| 1 | 3D bioactive composite scaffolds for bone tissue engineering显示文摘Bone is the second most commonly transplanted tissue worldwide,with over four million operations using bone grafts or bone substitute materials annually to treat bone defects.However,significant limitations affect current treatment options and clinical demand for bone grafts continues to rise due to conditions such as trauma,cancer,infection and arthritis.Developing bioactive three-dimensional(3D)scaffolds to support bone regeneration has therefore become a key area of focus within bone tissue engineering(BTE).A variety of materials and manufacturing methods including 3D printing have been used to create novel alternatives to traditional bone grafts.However,individual groups of materials including polymers,ceramics and hydrogels have been unable to fully replicate the properties of bone when used alone.Favourable material properties can be combined and bioactivity improved when groups of materials are used together in composite 3D scaffolds.This review will therefore consider the ideal properties of bioactive composite 3D scaffolds and examine recent use of polymers,hydrogels,metals,ceramics and bio-glasses in BTE.Scaffold fabrication methodology,mechanical performance,biocompatibility,bioactivity,and potential clinical translations will be discussed. | Gareth Turnbull Jon Clarke Frederic Picard Philip Riches Luanluan Jia Fengxuan Han Bin Li Wenmiao Shu | 2018 | Bioactive Materials2018，3，3： | 40 |

| 3 | Diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding: A practical guide for clinicians显示文摘Gastrointestinal bleeding is a common problem encountered in the emergency department and in the primary care setting. Acute or overt gastrointestinal bleeding is visible in the form of hematemesis, melena or hematochezia. Chronic or occult gastrointestinal bleeding is notapparent to the patient and usually presents as positive fecal occult blood or iron deficiency anemia. Obscure gastrointestinal bleeding is recurrent bleeding when the source remains unidentified after upper endoscopy and colonoscopic evaluation and is usually from the small intestine. Accurate clinical diagnosis is crucial and guides definitive investigations and interventions. | 4 | Elucidation of the ‘Honeycrisp’ pedigree through haplotype analysis with a multi-family integrated SNP linkage map and a large apple (Malus×domestica) pedigree-connected SNP data set显示文摘The apple(Malus×domestica)cultivar Honeycrisp has become important economically and as a breeding parent.An earlier study with SSR markers indicated the original recorded pedigree of‘Honeycrisp’was incorrect and‘Keepsake’was identified as one putative parent,the other being unknown.The objective of this study was to verify‘Keepsake’as a parent and identify and genetically describe the unknown parent and its grandparents.A multi-family based dense and high-quality integrated SNP map was created using the apple 8 K Illumina Infinium SNP array.This map was used alongside a large pedigree-connected data set from the RosBREED project to build extended SNP haplotypes and to identify pedigree relationships.‘Keepsake’was verified as one parent of‘Honeycrisp’and‘Duchess of Oldenburg’and‘Golden Delicious’were identified as grandparents through the unknown parent.Following this finding,siblings of‘Honeycrisp’were identified using the SNP data.Breeding records from several of these siblings suggested that the previously unreported parent is a University of Minnesota selection,MN1627.This selection is no longer available,but now is genetically described through imputed SNP haplotypes.We also present the mosaic grandparental composition of‘Honeycrisp’for each of its 17 chromosome pairs.This new pedigree and genetic information will be useful in future pedigree-based genetic studies to connect‘Honeycrisp’with other cultivars used widely in apple breeding programs.The created SNP linkage map will benefit future research using the data from the Illumina apple 8 and 20 K and Affymetrix 480 K SNP arrays. | Nicholas P Howard Eric van de Weg David S Bedford Cameron P Peace Stijn Vanderzande Matthew D Clark Soon Li Teh Lichun Cai James J Luby | 2017 | Horticulture Research2017，4，1： | 9 |

| 6 | Assessment of an Evapotranspiration Deficit Drought Index in Relation to Impacts on Ecosystems显示文摘Ecosystems have increasingly been subject to the challenge of heavy drought under global warming. To quantitatively evaluate the impacts of drought on ecosystems, it is necessary to develop a drought index that can sensitively depict the response of vegetation to drought evolution at a biological time scale. For the ability of direct connection between climate and ecosystem by deficit of evapotranspiration, in the present study, a drought index was defined based on standardized evapotranspiration deficit (SEDI), according to the difference between actual and potential evapotranspiration, to meet the need for highlighting drought impacts on ecological processes. Comparisons with traditional indices show that SEDI can reasonably detect droughts and climatic dry and wet transitions, especially at a monthly time scale, and can also regenerate long-term trends. Moreover, SEDI can more sensitively capture the biological changes of ecosystems in response to the dynamics of drought intensity, compared with the indices of precipitation and temperature. SEDI is more practical than the precipitation and temperature indices to highlight signals of biological effects in climate droughts. | 10 | Clinical Practice Guidelines and Experts’Consensuses for Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)Patients with Chinese Herbal Medicine:A Systematic Review显示文摘Objective:To systematically review the clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients with Chinese herbal medicine(CHM),summarize their recommendations and evaluate their qualities.Methods:Electronic databases,websites of governments,academic associations or organizations for eligible guidelines were searched up to April 2020.Information were extracted to summarize recommendations for the use of Chinese herbal formulae and Chinese patent medicine(CPM)for COVID-19 patients.The methodological quality and reporting quality of the included guidelines were independently evaluated,using the Appraisal of Guidelines for REsearch and Evaluation(AGREE)Ⅱtool and Reporting Items for Practice Guidelines in healthcare(RIGHT)statement,respectively.Results:Totally 45 guidelines were identififi ed:42(93%)suggested specific CM formulae for treating COVID-19 patients;and 35(78%)assigned patients diagnosed with COVID-19 to 4 stages(early,development,critical and recovery).The recommended formulae and CPMs for each stage with diverse syndrome types have been summarized.Most of the included guidelines were of low methodological quality,with only one achieving moderate quality of AGREEⅡ.The frequency with which the 35 items in the Reporting Items for Practice Guidelines in Healthcare(RIGHT)checklist were reported averaged 36.5%across the 45 guidelines.Conclusions:This systematic review has summarized current recommendations for treating COVID-19 patients with CHM and shows that the general quality of present guidelines is quite low.The development of future guidelines should include increased awareness of the features of good quality guidelines. | LI Yu-xi LI Juan ZHANG Yue TIAN Yan-ping ZHANG Yong-gang JIN Rong-jiang GUO Yan Mike Clarke | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020，26，10： | 3 |
