1Preparation of nanocrystalline γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst using different procedures for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether显示文摘A series of nanocrystalline γ-alumina are synthesized by different procedures, namely, thermal decomposition method (sample A), precipita-tion method (sample B) and sol-gel method using sucrose and hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as templates (samples C and D, respectively). Textural and acidic properties of γ-alumina samples are characterized by XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption and NH3-TPD techniques. Vapor-phase dehydration of methanol into dimethyl ether is carried out over these samples. Among them, sample C shows the highest catalytic activity. NH3-TPD analysis reveals that the sample with smaller crystallite size possesses higher concentration of medium acidic sites and consequently higher catalytic activity. 2Synthesis of nanocrystalline γ-Al_2O_3 by sol-gel and precipitation methods for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether显示文摘The capability of sol-gel and conventional precipitation techniques for the synthesis of nanocrystalline γ-alumina was investigated. These catalysts were used for vapor-phase dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether in a fixed-bed reactor under the same operating conditions (T = 300 ?C, P = 1 bar, LHSV = 2.8, 11.7, 26.1 h?1) and characterized by means of N2 adsorption-desorption, NH3-TPD, XRD, TGA and SEM techniques. 3Introduction of table sugar as a soft second template in ZSM-5 nanocatalyst and its effect on product distribution and catalyst lifetime in methanol to gasoline conversion显示文摘Methanol to gasoline reaction was investigated on two prepared ZSM-5 catalysts. The first one was a conventional catalyst denoted as ZSM-5(C) and the other was a hierarchical catalyst-ZSM-5(S) which was prepared by incorporation of table sugar in catalyst gel during the synthesis procedure. The catalysts were characterized by FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM, N_2 adsorption-desorption, NH_3-TPD and TGA analytical technics. The proposed material showed pore modification as well as acidity moderating properties in ZSM-5 catalyst. The methanol to gasoline reaction was conducted in a fixed bed reactor with a WHSV of 1.5 h^(-1).Methanol conversions, gasoline yield and selectivity in production for the synthesized catalysts were determined by gas chromatography method. The sugar modified catalyst converted more methanol than the conventional one and an enhancement in catalyst's life time was observed. The selectivity to aromatics and durene were reduced compared to the conventional catalyst, so the gasoline quality was also further improved. The coking rate of catalysts was calculated employing TGA method. 8碱性介质中(氢)氧化铜修饰电极电催化氧化蔗糖(英文)显示文摘A stable copper(hydr)oxide-modified electrode was prepared in 0.5 mol/L NaOH solution by cyclic voltammetry in the range of -250 to 1 000 mV.It can be used for electrochemical studies in the range of -250 to 1000 mV without interfering peaks because there is no oxidation of copper.During an anodic potential sweep,the electro-oxidation of saccharose on Cu occurred by the formation of CuⅢ and this reaction also occurred in the early stages of the reversed cycle until it is stopped by the negative potentials.A mechanism based on the electro-chemical generation of CuⅢ active sites and their subsequent consumption by saccharose was proposed,and the rate law and kinetic parameters were obtained.The charge transfer resistance from theoretical and impedance studies was used to verify the mechanism.Under chronoamperometry regimes,the reaction followed Cottrellian behavior.The transfer of up to 21 electrons was observed in further investigations of the electro-oxidation of saccharose on a(hydr)oxide Cu rotating disk electrode.Majid JAFARIAN Mehdi RASHVAND AVEI Iman DANAEE Fereydoon GOBAL Mohammad G.MAHJANI 2010催化学报2010,31,11:1

20Electrochemical Impedance of Ethanol Oxidation in Alkaline Media显示文摘Nickel modified NiOOH electrodes were used for the electrocatalytic oxidation of ethanol in alkaline so lutions. The electro-oxidation of ethanol in a 1 mol/L NaOH solution at different concentrations of ethanol was stu died by ac impedance spectroscopy. Electrooxidation of ethanol on Ni shows negative resistance on impedance plots. The impedance shows different patterns at different applied anodic potential. The influence of the electrode potential on impedance was studied and a quantitative explanation for the impedance of ethanol oxidation was given by means of a proposed mathematical model. At potentials higher than 0.52 V(vs. Ag/AgCl), a pseudoinductive behavior was observed, but at those higher than 0.57 V, impedance patterns were reversed to the second and third quadrants.
