1New Iron-based SiC Spherical Composite Magnetic Abrasive for Magnetic Abrasive Finishing显示文摘SiC magnetic abrasive is used to polish surfaces of precise, complex parts which are hard, brittle and highly corrosion-resistant in magnetic abrasive finishing(MAF). Various techniques are employed to produce this magnetic abrasive, but few can meet production demands because they are usually time-consuming, complex with high cost, and the magnetic abrasives made by these techniques have irregular shape and low bonding strength that result in low processing efficiency and shorter service life. Therefore, an attempt is made by combining gas atomization and rapid solidification to fabricate a new iron-based SiC spherical composite magnetic abrasive. The experimental system to prepare this new magnetic abrasive is constructed according to the characteristics of gas atomization and rapid solidification process and the performance requirements of magnetic abrasive. The new iron-based SiC spherical composite magnetic abrasive is prepared successfully when the machining parameters and the composition proportion of the raw materials are controlled properly. Its morphology, microstructure, phase composition are characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis. The MAF tests on plate of mold steel S136 are carried out without grinding lubricant to assess the finishing performance and service life of this new SiC magnetic abrasive. The surface roughness(Ra) of the plate worked is rapidly reduced to 0.051 μm from an initial value of 0.372 μm within 5 min. The MAF test is carried on to find that the service life of this new SiC magnetic abrasive reaches to 155 min. The results indicate that this process presented is feasible to prepare the new SiC magnetic abrasive; and compared with previous magnetic abrasives, the new SiC spherical composite magnetic abrasive has excellent finishing performance, high processing efficiency and longer service life. 2Characteristics of High Temperature Rupture of a Cast Ni-Based Superalloy M963显示文摘The rupture behavior of a cast Ni-base superalloy M963 at high temperature has been investi- gated. The microstructure examination shows that there exists a large amount of the carbide and γ-γ’ eutectic, which is very harmful to the mechanical properties of M963 superalloy. The tensile strength of M963 superalloy both at room temperature and at high temperatures is higher than that of K17G alloy, but the tensile ductility of the former is much lower than that of the latter. In tensile fracture process with the high strain rate, the open carbides are the initiation site and the carbide/matrix interface is the propagation path of cracks. But in fracture process with the low strain rate, the carbide/matrix interface and cast microvoids are the initiation sites, and the carbide/matrix interface is the propagation path of cracks. 3Inhibitory effect of heparin-derived oligosaccharides on secretion of interleukin-4 and interleukin-5 from human peripheral blood T lymphocytes显示文摘AIM: To investigate the inhibitory effect of heparin-derived oligosaccharides (Oligs) on secretion of interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-5 (IL-5) from human peripheral blood T lymphocytes (PBTLs).METHODS: Oligs were prepared by three different heparin depolymerization methods and separated by gel filtration chromatography. PBTLs from ten adult patients with allergic eosinophilic gastroenteritis were treated with phytahematoagglutinin (PHA) and Oligs. The supernatants from the cell culture of PBTLs were harvested and subjected to the determination of IL-4 and IL-5 contents by ELISA method.RESULTS: At the concentration of 5μg/mL, Oligs with different Mr had different effects on the secretion of IL-4 and IL-5. The tetrasaccharide with Mr of 1 142, produced by depolymerizing heparin with hydrogen peroxide, had the strongest inhibitory effect on the secretion of IL-4. It decreased the IL-4 content from 375.6±39.2 ng/L (PHA group) to 12.5±5.7 ng/L (P<0.01). The hexasaccharide with Mr of I 806, produced by depolymerizing heparin with βelimination method, had the strongest inhibitory effect on the secretion of IL-5. It decreased the IL-5 content from 289.2±33.4 ng/L (PHA group) to 22.0±5.2 ng/L (P<0.01).CONCLUSION: The inhibitory activity of Oligs on the secretion of IL-4 and IL-5 from human PBTLs closely depends on their molecular structure, and there may be an essential structure to act as an inhibitor. 8High performance Zn-I_(2)battery with acetonitrile electrolyte working at low temperature显示文摘Large scale applications of metal-iodine batteries working at sub-zero degree have been challenged by the limited capacity and performance degradation.Herein,we firstly propose a Zn-I_(2)battery working at low temperature with a carbon composite material/iodine(CCM-I_(2))cathode,a Zn anode and an environmentally tolerable Zn(ClO4)2-ACN electrolyte.The CCM framework with hierarchical porous structure endows a powerful iodine-anchoring to overcome undesirable dissolution of iodine in organic electrolyte,and the Zn(ClO4)2-ACN electrolyte with low freezing point and high ionic conductivity enhances the low temperature performance.The synergies enable an efficiently reversible conversion of Zn-I_(2)battery even at-40℃.Therefore,the resultant Zn-I_(2)battery delivers a high specific capacity of 200 mAh·g^(-1),which is fairly approximate to the theoretical capacity of I_(2)(211 mAh·g^(-1))and a superior cycling stability with minimal capacity fading of 0.00043%per cycle over 7,000 times under 2C at-20℃.Furthermore,even at-40℃,this Zn-I_(2)battery still exhibits a good capacity retention of 68.7%compared to the capacity at 25℃ and a rapid capacity-recover ability with elevating temperature change.Our results distinctly indicate this Zn-I_(2)battery can be 1competent for the practical application under low temperature operation.Chunlai Song Zongshuai Gong Chong Bai Fengshi Cai Zhihao Yuan Xizheng Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1
9Wet Chemical Synthesis of Amorphous Nanomaterials with Well-Defined Morphologies显示文摘CONSPECTUS:Amorphous nanomaterials,with unique structural features such as long-range atomic disorder and nanoscale particle or grain sizes,possess some advantageous properties for a number of materials applications.For example,amorphous vanadium oxide exhibits a record-high cycling stability for supercapacitors.Several synthetic strategies have been developed to produce amorphous nanomaterials,such as physical processing-based approaches including cutting,deposition,and spinning,as well as chemical syntheses by solution or solid state reactions.However,despite the rapid development of amorphous nanomaterials,their morphology is still irregular or primarily sphere-like.The limited morphology control is partially attributed to the lack of preferred growth direction for the amorphous materials.It will be interesting to know whether different morphologies of even amorphous nanomaterials can influence their properties as much as their crystalline counterparts.Wet chemical synthesis,which can usually be carried out under relatively facile reaction conditions,has achieved remarkable success for creating crystalline nanomaterials with well-defined shapes,such as one-dimensional(1D)nanowires,two-dimensional(2D)nanosheets,and three-dimensional(3D)complex structures.However,there are two main obstacles for shape control of amorphous nanomaterials using wet chemical strategies.First,it is difficult to form a stable amorphous state under wet chemical conditions.The amorphous state is metastable in solution according to classic nucleation theory,which is prone to phase transformation to form crystalline state.Second,common morphology control mechanisms for nanocrystals are ultimately relying on the intrinsic directionality of the lattices,which unfortunately is not relevant to the isotropic amorphous nanomaterials.In this Account,we describe how shape control of 1D,2D,and 3D amorphous nanomaterials can be achieved in wet chemical synthesis to create well-defined morphologies,which are based on two main strategies:Blocking agents that can stabilize the amorphous state in solution,and morphology-tunable parameters that can induce directional growth.Discussion on the phase transfer blocking mechanisms includes lattice disordering,controlled hydrolysis,rapid reaction,and ionic exchange,and for morphology control through confinement it includes precursor transformation,templated reactions,interfacial etching,and spatial confinement.In addition,we present examples showing how these well-defined morphology leads to desirable properties in applications of mechanics,energy storage,catalysis,and optics,highlighting their structural-properties relationship.Finally,some perspectives are discussed regarding future research opportunities in the area of amorphous nanomaterials.Hewei Zhao Fengshi Li Shaoxiong Wang Lin Guo 2021Accounts of Materials Research2021,2,9:1

11Reconstructing the food structure of ancient coastal inhabitants from Beiqian village:Stable isotopic analysis of fossil human bone显示文摘The Beiqian site located in Jimo city,Qingdao,a few kilometers from the modern coastline was excavated in 2007,2009 and 2011.A large number of human bones from the early Dawenkou period were unearthed.Through C and N stable isotopic analysis,the food structure of the 'Beiqian' ancestors was reconstructed and the influence of terrestrial and marine resources on their lifestyle was discussed.Based on the δ13C and δ15N stable isotopic values of human bone collagen,the analytical results obtained through a ternary mixed model reveal that the food sources of the Beiqian ancestors included about 44.1% marine species(probably shellfish and fish),34.1% C4 plants(possibly millet),and 21.8% land animals.These results indicate that they lived mainly from fishing and farming,supplemented by hunting or poultry raising.Compared with other sites in the same period,the stable isotope results show that 5000-6000 years ago,the lifestyles of ancestors in the Yangtze River basin,Yellow River basin,Northern coastal area and inland area were very different.The ancestors from the Yangtze River basin focused on rice farming and fishing,whereas the ancestors in the Yellow River basin farmed millet and raised animals.Those in coastal areas relied mostly on farming and marine fishing.WANG Fen FAN Rong KANG HaiTao JIN GuiYun LUAN FengShi FANG Hui LIN YuHai YUAN ShiLing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17:1

20Spiro-based triphenylamine molecule with steric structure as a cathode material for high-stable all organic lithium dual-ion batteries显示文摘Redox p-type organic compounds are promising cathode materials for dual-ion batteries.However,the triphenylamine-based polymers usually with agglomerate and intertwined molecular chain nature limit the maximum reaction of their active sites with large-sized anions.Herein,we demonstrate the application of a small molecule with rigid spirofluorene structu re,namely 2,2’,7,7’-tetrakis(diphenylamine)-9,9’-spirobifluorene(Spiro-TAD),as a cathode material for lithium dual-ion batteries.The inherent sterical structure endows the Spiro-TAD with good chemical stability and large internal space for fast diffusion kinetics of anions in the organic electrolyte.As a result,the Spiro-TAD electrode shows significant insolubility and less steric hindrance,and gives a high actual capacity of 109 mA h g^(-1)(active groups utilization ratio approximately 100%) at 50 mA g^(-1)with a high discharge voltage of 3.6 V(vs.Li+/Li),excellent rate capability(60 mA h g^(-1)at 2000 mA g^(-1)) and extremely stable cycling life(98.4% capacity retention after 1400 cycles at 500 mA g^(-1)) in half cells.Such good electrochemical performance is attributed to the robust and rapid adsorption/desorption of ClO4-anions,which can be proved by the in-situ FTIR and XPS.Moreover,an all-organic lithium dual-ion battery(a-OLDIBs) is constructed using the Spiro-TAD as cathode and 3,4,9,10-Perylenetetracarboxylic diimide(PTCDI) as anode and displays long-term cycling performance of 87.5 mA h g^(-1)after 800 cycles.This study will stimulate further developments in designing all organic battery systems.Liya Huang Zehao Yu Liubin Wang Bin Qin Fengshi Cai Zhihao Yuan Zhiqiang Luo 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,8:0
