| 2 | Deep carbon cycle in subduction zones显示文摘The carbon cycle between the deep Earth and the atmosphere(i.e., the deep carbon cycle) can significantly affect the global climate on both long and short time scales. Although carbon in the deep Earth can be released to the atmosphere in many ways, plate subduction is the only pathway for the return of carbon from the surface to the deep Earth. Owing to diversity in the forms of carbon and the special physicochemical property of carbonates, the behavior of carbon and carbonates in subduction zones significantly affects the products of subduction processes, the oxygen fugacity in subduction zones, and the activation and migration of elements during the crust-mantle interaction. Therefore, the carbon cycle in subduction zones plays an important role in maintaining a habitable climate by regulating the atmospheric CO_2 concentration, which significantly affects the global climate, and in causing fundamental changes in the physical and chemical properties of the mantle that result in a heterogeneous mantle. | 3 | Characteristics of size distributions and sources of water-soluble ions in Lhasa during monsoon and non-monsoon seasons显示文摘To understand the physical and chemical characteristics, particle size distribution and sources of size-separated aerosols in Lhasa, which is located on the Tibetan Plateau(TP), six sizes of aerosol samples were collected in Lhasa in 2014. Ca^(2+), NH_4^+, NO_3^-,SO_4^(2-)and Cl-were the dominant ions. The ratio of cation equivalents(CE) to anion equivalents(AE) for each particle size segment indicated that the atmospheric aerosols in Lhasa were alkaline. SO_4^(2-)and NO_3^-could be neutralized by Ca^(2+), but could not be neutralized by NH_4^+, according to the [NH_4^+]/[NO_3^-+ SO_4^(2-)] and [Ca^(2+)]/[NO_3^-+ SO_4^(2-)] ratios. Mobile sources were dominant in PM_(0.95-1.5),PM_(1.5-3) and PM_(3-7.2), while stationary sources were dominant in the other three size fractions according to the [NO_3^-]/[SO_4^(2-)] ratios. The particle size distribution of all watersoluble ions during monsoon and non-monsoon periods was characterized by a bimodal distribution due to the different sources and formation mechanisms, and it was revealed that different ions had different sources in different seasons and different particle size segments by combining particle size distribution with correlation analysis. | 5 | Protein adsorption onto diethylaminoethyl dextran modified anion exchanger:Effect of ionic strength and column behavior显示文摘Our previous studies on bovine serum albumin(BSA) adsorption to diethylaminoethyl dextran(DEAE dextran,DexD, grafting-ligand) and DEAE(D, surface-ligand) modified Sepharose FF resins found that all the grafted resins(FF-DexD and FF-D-DexD) exhibited extremely fast uptake rate(effective diffusivity, D_e, D_e/D_O> 1.4),which was six times greater than the ungrafted resins(D_e/D_O < 0.3). In this work, the influence of ionic strength(IS) on 6 typical DEAE dextran-grafted resins was investigated. Bath adsorption equilibria and kinetics, breakthrough, and linear gradient elution experiments were conducted. Commercial DEAE Sepharose FF was used for comparison. It is found that protein adsorption capacities on DEAE dextran-FF resins and the commercial resin decreased with increasing IS, but DEAE dextran-FF resins exhibited much higher capacity sensitivity to salt concentration. Besides, steeper decrease of adsorption capacities could be obtained at higher graftingligand or surface-ligand density. It is worth noting that the facilitating role of surface-ligand to the 'chain delivery' effect was weakened after adding salt, leading to the less improvement in uptake rate by increasing surface-ligand density at higher IS. Although the uptake rates of the DEAE dextran-FF resins increased first and then decreased with increasing IS, they kept the extremely high level of De values(D_e/D_O > 1.1) at the their working/binding IS range. Moreover, the DEAE dextran-FF resin displayed much higher adsorption capacities and De values than commercial ungrafted resin in their working condition. Furthermore, the column results of DEAE dextran-FF resins presented higher dynamic binding capacities than and similar elution ISs with DEAE Sepharose FF to achieve similar(or even higher) recoveries suggest the excellent chromatographic column performance of the DEAE dextran-FF resins. Finally, both high recovery and purity of BSA and γ-globulin could be easily achieved using the typical DEAE dextran-FF column, FF-D60-DexD160, to separate their binary mixtures,by step gradient elution. | 9 | Natural rubber/nitrile butadiene rubber/hindered phenol composites with high-damping properties显示文摘New natural rubber(NR)/nitrile butadiene rubber(NBR)/hindered phenol(AO-80)composites with high-damping properties were prepared in this study.The morpholo-gical,structural,and mechanical properties were characterized by atomic force micro-scopy(AFM),polarized Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR),dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer(DMTA),and a tensile tester.Each composite consisted of two phases:the NR phase and the NBR/AO-80 phase.There was partial compat-ibility between the NR phase and the NBR/AO-80 phase,and the NR/NBR/AO-80(50/50/20)composite exhibited a co-continuous morphology.Strain-induced crystal-lization occurred in the NR phase at strains higher than 200%,and strain-induced orientation appeared in the NBR/AO-80 phase with the increase of strain from 100%to 500%.The composites had a special stress–strain behavior and mechanical properties because of the simultaneous strain-induced orientation and strain-induced crystalliza-tion.In the working temperature range of a seismic isolation bearing,the composites(especially the NR/NBR/AO-80(50/50/20)composite)presented a high loss factor,high area of loss peak(TA),and high hysteresis energy.Therefore,the NR/NBR/AO-80 rubber composites are expected to have important application as a high-perfor-mance damping material for rubber bearing. | Xiuying Zhao Jingna Yang Detao Zhao Yonglai Lu Wencai Wang Liqun Zhang Toshio Nishi | 2015 | International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2015,6,4: | 2 |
| 10 | The near-optimal maximum principle of impulse control for stochastic recursive system显示文摘Here, we discuss the near-optimality for a class of stochastic impulse control problems. The state process in our problem is given by forward-backward stochastic differential equations(FBSDEs) with two control components involved: the regular and impulse control. More specially, the impulse control is defined on a sequence of prescribed stopping times. A recursive cost functional is introduced and the maximum principle for its near-optimality(both necessary and sufficient conditions) is derived with the help of Ekeland's principle and variational analysis.
