1Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. 2Vision-based Stabilization of Nonholonomic Mobile Robots by Integrating Sliding-mode Control and Adaptive Approach显示文摘Vision-based pose stabilization of nonholonomic mobile robots has received extensive attention.At present,most of the solutions of the problem do not take the robot dynamics into account in the controller design,so that these controllers are difficult to realize satisfactory control in practical application.Besides,many of the approaches suffer from the initial speed and torque jump which are not practical in the real world.Considering the kinematics and dynamics,a two-stage visual controller for solving the stabilization problem of a mobile robot is presented,applying the integration of adaptive control,sliding-mode control,and neural dynamics.In the first stage,an adaptive kinematic stabilization controller utilized to generate the command of velocity is developed based on Lyapunov theory.In the second stage,adopting the sliding-mode control approach,a dynamic controller with a variable speed function used to reduce the chattering is designed,which is utilized to generate the command of torque to make the actual velocity of the mobile robot asymptotically reach the desired velocity.Furthermore,to handle the speed and torque jump problems,the neural dynamics model is integrated into the above mentioned controllers.The stability of the proposed control system is analyzed by using Lyapunov theory.Finally,the simulation of the control law is implemented in perturbed case,and the results show that the control scheme can solve the stabilization problem effectively.The proposed control law can solve the speed and torque jump problems,overcome external disturbances,and provide a new solution for the vision-based stabilization of the mobile robot.CAO Zhengcai YIN Longjie FU Yili 2013Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,1:4
3Neuroprotective effect of Longshengzhi capsule following permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion in rats显示文摘Objective:Longshengzhi capsule(LSZC)is an optimized preparation based on the traditional Chinese Medicine formula Buyanghuanwu Decoction(BYHWD),and is approved by the China Food and Drug Administration for treating stroke-induced disability and vascular diseases.Herein,we examined the pharmacodynamics,anti-apoptotic and anti-oxidant actions,and potential mechanisms of action of LSZC following stroke in rats.Methods:Permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)was used as an ischemic stroke model.LSZC was administered intragastrically.We examined the survival rate,bodyweight,and neurological deficits in stroke rats.Brain infarct size was determined by 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining.Brain pathology was examined using hematoxylin and eosin staining,Nissl staining,and TdT-mediated dUTP Nick-End Labeling staining.Malondialdehyde,catalase,superoxide dismutase,and glutathione levels were examined by commercial kits.Expression of Nrf2,heme oxygenase-1,Bax,Bcl-2,cleaved caspase-3,and caspase-3 proteins in brain tissue was measured by Western blot.Results:LSZC markedly improved the survival rate and bodyweight,and reduced infarct volume and neurological deficit scores,in MCAO stroke rats.LSZC also significantly attenuated oxidative stress,as indicated by decreased expression of malondialdehyde,and upregulation of Nrf2,heme oxygenase-1,catalase,superoxide dismutase,and glutathione.Moreover,LSZC significantly decreased apoptosis,including a decrease in Bax and cleaved caspase-3 expression,and an increase in Bcl-2,as well as a reduction in numbers of apoptotic neurons.Conclusion:LSZC treatment is neuroprotective against ischemic stroke,potentially via reducing oxidative stress and apoptosis.The Nrf2 and apoptotic signaling pathways may play important roles in the antioxidant and anti-apoptotic actions of LSZC.Xiaoli Sun Shuzhen Guo Yong Wang Bangze Fu Junjie Liu Yili Zhang Ruocong Yang Chun Li Jian Gao Li Gao Wei Wang 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1:4

12Ultrasound-guided prostate percutaneous intervention robot system and calibration by informative particle swarm optimization显示文摘Applying a robot system in ultrasound-guided percutaneous intervention is an effective approach for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.The limited space for robot manipulation restricts structure volume and motion.In this paper,an 8-degree-of-freedom robot system is proposed for ultrasound probe manipulation,needle positioning,and needle insertion.A novel parallel structure is employed in the robot system for space saving,structural rigidity,and collision avoidance.The particle swarm optimization method based on informative value is proposed for kinematic parameter identification to calibrate the parallel structure accurately.The method identifies parameters in the modified kinematic model stepwise according to parameter discernibility.Verification experiments prove that the robot system can realize motions needed in targeting.By applying the calibration method,a reasonable,reliable forward kinematic model is built,and the average errors can be limited to 0.963 and 1.846 mm for insertion point and target point,respectively.Jiawen YAN Bo PAN Yili FU 2022Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2022,17,1:0

14Mechanical regulation of bone regeneration during distraction osteogenesis显示文摘Distraction osteogenesis(DO)is a mechanobiological process of regenerating bone tissue by tension stress.DO is used clinically to lengthen bones or to treat critical size bone defects.Although DO provides satisfactory results in many cases,the prolonged period of treatment remains a major challenge that needs to be overcome.Various attempts have been devoted to accelerating bone regeneration during DO.One common approach is manipulation of the applied mechanical loading by altering distraction strategies.In this article,we reviewed relevant in vivo animal studies exploring the effects of changing mechanical environments,by varying distraction parameters(e.g.,rate and frequency)or adding compression loading,on bone regeneration in DO.We further presented how the mechanically-regulated bone regeneration process during DO could be simulated by in silico models incorporating mechano-regulatory tissue differentiation rules.A comprehensive review of those in vivo and in silico studies may not solely provide important references for development of improved DO protocols in clinic,but also promote a deeper understanding of the mechanobiological mechanism of bone regeneration.Ruisen Fu Yili Feng Youjun Liu Haisheng Yang 2021Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2021,,3:0

16Development of a novel hand-eye calibration for intuitive control of minimally invasive surgical robot显示文摘Robotic-assisted surgical system has introduced a powerful platform through dexterous instrument and hand-eye coordination intuitive control.The knowledge of laparoscopic vision is a crucial piece of information for robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery focusing on improved surgical outcomes.Obtaining the transformation with respect to the laparoscope and robot slave arm frames using hand-eye calibration is essential,which is a key component for developing intuitive control algorithm.We proposed a novel two-step modified dual quaternion for hand-eye calibration in this study.The dual quaternion was exploited to solve the hand-eye calibration simultaneously and powered by an iteratively separate solution.The obtained hand-eye calibration result was applied to the intuitive control by using the hand-eye coordination criterion.Promising simulations and experimental studies were conducted to evaluate the proposed method on our surgical robot system.We extensively compared the proposed method with state-of-the-art methods.Results demonstrate this method can improve the calibration accuracy.The effectiveness of the intuitive control algorithm was quantitatively evaluated,and an improved hand-eye calibration method was developed.The relationship between laparoscope and robot kinematics can be established for intuitive control.Yanwen SUN Bo PAN Yili FU 2022Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2022,17,3:0
17General closed-form inverse kinematics for arbitrary three-joint subproblems based on the product of exponential model显示文摘The inverse kinematics problems of robots are usually decomposed into several Paden–Kahan subproblems based on the product of exponential model. However, the simple combination of subproblems cannot solve all the inverse kinematics problems, and there is no common approach to solve arbitrary three-joint subproblems in an arbitrary postural relationship. The novel algebraic geometric (NAG) methods that obtain the general closed-form inverse kinematics for all types of three-joint subproblems are presented in this paper. The geometric and algebraic constraints are used as the conditions precedent to solve the inverse kinematics of three-joint subproblems. The NAG methods can be applied in the inverse kinematics of three-joint subproblems in an arbitrary postural relationship. The inverse kinematics simulations of all three-joint subproblems are implemented, and simulation results indicating that the inverse solutions are consistent with the given joint angles validate the general closed-form inverse kinematics. Huaque III minimally invasive surgical robot is used as the experimental platform for the simulation, and a master–slave tracking experiment is conducted to verify the NAG methods. The simulation result shows the inverse solutions and six sets given joint angles are consistent. Additionally, the mean and maximum of the master–slave tracking experiment for the closed-form solution are 0.1486 and 0.4777 mm, respectively, while the mean and maximum of the master–slave tracking experiment for the compensation method are 0.3188 and 0.6394 mm, respectively. The experiments results demonstrate that the closed-form solution is superior to the compensation method. 18A SAA-based Novel Hybrid Intelligent Evolutionary Algorithm for Job Shop Scheduling Problem显示文摘Through systematic analysis and comparison of the common features of SAA, ES and traditional LS (local search) algorithm, a new hybrid strategy of mixing SA, ES with LS, namely HIEA (Hybrid Intelligent Evolutionary Algorithm), is proposed in this paper. Viewed as a whole, the hybrid strategy is also an intelligent heuristic searching procedure. But it has some characteristics such as generality, robustness, etc., because it synthesizes advantages of SA, ES and LS, while the shortages of the three methods are overcome.
