| 2 | Highly Efficient and Stable Hydrogen Production in All pH Range by Two-Dimensional Structured Metal-Doped Tungsten Semicarbides显示文摘Transition-metal-doped tungsten semicarbide nanosheets(M-doped W_(2)C NSs,M=Fe,Co,and Ni)have been synthesized through carburization of the mixture of tungsten trioxide,polyvinylpyrrolidone,and metal dopant.Te nanosheets grow directly on the W mesh and have the lateral dimension of several hundreds of nm to a few�m with a thickness of few tens nm.It is demonstrated that the M-doped W_(2)C NSs exhibit superior electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Impressively,the Nidoped W_(2)C NSs(2 at%Ni)with the optimized HER activity show extremely low onset overpotentials of 4,9,and 19 mV and modest Tafel slopes of 39,51,and 87 mV dec−1 in acidic(pH=0),neutral(pH=7.2),and basic(pH=14)solutions,respectively,which is close to the commercial Pt/C catalyst.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations also demonstrate that the Gibbs free energy for H adsorption of Ni-W_(2)C is much closer to the optimal valueG_(H∗)=-0.073 eV as compared to-0.16 eV of W_(2)C.Furthermore,nearly 100%Faradaic efciency and long-term stability are obtained in those environments.Tis realization of highly tolerant metal semicarbide catalyst performing on par with commercial Pt/C in all range of pH ofers a key step towards industrially electrochemical water splitting. | Edison H.Ang Khang N.Dinh Xiaoli Sun Ying Huang Jun Yang Zhili Dong Xiaochen Dong Wei Huang Zhiguo Wang Hua Zhang Qingyu Yan | 2019 | Research2019,,1: | 7 |
| 3 | Progresses in Sustainable Recycling Technology of Spent Lithium-Ion Batteries显示文摘The number of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is steadily increasing in order to meet the ever-growing demand for sustainable energy and a high quality of life for humankind.At the same time,the resulting large number of LIB waste certainly poses safety hazards if it is not properly disposed of and will seriously harm the environment due to its inherent toxicity due to the use of toxic substances.Moreover,the consumption of many scarce precious metal resources is behind the mass production of batteries.In the light of severe environmental,resources,safety and recycling problems,recycling spent LIBs have become an essential urgently needed action to achieve sustainable social development.This review therefore critically analyses the value and the need for recycling of spent LIBs from a variety of resources and the environment.A range of existing technologies for recycling and reusing spent LIBs,such as pretreatment,pyrometallurgy,hydrometallurgy,and direct recycled methods,is subsequently summarized exclusively.In addition,the benefits and problems of the methods described above are analyzed in detail.It also introduces recycling progress of other LIB components,such as anodes,separators,and electrolytes,as well as the high-value cathode.Finally,the prospects for recycling LIBs are addressed in four ways(government,users,battery manufacturers,and recyclers).This review should contribute to the development of the recycling of used LIBs,particularly in support of industrialization and recycling processes. | Kaidi Du Edison Huixiang Ang Xinglong Wu Yichun Liu | 2022 | Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4: | 7 |
| 4 | 基于有界信任模型的地铁突发事件信息传播显示文摘地铁突发事件一直是社会关注的热点问题,事件中的信息传播和控制往往也会决定突发事件的严重程度.本文以地铁突发事件为背景,考虑了地铁突发事件的时间有限性和空间有限性特征,在传统有界信任模型的基础上,引入了局部沟通和有限理性两个因素,并根据突发事件发生的时间考虑了地铁停靠前和停靠后两个不同的阶段,建立了地铁突发事件信息传播模型.通过大量仿真实验,发现在地铁突发事件中,局部沟通和有限理性都会导致乘客观点剧烈波动,使得整个系统长时间处于极不稳定的状态;而乘客密度对乘客的观点收敛起正向作用,密度越大,观点越容易收敛.而在列车停靠后,乘客越向车门方向集中,观点波动幅度越大,并在最后急剧收敛成一致,但疏散速率越高,反而会减缓乘客观点的波动幅度和收敛速度.本文的研究结果为地铁突发事件中的现象分析提供了理论依据,对地铁突发事件信息的控制具有重要意义. | 赵海峰 孙艳秋 Edison TSE | 2017 | 系统工程理论与实践2017,37,12: | 5 |
| 5 | Sol-Gel Coating with 3-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane as Precursor for Corrosion Protection of Aluminium Metal显示文摘Sol—gel coatings offer a number of advantages over other methods of protection for metallic materials.In the present work,3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane(MPTS) was used as the precursor for sol—gel coating on aluminium metal.The gelation of MPTS sol—gel was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) studies.The formed film was found to be stable up to 350 ℃ as evident from thermogravimetric analysis.X-ray diffraction study and scanning electron microscopy supported the formation of MPTS coating on aluminium surface while the characterization of the coating was done by FT-IR studies.The corrosion inhibition potential of the sol—gel coatings on metal in 3.5%(w/v) of NaCI solution was assessed as a function of different concentrations of MPTS using electrochemical polarization and impedance measurements.The corrosion inhibition efficiency was found to increase with increasing MPTS concentration.The results of the study unravel the use of MPTS as a precursor in the formation of sol—gel coating over aluminium surface so as to protect the metallic surface from corrosion in neutral environment. | Rajendran Babhu Vignesh Thomas Nesakumar Jebakumar Immanuel Edison Mathur Gopalakrishnan Sethuraman | 2014 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,8: | 4 |
| 6 | Is there a place for serum laminin determination in patients with liver disease and cancer?显示文摘Laminin is a glycoprotein which has an important role in the mechanism of fibrogenesis and is,thus,related to hepatic fibrosis in addition to presenting increased levels in several types of neoplasias. However,its determination is not routinely considered in the study of hepatic fibrosis. In this review,the authors critically comment on the role of this glycoprotein compared to other markers of fibrosis through non-invasive procedures(Fibroscan). They also consider its clinical investigational potential and believe that the continuation of these investigations might contribute to a better understanding of the fibrogenic mechanism,which could in turn either lead to the identification of patients at risk of developing fibrosis non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) or at least be used as an indicator for hepatic biopsy in such patients.
