1Associations between the physical environment and park-based physical activity:A systematic review显示文摘Background:With an increase in the evidence for the associations between park-based physical activity(PA)and physical environments(especially park and neighborhood environments),researchers face an important challenge in interpreting and summarizing the evidence to develop environ?mental change interventions.An updated review is needed to better inform policymaking and environmental interventions.The current study aimed to systematically review the research on the associations of park-based PA with park and neighborhood environmental characteristics.Methods:We targeted English peer-reviewed articles from 5 electronic databases using keywords related to park-based PA,park environments,and neighborhood environments.Of the 4071 identified papers,25 studies published between 2008 and 2016 met all the eligibility criteria and were included in this review.Results:The characteristics of physical environment that received consistent support included paths/trails,lighting,and incivilities(e.g.,broken glasses and litter).Mixed findings were revealed for 6 park environmental factors(unspecified active facilities,playgrounds and skating areas,fit?ness stations,picnic areas,greenness,and park size)and 2 neighborhood environmental factors(park density and park proximity).Conclusion:It can be concluded that paths/trails,lighting,and incivilities are 3 key physical environmental attributes of park-based PA.Given the inconsistent findings on park and neighborhood environmental factors,more robust designs such as prospective investigation are required.Ru Zhang Hagen Wulff Yanping Duan Petra Wagner 2019Journal of Sport and Health Science2019,8,5:7
2Community-Based User Domain Model Collaborative Recommendation Algorithm显示文摘Collaborative Filtering (CF) is a commonly used technique in recommendation systems. It can promote items of interest to a target user from a large selection of available items. It is divided into two broad classes: memory-based algorithms and model-based algorithms. The latter requires some time to build a model but recommends online items quickly, while the former is time-consuming but does not require pre-building time. Considering the shortcomings of the two types of algorithms, we propose a novel Community-based User domain Collaborative Recommendation Algorithm (CUCRA). The idea comes from the fact that recommendations are usually made by users with similar preferences. The first step is to build a user-user social network based on users' preference data. The second step is to find communities with similar user preferences using a community detective algorithm. Finally, items are recommended to users by applying collaborative filtering on communities. Because we recommend items to users in communities instead of to an entire social network, the method has perfect online performance. 3High-temperature superconductivity in sulfur hydride evidenced by alternating-current magnetic susceptibility显示文摘The search for high-temperature superconductivity is one of the research frontiers in physics. In the sulfur hydride system, an extremely high T_c(~200 K) has been recently developed at pressure. However, the Meissner effect measurement above megabar pressures is still a great challenge. Here, we report the superconductivity identification of sulfur hydride at pressure, employing an in situ alternating-current magnetic susceptibility technique. We determine the superconducting phase diagram, finding that superconductivity suddenly appears at 117 GPa and Tcreaches 183 K at 149 GPa before decreasing monotonically with increasing pressure. By means of theoretical calculations, we elucidate the variation of T_c in the low-pressure region in terms of the changing stoichiometry of sulfur hydride and the further decrease in Tcowing to a drop in the electron–phonon interaction parameter λ. 4Microglia activation mediated by toll-like receptor-4 impairs brain white matter tracts in rats显示文摘Microglia activation and white matter injury coexist after repeated episodes of mild brain trauma and ischemic stroke. Axon degeneration and demyelination can activate microglia; however, it is unclear whether early microglia activation can impair the function of white matter tracts and lead to injury. Rat corpus callosum(CC) slices were treated with lipopolysaccharide(LPS) or LPS + Rhodobacter sphaeroides(RS)-LPS that is a toll-like receptor 4(TLR-4) antagonist. Functional changes reflected by the change of axon compound action potentials(CAPs) and the accumulation of β-amyloid precursor protein(β-APP) in CC nerve fibers. Microglia activation was monitored by ionized calcium binding adaptor-1 immunofluorescent stain, based on well-established morphological criteria and paralleled proportional area measurement. Input-output(I/O) curves of CAPs in response to increased stimuli were significantly downshifted in a dose-dependent manner in LPS(0.2, 0.5 and 1.0μg/mL)-treated slices, implying that axons neurophysiological function was undermined. LPS caused significant β-APP accumulation in CC tissues,reflecting the deterioration of fast axon transport. LPS-induced I/O curve downshift and P-APP accumulation were significantly reversed by the pre-treatment or co-incubation with RS-LPS. RS-LPS alone did not change the I/O curve.The degree of malfunction was correlated with microglia activation, as was shown by the measurements of proportional areas. 5Effect of current emission abatement strategies on air quality improvement in China:A case study of Baotou,a typical industrial city in Inner Mongolia显示文摘The national Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan required significant decreases in PM_(2.5) levels over China.To explore more effective emission abatement strategies in industrial cities,a case study was conducted in Baotou to evaluate the current national control measures.The total emissions of SO_2,NO_X,PM_(2.5) and NMVOC(non-methane volatile organic compounds) in Baotou were 211.2 Gg,156.1 Gg,28.8 Gg,and 48.5 Gg,respectively in 2013,and they would experience a reduction of 30.4%,26.6%,15.1%,and 8.7%,respectively in 2017 and 39.0%,32.0%,24.4%,and 12.9%,respectively in2020.The SO_2,NO_Xand PM_(2.5) emissions from the industrial sector would experience a greater decrease,with reductions of 37%,32.7 and 24.3%,respectively.From 2013 to 2020,the concentrations of SO_2,NO_2,and PM_(2.5) are expected to decline by approximately 30%,10% and 14.5%,respectively.The reduction rate of SNA(sulfate,nitrate and ammonium)concentrations was significantly higher than that of PM_(2.5) in 2017,implying that the current key strategy toward controlling air pollutants from the industrial sector is more powerful for SNA.Although air pollution control measures implemented in the industrial sector could greatly reduce total emissions,constraining the emissions from lower sources such as residential coal combustion would be more effective in decreasing the concentration of PM_(2.5) from 2017 to 2020.These results suggest that even for a typical industrial city,the reduction of PM_(2.5) concentrations not only requires decreases in emissions from the industrial sector,but also from the low emission sources.The seasonal variation in sulfate concentration also showed that emission from coal-burning is the key factor to control during the heating season.Xionghui Qiu Lei Duan Siyi Cai Qian Yu Shuxiao Wang Fahe Chai Jian Gao Yanping Li Zhaoming Xu 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7:2
6Experimental and density functional theory computational evaluation of poly(N-vinyl caprolactam-co-butyl methacrylate) kinetic hydrate inhibitors显示文摘Natural gas hydrate inhibitor has been serving the oil and gas industry for many years. The development and search for new inhibitors remain the focus of research. In this study, the solution polymerization method was employed to prepare poly(N-vinyl caprolactam-co-butyl methacrylate)(P(VCap-BMA)), as a new kinetic hydrate inhibitor(KHI). The inhibition properties of P(VCap-BMA) were investigated by tetrahydrofuran(THF) hydrate testing and natural gas hydrate forming and compared with the commercial KHIs. The experiment showed that PVCap performed better than copolymer P(VCap-BMA). However,low doses of methanol or ethylene glycol are compounded with KHIs. The compounding inhibitors show a synergistic inhibitory effect. More interesting is the P(VCap-BMA)-methanol system has a better inhibitory effect than the PVCap-methanol system. 1% P(VCap-BMA) + 5% methanol presented the best inhibiting performance at subcooling 10.3 °C, the induction time of natural gas hydrate was 445 min.Finally, the interaction between water and several dimeric inhibitors compared by natural bond orbital(NBO) analyses and density functional theory(DFT) indicated that inhibitor molecules were able to form the hydrogen bond with the water molecules, which result in gas hydrate inhibition. 11Control Effect and Cost Evaluation of Different Sex Pheromones and Trapping Lamps against Spodoptern litura,Helicoverpa assulta and Helicoverpa armigera in Tobacco显示文摘[Objective]The aim was to study the control effect of different sex pheromones and trapping lamps against main pests in tobacco. [Method]Control effect of sex pheromone of different matrix lures and Jiaduo trapping lamp against Spodoptern litura,Helicoverpa assulta and Helicoverpa armigera in tobacco in Tengchong of Yunnan were determined and compared,and the control cost was evaluated. [Result] The use of insect sex pheromones and insecticidal light traps had certain effect against S. litura and H. armiger. The trapping effect of sex pheromone traps was better than that of Jiaduo trapping lamp,and the PVC matrix lure had better performance than rubber matrix lure,which had strongest capturing capacity,continuous control effect and significant effort against S. litura. The traps with different settled densities and hanging heights also had different trapping effect against S. litura and H. armiger,and the hanging height of 100 - 150 cm from ground was the best; as the cost was considered,the cost of the area with low density of traps was the lowest,which was reduced by over 44% than conventional chemical control area. 14Exploring the regulatory effect of stacked layers on moiréexcitons in twisted WSe_(2)/WSe_(2)/WSe_(2)homotrilayer显示文摘Moirésuperlattices in van der Waals structures have emerged as a powerful platform for studying the novel quantum properties of two-dimensional materials.The periodic moirépatterns generated by these structures lead to the formation of flat mini-bands,which alter the electronic energy bands of the material.The resulting flat electronic bands can greatly enhance strong correlative interactions between electrons,leading to the emergence of exotic quantum phenomena,including moiréphonons and moiréexcitons.While extensive research has been conducted on the exotic quantum phenomena in twisted bilayers of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),and the regulatory effect of stacked layers on moiréexcitons remains unexplored.In this study,we report the fabrication of a twisted WSe_(2)/WSe_(2)/WSe_(2) homotrilayer with two twist angles and investigate the influence of stacked layers on moiréexcitons.Our experiments reveal multiple moiréexciton splitting peaks in the twisted trilayer,with moirépotential depths of 78 and 112 meV in the bilayer and trilayer homostructures,respectively.We also observed the splitting of the moiréexcitons at 90 K,indicating the presence of a deeper moirépotential in the twisted trilayer.Moreover,we demonstrate that stacked layers can tune the moiréexcitons by manipulating temperature,laser power,and magnetic field.Our results provide a new physical model for studying moirésuperlattices and their quantum properties,which could potentially pave the way for the development of quantum optoelectronics.Haihong Zheng Biao Wu Chang-Tian Wang Shaofei Li Jun He Zongwen Liu Jian-Tao Wang Ji-an Duan Yanping Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
15Enhanced valley polarization in WSe_(2)/YIG heterostructures via interfacial magnetic exchange effect显示文摘Exploiting the valley degrees of freedom as information carriers provides new opportunities for the development of valleytronics.Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)with broken space-inversion symmetry exhibit emerging valley pseudospins,making them ideal platforms for studying valley electronics.However,intervalley scattering of different energy valleys limits the achievable degree of valley polarization.Here,we constructed WSe_(2)/yttrium iron garnet(YIG)heterostructures and demonstrated that the interfacial magnetic exchange effect on the YIG magnetic substrate can enhance valley polarization by up to 63%,significantly higher than that of a monolayer WSe_(2)on SiO_(2)/Si(11%).Additionally,multiple sharp exciton peaks appear in the WSe_(2)/YIG heterostructures due to the strong magnetic proximity effect at the magnetic-substrate interface that enhances exciton emission efficiency.Moreover,under the effect of external magnetic field,the magnetic direction of the magnetic substrate enhances valley polarization,further demonstrating that the magnetic proximity effect regulates valley polarization.Our results provide a new way to regulate valley polarization and demonstrate the promising application of magnetic heterojunctions in magneto-optoelectronics.Haihong Zheng Biao Wu Chang-Tian Wang Shaofei Li Jun He Zongwen Liu Jian-Tao Wang Guoqiang Yu Ji-An Duan Yanping Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
16Bird specimen number linked with species trait and climate niche breadth显示文摘Biological specimens are fundamental for taxonomy and flora/fauna research.More importantly,they also play crucial roles in recording environmental impacts on morphology and behavior,which is vital for biodiversity research and conservation.However,there are few systematic studies on the patterns and drivers of bird specimen number at regional scales.This study is the first attempt to examine the relationships between bird specimen number and species traits as well as climate niche breadth in China,aiming to answer two questions:1)how do species’temperature niche breadth and precipitation niche breadth influence specimen number?2)which trait is most associated with bird specimen number?The associations between bird specimen number and explanatory variables were examined using ordinary least squares,generalized linear models,phylogenetic generalized linear mixed models,and multiple comparisons.The results showed that Muscicapidae was the family with the highest specimen number,and Passeriformes was the order with the highest specimen number.Bird specimen number significantly increased with larger temperature niche breadth and precipitation niche breadth.Specimen number was also positively associated with geographic range size,habitat specificity,hunting vulnerability and clutch size,but negatively associated with body size.These findings suggest that future bird specimen collection should pay more attention to birds with limited ecological niches,large body sizes,and small clutch sizes.This research enhances the use of bird specimen data to study and preserve biodiversity.Xiaoyu Duan Xiongwei Huang Jingya Zhang Shuo Lv Gang Song Yanping Wang Gang Feng 2024Avian Research2024,15,1:0
17Neurofilament 200 expression in a rat model of complete spinal cord injury following growth-associated protein-43 treatment显示文摘BACKGROUND:Growth-associated protein-43(GAP-43) expression in the nervous system has been demonstrated to promote neural regeneration,neuronal growth and development,as well as synaptic reconstruction.Neurofilament 200(NF200) expression could reflect degree of injury and repair in injured spinal axons. OBJECTIVE:To observe NF200 expression changes in a rat model of complete spinal cord injury following GAP-43 treatment and to explore the effects of GAP-43 following spinal cord injury. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Histology and Embryology of Kunming Medical University between March 2007 and October 2008. MATERIALS:GAP-43 and GAP-43 antibody were provided by Beijing Boao Biology,China;mouse anti-rat NF200 antibody was purchased from Chemicon,USA. METHODS:Female,8-week-old,Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned into three groups following complete spinal cord injury,with 20 animals in each group:GAP-43 antibody,GAP-43,and model groups.In addition,each group was subdivided into four subgroups according to sampling time after modeling,i.e.,3-,5-,9-,and 15-day groups,with 5 rats in each group.GAP-43 antibody or GAP-43 was injected into injury sites of the spinal cord,5μg/0.2 mL,respectively,twice daily for three consecutive days,followed by three additional days of injection,once daily.The model group did not receive any treatment following injury. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:NF200 expression in the damaged spinal area at different stages was detected by immunohistochemistry;lower limb motion function following injury was evaluated using the Basso,Beattie and Bresnahan(BBB) locomotor rating scale. RESULTS:NF200 expression was significantly reduced in the GAP-43 antibody group,compared with GAP-43 and model groups,at 3 and 5 days after spinal cord injury(P<0.05).In addition,the model group expressed significantly less NF200 than the GAP-43 group(P<0.05).BBB scores from the GAP-43 antibody and model groups were remarkably less than the GAP-43 group(P<0.05).At 9 and 15 days of injury after drug withdrawal,NF200 expression was increased in the GAP-43 antibody group,and NF200 expression and BBB scores in the GAP-43 antibody and GAP-43 groups were significantly greater than in the model group(P<0.05).In particular,the GAP-43 group exhibited greater BBB scores than the GAP-43 antibody group at day 9(P<0.05). 18Edge localized modes suppression via edge E × B velocity shear induced by RF sheath of ion cyclotron resonance heating in EAST显示文摘The control of large edge localized modes(ELMs) is a critical issue for the successful operation of future burning plasma devices,such as the international thermonuclear experimental reactor(ITER) and China fusion engineering test reactor(CFETR). In this paper, we present a new active and effective means of ELM suppression using ion cyclotron resonant heating(ICRH) on the experimental advanced superconducting tokamak(EAST). We obtained the key role of the external E × B velocity shear near the pedestal top and the scrape-off-layer(SOL) induced by the RF sheath potential of ICRH in ELM suppression. The experimental results showed a positive correlation between the RF sheath and the E × B shear rate in SOL. BOUT++ simulations indicate that increased E × B velocity shear rates in the pedestal and SOL regions promote ELM suppression;thereby, supporting the experimental observations on EAST.
