1Lipid metabolism reprogramming and its potential targets in cancer显示文摘Reprogramming of lipid metabolism is a newly recognized hallmark of malignancy.Increased lipid uptake,storage and lipogenesis occur in a variety of cancers and contribute to rapid tumor growth.Lipids constitute the basic struc-ture of membranes and also function as signaling molecules and energy sources.Sterol regulatory element-binding proteins(SREBPs),a family of membrane-bound transcription factors in the endoplasmic reticulum,play a central role in the regulation of lipid metabolism.Recent studies have revealed that SREBPs are highly up-regulated in various cancers and promote tumor growth.SREBP cleavage-activating protein is a key transporter in the trafficking and activation of SREBPs as well as a critical glucose sensor,thus linking glucose metabolism and de novo lipid synthesis.Targeting altered lipid metabolic pathways has become a promising anti-cancer strategy.This review summarizes recent progress in our understanding of lipid metabolism regulation in malignancy,and highlights potential molecu-lar targets and their inhibitors for cancer treatment.Chunming Cheng Feng Geng Xiang Cheng Deliang Guo 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:34
2Preparation,Microstructure and Properties of NiO-Cr_2O_3-TiO_2 Infrared Radiation Coating显示文摘The spherical agglomerated particles were fabricated by spray drying with the powders of NiO,Cr2O3 and TiO2.Plasma spray power,which has good property of flowability,was acquired by heat treatment from the particles at 1200-C in the reducing atmosphere.Dark and uniform coating of More than 50μm thick was deposited on the copper sheet substrate by plasma spraying.It is found that the infrared normal total emissivity of the coating is up to 0.91 at 600-C by infrared radiation testing.The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the formation of(Cr0.88Ti0.12)2O3 and spinel structural NiCr2O4 in the coating is the main reason for high effcient infrared radiation,and the phase structure and performance of coating is favorable under the thermal cycle between room temperature and 600-C.Wu Chen Weiping Ye Xudong Cheng Wei Duan Fang Mao Deliang Li 2009Journal of Materials Science & Technology2009,25,5:8

6Light-triggered NO-releasing nanoparticles for treating mice with liver fibrosis显示文摘Liver fibrosis, resulting from chronic liver damage and characterized by the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, is a characteristic of most types of chronic liver diseases. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) is considered an essential pathological hallmark in liver fibrosis. Although nitric oxide (NO) can effectively induce HSC apoptosis, the systemic administration of NO is ineffective and may cause severe complications such as hypotension. To overcome this limitation, nanoparticles were designed to target HSCs and release NO locally under the exposure of near infrared light (NIR). To achieve this, upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP) cores were enveloped in mesoporous silica shells (UCNP@mSiO2), which were modified with hyaluronic acid (HA-UCNP@mSiO2) and Roussin’s black salt (RBS). HA molecules recognize and bind to CD44 proteins, which are overexpressed on activated HSCs. Under exposure to a 980-nm NIR laser, the UCNP cores convert the 980-nm wavelength into ultraviolet (UV) light, which then energizes the RBS (NO donors), resulting in an efficient release of NO inside of the HSCs. Once released, NO triggers HSC apoptosis and reverses the liver fibrosis. 8Effects of Northern Hemisphere Annular Mode on terrestrial near-surface wind speed over eastern China from 1979 to 2017显示文摘Large-scale ocean‒atmosphere circulations(LOACs)have a pronounced effect on the near-surface wind speed(NSWS).In this study,we discussed the contributions of zonal and meridional flows to NSWS changes and identify the possible association between the Northern Hemisphere Annular Mode(NAM)and the NSWS changes over eastern China from 1979 to 2017.Results show that the reduction in NSWS over eastern China was mainly dominated by the weakening of the zonal wind component.NAM has a considerable effect on the NSWS over eastern China.When the NAM exhibits positive phases,the zonal-mean westerly weakens at low-to-mid-latitudes(10°-40°N).Meanwhile,descending flows prevail near 40°N,and ascending flows persist near 65°N in the troposphere.In the lower troposphere,there are northerly anomalies at low-to-mid-latitudes and southerly anomalies at mid-to-high latitudes(40°-70°N).The anomalous meridional flows transport heat from low to high latitudes and weaken the north‒south air temperature gradient.The decreased air temperature gradient over East Asia reduces the pressure gradient near the surface,decreasing NSWS in eastern China.NAM variations could dominate(32.0±15.8)%of the changes in the annual mean NSWS.Nevertheless,the contribution of NAM to the interannual changes of the zonal component in NSWS could reach(45.0±12.9)%.Jin-Lin ZHA Cheng SHEN Jian WU De-Ming ZHAO Wen-Xuan FAN Hui-Ping JIANG Cesar AZORIN-MOLINA Deliang CHEN 2022Advances in Climate Change Research2022,13,6:0

10Indication of paleoecological evidence on the evolution of alpine vegetation productivity and soil erosion in central China since the mid-Holocene显示文摘Although alpine ecosystems have been commonly recognized as sensitive to recent climate change,few studies have examined its impact on the long-term productivity of vegetation and soil erosion.Using paleoecological records,these two aspects were examined in the alpine zone of the Taibai Mountains(elevation,3767 m)in monsoon-dominated East Asia since the middle Holocene.Proxies for the productivity of vegetation and severity of soil erosion from high-resolution alpine lacustrine records show that the productivity and soil erosion were closely related to mean annual temperature and summer precipitation from the East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM),respectively.Specifically,when the mean annual temperature was low and precipitation was abundant,during 5800–4000 calendar years before the present(cal.yr BP),the alpine ecosystem was characterized by low vegetation productivity and severe soil erosion.However,the productivity increased and soil erosion decreased from 4000 cal.yr BP onwards.These results highlight the role of paleoecological evidence in studying ecosystem services on longer time scales,which is significant in making policies for sustainable development under climate change in regions for which such long-term monitoring data are not available.Ying CHENG Hongyan LIU Hongya WANG Deliang CHEN Philippe CIAIS Yao LUO Xiuchen WU &Yi YIN 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,10:0
11CO_(2),N_(2),and CO_(2)/N_(2)mixed gas injection for enhanced shale gas recovery and CO_(2)geological storage显示文摘In this work,using fractured shale cores,isothermal adsorption experiments and core flooding tests were conducted to investigate the performance of injecting different gases to enhance shale gas recovery and CO_(2)geological storage efficiency under real reservoir conditions.The adsorption process of shale to different gases was in agreement with the extended-Langmuir model,and the adsorption capacity of CO_(2)was the largest,followed by CH_(4),and that of N_(2)was the smallest of the three pure gases.In addition,when the CO_(2)concentration in the mixed gas exceeded 50%,the adsorption capacity of the mixed gas was greater than that of CH4,and had a strong competitive adsorption effect.For the core flooding tests,pure gas injection showed that the breakthrough time of CO_(2)was longer than that of N_(2),and the CH_(4)recovery factor at the breakthrough time(Rch,)was also higher than that of N_(2).The RcH of CO_(2)gas injection was approximately 44.09%,while the RcH,of N_(2)was only 31.63%.For CO_(2)/N_(2)mixed gas injection,with the increase of CO_(2)concentration,the RcH,increased,and the RcH,for mixed gas CO_(2)/N_(2)=8:2 was close to that of pure CO_(2),about 40.24%.Moreover,the breakthrough time of N_(2)in mixed gas was not much different from that when pure N_(2)was injected,while the breakthrough time of CO_(2)was prolonged,which indicated that with the increase of N_(2)concentration in the mixed gas,the breakthrough time of CO_(2)could be extended.Furthermore,an abnormal surge of N_(2)concentration in the produced gas was observed after N_(2)breakthrough.In regards to CO_(2)storage efficiency(S_(Storage-CO_(2)),as the CO_(2)concentration increased,S storage-co_(2)also increased.The S storage-co_(2),of the pure CO_(2)gas injection was about 35.96%,while for mixed gas CO_(2)/N_(2)=8:2,S sorage-co,was about 32.28%.Jianfa WU Haoran HU Cheng CHANG Deliang ZHANG Jian ZHANG Shengxian ZHAO Bo WANG Qiushi ZHANG Yiming CHEN Fanhua ZENG 2023Frontiers in Energy2023,17,3:0
12Glutamine-released ammonia acts as an unprecedented signaling molecule activating lipid production显示文摘In healthy humans, ammonia circulates in the bloodstream at a concentration around 11–32 μmol/L. Whether ammonia plays any physiological role has been unknown until a recent report published in Nature Metabolism.1 Ammonia, long thought to be a toxic waste product of amino acid metabolism, needs to be excreted from the human body as urea. Intriguingly, in this paper, Cheng et al1 for the first time reported that ammonia is not a waste product;rather, it is an unprecedented signaling molecule tying glucose and glutamine to lipid production in human cells. This study revealed that ammonia released from glutamine triggers a cascade of cellular processes leading to the activation of lipogenesis machinery for lipid production (Fig. 1). 13Construction of SnS-Mo-graphene nanosheets composite for highly reversible and stable lithium/sodium storage显示文摘Sn-based chalcogenides are considered as one of the most promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their high capacities through both conversion and alloying reactions.However,the realization of full capacities of Sn-based chalcogenides is mainly hindered by the large volume variation and inferior reversibility of conversion reaction during cycling.In present work,a new ternary Sn SMo-graphene nanosheets(Sn S-Mo-GNs)composite is fabricated by a simple and scalable plasma milling method,in which Sn S nanoparticles are tightly bonded with Mo and GNs.The Mo and GNs additives can effectively alleviate the large volume change of Sn S upon cycling,which leads to a stable electrochemical framework.Moreover,they can significantly suppress the Sn agglomeration in lithiated Sn S,which enables highly reversible conversion reaction during cycling.As anode for LIBs,the Sn S-Mo-GNs composite exhibits a high initial coulombic efficiency of 86.9%(almost complete reversibility of Sn S,~97.3%),high cyclic coulombic efficiency after initial three cycles(>99.5%),and long lifespan(up to 600 cycles).Moreover,it also demonstrates superior electrochemical performance for sodium storage.Thus,this work demonstrates a potential anode for batteries application and provides a viable strategy to obtain highly reversible and stable anodes for lithium/sodium storage.Deliang Cheng Lichun Yang Renzong Hu Jie Cui Jiangwen Liu Min Zhu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,26:0
14New role of α phase in the fracture behavior and fracture toughness of a β-type bio-titanium alloy显示文摘The role of α precipitates formed during aging in the fracture toughness and fracture behavior of β-type bio-titanium alloy Ti–29Nb–13Ta–4.6Zr(TNTZ) was studied. Results showed that the fracture toughness of the TNTZ alloy aged at 723 K decreases to the minimum of 72.07–73.19 kJ·m^(-2)when the aging time is extended to 4–8 h and then gradually increases and reaches 144.89 kJ·m^(-2)after 72 h. The decrease in fracture toughness within the aging time of 4–8 h is caused by the large stress concentration at the tip of acicular α precipitates with a high aspect ratio and the preferential crack propagation along the inhomogeneous acicular α precipitates distributed in “V-shape” and “nearly perpendicular shape”. When the aging time is extended to 8–72 h, the precrack tip is uniformly blunted, and the crack is effectively deflected by α precipitates with multi long axis directions, more high homogeneity, low aspect ratio, and large number density.
