| 1 | Effect of Sini San Freeze-dried powder on sleep-waking cycle in insomnia rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of the Sini San at different doses on each sleeping state[slow-wave sleep 1(SWS1), slow-wave sleep 2(SWS2), rapid-eye-movement(REM), wakefulness(W)] in insomnia rats and to identify its mode of ac-tion for improving sleep.METHODS: The insomnia rats were randomly divided into a high-, medium- or low-dose group of Sini San(equal to crude drug 8.8, 4.4, or 2.2 g/kg, respectively) for seven consecutive days.RESULTS: Compared with pre-administration,SWS2 was significantly increased after administration of the low dose. Compared with pre-administration, W was significantly decreased and SWS1,SWS2, and the total sleeping time(TST) were markedly increased after administration of the medium dose. Compared with pre-administration, W was significantly decreased and SWS1, SWS2, rapid-eye-movement sleep, and TST were significantly longer after administration of the high dose. | 2 | Genesis of the Nanyangtian scheelite deposit in southeastern Yunnan Province,China: evidence from mineral chemistry,fluid inclusions,and C–O isotopes显示文摘The Nanyangtian skarn-type scheelite deposit is an important part of the Laojunshan W–Sn polymetallic metallogenic region in southeastern Yunnan Province,China. The deposit comprises multiple scheelite ore bodies;multilayer skarn-type scheelite ore bodies are dominant,with a small amount of quartz vein-type ore bodies. Skarn minerals include diopside, hedenbergite, grossular, and epidote. Three mineralization stages exist: skarn, quartz–scheelite, and calcite. The homogenization temperatures of fluid inclusions in hydrothermal minerals that formed in different paragenetic phases were measured as follows:221–423℃ (early skarn stage), 177–260℃ (quartz–scheelite stage), and 173–227℃ (late calcite stage). The measured salinity of fluid inclusions ranged from 0.18% to16.34% NaCleqv(skarn stage), 0.35%–7.17% NaCleqv(quartz–scheelite stage), and 0.35%–2.24% NaCleqv(late calcite vein stage). Laser Raman spectroscopic studies on fluid inclusions in the three stages showed H_2O as the main component, with N_2 present in minor amounts. Minor amounts of CH_4 were found in the quartz–scheelite stage. It was observed that the homogenization temperature gradually reduced from the early to the late mineralization stages; moreover, δ^(13)C_(PDB) values for ore-bearing skarn in the mineralization period ranged from -5.7‰ to-6.9‰ and the corresponding δ^(18)O_(SMOW) values ranged from 5.8‰ to 9.1‰, implying that the ore-forming fluid was mainly sourced from magmatic water with a minor amount of meteoric water. | 12 | Tree Planting:How Fast Can It Accelerate Post-fire Forest Restoration?——A Case Study in Northern Da Hinggan Mountains,China显示文摘In 1987,a catastrophic fire burned over 1330000 ha in the densely forested area of the Da Hinggan Mountains in the northeastern China.After the fire,intensive management including burned trunk harvesting and coniferous tree planting had been conducted to accelerate forest restoration.To study the long term effect of these activities on forest recovery,we used a simulation modeling approach to study long-term(300 years) forest dynamics under current planting and natural regeneration scenarios.Results indicate that under tree planting scenario in the severely burned area,the dominant species Dahurian larch(Larix gmelinii) can reach pre-fire level(60% of the area) within 20 years and the maximum abundance can reach nearly 90% within 100 years.While under natural regeneration scenario,it needs about 250 years to reach its pre-fire level.From the perspective of timber production,tree planting can bring twice as much timber volume as that under natural regeneration within 300 years,which is the average longevity of L.gmelinii.It needs about 70 years to reach the timber volume of pre-fire level under the planting scenario,whereas it requires at least 250 years to reach the timber volume of pre-fire level under natural regeneration scenario.Another dominant species Asian White birch(Betula platyphylla) responded negatively to the planting of coniferous species.In general,tree planting of coniferous species after fire can greatly accelerate forest restoration in terms of species abundance and target timber volume,with desirable ecological and economic returns. | LI Xiuzhen HE Hong S WANG Xugao XIE Fuju HU Yuanman LI Yuehui | 2010 | Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,6: | 1 |
