| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 3 | Characteristics and Morbidity of the Tuberculosis Epidemic--China,2019显示文摘Introduction:The year 2019 was crucial for the implementation of China’s National“13th 5-Year”Tuberculosis(TB)Control Plan.We conducted this study to evaluate the characteristics and progress towards controlling TB in China.Methods:We collected and analyzed the pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)data of China between January 1,2015 and December 31,2019 from the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS).Results:In 2019,there were 775,764 PTB cases reported in NNDRS,of which 349,307 were bacteriologically-confirmed(Bac+)cases.The PTB case notification rate(CNR)was 55.55 per 100,000,and the Bac+CNR was 25.01 per 100,000.From 2018 to 2019,the number of PTB cases fell by 6.3%,but the number of Bac+cases increased by 25.9%.The annual decrease in the rate of reported PTB was 3.4% from 2015 to 2019.The 5 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)with the highest PTB CNR were as follows:Tibet(182.38 per 100,000),Xinjiang(169.05 per 100,000),Qinghai(134.53 per 100,000),Guizhou(102.51 per 100,000),and Hainan(90.22 per 100,000).The rate of reported PTB was 74.84 per 100,000 for males and 35.40 per 100,000 for females.There were 8,116 cases(1.0%)among children aged 0–14 years,and 197,730 cases(25.5%)among adults aged 65 years and over.Of the reported cases,470,932 were farmers,which was the most common occupation at 60.7%.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:The TB epidemic has decreased dramatically year by year.Most PTB cases were in the central and western regions of China,and the high-risk groups were farmers and elderly people aged 65 years and over. | Wei Chen Hui Zhang Xin Du Tao Li Yanlin Zhao | 2020 | China CDC weekly2020,2,12: | 13 |
| 4 | Effects of Yishengukang decoction on expression of bone-specific alkaline phosphatase,carboxyterminal propeptide of typeⅠprocollagen,and carboxyterminal cross-linked telepeptide of typeⅠcollagen in malignant tumor patients with bone metastasis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Yishengukang decoction on the expression of the metabolic bone markers, bone-specific alkaline phosphatase(BAP), carboxyterminal propeptide of type Ⅰ procollagen(PICP), and carboxyterminal cross-linked telepeptide of type Ⅰ collagen(ICTP), in cancer patients with bone metastasis.METHODS: Patients(n = 180) were divided into three groups:(a) bone metastasis patients treated with Yishengukang and pamidronate disodium injection(treatment group, n = 60);(b) bone metastasis patients treated with pamidronate disodium injection alone(control group, n = 60);(c) cancer patients without metastatic bone lesion(non-bone metastasis group, n = 60). Serum levels of the metabolic markers BAP, PICP, and ICTP were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay pre- and post-therapy.RESULTS: A significant decrease in serum BAP level was observed in the treatment group compared with the control group. However there were no significant differences in serum levels of PICP and ICTP before or after treatment compared with the control group.CONCLUSION: Yishengukang decoction combined with pamidronate disodium injection reduced serum BAP level to a greater extent that pamidronate disodium injection alone. | 11 | Small molecule SMU-CX24 targeting toll-like receptor 3 counteracts inflammation:A novel approach to atherosclerosis therapy显示文摘Toll-like receptor 3(TLR3),as an important pattern recognition receptor(PRR),dominates the innate and adaptive immunity regulating many acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.Atherosclerosis is proved as an inflammatory disease,and inflammatory events involved in the entire process of initiation and deterioration.However,the contribution of TLR3 to atherosclerosis remains unclear.Herein,we identified the clinical relevance of TLR3 upregulation and disease processes in human atherosclerosis.Besides,activation of TLR3 also directly led to significant expression of atherogenic chemokines and adhesion molecules.Conversely,silencing TLR3 inhibited the uptake of oxLDL by macrophages and significantly reduced foam cell formation.Given the aberrance in TLR3 functions on atherosclerosis progression,we hypothesized that TLR3 could serve as novel target for clinical atherosclerosis therapy.Therefore,we developed the novel ellipticine derivative SMU-CX24,which specifically inhibited TLR3(IC_(50)=18.87±2.21 nmol/L).In vivo,atherosclerotic burden was alleviated in Western diet fed ApoE^(−/−)mice in response to SMU-CX24 treatment,accompanying notable reductions in TLR3 expression and inflammation infiltration within atherosclerotic lesion.Thus,for the first time,we revealed that pharmacological downregulation of TLR3 with specific inhibitor regenerated inflammatory environment to counteract atherosclerosis progression,thereby proposing a new strategy and probe for atherosclerosis therapy. | Xiaohong Cen Baoqu Wang Yuqing Liang Yanlin Chen Yu Xiao Shaohua Du Kutty Selva Nandakumar Hang Yin Shuwen Liu Kui Cheng | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9: | 2 |
