| 12 | Middle Jurassic palynomorphs of the Dalichai Formation, central Alborz Ranges, northeastern Iran:Paleoecological inferences显示文摘Palynological data are used to draw paleoecological inferences for the Dalichai Formation,northeast of Semnan,northeastern Iran.All samples examined yield well-preserved,diverse palynofloras consisting predominantly of miospores;dinoflagellate cysts,foraminiferal test linings,and fungal spores occur as minor constituents.Fifty-four species of spores(37 genera),18species of pollen(9 genera),and 16 species of dinoflagellate cysts(13 genera)are recognized.Co-occurrence of such miospore species with known vertical ranges as Klukisporites variegatus,Sellaspora asperata,Murospora florida,and Concavissimisporites verrucosus suggests a Middle Jurassic(Bajocian-Callovian)age for the host strata,thus corroborating the available paleozoological evidence.Such spore species as Klukisporites,Cyathidites,and Dictyophyllidites known to have been produced by Pterophyta dominate the palynofloras.Thus the contemporaneous coastal vegetation was characterized by predominance of Pterophyta whereas representatives of Ginkgophyta,Pteridospermophyta,Lycophyta,Coniferophyta,and Bryophyta were rarely represented.This reconstruction implies that a moist,warm climate prevailed in northeastern Iran during the Middle Jurassic(Bajocian-Callovian).This is confirmed by occurrence of fungal spores accompanied by such warm water dinoflagellate cysts as Mendicodinium groenlandicum,Pareodinia ceratophora,and Gonyaulacysta jurassica.Abundance of Amorphous Organic Matter(AOM)signifies a shallow,low-energy,dysoxic-anoxic depositional site for the host strata.Furthermore,the ratio of AOM to marine palynomorphs as well as abundance of blade-shaped to eqiudimensional opaque palynomacerals could indicate low sedimentation rate in a shallow,low-oxygenated marine environment.Additionally,occurrence of chorate dinoflagellate cysts(e.g.,Adnatosphaeridium caulleryi)and acritarchs bearing relatively long processes(e.g.,Micrhystridium)possibly suggests deepening upward in the study section. | DEHBOZORGI Afsaneh SAJJADI Freshteh HASHEMI Hossein | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,12: | 0 |
| 13 | Fitting logistic regression models to assess vitamin D deficiency with clinical parameters in chronic hepatitis B patients显示文摘Statistical models provide a quantitative structure with which clinicians can evaluate their hypotheses to explain patterns in observed data and generate forecasts.In contrast,vitamin D is an important immune modulator that plays an emerging role in liver diseases such as chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Therefore,we quantified 25(OH)D_(3) serum levels in 292 CHB patients tested for their association with clinical parameters.Of 292 patients,69(63%),95(47%),and 39(19%)had severe vitamin D deficiency(25(OH)D_(3)<10 ng/mL),vitamin D insufficiency(25(OH)D_(3)10 and<20 ng/mL),or adequate vitamin D serum levels(25(OH)D_(3)20 ng/mL),respectively.In both univariate and multivariate analyses,zinc serum level was a strong predictor of low 25(OH)D_(3) serum levels(P<0.001).Results of fitted models showed that lower vitamin D levels were significantly associated with:younger age,lower uric acid levels,HBeAg-positive status,lower calcium levels(p<0.05).Vitamin D deficiency(<20 ng/ml)or severe deficiency(<10 ng/ml)was observed more frequently among HBV patients(52%).Vitamin D deficiency was observed in most CHB patients.Generally,our results recommend that substitution of vitamin D can be a substitution method in the treatment of patients with HBV-associated disorders. | Freshteh Osmani Ghodsiyeh Azarkar | 2021 | Infectious Disease Modelling2021,6,1: | 0 |
| 14 | Geochemistry and provenance of the lower-middle pliocene cheleken formation,Iran显示文摘In the present study,the Lower-Middle Pliocene Cheleken Formation in the south of Ghaemshahr city was studied to determine the provenance of the comprising sediments,paleoclimatic conditions,and tectonic setting of the rocks.Petrographic and geochemical analyses of major and minor elements of the samples were used for this purpose.This Formation is composed of three major facies including conglomerate,fine sandstone,and mudstone.The source formations which were recognized to be supplying sediments to the Cheleken Formation depositional basin include Lalun,Ziarat,Tizkuh,Dalichai,and Cretaceous formations.According to the discrimination diagrams and other ratios for minor elements of the studied samples,a complex of felsic to intermediate igneous rocks in the source region was deciphered.The depositional environment of the rocks experienced humid and semi-arid climatic conditions during deposition.According to the CIW index,the samples underwent a high level of weathering(97%)in the source area or during transportation.From a tectonic point of view,the Cheleken Formation was deposited in an Active Continental Margin setting. | Houshang Mehrabi Seyed Mohammad Zamanzadeh Abdolhossein Amini Vahid Tavakoli Freshteh Sajjadi Seyede Sepideh Mirrabie Behzad Soltani | 2021 | Acta Geochimica2021,40,5: | 0 |
