| 2 | Identification of ABA-responsive genes in rice shoots via cDNA macroar- ray显示文摘Phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) was critical for many plant growth and developmental processesincluding seed maturation, germination and response to environmental factors. With the purpose to detectthe possible ABA related signal transduction pathways, we tried to isolate ABA-regulated genes throughcDNA macroarray technology using ABA-treated rice seedling as materials (under treatment for 2, 4, 8 and12 h). Of 6144 cDNA clones tested, 37 differential clones showing induction or suppression for at least onetime, were isolated. Of them 30 and 7 were up- or down-regulated respectively. Sequence analyses revealedthat the putative encoded proteins were involved in different possible processes, including transcription,metabolism and resistance, photosynthesis, signal transduction, and seed maturation. 6 cDNA clones werefound to encode proteins with unknown functions. Regulation by ABA of 7 selected clones relating to signaltransduction or metabolism was confirmed by reverse transcription PCR. In addition, some clones werefurther shown to be regulated by other plant growth regulators including auxin and brassinosteroid, which,however, indicated the complicated interactions of plant hormones. | 4 | Spatial and Temporal Distributions and Sources of Anthropogenic NMVOCs in the Atmosphere of China:A Review显示文摘As the key precursors of O_(3),anthropogenic non-methane volatile organic compounds(NMVOCs)have been studied intensively.This paper performed a meta-analysis on the spatial and temporal variations of NMVOCs,their roles in photochemical reactions,and their sources in China,based on published research.The results showed that both nonmethane hydrocarbons(NMHCs)and oxygenated VOCs(OVOCs)in China have higher mixing ratios in the eastern developed cities compared to those in the central and western areas.Alkanes are the most abundant NMHCs species in all reported sites while formaldehyde is the most abundant among the OVOCs.OVOCs have the highest mixing ratios in summer and the lowest in winter,which is opposite to NMHCs.Among all NMVOCs,the top eight species account for 50%−70%of the total ozone formation potential(OFP)with different compositions and contributions in different areas.In devolved regions,OFP-NMHCs are the highest in winter while OFP-OVOCs are the highest in summer.Based on positive matrix factorization(PMF)analysis,vehicle exhaust,industrial emissions,and solvent usage in China are the main sources for NMHCs.However,the emission trend analysis showed that solvent usage and industrial emissions will exceed vehicle exhaust and become the two major sources of NMVOCs in near future.Based on the meta-analysis conducted in this work,we believe that the spatio-temporal variations and oxidation mechanisms of atmospheric OVOCs,as well as generating a higher spatial resolution of emission inventories of NMVOCs represent an area for future studies on NMVOCs in China. | Fanglin WANG Wei DU Shaojun LV Zhijian DING Gehui WANG | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7: | 4 |

| 7 | Spatial heterogeneity of soil water content in the reversion process of desertification in arid areas显示文摘Sandy soils in arid,rain-fed environments have low and limited water content,which is a principal factor limiting vegetation development,and a key constraint controlling the structure and functions of the ecological systems in arid areas.The spatial heterogeneity of soil water content is a major soil property,and a focus of soil science and hydrology.On the southern edge of the Tengger Desert,sample plots were selected from mobile sand dunes in desertified lands that had been enclosed for 5,15 and 25 years,respectively.This study explored the dynamic and spatial heterogeneity of soil water content in these different layers of soil that were also in the reversion process of desertification.The results showed that the soil water content of the mobile sand dunes was highest when in the initial stages of the reversion process of desertification,while the soil water content in the 0-20 cm,20-40 cm and 40-60 cm layers of soil was 1.769%,3.011%,and 2.967% respectively,presenting a restoring tendency after 25 years of enclosure.There were significant differences,as a whole,in the soil water content among different restoration stages and different soil layers,respectively.Changes in soil water content,in different soil layers,at different restoration stages,exhibited exponential or spherical patterns.The spatial distribution of soil water content exhibited a mosaic patch pattern with obvious spatial heterogeneity.The ratio of the heterogeneity of spatial autocorrelation to gross spatial heterogeneity was greater than 50%.The gross spatial heterogeneity of the 0-20 cm layer of soil improved gradually,while those of the 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm layers improved initially,then weakened in the reversion process of desertification.This study revealed that restoration with sand-binding vegetation reduced soil water content,and increased its spatial heterogeneity in arid areas.However,after 25 years of vegetation-soil system restoration,the soil water content started to increase and its spatial heterogeneity started to weaken.These results will further benefit the understanding of the ecological mechanism between soil water and sand-binding vegetation. | QuanLin MA Fang CHENG YouJun LIU FangLin Wang DeKuai ZHANG HuJia JIN | 2011 | Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4: | 2 |

| 9 | One-step anti-superbug finishing of cotton textiles with dopamine-menthol显示文摘In this work,the one-step stereochemical antimicrobial finishing of cotton textiles(CT)was achieved by the oxidative copolymerization of a dopamine-menthol derivative(DAM)and dopamine(DA).The obtained DAM-modified CT(P(DAM-co-DA)-CT)exhibited broad-spectrum microbial anti-adhesion properties against bacteria(E.coli and P.aeruginosa),including superbugs(MRSA and VREF),and fungi(A.niger,A.flavus,M.racemosus and P.chrysogenum).Because of its unique stereochemical antimicrobial mechanism,the obtained P(DAM-co-DA)-CT is a non-releasing antimicrobial material that causes no skin sensitization and exhibits good biocompatibility.The coating was also found to enhance the UVresistant and mechanical properties of the CT.Furthermore,it displayed durable washing fastness and antimicrobial properties after the endurance of 30 laundering cycles.The observed achievements provide a broader understanding of stereochemical antimicrobial surfaces and endow this method with wider applications. | Jiangqi Xu Zixu Xie Fanglin Du Xing Wang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,10: | 2 |

| 11 | Yielding behavior of triplex medium Mn steel alternated with cooling strategies altering martensite/ferrite interfacial feature显示文摘In this paper, we report the influence of cooling processes on the yielding behavior of a medium Mn steel(MMS) with triplex microstructure, i.e. austenite(γ), ferrite(α) and as-quenched martensite(α’). After the intercritical annealing(IA) at both 725℃ and 750℃, the steel was subjected to the two cooling processes, i.e. air cooling(AC) and water quenching(WQ). It exhibits the discontinuous yielding after the AC following the IA at 750℃ while the continuous yielding after the WQ. Compared with WQ process,both the dilatometry and the microstructural examinations show that the AC process leads to lower Ms temperature, larger retained austenite(RA) fraction and less martensite, the latter is always companied with geometry necessary dislocations(GNDs) generated near the α/α’ interfaces. Considering the complexity of nanosized tri-phases in this steel, the presence of martensite with key features in the resultant specimens was systematically examined by atom probe tomography(APT) on the samples prepared by the specific target lift-out method. The APT results directly revealed the C/Mn co-segregation at the α’/αinterfaces in the AC samples but not in WQ samples. The numerical simulation results further suggest that the segregation of C and Mn at the α’/α interfaces may be due to different mechanisms. We conclude that the yielding of triplex MMS is determined by both the quantity of GNDs generated near theα/α’ interfaces, which increases with martensite fraction, and the extent of their immobilization resulting from the interfacial segregation of solute atoms when the presence of martensite is sufficient. | 12 | Caspase-1 inhibitor Ac-YVAD-CHO attenuates quinolinic acid-induced increases in p53 and apoptosis in rat striatum显示文摘Aim: To study the effects of the caspase-1 inhibitor Ac-YVAD-CHO on quinolinic acid (QA)-induced apoptosis. Methods: Rats were pre-treated with intrastriatal infusion of Ac-YVAD-CHO (2-8 ug) before intrastriatal injection of QA (60 nmol). Striatal total proteins, genomic DNA, and nuclear proteins were isolated. The effects of Ac-YVAD-CHO on QA-induced caspase-1 activity, internucleosomal DNA fragmentation, IkB-α degradation, NF-kB, and AP-1 activation, and increases in p53 protein levels were measured with enzyme assays, agarose gel electrophoresis, electrophoresis mobility shift assays, and Western blot analysis. Results: Pre-treatment with Ac-YVAD-CHO inhibited QA-induced intemucleosomal DNA fragmentation. Ac-YVAD-CHO inhibited QA-induced increases in caspase-1 activity and p53 protein levels, but had no effect on QA-induced IkB-α degradation, NF-kB or AP-1 activation. Conclusion: Caspase-1 is involved in QA-induced p53 upregulation but not IkB-α degradation. | 13 | Digital Channelization Technology for HF Communication Base on Fast Filter Bank显示文摘Channelization typically realized by digital filter banks is an important topic in high frequency(HF) communication and software defined radios(SDR) areas. Channelization has a rigorous requirement for the characteristic of frequency response, e.g., steep transitional band and sharp decay. To address this issue, we investigated the feasibility and implementation of applying fast filter bank(FFB) in channelization in this paper. We analyzed the butterfly structure of FFB similar with fast Fourier transform(FFT), in which prototype sub-filters are cascaded to achieve a low complexity. Hence, it is suitable for designing filter bank with steep transitional band and sharp decay in stop-band. Moreover, we designed a pipelined structure of FFB to achieve a balance between area and performance. | 15 | Ammonia in urban atmosphere can be substantially reduced by vehicle emission control:A case study in Shanghai, China显示文摘To investigate the impact of emission controls on ammonia(NH_(3)) pollution in urban atmosphere, observation on NH_(3)(1 hr interval) was performed in Shanghai before, during and after the 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) event, along with measurements on inorganic ions, organic tracers and stable nitrogen isotope compositions of ammonium in PM_(2.5). NH_(3)during the CIIE period was 6.5±1.0μg/m^(3), which is 41% and 32% lower than that before and after the event, respectively. Such a decrease was largely ascribed to the emission controls in nonagricultural sources, of which contribution for measured NH_(3)in control phase abated by ~20% compared to that during uncontrol period. Molecular compositions of PAHs and hopanes further suggested a dominant role of the reduced vehicle emissions in the urban NH_(3)abatement during the CIIE period.
