1Research and application of enterprise resource planning system for foundry enterprises显示文摘PPDB issues-four aspects of current management issues of foundry enterprises are discussed in this paper,including Production Management,Process Control,Duration Monitoring and Business Intelligence Data Analysis.Also a whole Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) solution for foundry enterprises is proposed.The solution contains many models,four of which are used to solve the PPDB issues.These are called SPDB models,which separately are the Single-piece management model(based on casting lifecycle),Process management model(based on task-driven technology),Duration monitoring model(based on surplus period),and Business intelligence data analysis model(based on data mining).An ERP system for foundry enterprises,named HZERP,was researched and developed,and applied to a sand casting company of single piece and small batch production.Qualitatively and quantitatively comparing the application effect before and after implementing the HZERP system,the result demonstrated that the foundry ERP system based on the SPDB models can help metal casting enterprises achieve the single-piece management,better regulate the production processes,improve production and delivery management,shorten the production cycle,reduce costs,and speed up the capital turnover to a large extent.Zhou Jianxin Ji Xiaoyuan Liao Dunming Guan Bifeng Guan Bihong Pang Shengyong Tang Hongtao 2013China Foundry2013,10,1:16
2Using finite difference method to simulate casting thermal stress显示文摘Thermal stress simulation can provide a scientific reference to eliminate defects such as crack,residual stress centralization and deformation etc.,caused by thermal stress during casting solidification.To study the thermal stress distribution during casting process,a unilateral thermal-stress coupling model was employed to simulate 3D casting stress using Finite Difference Method(FDM),namely all the traditional thermal-elastic-plastic equations are numerically and differentially discrete.A FDM/FDM numerical simulation system was developed to analyze temperature and stress fields during casting solidification process.Two practical verifications were carried out,and the results from simulation basically coincided with practical cases.The results indicated that the FDM/FDM stress simulation system can be used to simulate the formation of residual stress,and to predict the occurrence of hot tearing.Because heat transfer and stress analysis are all based on FDM,they can use the same FD model,which can avoid the matching process between different models,and hence reduce temperature-load transferring errors.This approach makes the simulation of fluid flow,heat transfer and stress analysis unify into one single model.Liao Dunming Zhang Bin Zhou Jianxin Liu Ruixiang Chen Liliang 2011China Foundry2011,8,2:6
3Recent developments of InteCAST software and its applications on special castings显示文摘with the development of computer technology, foundry CAE technology has made rapid progress. Commercialsoftware packages of casting process simulation, therefore, have become more and more practical. This paper introducesboth the recent developments and some applications of InteCAST software, a commercial numerical simulation softwarepackage for foundry industry, with more than 120 customers all over the world. The function modules of lnteCAST8.0 andsome new techniques, such as uneven mesh technology for mold filling simulation and numerical mouse technology fordata visualization, were introduced. Several applications on special castings such as investment casting, low pressure diecasting, and high pressure die casting, were given. 4Biocatalytic desymmetrization of 3-substituted glutaronitriles by nitrilases. A convenient chemoenzymatic access to optically active (S)-Pregabalin and (R)-Baclofen显示文摘Desymmetrization of prochiral 3-substituted glutaronitriles offers a new approach to access(S)-Pregabalin and(R)-Baclofen. A number of nitrilases from diverse sources were screened with 3-isobutylglutaronitriles(1a) or 3-(4′-chlorophenyl)glutaronitriles(1b) as the substrate. Some nitrilases were found to catalyze the desymmetric hydrolysis of 1a and 1b to form optically active 3-(cyanomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid(2a) and 3-(4′-chlorophenyl)-4-cyanobutanoic acid(2b) with high enantiomeric excesse(ee), respectively. This cannot be achieved using traditional chemical hydrolysis. Among them, AtNIT3 generated(R)-2b, whereas BjNIT6402 and HsNIT produced the opposite(S)-enantiomer with high conversions and ee values. Not only the nitrilases showed different activities and stereoselectivities toward these 3-substituted glutaronitriles, the 3-substituent of the substrates also exerted great effect on the enzyme activity and stereoselectivity.(S)-2a and(S)-2b were prepared with high yields and ee values using BjNIT6402 and HsNIT as the biocatalysts, respectively. A straightforward Curtius rearrangement of(S)-2a and(S)-2b, followed by the acidic hydrolysis, afforded(S)-Pregabalin and(R)-Baclofen. 5Phase-field simulation of dendritic solidification using a full threaded tree with adaptive meshing显示文摘Simulation of the microstructure evolution during solidifi cation is greatly benefi cial to the control of solidifi cation microstructures. A phase-fi eld method based on the full threaded tree(FTT) for the simulation of casting solidifi cation microstructure was proposed in this paper, and the structure of the full threaded tree and the mesh refi nement method was discussed. During dendritic growth in solidifi cation, the mesh for simulation is adaptively refi ned at the liquid-solid interface, and coarsened in other areas. The numerical results of a threedimension dendrite growth indicate that the phase-fi eld method based on FTT is suitable for microstructure simulation. Most importantly, the FTT method can increase the spatial and temporal resolutions beyond the limits imposed by the available hardware compared with the conventional uniform mesh. At the simulation time of 0.03 s in this study, the computer memory used for computation is no more than 10 MB with the FTT method, while it is about 50 MB with the uniform mesh method. In addition, the proposed FTT method is more effi cient in computation time when compared with the uniform mesh method. 8A study on fast post-processing massive data of casting numerical simulation on personal computers显示文摘When castings become complicated and the demands for precision of numerical simulation become higher,the numerical data of casting numerical simulation become more massive.On a general personal computer,these massive numerical data may probably exceed the capacity of available memory,resulting in failure of rendering.Based on the out-of-core technique,this paper proposes a method to effectively utilize external storage and reduce memory usage dramatically,so as to solve the problem of insufficient memory for massive data rendering on general personal computers.Based on this method,a new postprocessor is developed.It is capable to illustrate filling and solidification processes of casting,as well as thermal stess.The new post-processor also provides fast interaction to simulation results.Theoretical analysis as well as several practical examples prove that the memory usage and loading time of the post-processor are independent of the size of the relevant files,but the proportion of the number of cells on surface.Meanwhile,the speed of rendering and fetching of value from the mouse is appreciable,and the demands of real-time and interaction are satisfied.Chen Tao Liao Dunming Pang Shenyong Zhou Jianxin 2013China Foundry2013,10,5:1

20The clinical comparison of simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty in treatment of osteoarthritis显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the risk and efficacy of simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty(TKA) in treatment of osteoarthritis when compared with sequential bilateral TKA and unilateral TKA. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on 162 patients who underwent TKA from 2003 to 2006. The analyses were adjusted for demographics, preexisting medical conditions, and osteoar- thritis diagnosis. Results:Patients undergoing simultaneous bilateral TKA had significantly lower amounts of blood loss, shorter surgical time, shorter hospitalization time, less hospital charges and lower rates of perioperative complications compared with patients undergoing sequential bilateral TKA. No significant difference was found with regard to postoperative complications between the simultaneous bilateral and the unilateral TKA groups. Patient’s knee range of motion and the postoperative Hospital for Special Surgery scores(HSS) were similar for the three groups.
