1Multiaxial electrospun generation of hollow graphene aerogel spheres for broadb and high-performance microwave absorption显示文摘Although graphene aerogels(GA)have been attracted great attention,the easy-operation and large-scale production of GA are still challenges.Further,most GA have a monolith-like appearance,limiting their application-specific needs.Herein,we highlight graphene aerogel spheres with controllable hollow structures(HGAS)that are delicately designed and manufactured via coaxial electrospinning coupled with freeze-drying and calcination.The HGAS exhibit a spherical configuration at the macroscale,while the construction elements of graphene on the microscale showing an interconnected radial microchannel structure.Further ball-in-ball graphene aerogel spheres(BGAS)are obtained by reference to the triaxial electrospinning technology.The as-prepared spheres possess the controllable integrated conductive networks,leading to the effective dielectric loss and impedance matching thus bringing on high-performance microwave absorption.The as-obtained HGAS shows a minimum reflection loss of-52.7 dB and a broad effective absorption bandwidth(f)of 7.0 GHz with thickness of 2.3 mm.Further,the fe reaches 9.3 GHz for BGAS with thickness of 3.4 mm.Aforementioned superior microwave absorption of HGAS and BGAS confirms combination of multiaxial electrospinning and freeze-drying on the multiscale is an effective strategy for scalable fabrication of advanced microwave.absorbing functional graphene aerogel spheres.Tian Li Dandan Zhi Yao Chen Bing Li Zuowan Zhou Fanbin Meng 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:13
2Inhibition of vascular endothelial growth factor gene expression by T7-siRNAs in cultured human retinal pigment epithelial cells显示文摘Background Retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells play an important role in the occurrence of choroidal neovascularization (CNV). Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) as a positive regulatory growth factor is produced by the RPE in an autocrine or paracrine manner, promoting CNV development. Duplexes of 21 nt RNAs, known as short interfering RNAs (siRNAs), efficiently inhibit gene expression by RNA interference when introduced into mammalian cells. We searched for an efficient siRNA to interfere with VEGF expression in RPE cells and shed light on the treatment of CNV.Methods Human primary RPE (hRPE) cells were cultured and identified. Three pairs of siRNAs were designed according to the sequence of VEGF 1-5 extrons and synthesized by T7 RNA polymerase transcription in vitro. To evaluate the inhibitory activity of T7-siRNAs, hRPE cells were transfected via siPORT Amine. The interfering effect of T7-siRNAs in hRPE cells was examined by semiquantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and immunofluorescence. Results Three pairs of T7-siRNAs synthesized by in vitro transcription with T7 RNA polymerase suppressed VEGF gene expression with efficiency from 65% to 90%. T7-siRNA (B), targeted region at 207 nt to 228 nt and double stranded for 21 nt with 2 nt UU 3’ overhangs, was the most effective sequence tested for inhibition of VEGF expression in hRPE cells. Compared with nontransfected cells, the mean fluorescence in hRPE cells transfected with T7-sRNAs was significantly less (P<0.01). siRNA with a single-base mismatch and ssRNA(+) did not show suppressing effect. 4Wheat straw-derived magnetic carbon foams: In-situ preparation and tunable high-performance microwave absorption显示文摘Recently,biomass-derived three-dimensional (3D) porous carbon materials have been gaining more interest as promising microwave absorbers due to their low cost,vast availability,and sustainability.Here,a novel 3D interconnected porous magnetic carbon foams are in-situ synthesized via a combination of sol-gel and carbonization process with wheat straw as the carbon source and FeCl3·6H2O as the magnetic regulating agent.During the process of foams formation,the lignocelluloses from the steam-exploded wheat straw are converted into interconnected carbon sheet networks with hierarchical porous structures,and the precursor FeCl3·6H2O is converted into magnetic nanoparticles uniformly embedded in the porous carbon foams.The generated magnetic nanoparticles are benefit to enhance the interface polarization and magnetic loss ability to improve the efficient complementarities between the dielectric and magnetic loss,thus increasing the impedance matching.The obtained sample treated at 600 ℃ displays the best microwave absorption (MA) performance.It presents a minimal reflection loss (RL) of-43.6 dB at 7.1 GHz and the effective bandwidth (RL <-10 dB) is 3.3 GHz with the thickness of 4.7 mm.The 3D porous structure,multi-interfaces and the synergy of dielectric loss and magnetic loss make great contribution to the outstanding MA performance.Guangjun Gou Fanbin Meng Huagao Wang Man Jiang Wei Wei Zuowan Zhou 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:9
5Ultrathin flexible electrospun carbon nanofibers reinforced graphene microgasbags films with three-dimensional conductive network toward synergetic enhanced electromagnetic interference shielding显示文摘In recent years,graphene-based composite films have been greatly developed in the field of electromagnetic shielding interference(EMI).However,it is still a huge challenge to prepare graphene-based composite films with excellent mechanical properties,conductivity and electromagnetic shielding properties.In this work,we adopted a facile and effective method by annealing the alkali-treated polyacrylonitrile(aPAN)nanofibers reinforced graphene oxide(GO)composite films at 2000°C to obtain graphene-carbon nanofibers composite films(GCFs).Microscopically,carbon nanofibers(CNFs)were intercalated into the graphene sheets,and microgasbags structure was formed during the heat treatment process.The special structure makes GCFs have superior tensile strength(10.4 MPa)at 5%strain.After repeated folding over1000 times,the films still demonstrate excellent structural integrity and flexibility performance.Interestingly,the graphene-based composite films with 10 wt%a PAN nanofibers exhibit an extremely low density of about 0.678 g/cm^(3)and excellent electrical conductivity of 1.72×10^(5)S/m.Further,an outstanding electromagnetic shielding effectiveness(SE)of 55–57 d B was achieved,and the corresponding value of the specific SE/thickness can reach 67,601–70,059 d B·cm^(2)/g,which is the highest among reported graphenebased shielding materials.The significant electromagnetic shielding performance is due to the synergistic enhancement effect brought by the excellent conductivity of carbon nanofibers and graphene,the formed effective conductive network and the microgasbags structure.Electromagnetism simulation further clarified that the underlying mechanism should be mainly attributed to the conduction loss and multiple reflections caused by the special structure of GCFs.This work will provide new solutions for low density,high flexibility and excellent electromagnetic shielding properties materials in the next generation of foldable and wearable electronics.Likui Zhang Yao Chen Qian Liu Wenting Deng Yaoqun Yue Fanbin Meng 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,16:8
6Review on Fabrication Methods of in situ Metal Matrix Composites显示文摘This paper deals with a series of novel processing techniques based on the in situ production of metal matrix composites (MMCs). In situ techniques involve a chemical reaction resulting in the formation of a very fine and thermodynamically stable reinforcing ceramic phase within a metal matrix. As a result, this provides thermodynamic compatibility at the matrix-reinforcement interface. The reinforcement surfaces are also likely to be free of contamination and, therefore, a stronger matrix-dispersion bond can be achieved. 7Multifunctional aramid nanofibers reinforced RGO aerogels integrated with high-efciency microwave absorption, sound absorption and heat insulation performance显示文摘Although lightweight and three-dimensional(3 D) graphene aerogels are highly desirable for microwave absorption(MA) due to their high porosity,specific surface area,and 3 D conductive network,it still remains a large challenge to construct a multifunctional application framework to quickly adapt to the complex practical environment,making it to be efficiently applied in a variety of complex situation.Herein,multifunctional aramid nanofibers(ANFs) reinforced reduced graphene oxide aerogels(RGO@ANF) have been achieved by in-situ gel reaction,freeze-drying,and thermal annealing processes.The introduced ANFs in RGO aerogels can prevent the graphene sheets from over-stacking and enhance the connectivity of cell walls,thus leading to excellent compression resistance,MA,sound absorption,and thermal insulation performance.Under 70% strain,the maximum compressive stress of RGO@ANF aerogel reaches78.8 kPa,and reversible compressibility with reliable resistance to fatigue for 100 compressive cycles at20% strain.Further,the RGO@ANF aerogel exhibit a minimum reflection loss(RL_(min)) of-56.5 dB and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB) of 7.0 GHz at a thickness of 2.8 mm,basically covering the X and Ku bands.Moreover,the hybrid aerogel exhibited excellent sound absorption with an average absorption coefficient> 0.56 at 2-6 kHz and good thermal insulation performance with low thermal conductivity of about 49.18 mW m-1K-1.The integrated graphene aerogels with such multifunctional performances hold a great promise for applications such as MA,sound absorption,and heat insulation.Qian Liu Liang Tang Jinzhe Li Yao Chen Zhengkang Xu Jiatong Li Xinyu Chen Fanbin Meng 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,35:4

10Investigation of therapeutic modalities of G719X, an uncommon mutation in the EGFR gene in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective G719 X is the most frequently seen uncommon mutation of the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) gene, which is a point mutation at exon 18 with three common subtypes, G719 A/G719 C/G719 S. This study explored the clinicopathological characteristics of the G719 X mutation and investigated the efficacy of EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKI) treatment and chemotherapy in patients with the G719 X mutation; the survival rate after these different treatment modalities were then analyzed in order to provide evidence for clinical treatment.Methods Clinical data of 41 patients with the G719 X mutation admitted in the Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University from September 2014 to July 2018, were collected and the EGFR mutations were detected by amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction(ARMS-PCR). The clinicopathological characteristics of the G719 X mutation were analyzed, and the relationship among the G719 X mutation, the efficacy of different treatment modalities, and the progression-free survival(PFS) was analyzed. Results Of the 41 cases, 24(58.5%) were G719 X single mutations and 17(41.5%) were compound mutations, including G719 X/S768 I, G719 X/L861 Q, G719 X/19 del, and G719 X/c-Met compound mutation. The objective response rate(ORR) of first-line EGFR-TKI therapy was 50%(6/12), the disease control rate(DCR) was 83.3%(10/12), and the median PFS(mPFS) was 9 months. After resistance to EGFR-TKI in the previous treatment, the ORR(71.4%, 5/7) and DCR(100%, 7/7) were still high following EGFR-TKIs, by an mPFS of 8 months. The ORR of chemotherapy was 33.3%(2/6), the DCR was 100%(6/6), and the mPFS was 6 months. Conclusion G719 X is an uncommon mutation of the EGFR gene and is sensitive to many EGFR-TKIs. It can be treated with the second-or third-generation EGFR-TKIs after resistance to the first-generation EGFR-TKIs. 19Sequence Comparison of MHCClassⅡβ(Exon 2)and Phylogenetic Relation-ship Between Poultry and Mammalian显示文摘A fragment spanning over exon 2 and intron 2 of major histocompatibility complex B-LB Ⅱ genes was amplified using PCR, cloned and sequenced in 13 individuals from eight Chinese indigenous chicken breeds and one introduced breed. Another 41 sequences of MHC class Ⅱ β from ten vertebrate species were cited from the NCBI GenBank. Thirteen new B-LB Ⅱ alleles were found in the chicken breeds sampled. Alignment of the exon 2 sequences revealed 91.1-97.8% similarity to each other within the chickens sampled, and the chickens shared 84.1-87.0% homology to Phasianus colchicus, 78.5-81.5% similarity to Coturnix japonica. The sequences in poultry showed 62.6-68.1% identity to HLA-DRB1, 50-61.5% similarity to DQB (HLA-, SLA- and H2-BB), 53.7-60% to HLA-DPB and 53.3-57.8% similarity to HLA-DOB. The frequency of nonsynonymous substitutions of nucleotide was higher than that of synonymous substitutions, and the frequencies of nonsynonymous and synonymous substitutions in poultry B-LB Ⅱ genes were lower than those observed in mammalian DRB1 and DQB1 genes. The deduced amino acid sequences of MHC class Ⅱ β1 domain exhibited extreme difference in conversed region and variable region patterns among the various species, but the two conserved cysteines forming disulfide-bond were shown consistent in poultry with that in mammalian species; and the carbohydrate attachment site was found more conserved in chicken, Homo sapiens, Bos taurus, Ovis aries and Capra hircus than in Sus scrofa and rodent animals. Compared with exon 2 of DQB1 genes of Homo sapiens, ruminant species and Sus scrofa, the differentia that the deletion of six nucleotides at position195 to 200 of exon 2 of DQB1 genes, and insertion of three nucleotides at position 247 to 249 of the exon 2 existed in rodent species were found, which led to the absence of three AA residues at position 65, 66, and 67 within β1 domain of DQB1 chain, and the insertion of one AA residue at position 85. The difference of the deletion of six nucleotides at position 72 to 77 of exon 2 of DPB1 genes was observed with Homo sapiens DQB1, which caused absence of three AA residues at position 24, 25, and 26 of β1 domain of DPB1 chain. The phylogenetic tree revealed that the B-LB Ⅱ sequences from poultry are not orthologous to the class Ⅱ MHC β-chain genes of mammalian species.
