1Effect of Organic Ligands on Biological Availability of Inorganic Phosphorus in Soils显示文摘Citrate, oxalate, tartrate and malate were added into soils during the growth period of ryegrass to study the effect of different organic ligands on the release various inorganic P (Pi) fractions in a yellow-brown soil and a paddy soil. The results showed that oxalate was most effective in promoting the release of total Pi in the yellow-brown soil and tartrate in the paddy soil. The dominant Pi fractions released from the yellow-brown soil were calcium phosphate (Ca-P) and aluminum phosphate (Al-P) and those from the paddy soil were iron phosphate (Fe-P) and reductant soluble phosphate (O-P) mobilized by tartrate. Phosphorous-mobilizing capability of organic acids in the yellow-brown soil revealed the following order: oxalate > citrate > malate > tartrate. In the paddy soil, the order was tartrate > citrate ≈ oxalate > malate. It was demonstrated that organic ligands were different in their capabilities of mobilizing Pi and the same organic ligand showed also a discrepancy in mobilizing P in different soils. Although the addition of organic ligands into soils could increase the amount of P taken up by ryegrass, the more uptake of P, however, was not only due to the more release of Pi, but also partly from organic P. 12Tailoring morphology symmetry of bismuth vanadate photocatalysts for efficient charge separation显示文摘Although spatial charge separation between different facets of semiconductor crystals has been recognized as a general strategy in photocatalysis, the vital role of crystal morphology symmetry in charge separation properties still remains elusive. Herein,taking monoclinic bismuth vanadate(BiVO_(4)) as a platform, we found distinct charge separation difference via rationally tailoring the morphology symmetry from octahedral to truncated octahedral crystals. For octahedral BiVO_(4), photogenerated electrons and holes can be separated between edges and quasi-equivalent facets. However, as for truncated octahedral crystals,photogenerated electrons tend to transfer to {010} facets while photogenerated holes prefer to accumulate on {120} facets, thus realizing the spatial separation of photogenerated charge between different facets. Morphology tailoring of BiVO_(4) crystals leads to a significantly improved photogenerated charge separation efficiency and photocatalytic water oxidation activity. The built-in electric field for driving the separation of photogenerated electrons and holes is considered to be modulated by tuning the morphology symmetry of BiVO_(4) crystals. 13Effects of Air-Drying on the Inorganic Phosphorus Forms in Soils显示文摘After 90 days cultivation of five different plants (rye grass, lupin, buckwheat, rape and amaranth) in three soils (Yellowbrown soil, Paddy soil and Red soil), fresh soil samples were collected and inorganic phosphorus (Pi) fractions weremeasured before and after air-drying. The results clearly indicated that the total Pi and their composition differed significantlyamong soil types. The air-drying process increased the total Pi in yellow brown soil and in paddy soil, while decreased thatin red soil. The total Pi could vary to 70% of that before air-drying. The Pi forms in different soils changed to differentextent after air-drying. As to yellow brown soil, Al-P decreased, while O-P and Ca-P increased; as to paddy soil, Al-P andCa-P increased, while Fe-P and O-P remained; as to red soil, Al-P and Fe-P increased, Ca-P remained and O-P reducedobviously. Growth of different plants in soils had effects on Pi forms during the process of air-drying.
