1The value and limitation of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization in preventing recurrence of resected hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the value and limitation of postoperative transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in preventing recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS: In the first group, 987 postoperative patients with HCC, who did not have any evidence of recurrence in the first preventative TACE but were found to have recurrence at different times during the follow-up survey, were analyzed. In the second group, 643 postoperative patients with HCC had no TACE for compared study. To study the relationship between the recurrence time and the number of TACE treatments was analyzed. RESULTS: The 6-, 12-, and 18-mo recurrence rates in the first and second groups were 22.2% (210 cases) vs 61.6% (396 cases), 78.0% (770 cases) vs74.7% (480 cases) and 88.6% (874 cases) vs80.1% (515 cases). There were significant differences between the recurrence rates of the two groups at 6 mo (P<0.0001).CONCLUSION: The principal role of TACE after HCC operation is to suppress, detect early and treat micrometastasis. It has a good effect of preventing recurrence of HCC in 6 mo, but such an effect is less satisfactory in a longer period. 3Theoretical mean-variance relationship of IP network traffic based on ON/OFF model显示文摘Mean-variance relationship (MVR),nowadays agreed in power law form,is an important function. It is currently used by traffic matrix estimation as a basic statistical assumption. Because all the existing papers obtain MVR only through empirical ways,they cannot provide theoretical support to power law MVR or the definition of its power exponent. Furthermore,because of the lack of theoretical model,all traffic matrix estimation methods based on MVR have not been theoretically supported yet. By observing both our laboratory and campus network for more than one year,we find that such an empirical MVR is not sufficient to describe actual network traffic. In this paper,we derive a theoretical MVR from ON/OFF model. Then we prove that current empirical power law MVR is generally reasonable by the fact that it is an approximate form of theoretical MVR under specific precondition,which can theoretically support those traffic matrix estimation algorithms of using MVR. 4Adjustment of lipiodol dose according to tumor blood supply during transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for large hepatocellular carcinoma by multidetector helical CT显示文摘AIM: To work out an indMdualized lipiodol dose in transcabheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) for large hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) according to its blood supply evaluated by CT.METHODS: One hundred patients with large HCC (more than 8 cm in diameter) were studied by multidetector helical CT. Patterns of blood supply of HCC were divided into sufficient blood supply, poor blood supply, mixed blood supply and arteriovenous (A-V) shunt. The dose of ultrafluid lipiodol was determined by diameter and blood supply type of HCC. Patients were divided into two groups (50 cases each): lipiodol perfusion group and iodized oil perfusion group according to tumor diameter and the blood supply type of tumor.RESULTS: The confirmation and effective rates were 82%,84% in the first group and 36%, 46% in the second group (P<0.01).CONCLUSION: A relatively individualized lipiodol dose may be determined according to the blood supply pattern and the tumor diameter by CT imaging.Hong-YanCheng YiShou XiangWang Ai-MinXu DongChen Yu-ChenJia 2004World Journal of Gastroenterology2004,10,18:8
5Experimental research on Phanerochaete chrysosporium as coal microbial flocculant显示文摘The flocculation effect of the Phanerochaete chrysosporium on the coal slurry were studied by orthogonal experimental method in this study.The results of research show that the P.chrysosporium has a good effect on flocculating coal slurry.The optimum combination of the experimental is the P.chrysosporium,which is cultured in 2 days,mixed with 2 mL coagulant and 2 mL broth.The flocculant is a broken liquid with pH value of 6.The hightest flocculation ratio is 93.5%.The result of FTIR shows that the biological extraction of P.chrysosporium contains a lot of acidic polysaccharides that has the effect on flocculation.Microbial flocculant molecules and particles of coal slurry could be flocculated by‘‘absorption bridge’’.Zhang Dongchen Hou Zhixiang Liu Zhiyong Wang Tao 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,4:8
6Effect of temperature on anoxic metabolism of nitrites to nitrous oxide by polyphosphate accumulating organisms显示文摘Temperature is an important physical factor, which strongly influences biomass and metabolic activity. In this study, the effects of temperature on the anoxic metabolism of nitrite(NO-2) to nitrous oxide(N2O) by polyphosphate accumulating organisms, and the process of the accumulation of N2O(during nitrite reduction), which acts as an electron acceptor, were investigated using 91% ± 4% Candidatus Accumulibacter phosphatis sludge. The results showed that N2O is accumulated when Accumulibacter first utilize nitrite instead of oxygen as the sole electron acceptor during the denitrifying phosphorus removal process. Properties such as nitrite reduction rate, phosphorus uptake rate, N2O reduction rate, and polyhydroxyalkanoate degradation rate were all influenced by temperature variation(over the range from 10 to 30°C reaching maximum values at 25°C). The reduction rate of N2O by N2O reductase was more sensitive to temperature when N2O was utilized as the sole electron acceptor instead of NO2, and the N2O reduction rates, ranging from 0.48 to 3.53 N2O-N/(hr·g VSS), increased to 1.45 to 8.60 mg N2O-N/(hr·g VSS). The kinetics processes for temperature variation of 10 to 30°C were(θ1 = 1.140–1.216 and θ2= 1.139–1.167). In the range of 10°C to 30°C, almost all of the anoxic stoichiometry was sensitive to temperature changes. 7Support Vector Machines for Cloud Detection over Ice-Snow Areas显示文摘In polar regions, cloud and underlying ice-snow areas are difficult to distinguish in satellite images because of their high albedo in the visible band and low surface temperature of ice-snow areas in the infrared band. A cloud detection method over ice-snow covered areas in Antarctica is presented. On account of different texture features of cloud and ice-snow areas, five texture features are extracted based on GLCM. Nonlinear SVM is then used to obtain the optimal classification hyperplane from training data. The experiment results indicate that this algorithm performs well in cloud detection in Antarctica, especially for thin cirrus detection. Furthermore, when images are resampled to a quarter or 1/16 of the full size, cloud percentages are still at the same level, while the processing time decreases exponentially.CHEN Gang E Dongchen 2007Geo-Spatial Information Science2007,10,2:6

9Mass change study on Arctic glacier Pedersenbreen, during 1936-1990-2009显示文摘Pedersenbreen is a small polythermal valley glacier, located in Svalbard, which has been one of the two glaciers monitored by Chinese Arctic expedition members since 2004. This study estimates its area and volume and analyzes its change during 1936-1990-2009, using field collected GPS/GPR data in 2009 and historical topographic maps published by the Norwegian Polar Institute. We have found that Pedersenbreen is just like many other valley glaciers in Svalbard, having experienced a significant recession since the end of Little Ice Age in the early 20th century. The glacier tongue has retreated more than 0.6 km, while ice volume has decreased by approximately 13%. The overall thinning rate of Pedersenbreen has shown acceleration during the recent decades. Further analysis shows that the ice tongue in the downstream area of Pedersenbreen is melting at the highest rate, while a simultaneous accumulation occurred in the upstream. 11Chlorine-anion doping induced multi-factor optimization in perovskites for boosting intrinsic oxygen evolution显示文摘The oxygen evolution reaction(OER) plays a crucial role in many electrochemical energy technologies,and creating multiple beneficial factors for OER catalysis is desirable for achieving high catalytic efficiency.Here,we highlight a new halogen-chlorine(Cl)-anion doping strategy to boost the OER activity of perovskite oxides.As a proof-of-concept,proper Cl doping at the oxygen site of LaFeO3(LFO) perovskite can induce multiple favorable characteristics for catalyzing the OER,including rich oxygen vacancies,increased electrical conductivity and enhanced Fe-O covalency.Benefiting from these factors,the LaFeO2.9-δCl0.1(LFOCl) perovskite displays significant intrinsic activity enhancement by a factor of around three relative to its parent LFO.This work uncovers the effect of Cl-anion doping in perovskites on promoting OER performance and paves a new way to design highly efficient electrocatalysts.Yinlong Zhu Qian Lin Zhenbin Wang Dongchen Qi Yichun Yin Yu Liu Xiwang Zhang Zongping Shao Huanting Wang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1:2
12Integrated Wireless Communication System Using MANET for Remote Pastoral Areas of Tibet显示文摘To reduce the network deployment cost and provide voice, message and low rate data services in remote pastoral areas of Tibet effectively, an integrated wireless communication system utilizing MANET(Mobile Ad hoc Network) is proposed. The sparse mobile devices, assisted with the solar-powered multi-functional standing stations mainly on networking maintenance and routing arrangement, self-organize into a MANET. The topology of the standing stations is designed for networking robust and to simplify the routing method and energy strategy. Then in the OMNe T++(Objective Modular Network Test bed in C++) simulation, the energy consumption is analysis while adjusting routing with the different energy status of the standing stations. 14A heuristic algorithm for cube packing with time schedule显示文摘Packing problem has been proved to be an NP-hard problem. Many algorithms such as simulation annealing algorithm, genetic algorithm and other heuristic algorithms have been proposed to solve twodimensional and three-dimensional packing problem. To solve the cube packing problem with time schedule, this paper first introduces some concepts such as packing level, space distance and average neighbor birth order and then proposes a greedy algorithm. The algorithm tries every feasible corner greedily to calculate the space utilization, packing level, space distance, average neighbor birth order of this placement, and chooses the best placement according to these criteria. Theoretical analysis indicates that the time complexity of this algorithm is O(A2B2C2T 2n5). The experiments show that the average space utilization of non-guillotine cutting test cases is 98.81%, and the average space utilization of guillotine cutting test cases achieves 99.87%. Furthermore, optimal solutions of more than half cases are achieved by this algorithm. 18Operando Converting BiOCl into Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) for Efficient Electrocatalytic Reduction of Carbon Dioxide to Formate显示文摘Bismuth-based materials(e.g., metallic, oxides and subcarbonate) are emerged as promising electrocatalysts for converting CO_(2) to formate. However, Bio-based electrocatalysts possess high overpotentials, while bismuth oxides and subcarbonate encounter stability issues. This work is designated to exemplify that the operando synthesis can be an effective means to enhance the stability of electrocatalysts under operando CO_(2)RR conditions. A synthetic approach is developed to electrochemically convert Bi^(O)Cl into Cl-containing subcarbonate(Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y)) under operando CO_(2)RR conditions. The systematic operando spectroscopic studies depict that BiOCl is converted to Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) via a cathodic potential-promoted anion-exchange process. The operando synthesizedBi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) can tolerate-1.0 V versus RHE, while for the wet-chemistry synthesized pure Bi_(2)O_(2)CO_(3),the formation of metallic Bio occurs at-0.6 V versus RHE. At-0.8 V versus RHE, Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) can readily attain a FEHCOO-of 97.9%,much higher than that of the pure Bi_(2)O_(2)CO_(3)(81.3%). 19Progress in Chinese Antarctic geodetic remote sensing显示文摘This paper summarizes the progress of the Chinese Antarctic expedition in geodetic remote sensing. It describes the systems for continuous satellite navigation and positioning, and the tide gauges that have been established at the Zhongshan and Great Wall stations in Antarctica. Advances in the investigation of plate motion, the gravity field, and sea level change as well as the application of GPS in atmospheric studies are reported. Details of the movements of ice sheets and glaciers, distributions of blue ice and ice crevasses, and mass balance studies based on remote sensing techniques are presented. The use of field, satellite, and photogrammetric data to produce topographic maps is described. Finally, the prospects for further Antarctic surveying and mapping are discussed.
