic influence was constructed from the waveform characteristic parameters and terrain index.Thirdly,the final canopy height estimation model was constructed from the neural network combining the canopy height estimated with the GLAS point and the MODIS BRDF data,and applied to get the continuous canopy height map over China.Finally,the map was validated by the measured data and the airborne Li DAR data,and the validation results indicated that forest canopy heights can be estimated with high accuracy from combined GLAS and MODIS data.YANG Ting WANG Cheng LI GuiCai LUO SheZhou XI XiaoHuan GAO Shuai ZENG HongCheng 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,1:8
2Flexible Waterproof Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors with Wide Linear Working Range Based on Conductive Fabrics显示文摘Developing flexible sensors with high working performance holds intense interest for diverse applications in leveraging the Internet-of-things(IoT)infrastructures.For flexible piezoresistive sensors,traditionally most efforts are focused on tailoring the sensing materials to enhance the contact resistance variation for improving the sensitivity and working range,and it,however,remains challenging to simultaneously achieve flexible sensor with a linear working range over a high-pressure region(>100 kPa)and keep a reliable sensitivity.Herein,we devised a laserengraved silver-coated fabric as'soft'sensor electrode material to markedly advance the flexible sensor's linear working range to a level of 800 kPa with a high sensitivity of 6.4 kPa^-1 yet a fast response time of only 4 ms as well as long-time durability,which was rarely reported before.The integrated sensor successfully routed the wireless signal of pulse rate to the portable smartphone,further demonstrating its potential as a reliable electronic.Along with the rationally building the electrode instead of merely focusing on sensing materials capable of significantly improving the sensor's performance,we expect that this design concept and sensor system could potentially pave the way for developing more advanced wearable electronics in the future.Hongcheng Xu Libo Gao Yuejiao Wang Ke Cao Xinkang Hu Liang Wang Meng Mu Min Liu Haiyan Zhang Weidong Wang Yang Lu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11:4
3Solvent extraction of thorium(Ⅳ) using W/O microemulsion显示文摘The extraction of thorium(IV) was investigated using two types of W/O microemulsion,one of which was formed by a surface-active saponified extractant sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate(NaDEHP) and the other was formed by a mixture of an anionic surfactant sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate(AOT) and an extractant bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid(HDEHP) as the cosurfactant.The extraction capacities of the above two systems were higher than that of the HDEHP extraction system.High concentration of NaNO 3 showed no influence on the extraction in the NaDEHP based W/O microemulsion system,whilst reduced the extractability in the AOT-HDEHP W/O microemulsion system.The mechanism in acidic condition was demonstrated by the log-log plot method.The structure of the aggregations and the water content in the organic phase after extraction were measured by dynamic light scattering and Karl Fischer water titration,respectively.It was found that NaDEHP based W/O microemulsion broke up after extraction,while AOT-HDEHP W/O microemulsion was reserved.GAO Song SHEN XingHai CHEN QingDe GAO HongCheng 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,9:4
4Investigation on the extraction of strontium ions from aqueous phase using crown ether-ionic liquid systems显示文摘The extraction of strontium ions using DCH18C6 as the extractant and various ionic liquids(ILs) as solvents has been investigated.The distribution ratio of Sr2+ can reach as high as 103 under certain conditions,much larger than that in DCH18C6/n-octanol system.The extraction capacity depends greatly on the structure of ionic liquids.In Ils-based extraction systems,the extraction efficiency of strontium ions is reduced by increasing the concentration of nitric acid and can also be influenced directly by the presence of Na+ and K+ in the aqueous phase.It is confirmed that the extraction proceeds mainly via a cation-exchange mechanism.XU Chao SHEN XingHai CHEN QingDe GAO HongCheng 2009Science China Chemistry2009,52,11:3
5The electrocatalytic activity of BaTiO3 nanoparticles towards polysulfides enables high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The slow redox dynamics and dissolution of polysulfides in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries result in poor rate performance and rapid decay of battery capacity,thus limiting their practical application.Ferroelectric barium titanate(BT)nanoparticles have been reported to effectively improve the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries due to the inherent self-polarization and high adsorption capacity of the BT nanoparticles towards polysulfides.Here in this paper,BT nanoparticles,behave as highly efficient electrocatalyst and demonstrate much higher redox dynamics towards the conversion reaction of polysulfides and Li2S than TiO2,as shown by both electrochemical measurements and density functional theory calculation.The coupling of the sulfur host of the hollow and graphitic carbon flakes(HGCF)and the BT nanoparticles(HGCF/S-BT)enable excellent electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries,delivering a0.047%capacity decay per cycle in 1000 cycles at 1 C,788 mAh g^-1 at 2 C and a reversible capacity of613 mAh g^-1 after 300 cycles at a current density of 0.5 C at a S loading of 3.4 mg cm^-2.HGCF/S-BT also shows great promise for practical application in flexible devices as demonstrated on the soft-packaged Li-S batteries.Hongcheng Gao Shunlian Ning Jiasui Zou Shuang Men Yuan Zhou Xiujun Wang Xiongwu Kang 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:2

8Effects of Early- and Late-Sowing on Starch Accumulation and Associated Enzyme Activities During Grain Filling Stage in Rice显示文摘The environmental temperature occurring during the grain filling stage is an important factoraffecting starch synthesis and accumulation in rice. We investigated starch accumulation, amylaseactivity and starch granule size distribution in two low-amylose japonica rice varieties, Nanjing 9108 andFujing 1606, grown in the field at different filling temperatures by manipulating sowing date. The two ricevarieties exhibited similar performances between two sowing dates. Total starch, amylose andamylopectin contents were lower at the early-filling stage of T1 treatment (Early-sowing) compared withthose at the same stage in T2 treatment (Late-sowing). In contrast, at the late-filling stage, when fieldtemperatures were generally decreasing, total starch and amylopectin contents in T1 were highercompared to those in T2. The ideal temperature for strong activity of ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylaseand soluble starch synthase was about 22℃. A higher temperature from the heading to maturity stagesin T1 increased the activities of starch branching enzyme and suppressed the activities of granule boundstarch synthetase and starch debranching enzyme. We found that rice produced larger-sized starchgranules under the T1 treatment. 9Pyrrole derivatives as interlayer modifier of Li-S batteries:Modulation of electrochemical performance by molecular perturbation显示文摘The electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is strongly hampered by the shuttle effect and slow redox kinetics of lithium polysulfides(Li PSs).Surface modified interlayer of a separator of Li-S batteries is demonstrated to be an effective strategy to overcome this problem.Herein,cobalt nanoparticles confined in nitrogen co-doped porous carbon framework(Co-CN)were developed from pyrolysis of ZIF-67 and used as interlayer of PP separator for Li-S batteries,and were functionalized by four pyrrole derivatives,1-phenylpyrrole,1-methyl pyrrole,1-(p-toluenesulfonyl)pyrrole,and 1-pyrrole,respectively,which were screened in terms of the electron-withdrawing/donating ability of the substituent groups on the pyrrolic nitrogen.The impact of the molecular structure of pyrrole derivatives on the interaction with Li PSs and the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries were explored by nuclear magnetic resonance and theoretical calculation.It is uncovered that 1-phenylpyrrole shows the highest enhancement of redox kinetics of Li PSs,attributing to the optimal interaction with Co nanoparticles and Li PSs.Therefore,1-phenylpyrrole modified Co-CN interlayer enables the best electrochemical performance for the Li-S batteries,delivering a specific capacity of 562 m Ah g^(-1)at 5 C and a capacity of 538,526,and 449 m Ah g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1,2,and 3 C,respectively.At a high sulfur loading of 5.5 mg cm^(-2),it achieves a capacity of 440 m Ah g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 C.This work reveals the interaction mechanism among Li PSs,Co nanoparticles and the molecular modifiers in improving the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries.Jiajv Lin Yuan Zhou Jingbo Wen Weijie Si Hongcheng Gao Gongming Wang Xiongwu Kang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,,12:1

15Highly Sensitive Pseudocapacitive Iontronic Pressure Sensor with Broad Sensing Range显示文摘Flexible pressure sensors are unprecedentedly studied on monitoring human physical activities and robotics.Simultaneously,improving the response sensitivity and sensing range of flexible pressure sensors is a great challenge,which hinders the devices’practical application.Targeting this obstacle,we developed a Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-derived iontronic pressure sensor(TIPS)by taking the advantages of the high intercalation pseudocapacitance under high pressure and rationally designed structural configuration.TIPS achieved an ultrahigh sen-sitivity(S_(min)>200 kPa^(−1),S_(max)>45,000 kPa^(−1))in a broad sensing range of over 1.4 MPa and low limit of detection of 20 Pa as well as stable long-term working durability for 10,000 cycles.The practical application of TIPS in physical activity monitoring and flexible robot manifested its versatile potential.This study provides a demonstration for exploring pseudocapacitive materials for building flexible iontronic sensors with ultrahigh sensitivity and sensing range to advance the development of high-performance wearable electronics.Libo Gao Meng Wang Weidong Wang Hongcheng Xu Yuejiao Wang Haitao Zhao Ke Cao Dandan Xu Lei Li 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,9:1

20Stretchable and anti-impact iontronic pressure sensor with an ultrabroad linear range for biophysical monitoring and deep learning-aided knee rehabilitation显示文摘Monitoring biophysical signals such as body or organ movements and other physical phenomena is necessary for patient rehabilitation.However,stretchable flexible pressure sensors with high sensitivity and a broad range that can meet these requirements are still lacking.Herein,we successfully monitored various vital biophysical features and implemented in-sensor dynamic deep learning for knee rehabilitation using an ultrabroad linear range and highsensitivity stretchable iontronic pressure sensor(SIPS).We optimized the topological structure and material composition of the electrode to build a fully stretching on-skin sensor.The high sensitivity(12.43 kPa^(−1)),ultrabroad linear sensing range(1 MPa),high pressure resolution(6.4 Pa),long-term durability(no decay after 12000 cycles),and excellent stretchability(up to 20%)allow the sensor to maintain operating stability,even in emergency cases with a high sudden impact force(near 1 MPa)applied to the sensor.As a practical demonstration,the SIPS can positively track biophysical signals such as pulse waves,muscle movements,and plantar pressure.Importantly,with the help of a neuro-inspired fully convolutional network algorithm,the SIPS can accurately predict knee joint postures for better rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery.Our SIPS has potential as a promising candidate for wearable electronics and artificial intelligent medical engineering owing to its unique high signal-to-noise ratio and ultrabroad linear range.Hongcheng Xu Libo Gao Haitao Zhao Hanlin Huang Yuejiao Wang Gang Chen Yuxin Qin Ningjuan Zhao Dandan Xu Ling Duan Xuan Li Siyu Li Zhongbao Luo Weidong Wang Yang Lu 2021Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,6:0
