1Overexpression of micro RNA_(40)8 enhances photosynthesis, growth, and seed yield in diverse plants显示文摘The ability of a plant to produce grain, fruit, or forage depends ultimately on photosynthesis. There have been few attempts, however, to study micro RNAs, which are a class of endogenous small RNAs post-transcriptionally programming gene expression, in relation to photosynthetic traits. We focused on miR_(40)8, one of the most conserved plant miRNAs, and overexpressed it in parallel in Arabidopsis, tobacco, and rice. The transgenic plants all exhibited increased copper content in the chloroplast, elevated abundance of plastocyanin,and an induction of photosynthetic genes. By means of gas exchange and optical spectroscopy analyses, we showed that higher expression of miR_(40)8 leads to enhanced photosynthesis through improving efficiency of irradiation utilization and the capacity for carbon dioxide fixation. Consequently, miR_(40)8 hyper-accumulating plants exhibited higher rate of vegetative growth. An enlargement of seed size was also observed in all three species overproducing miR_(40)8. Moreover, we conducted a 2-year-two-location field trial and observed miR_(40)8 overexpression in rice significantly increased yield, which was primarily attributed to an elevation in grain weight. 2Viscosity testing method of ultra-low temperature drilling fluids for polar glacier drilling显示文摘According to the working environment of the polar glacier core drilling,a separatory funnel capillary viscometer which can be used for testing the viscosity of liquids under ultra-low temperature conditions was designed. This viscometer has a simple structure and it is easy to operate,which can meet the testing requirements of different temperature conditions.The viscosity of the dimethyl silicone oil KF-96L-2.Ocs was measured under different temperatures using this designed viscometer,and it is found that the viscometer coefficient K changes linearly with temperature.This testing method has relatively high test accuracy and its relative error is less than 4%,which can be used to test the viscosity of the different liquids in ultra-low temperature conditions.HAN Lili XU Huiwen CAO Pinlu YU Dahui P.G.Talalay 2012Global Geology2012,15,4:4
3Wavy PtCu alloy nanowire networks with abundant surface defects enhanced oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Bimetalic platinum-copper(Pt-Cu)alloy nanowires have emerged as a novel class of fuel cell electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)due to their intrinsic high catalytic activity and durability,but preparing such electrocatalysts with clean surface via facile method is still a challenge.Herein,PtCu alloy with nanowire networks(NWNs)structure is obtained by a simple modified polyol method accompanied with a salt-mediated self-assembly process in a water/ethylene glycol(EG)mixing media.The formation mechanism of PtCu NWNs including the morphological evolution and the relevant experimental parameters has been investigated systematically.We propose that a micro-interface in H2O-EG media formed with the assistance of disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate(Na2H2P2O7)and its unique nature of coordinating with Pt^2+ or Cu^2+ play critical roles in the formation of NWNs.When tested as ORR catalyst,the PtCuNWNs/C exhibits much higher activity and durability than that of PtNWNs/C and commercial PtC,even exceeding the target of DOE in 2020.The excellent performance of PtCuNWNs/C could be attributed to the unique structure of NWNs with 2.4 nm ultrathin wavy nanowires and plentiful surface defects and the modified electronic effect caused by alloying with Cu atoms.Dahui Fang Lei Wan Qike Jiang Hongjie Zhang Xuejun Tang Xiaoping Qin Zhigang Shao Zidong Wei 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:4
4Single Nucleotide Polymorphism of FSHβ Gene Associated with Reproductive Traits in Japanese Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus)显示文摘Follicle stimulating hormone β (FSHβ) of Japanese flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) plays a key role in the regulation of gonadal development.This study aimed to investigate molecular genetic characteristics of the FSHβ gene and elucidate the effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of FSHβ on reproductive traits in Japanese flounder.We used polymerase chain reaction single-strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) and sequencing of the FSHβ gene in 60 individuals.We identified only an SNP (T/C) in the coding region of exon3 of FSHβ.The SNP (T/C) did not lead to amino acid changes at the position 340 bp of FSHβ gene.Statistical analysis showed that the SNP was significantly associated with testosterone (T) level and gonadosomatic index (GSI) (P<0.05).Individuals with genotype TC of the SNP had significantly higher serum T levels and GSI (P<0.05) than that of genotype CC.Therefore, FSHβ gene could be a useful molecular marker in selection for prominent reproductive trait in Japanese Flounder.HE Feng WEN Haishen YU Dahui LI Jifang SHI Bao CHEN Caifang ZHANG Jiaren JIN Guoxiong CHEN Xiaoyan Shi Dan Yang Yanping 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,4:4
5A chlorinated polymer promoted analogue co-donors for efficient ternary all-polymer solar cells显示文摘The efficient ternary all-polymer solar cells(PSCs) are designed and fabricated, using a polymer acceptor of NDP-V-C7 and analogue co-donors containing a chlorinated polymer PBCl T and classical PTB7-Th. PBCl T and PTB7-Th possess very similar chemical structure and matched energy levels to form the cascade of the co-donors. Meanwhile, benefiting from those analogous polymer structures, there is little influence of the morphology in blend film compared to their pristine polymer films. The binary PBCl T:NDP-V-C7 devices exhibit a high open-circuit voltage(V_(oc)) due to the deep HOMO level of PBCl T. The V_(oc)of all-PSCs could be finely manipulated by adjusting the content of PBCl T in blend film. The ternary all-PSCs have the more balanced charge mobility and prolonged carrier lifetime compared to the binary devices. The PBCl T also help improve the miscibility of ternary blend and suppress crystallization in films, bringing about favorable morphology with appropriate orientation and surface roughness in blend film. With the optimal processing, the champion ternary all-PSCs obtain a high PCE of 9.03%, which is about 10% enhancement compared to that of binary device. 6Degradation of furan tebufenozide in laboratory and field trials显示文摘Furan tebufenozide is a newly developed insect growth regulator and has been applied as a pesticide in agriculture in China.Its degradation under both laboratory and field conditions was investigated,and the degradation kinetics was fitted by simple first order kinetics (SFO) model and first order double exponential (FOD) model.Laboratory studies were conducted with or without light in five simulated media (sterilized deionized water,river water,soil solution,sterilized soil and natural soil).No dissipations of furan tebufenozide were observed in sterilized aqueous and soil media under light prevented conditions,whereas degradation occurred under all the other conditions in the laboratory.Derived from SFO and FOD models,DT50 in the dark and light laboratory conditions was in the range of 39.7-82.5 and 1.1-8.0 days,respectively.These results indicated that microbes and light were the main factors for the degradation of the pesticide in the laboratory.During field trials,derived from the SFO model,DT50 and DT90 were 30.3 and 100.5 days,while derived from the FOD model,DT50 and DT90 were 28.9 and 274.9 days,respectively.Compared with laboratory experiments,field trials were influenced by multiple factors.Therefore,the SFO model could not fit experimental data as well as the FOD model did in field trials.GUO Cong,LI DaHui,CHEN JinHui,GUO BaoYuan,WANG HuiLi & LI JianZhong Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100085,China 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,8:3
7Identification of Major Locus Bph35 Resistance to Brown Planthopper in Rice显示文摘An introgression line RBPH660,derived from wild rice Oryza rufipogon,showed stable resistance to brown planthopper(BPH).Segregation analysis indicated BPH resistance of RBPH660 was controlled by multiple genes/QTLs.By using the bulked segregant analysis(BSA)-seq method,two genomic regions harboring QTLs resistance to BPH were identified from 1.20 to 16.70 Mb on chromosome 4 and from 10.20 to 12.60 Mb on chromosome 9 in RBPH660,respectively.A major resistance locus,designated as Bph35 accounting for 51.27%of the phenotypic variation with a LOD score of 42.51,was mapped to the candidate region of chromosome 4 between In Del(insertion-deletion)markers PSM16 and R4 M13.For fine mapping of Bph35,one simple sequence repeat and three newly developed In Del markers were used to screen the recombinants.Finally,the Bph35 locus was delimited in the region from 6.28 to 6.93 Mb and there were 18 predicted protein-encoding genes with a total of 114 non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)variant sites between the resistant and susceptible parents.Out of these genes,Os04 g0193950,encoding a putative NB-ARC(nucleotidebinding adaptor shared by APAF-1,R proteins and CED-4)and LRR(leucine-rich repeat)domain protein with nine non-synonymous SNP substitutions in its coding sequence regions,might be the candidate gene for Bph35.These findings would facilitate the map-based cloning of the Bph35 gene and development of resistant varieties against BPH in rice.ZHANG Yuexiong QIN Gang MA Qianqian WEI Minyi YANG Xinghai MA Zengfeng LIANG Haifu LIU Chi LI Zhenjing LIU Fang HUANG Dahui LI Rongbai 2020Rice science2020,27,3:3

9Microstructure of nano precursors of La-Mg hydrogen storage alloy synthesized by sol-gel technology at different pH values显示文摘Sol-gel technology was employed to synthesize nanosized precursors of La-Mg hydrogen storage alloy at different pH values (0.5,1.5,8.0 and 9.0) of reaction solution.The effect of pH value on microstructure of the nano precursors of La-Mg hydrogen storage alloy was studied by infrared radiation (IR),thermo-gravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA),X-ray diffraction analyzer (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).IR results indicate that the chelating agent,citric acid,is not fully ionized,and carboxyl groups are not entirely used to complex metal ions in acidic solutions.The efficiency of complexing metal ions is enhanced in basic solutions.TG/DTA results show that the combustion may take place with low rate of the flame propagation that causes the longer combustion time when pH<1.5.On the contrary,the dry gel synthesized in basic solution combusts at low ignition temperature and combustion reaction is violent; it is easy to form fine particles.XRD and TEM results reveal that the precursor powders are mainly two-phase mixture of La2O3 and MgO.The morphology of the particles is almost flake with the size of~30 nm when pH is 8.0.WANG Dahui XIA Jihong ZHANG Sha 2012Rare Metals2012,31,5:3

12Effects of Spherical Aggregates Addition on Properties of Al2O3-SiO2 System Castables显示文摘Compared with traditional aggregates,spherical aggregates with high flowability,easy control of particle size distribution and favor of dense packing and so on,are expected to replace traditional aggregates as important raw materials for future high performance refractories. Therefore,investigation of effects of spherical aggregates addition on properties of refractories becomes very meaningful. Using A70 mullite traditional aggregates and A70 mullite spherical aggregates, bauxite homogenization powder,microsilica,and calcium aluminate cement as raw materials,different Al_2O_3-SiO_2system low cement castables were prepared by replacing conventional aggregates with spherical aggregates. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on workability and mechanical properties of castables after heated at different temperatures was researched,and microstructure of the specimen was analyzed by SEM. Compared with traditional irregularly shaped aggregates,spherical aggregates endow castables with better flowability and easy pump ability. By introduction of spherical aggregates into the castables,flowability and pumpability are significantly improved,and water addition and ball completely sunk time are reduced. The introduction of spherical aggregates is favorable to density and cold crushing strength of castables,but unfavorable to CMOR. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on HMOR at1 400 ℃ can be negligible. 13Analysis on the Effects of Morphological Traits of Lutraria sieboldii on Its Body Mass Trait显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the relationship between morphological traits and body mass trait of Lutraria sieboldii.[Methods]110 were randomly selected from 120 2^(nd)-instar L.sieboldii collected from the Tieshangang area of Beihai,Guangxi,and 132 were randomly selected from 150 shellfish at the instar of 0.6.Their morphological traits were measured:shell length(SL),shell height(SH),shell width(SW),anterior length(AL),posterior length(PL),nose length(NL)in closed shell state,and maximum open shell width(OS)between two shells in closed shell state,and the body mass trait BM was also measured.Statistical methods such as path analysis and multiple regression were used for data analysis,and the effects of these seven morphological traits on the body mass trait were studied,respectively.The correlation between the tested seven quantitative traits and one body mass trait was all positive,all reaching an extremely significant level(P<0.01).[Results]The body mass trait of the shellfish at the instar of 2 had the highest correlation coefficient with shell length(0.922),that is,shell length had the greatest direct impact on the body mass trait;the path coefficient was 0.700;and the final multiple regression equation established was BM=-124.882+1.189 SL+1.551 SH+1.035 SW+0.119 NL,and the total determination coefficient(R^(2))on body mass was 0.849.The body mass trait of the shellfish at the instar of 0.6 had the highest correlation coefficient with shell length(0.859),that is,shell length had the greatest direct impact on the body mass trait;the path coefficient was 0.494;and the final multiple regression equation established was BM=-1.917+0.111 SL+0.021 NL+0.078 SW+0.032 OS,and the total determination coefficient(R~2)on body mass was 0.828.The multivariate regression variance analysis showed that the regression between the morphological traits and body mass trait of the L.sieboldii at the instars of 2 and 0.6 reached an extremely significant level(P<0.01).[Conclusions]This study provides a scientific basis for the selection of broodstock in the selection and breeding of L.sieboldii.Dan GUO Jian CHEN Ziqin ZHAI Tongtong REN Jijin WANG Lirong BAI Dahui YU 2021Agricultural Biotechnology2021,10,4:2
14Estimating Design Loads with Environmental Contour Approach Using Copulas for an Offshore Jacket Platform显示文摘Jacket-type offshore platforms are widely used for oil, gas field, and energy development in shallow water. The design of a jacket structure is highly dependent on target environmental variables. This study focuses on a strategy to estimate design loads for offshore jacket structures based on an environmental contour approach. In addition to the popular conditional distribution model, various classes of bivariate copulas are adopted to construct joint distributions of environmental variables. Analytical formulations of environmental contours based on various models are presented and discussed in this study. The design loads are examined by dynamic response analysis of jacket platform. Results suggest that the conditional model is not recommended for use in estimating design loads in sampling locations due to poor fitting results. Independent copula produces conservative design loads and the extreme response obtained using the conditional model are smaller than those determined by copulas. The suitability of a model for contour construction varies with the origin of wave data. 15Classic mechanisms and experimental models for the anti-inflammatory effect of traditional Chinese medicine显示文摘Inflammation is a common disease involved in the pathogenesis,complications,and sequelae of a large number of related diseases,and therefore considerable research has been directed toward developing anti-inflammatory drugs for the prevention and treatment of these diseases.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been used to treat inflammatory and related diseases since ancient times.According to the re-view of abundant modern scientific researches,it is suggested that TCM exhibit anti-inflammatory effects at different levels,and via multiple pathways with various targets,and recently a series of in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory models have been developed for anti-inflammation research in TCM.Currently,the reported classic mechanisms of TCM and experimental models of its anti-inflammatory effects pro-vide reference points and guidance for further research and development of TCM.Importantly,the research clearly confirms that TCM is now and will continue to be an effective form of treatment for many types of inflammation and inflammation-related diseases.Du Hongzhi Hou Xiaoying Guo Yujie Chen Le Miao Yuhuan Liu Dahui Huang Luqi 2022Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,2:2
