2Seasonal variations and size distributions of water-soluble ions in atmospheric aerosols in Beijing, 2012显示文摘The characteristics of water-soluble ions in airborne particulate matter in Beijing were investigated using ion chromatography. The results showed that the total concentrations of ions were 83.7 ± 48.9 μg/m3 in spring, 54.0 ± 17.0 μg/m3 in summer, 54.1 ± 42.9 μg/m3 in autumn, and 88.8 ± 47.7 μg/m3 in winter, respectively. Furthermore, out of all the ions, NO3-,SO42-and NH4+accounted for 81.2% in spring, 78.5% in summer, 74.6% in autumn, and 76.3%in winter. Mg2+and Ca2+were mainly associated with coarse particles, with a peak that ranged from 5.8 to 9.0 μm. Na+, NH4+and Cl-had a multi-mode distribution with peaks that ranged from 0.43 to 1.1 μm and 4.7 to 9.0 μm. K+, NO3-, and SO42-were mainly associated with fine particles, with a peak that ranged from 0.65 to 2.1 μm. The concentrations of Na+, K+,Mg2+, Ca2+, NH4+, Cl-, NO3-and SO42-were 2.69, 2.32, 1.01, 4.84, 16.9, 11.8, 42.0, and 44.1 μg/m3 in particulate matter(PM) on foggy days, respectively, which were 1.4 to 7.3 times higher than those on clear days. 4Size-resolved aerosol water-soluble ions at a regional background station of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, North China显示文摘The characteristics of water-soluble ions in size-resolved particulate matter were investigated usingion chromatography at Shangdianzi,a regional background station of Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei.Seasonal total concentrations of ions(Na^+,Mg^(2+),K^+,Ca^(2+),NH_4^+,Cl^-,SO_4^(2-) and NO_3^-) were75.5±52.9 μg/m^3 in spring,26.5±12.3μg/m^3 in summer,22.7±20.4μg/m^3 in autumn,and31.1±23.9 μg/m^3 in winter,respectively.The secondary ions(NO_3^-,SO_4^(2-) and NH_4^+),mainly associated with fine particles,accounted for 84.2%in spring,82.1%in summer,81.5%in autumn and 76.3%in winter of all ions.Strong correlations were found between NH_4^+ and SO_4^(2-)(r=0.95,p<0.01) as well as NH_4^+ and NO_3^-(r=0.90,p<0.01) in fine particles;while in coarse particles,correlations between Mg^(2+) and NO_3^-(r=0.80,p<0.01),and Ca^(2+) and NO_3^-(r=0.85,p<0.01) were found.The concentrations of Na^+,K^+,Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),NH_4^+,Cl^-,NO_3^-,and SO_4^(2-) were 2.02,0.81,0.36,1.65,9.58,4.01,18.9,and 18.4 μg/m^3 in particulate matter from southeast-derived air masses,which were typically 1.58-3.37 times higher than in northwest trajectories.Thus,concentrations of water-soluble ions at this background station were heavily influenced by regional transport of serious pollution derived from biomass burning,coal combustion,industrial and vehicle exhaust emissions from Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei.Yongjie Yang Rui Zhou Yue Yu Yan Yan Yan Liu Yi'an Di Dan Wu Weiqi Zhang 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5:16

6Promising high-thermal-conductivity substrate material for high-power electronic device:silicon nitride ceramics显示文摘High-thermal-conductivity silicon nitride ceramic substrates are indispensable components for nextgeneration high-power electronic devices because of their excellent mechanical properties and high thermal conductivities, which make them suitable for applications in complex and extreme environments. Here, we present an overview of the recent developments in the preparation of high-thermal-conductivity silicon nitride ceramics. First,the factors affecting the thermal conductivity of silicon nitride ceramics are described. These include lattice oxygen and grain boundary phases, as well the oxygen content of the crystal lattice, which is the main influencing factor.Then, the methods to prepare high-thermal-conductivity silicon nitride ceramics are presented. Recent work on the preparation of high-thermal-conductivity silicon nitride is described in detail, including the raw materials used and the forming and sintering processes. Although great progress has been made, the development of a high-quality,low-cost fabrication process remains a challenge. 7Impact factors of fractal analysis of porous structure显示文摘Characterization of pore structure is one of the key problems for fabrication and application research on porous materials. But, complexity of pore structure makes it difficult to characterize pore structure by Euclidean geometry and traditional experimental methods. Fractal theory has been proved effective to characterize the complex pore structure. The box dimension method based on fractal theory was applied to characterizing the pore structure of fiber porous materials by analyzing the electronic scanning microscope (SEM) images of the porous materials in this paper. The influences of image resolution, threshold value, and image magnification on fractal analysis were investigated. The results indicate that such factors greatly affect fractal analysis process and results. 8Evolution of secondary phase particles during deformation of Al-5Ti-1B master alloy and their effect on α-Al grain refinement显示文摘Addition of Al-5Ti-1B alloy to molten aluminum alloys can refine α-Al grains effectively and thereby improve their strength and toughness. TiAl_3 and TiB_2 in Al-5Ti-1B alloy are the main secondary-phase particles for refinement, while the understanding on the effect of their sizes on α-Al grain refinement continues to be fragmented. Therefore, Al-5Ti-1B alloys with various sizes and morphologies of the secondary-phase particles were prepared by equal channel angular pressing(ECAP). Evolution of the secondary-phase particles during ECAP process and their impact on α-Al grain refinement were studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope(SEM). Results show that during the ECAP process, micro-cracks firstly appeared inside TiAl_3 particles and then gradually expanded, which resulted in continuous refinement of TiAl_3 particles. In addition, micro-distribution uniformity of TiB_2 particles was improved due to the impingement of TiAl_3 particles to TiB_2 clusters during deformation. Excessively large sizes of TiAl_3 particles would reduce the number of effective heterogeneous nucleus and thus resulted in poor grain refinement effectiveness. Moreover, excessively small TiAl_3 particles would reduce inhibitory factors for grain growth Q and weaken grain refinement effectiveness. 9Interactions and Biological Activity of Rare Earth Perchlorate Complexes with Alanine and Imidazole显示文摘The interactions of nine rare earth perchlorate complexes with alanine and imidazole were studied in methanol. The general formulae of these compounds are RE(Ala) 2Im(ClO 4) 3· n H 2O(RE=Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Yb) and La(Ala) 3Im(ClO 4) 3·H 2O, respectively. The composition and structure of the prepared compounds were determined by the chemical analysis, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, UV, FS spectroscopy, X ray powder diffraction, 1H NMR and solubility. The thermal decomposition processes of these complexes were studied on the basis of TG DTG. 10Effects of Hydrogen on Behaviour of Low Cycle Fatigue of 2.25Cr-1Mo Steel显示文摘The effects of hydrogen atoms on behaviour of low cycle fatigue of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel have been investigated in present work. The results indicate that the cyclic softening rate and low cycle fatigue life are respectively increased and reduced remarkably by hydrogen atoms. In addition, hydrogen atoms make the original stress amplitude of low cycle fatigue increase, which is because of the drag effect of hydrogen atoms on the moving dislocations. Analyses using electron microscopy show that hydrogen atoms accelerate crack initiation of low cycle fatigue from inclusion and transfer the source of low cycle fatigue crack from the surface of specimen to the inclusion, which results in the marked decrease of low cycle fatigue life. The increase of cyclic softening rate for hydrogen charged specimen is due to hydrogen atoms accelerating the initiating and growing of microvoids from the secondary phase particles in the steel. 11Foliar modifications induced by inhibition of polar transport of auxin显示文摘The effects of auxin polar transport inhibitors, 9-hydroxy-fluorene-9-carboxylic acid (HFCA); 2, 3, 5-triiodobenzoic acid (TIBA) and trans-cinnamic acid (CA)on leaf pattern formation were investigated with shoots formed from cultured leaf explants of tobacco and cultured pedicel explants of Orychophragmus violaceus, and the seedlings of tobacco and Brassica chinensis. Although the effective concentration varies with the inhibitors used, all of the inhibitors induced the formation of trumpet-shaped and/or fused leaves. 12MEF2C promotes M1 macrophage polarization and Th1 responses显示文摘The polarization of macrophages to the M1 or M2 phenotype has a pivotal role in inflammation and host defense;however,the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.Here,we show that myocyte enhancer factor 2 C(MEF2C)is essential for regulating M1 macrophage polarization in response to infection and inflammation.Global gene expression analysis demonstrated that MEF2C deficiency in macrophages downregulated the expression of M1 phenotypic markers and upregulated the expression of M2 phenotypic markers.MEF2C significantly promoted the expression of interleukin-12 p35 subunit(Il12a)and interleukin-12 p40 subunit(Il12b).Myeloid-specific Mef2c-knockout mice showed reduced IL-12 production and impaired Th1 responses,which led to susceptibility to Listeria monocytogenes infection and protected against DSS-induced IBD in vivo.Mechanistically,we showed that MEF2C directly activated the transcription of Il12a and Il12b.These findings reveal a new function of MEF2C in macrophage polarization and Th1 responses and identify MEF2C as a potential target for therapeutic intervention in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.Xibao Zhao Qianqian Di Han Liu Jiazheng Quan Jing Ling Zizhao Zhao Yue Xiao Han Wu Zherui Wu Wengang Song Huazhang An Weilin Chen 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,4:4

14Research progress on aging of organic pollutants in geosorbents:a review显示文摘Geosorbents are the main host of anthropogenic organic pollutants and play a vital role in their fate and transport in the natural environment.Soil and sediment are the most common and abundant geosorbents in the natural environment;their interactions with organic pollutants,especially sorption and desorption processes,have been extensively studied from the perspectives of thermodynamics and kinetics.Recently,the aging of organic pollutants in geosorbents has drawn increased attention,leading to an improved understanding of interactions between organic pollutants and geosorbents and informing remediation criteria.Aging has been deemed important in accurately assessing ecologic and health risks of organic pollutants,and both positive and negative impacts have been reported in studies of natural and artificial sorbents.This paper summarizes recent research progress on organic pollutant aging in geosorbents,including related mechanism research,influence factors,bioavailability assessments,and biological and physicochemical remediation of aged organic pollutants.We also discuss issues in the current research and bring forward suggestions for future study.Xianjin An Baohua xiao Xinyue Di Hui Dong Haiming Tang 2017Acta Geochimica2017,36,1:3

16Hydrological Impacts of Climate Change on Streamflow of Dongliao River Watershed in Jilin Province,China显示文摘The impacts of future climate change on streamflow of the Dongliao River Watershed located in Jilin Province,China have been evaluated quantitatively by using a general circulation model(HadCM3)coupled with the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)hydrological model.The model was calibrated and validated against the historical monitored data from 2005 to 2009.The streamflow was estimated by downscaling HadCM3 outputs to the daily mean temperature and precipitation series,derived for three 30-year time slices,2020s,2050s and 2080s.Results suggest that daily mean temperature increases with a changing rate of 0.435℃per decade,and precipitation decreases with a changing rate of 0.761 mm per decade.Compared with other seasons,the precipitation in summer shows significant downward trend,while a significant upward trend in autumn.The annual streamflow demonstrates a general downward trend with a decreasing rate of 0.405 m3/s per decade.The streamflow shows significant downward and upward trends in summer and in autumn,respectively.The decreasing rate of streamflow in summer reaches 1.97 m 3 /s per decade,which contributes primarily to the decrease of streamflow.The results of this work would be of great benifit to the design of economic and social development planning in the study area.ZHANG Lei LU Wenxi YANG Qingchun AN Yongkai LI Di GONG Lei 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,5:3
176-Gingerol protects against cardiac remodeling by inhibiting the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway显示文摘6-Gingerol,a pungent ingredient of ginger,has been reported to possess anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities,but the effect of 6-gingerol on pressure overload-induced cardiac remodeling remains inconclusive.In this study,we investigated the effect of 6-gingerol on cardiac remodeling in in vivo and in vitro models,and to clarify the underlying mechanisms.C57BL/6 mice were subjected to transverse aortic constriction(TAC),and treated with 6-gingerol(20 mg/kg,ig)three times a week(1 week in advance and continued until the end of the experiment).Four weeks after TAC surgery,the mice were subjected to echocardiography,and then sacrificed to harvest the hearts for analysis.For in vitro study,neonatal rat cardiomyocytes and cardiac fibroblasts were used to validate the protective effects of 6-gingerol in response to phenylephrine(PE)and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)challenge.We showed that 6-gingerol administration protected against pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy,fibrosis,inflammation,and dysfunction in TAC mice.In the in vitro study,we showed that treatment with 6-gingerol(20μM)blocked PE-induced-cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and TGF-β-induced cardiac fibroblast activation.Furthermore,6-gingerol treatment significantly decreased mitogen-activated protein kinase p38(p38)phosphorylation in response to pressure overload in vivo and extracellular stimuli in vitro,which was upregulated in the absence of 6-gingerol treatment.Moreover,transfection with mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 6 expressing adenoviruses(Ad-MKK6),which specifically activated p38,abolished the protective effects of 6-gingerol in both in vitro and in vivo models.In conclusion,6-gingerol improves cardiac function and alleviates cardiac remodeling induced by pressure overload in a p38-dependent manner.The present study demonstrates that 6-gingerol is a promising agent for the intervention of pathological cardiac remodeling.Shu-qing Ma Zhen Guo Fang-yuan Liu Shahzad-Gul Hasan Dan Yang Nan Tang Peng An Ming-yu Wang Hai-ming Wu Zheng Yang Di Fan Qi-zhu Tang 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,10:2
18The Dynamic Experiment on Treating Acid Mine Drainage with Iron Scrap and Sulfate Reducing Bacteria Using Biomass Materials as Carbon Source显示文摘The study is aimed at the problem of high content of Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)is high and low pH value in acid mine drainage(AMD).Moreover,treatment of AMD by sulfate reducing bacteria(SRB)requires the addition of carbon source,while the treating effectiveness is not good enough on its own.The sugarcane slag,the corn cob and the sunflower straw were selected as the SRB carbon source cooperating with iron scrap to construct the dynamic columns 1,2 and 3.The mechanism of removing Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+),SO_(4)^(2-)and H+and the regularity of sustained release of carbon source and TFe release was studied in AMD.The removal efficiency of heavy metal ions,the ability of sustained release of carbon source,and the ability of adjusting acid by the three dynamic columns were compared.The result shows that the average removal rates of Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)in effluent of dynamic column 1,filled by sugarcane slag,iron scrap and SRB,were 96.9%,67.1%and 54.3%.The average release of TFe and chemical oxygen demand(COD)were 4.4 and 287.3 mg/L.Its average pH was 6.98.Compared with the performance of dynamic columns 1,2 and 3,dynamic column 1 performed best in removing Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)from AMD and controlling the release of COD and TFe,adjusting the pH of the solution.The study is of significance in treatment of AMD by taking for biomass materials as SRB carbon source in cooperation with iron scrap.Xianjun Wang Junzhen Di Yanrong Dong Yu Yang Bing Liang Fankang Meng Tingting Wang Wenbo An Zengxin Li Jianzhi Guo 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,1:2
