1The Dominant Glutamic Acid Metabolic Flux to Produce γ-Amino Butyric Acid over Proline in Nicotiana tabacum Leaves under Water Stress Relates to its Significant Role in Antioxidant Activity显示文摘γ-Amino butyric acid (GABA) and proline play a crucial role in protecting plants during various environmental stresses. Their synthesis is from the common precursor glutamic acid, which is catalyzed by glutamate decarboxylase and △1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase respectively. However, the dominant pathway under water stress has not yet been established. To explore this, excised tobacco leaves were used to simulate a water-stress condition. The results showed GABA content was much higher than that of proline in leaves under water-deficit and non-water-deficit conditions. Specifically, the amount of GABA significantly increased compared to proline under continuous water loss for 16 h, indicating that GABA biosynthesis is the dominant pathway from glutamic acid metabolism under these conditions. Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and protein Western gel-blot analysis further confirmed this. To explore the function of GABA accumulation, a system producing superoxide anion (O 2 - ), peroxide hydrogen (H 2 O 2 ), and singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ) was employed to investigate the scavenging role on free-radical production. The results demonstrated that the scavenging ability of GABA for O 2 - , H 2 O 2 , and 1 O 2 was significantly higher than that of proline. 2Proteomic Comparison of Two-Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis Profiles from Human Lung Squamous Carcinoma and Normal Bronchial Epithelial Tissues显示文摘Differential proteome profiles of human lung squamous carcinoma tissue compared to paired tumor-adjacent normal bronchial epithelial tissue were established and analyzed by means of immobilized pH gradient-based two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-D PAGE) and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). The results showed that well-resolved, reproducible 2-DE patterns of human lung squamous carcinoma and adjacent normal bronchial epithelial tissues were obtained under the condition of 0.75-ug protein-load. The average deviation of spot position was 0.733+0.101 mm in IEF direction, and 0.925+0.207 mm in SDS-PAGE direction. For tumor tissue, a total of 1241±88 spots were detected, 987±65 spots were matched with an average matching rate of 79.5%. For control, a total of 1190+72 spots were detected, and 875±48 spots were matched with an average matching rate of 73.5%. A total of 864±34 spots were matched between tumors and controls.Forty-three differential proteins were characterized: some proteins were related to oncogenes, and others involved in the regulation of cell cycle and signal transduction. 4Preparation and Properties of High Hardness and Oxidation Resisting Coating Using Electric Arc Spray显示文摘A coating with high hardness, wear and oxidation resistance was prepared by electric arc spray. The hardness, bonding strength, abrasive wear and values of porosity and oxidation resistance of the coating were investigated. The microstructures and function of Cr3C2 of the coating were analyzed. The results showed surface Rockness Hardness HR30 reached 72.5 and average bond strength reached 49.1Mpa. Also porosity value was less than 2%. 5Ethanol steam reforming over Ni-Cu/Al_2O_3-M_yO_z (M = Si, La, Mg,and Zn) catalysts显示文摘Ni-based catalysts doped with copper additives were studied on their role in ethanol steam reforming reaction. The effects of Cu content, support species involving Al2O3-SiO2, Al2O3-MgO, Al2O3-ZnO, and Al2O3-La2O3, on the catalytic performance were studied. Characterizations by TPR, XRD, NH3-TPD, XPS, and TGA indicated that catalysts 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-MgO and 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-ZnO have much higher H2 selectivity than 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-SiO2, as well as good coke resistance. H2 selectivity for 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-MgO catalyst was 73.3% at 450 °C and increased to 94.0% at 600 °C, whereas for 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-ZnO catalyst, the H2 selectivity was 63.6% at 450 °C and 95.2% at 600 °C. 6Retrieval of Aerosol Optical Properties over a Vegetation Surface Using Multi-angular, Multi-spectral, and Polarized Data显示文摘An algorithm to retrieve aerosol optical properties using multi-angular, multi-spectral, and polarized data without a priori knowledge of the land surface was developed. In the algorithm, the surface polarized reflectance was estimated by eliminating the atmospheric scattering from measured polarized reflectance at 1640 nm. A lookup table(LUT) and an iterative method were adopted in the algorithm to retrieve the aerosol optical thickness(AOT, at 665 nm) and the Angstrom exponent(computed between the AOTs at 665 and 865 nm). Experiments were performed in Tianjin to verify the algorithm. Data were provided by a newly developed airborne instrument, the Advanced Atmosphere Multi-angle Polarization Radiometer(AMPR). The AMPR measurements over the target field agreed well with the nearby ground-based sun photometer. An algorithm based on Research Scanning Polarimeter(RSP) measurements was introduced to validate the observational measurements along a flight path over Tianjin. The retrievals were consistent between the two algorithms. 7Spacing graphene and Ni-Co layered double hydroxides with polypyrrole for high-performance supercapacitors显示文摘The urgent need of high-performance of energy storage devices triggers us to design newly class of materials.Generally,the materials feature with high conductivity,abundant pore s and excellent stability.Here,a sandwiched hybrid composite containing reduced graphene oxide,polypyrrole and Ni-Co layered double hydroxides(RGO/PPy/NiCo-LDH) was prepared in a facile way.The polypyrrole was incorporated in the two dimensional(2D) nanosheets,which not only serve as the spacer to increase the surface area,but also enhance the conductivity of the nanocomposite.The obtained architecture was employed as an advanced electrode in a supercapacitor.The electrode shows an ultrahigh specific capacitance(2534 F g^-1 at 1 A g^-1) and good cycling efficiency(78 % after 5000 cycles).Moreover,an asymmetric cell based RGO/PPy/NiCo-LDH composite demonstrates excellent electrochemical properties and good prospect of practical use.Jing Liang Cuili Xiang Yongjin Zou Xuebu Hu Hailiang Chu Shujun Qiu Fen Xu Lixian Sun 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,20:3
8A Self-Organizing RBF Neural Network Based on Distance Concentration Immune Algorithm显示文摘Radial basis function neural network(RBFNN) is an effective algorithm in nonlinear system identification. How to properly adjust the structure and parameters of RBFNN is quite challenging. To solve this problem, a distance concentration immune algorithm(DCIA) is proposed to self-organize the structure and parameters of the RBFNN in this paper. First, the distance concentration algorithm, which increases the diversity of antibodies, is used to find the global optimal solution. Secondly,the information processing strength(IPS) algorithm is used to avoid the instability that is caused by the hidden layer with neurons split or deleted randomly. However, to improve the forecasting accuracy and reduce the computation time, a sample with the most frequent occurrence of maximum error is proposed to regulate the parameters of the new neuron. In addition, the convergence proof of a self-organizing RBF neural network based on distance concentration immune algorithm(DCIA-SORBFNN) is applied to guarantee the feasibility of algorithm. Finally, several nonlinear functions are used to validate the effectiveness of the algorithm. 9Intelligent Task Offloading and Collaborative Computation over D2D Communication显示文摘In this paper,the problem of computation offloading in the edge server is studied in a mobile edge computation(MEC)-enabled cell networks that consists of a base station(BS)integrating edge servers,several terminal devices and collaborators.In the considered networks,we develop an intelligent task offloading and collaborative computation scheme to achieve the optimal computation offloading.First,a distance-based collaborator screening method is proposed to get collaborators within the distance threshold and with high power.Second,based on the Lyapunov stochastic optimization theory,the system stability problem is transformed into a queue stability issue,and the optimal computation offloading is obtained by solving these three sub-problems:task allocation control,task execution control and queue update,respectively.Moreover,rigorous experimental simulation shows that our proposed computation offloading algorithm can achieve the joint optimization among the system efficiency,energy consumption and time delay compared to the mobility-aware and migration-enabled approach,Full BS and Full local.Cuili Jiang Tengfei Cao Jianfeng Guan 2021China Communications2021,18,3:3

11The Response of Bio-Component Production of Nannochloris oculata to the Combinations of Monochromatic Light显示文摘Illuminating conditions are crucial factors affecting the microalgal growth and biosynthesis.The effects of illuminating spectral quality on the growth and bio-component production of Nannochloris oculata were investigated.The results indicated that a high proportion of Red-light enhanced the pigments and carbohydrate production but reduced those of the biomass and lipid.Mono-chromatic Blue-light has advantageous effects on lipid production compared with Red-and White-light.The optimal light spectrum for the protein production was the combination of Red-and Blue-light at a ratio of 4:3 or 5:2.Among the seven fatty acids identified from N.oculata,the contents of C16:0,C18:0,and C18:3(n-3)in the lipid were inhibited by the increased proportion of Red-light while those of C18:2(n-9),C16:2(n-6),and C20:0 were inhibited by Blue-light.Monochromatic Red-and Blue-light and their com-binations were proposed as a promising illuminating strategy for the large-scale cultivation aiming for various bio-components.YU Binqi QIAN Shouyuan LIU Qing JIN Cuili ZHOU Xiaojian 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,1:2

13Improvement in lipid production and biodiesel quality of Pavlova sp.by monochromatic illumination显示文摘Pavlova sp.is not only one of the most popular microalgae in aquaculture,but also a source of high-quality biodiesel feedstock.With white light as a control(W),Pavlova sp.was cultured in this study under varying light quality,including monochromatic red light(R),blue light(B),and combinations thereof with different proportions(illuminators of m Rn B,comprised of m red light units and n blue ones,m+n=7),to examine the effects of illuminating light quality on biocomponent production and biodiesel quality.The results show that combined monochromatic light,especially 2R5B,3R4B,4R3B,and 5R2B,could improve the growth of Pavlova sp.The dry weight of harvested algae powder in the 5R2B group reached 418.03 mg/L,and was 22.65%higher than that in the control group(W).Lipid production under combined monochromatic light of 4R3B reached 107.86 mg/L,and was 25.61%higher than in the control(W).In addition,illumination using 4R3B increased the proportion of C16∶0(palmitic acid)and C16:1(palmitoleic acid)fatty acids in Pavlova sp.by 15.55%and 21.94%,respectively,which translates into improved biodiesel quality.All cetane numbers(CN)for 4R3B–6R1B were over 51,while iodine values(IV)and degrees of unsaturation(DU)were reduced,leading to more stable biodiesel suitable for longterm storage.In addition,protein production under 6R1B was as high as 31.56 mg/L,1.8 times greater than under W.Light quality is proposed as an effective tool to regulate biocomponent production by microalgae.Cuili JIN Miaoping DONG Yi ZHANG Qiuyan YU Qing LIU Xiaojian ZHOU 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,5:1

15Low-temperature synthesis of sea urchin-like Co-Ni oxide on graphene oxide for supercapacitor electrodes显示文摘Transition metal oxides are ideal electrode materials used for supercapacitors.However,the synthesis of transition metal oxides suffers from drawbacks such as high reaction temperature and energy consumption.Herein,we report the synthesis of sea urchin-like Co3 O4-NiO composites supported on graphene oxide(GO) using a hydrothermal method followed by calcination with a low temperature(250℃).The obtained Co3O4-NiO/GO composite demonstrates a high specific capacitance of 883 F g^-1 at 1 A g^-1.Furthermore,upon coupling with an activated carbon(AC) positive electrode,an asymmetric cell of Co3 O4-NiO/GO//AC exhibits outstanding stability reflected by the high capacitance retention of 82% at a high current density of 10 A g^-1.The excellent electrochemical properties of the composite may be attributed to the good synergistic effect of Co3O4 and NiO,as well as the assembly of Co3 O4 and NiO into a sea urchin structure,which results in increased electron conductivity and more exposed electroactive sites leading to the promotion of the Faradaic redox process.Xueying Yang Cuili Xiang Yongjin Zou Jing Liang Huanzhi Zhang Erhu Yan Fen Xu Xuebu Hu Qiong Cheng Lixian Sun 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,20:1
