1SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating of late Paleoproterozoic kondalites in the Daqing Mountains area on the North China Craton显示文摘The Daqing Mountains area comprises a typical occurrence of the Khondalite Belt in the Western Block of the North China Craton (NCC). In this area, both early and late Paleoproterozoic metasedimentary rocks have been identified in what was originally called the Upper Wula Mountains 'Subgroup'. Six metasedimentary rock samples yielded SHRIMP U-Pb zircon ages of 2.56-2.04 Ga for detrital and 1.96-1.83 Ga for metamorphic zircons. Based on these data and previously published results, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) The source region for the late Paleoproterozoic detrital sedimentary rocks is mainly 2.55 2.4 and 2.2 2.04 Ga in age, consistent with the early Precambrian geological history identified widely in the basement of the NCC. 2) The majority of sedimentary rocks of the khondalite series were deposited between 2.04 and 1.95 Ga, and then in a protracted period (1.96 and 1.83 Ga) underwent a complex history of amphibolite to granulite-facies metamorphism.DONG ChunYan WAN YuSheng XU ZhongYuan LIU DunYi YANG ZhenSheng MA MingZhu XIE HangQiang 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,1:43
2First identification of kdr allele F1534S in VGSC gene and its association with resistance to pyrethroid insecticides in Aedes albopictus populations from Haikou City,Hainan Island,China显示文摘Background:Aedes albopictus is distributed widely in China,as a primary vector of Dengue fever and Chikungunya fever in south of China.Chemical insecticide control is one of the integrated programmes to prevent mosquito-borne diseases.Long-term applications of pyrethroids have resulted in the development of resistance in Ae.albopictus populations in China.However,the susceptibility of Ae.albopictus to pyrethroids in Hainan Island was unclear.Knockdown resistance(kdr),caused by point mutations in the VGSC gene,is one of the mechanisms that confer resistance to DDT and pyrethroids.This study was to investigate the resistance level of Ae.albopictus populations in Haikou City to three pyrethroid insecticides,and elucidate the relationship between the resistant phenotype and kdr mutations.Methods:The Aedes albopictus samples were collected in Xinbu Island(XI),Longtang Town(LT),Shishan Town(ST),Baishamen Park(BP),and Flower Market(FM)from Haikou City,Hainan Island,China.The larval susceptibility to deltamethrin,permethrin and beta-cypermethrin was tested by larval bioassays,and adult susceptibility to deltamethrin and DDT was determined by adult bioassays.The degree of resistance was determined by resistance ratio value(RR50>3)for larvae and by mortality for adult.The kdr alleles at codon 1534 of the VGSC gene were genotyped.The relationship between kdr genotypes and resistant phenotypes was analyzed by Chi-square test.Results:Out of five populations,assessed by larval bioassays,XI was susceptible to deltamethrin and permethrin;LT was susceptible to permethrin and beta-cypermethrin;and ST was susceptible to permithrin.FM and BP both were resistant to all of the three pyrethroids,and FM showed the highest degree of resistance,with RR50 values from 65.17 to 436.36.A total of 493 individuals from the larval bioassays were genotyped for kdr alleles.Five alleles were detected,including two wildtype alleles,TTC(F)(67.04%)and TTT(F)(0.41%),and three mutant alleles,TGC(C)(0.30%),TCC(S)(31.54%)and TTG(L)(0.71%).There was a clear correlation between mutant alleles(or F1534S)and resistant phenotypes(P<0.01).Conclusion:Two novel kdr mutant alleles F1534S and F1534L were detected in the pyrethroid resistant populations of Ae.albopictus in Haikou Hainan,China.For the first time,the mutant F1534S was associated with pyrethroid resistance in Ae.albopictus.Huiying Chen Kaili Li Xiaohua Wang Xinyan Yang Yi Lin Fang Cai Wenbin Zhong Chunyan Lin Zhongling Lin Yajun Ma 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:19
3Key residues of the receptor binding motif in the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 that interact with ACE2 and neutralizing antibodies显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by the novel human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,is currently a major threat to public health worldwide.The viral spike protein binds the host receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)via the receptor-binding domain(RBD),and thus is believed to be a major target to block viral entry.Both SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV share this mechanism.Here we functionally analyzed the key amino acid residues located within receptor binding motif of RBD that may interact with human ACE2 and available neutralizing antibodies.The in vivo experiments showed that immunization with either the SARS-CoV RBD or SARS-CoV-2 RBD was able to induce strong clade-specific neutralizing antibodies in mice;however,the cross-neutralizing activity was much weaker,indicating that there are distinct antigenic features in the RBDs of the two viruses.This finding was confirmed with the available neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2.It is worth noting that a newly developed SARS-CoV-2 human antibody,HA001,was able to neutralize SARS-CoV-2,but failed to recognize SARS-CoV.Moreover,the potential epitope residues of HA001 were identified as A475 and F486 in the SARS-CoV-2 RBD,representing new binding sites for neutralizing antibodies.Overall,our study has revealed the presence of different key epitopes between SARS-CoV and SARSCoV-2,which indicates the necessity to develop new prophylactic vaccine and antibody drugs for specific control of the COVID-19 pandemic although the available agents obtained from the SARS-CoV study are unneglectable.Chunyan Yi Xiaoyu Sun Jing Ye Longfei Ding Meiqin Liu Zhuo Yang Xiao Lu Yaguang Zhang Liyang Ma Wangpeng Gu Aidong Qu Jianqing Xu Zhengli Shi Zhiyang Ling Bing Sun 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6:13
4Association of KIR Genotypes and Haplotypes with Susceptibility to Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection in Chinese Han Population显示文摘Killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) genes can regulate the activation of NK and T cells upon interaction with HLA class I molecules. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection has been regarded as a multi-factorial disorder disease. Previous studies revealed that KIRs were involved in HCV and HIV infection or clearance. The aim of this study was to explore the possibility of the inheritance of KIR genotypes and haplotypes as a candidate for susceptibility to persistent HBV infection or HBV clearance. The sequence specific primer polymerase chain reaction (SSP-PCR) was employed to identify the KIR genes and pseudogenes in 150 chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients, 251 spontaneously recovered (SR) controls, and 412 healthy controls. The frequencies of genotype G, M, FZ1 increased in CHB patients compared with healthy control subjects. The frequency of genotype AH was higher in SR controls than that in both CHB patients and healthy controls. The carriage frequencies of genotype G and AH were higher; while, the frequencies of AF and AJ were lower in SR controls than those in healthy control subjects. The frequency of A haplotype was lower, whereas, the frequency of B haplotype was higher in CHB patients and SR controls than those in healthy controls. In healthy controls, haplotype 4 was found lower compared with that in CHB patients and SR controls and the frequency of haplotype 5 was higher in SR controls than that in other two groups. Based on these findings, it seems that the genotypes M and FZ1 are HBV susceptive genotypes; AH, on the other hand, may be protective genotypes that facilitate the clearance of HBV. 5A Novel Approach to Automatic Security Protocol Analysis Based on Authentication Event Logic显示文摘Since security protocols form the cornerstones of modern secure networked systems, it is important to develop informative, accurate, and deployable approach for finding errors and proving that protocols meet their security requirements. We propose a novel approach to check security properties of cryptographic protocols using authentication event logic. Compared with logic of algorithm knowledge, authentication event logic guarantees that any well-typed protocol is robustly safe under attack while reasoning only about the actions of honest principals in the protocol. It puts no bound on the size of the principal and requires no state space enumeration and it is decidable. The types for protocol data provide some intuitive explanation of how the protocol works. 6Catalytic oxidation of benzene over nanostructured porous Co_3O_4-CeO_2 composite catalysts显示文摘Mesostructured Co3O4-CeO2 composite was found to be an effective catalytic material for the complete oxidation of benzene. The Co3O4-CeO2 catalysts with different Co/Ce ratios (mol/mol) were prepared via the nanocasting method and the mesostructure was replicated from two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal SBA-15 and three-dimensional (3D) cubic KIT-6 silicas, respectively. All the obtained Co3O4-CeO2 catalysts exhibited the similar symmetry with the parent silicas and well ordered mesostructures. The Co3O4- CeO2 catalysts with 2D mesostructure showed lower catalytic activities than the corresponding 3D materials. The Co3O4-CeO2 catalyst nanocasted from KIT-6 and with the Co/Ce ratio of 16/1 possessed the best catalytic benzene oxidation activity due to larger quantities of surface hydroxyl groups and surface oxygenated species. 9Sedimentary environment of Ediacaran glacigenic diamictite in Guozigou of Xinjiang, China显示文摘The Talisayi Formation found in the Guozigou region on the southern side of Sayram Lake of Xinjiang, China is a Neoproterozoic glacigenic diamictite succession that has not been adequately researched. According to its isotopic geochronology and regional stratigraphic correlation, the Talisayi Formation is equivalent to the Ediacaran glacial sediments. The present paper provides the geochemical data of the Talisayi Formation that reveals the tectonic setting and sedimentary environment in this area during the Ediacaran period. The oxides of Si, K, Na and Al and their ratios of matrix materials from glacigenic diamictites and bulk rock of siltstone and argillaceous siltstones indicate that the sedimentary environment of this formation evolved from a tectonically active region to a passive continental margin. Values of CIA (carbonate-corrected Chemical Index of Alteration) ranging from 54 to 74 show a low-middle weathering action under a glacial environment. Total organic carbon (TOC), V/Cr, Ni/Co and U/Th ratios suggest that the sediments deposited in shallow water with an oxic and weak hydrodynamic condition. There is an abrupt rise in TOC, V/Cr, Ni/Co and U/Th ratios respectively in the overlying Lower Cambrian dolomitic limestones and in the bottom of Talisayi Formation, indicating a rapidl increase in biologic productivity and a variation in redox conditions, which was probably caused by seawater mixing of deep anoxic water and surface oxic water.DING HaiFeng MA DongSheng YAO ChunYan SHU LiangShu 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,18:7
10Trace elements and stable isotopic geochemistry of an Early Cambrian chert-phosphorite unit from the lower Yurtus Formation of the Sugetbrak section in the Tarim Basin显示文摘A chert-phosphorite unit from the Sugetbrak section in the Tarim Basin was analyzed for rare earth elements(Ce,Eu),redox sensitive proxies,and carbon isotopic compositions(??13C carb and??13C org)in the lower Yurtus Formation of the Early Cambrian period.Redox sensitive element ratios(Th/U,V/Cr,Ni/Co,and V/Sc)were employed to determine the palaeoenvironmental conditions during this period.The ratios indicated that the depositional environment of the chert-phosphorite-black shale unit ranged from suboxic to anoxic.Negative Ce and positive Eu anomalies in the chert-phosphorite assemblages of the studied Yurtus Formation indicated the existence of a redox-stratified ocean,similar to that of South China.Overturn or upward expansion of the deep water-mass probably reached the shallow marine zone after the formation of the Yurtus phosphorites.The characteristics of the negative Ce anomaly may be due to phosphoritic inheritance from the Ce-depleted signature of the overlying water column.Subsequent hydrothermal inputs and reduced detrital supplies of the deep water caused by the upwelling affected certain redox sensitive elements in the sedimentary basin.??13C carb and??13C org negative excursions in the Yurtus chert-phosphorite unit may be related to a transgression phase when episodic basinal upwelling moved12C-and P-rich waters from the pelagic basin floor to the continental shelf.Although carbon isotopic compositions in the Yurtus chert-phosphorite assemblages may have suffered from diagenetic alteration,they can be used to probe diagenetic conditions.Multi-proxy geochemical studies indicated that the??13C carb values of the Yurtus chert-phosphorite assemblages might be considered reflections of a predominantly suboxic environment that was subsequently affected by hydrothermal inputs due to the upwelling.YAO ChunYan MA DongSheng DING HaiFeng ZHANG XiaoYong HUANG Hui 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,3:7
11Baicalin and deferoxamine alleviate iron accumulation in different brain regions of Parkinson's disease rats显示文摘Previous studies found that iron accumulates in the substantia nigra of Parkinson's disease patients. However, it is still unclear whether other brain regions have iron accumulation as well. In this experiment, rats with rotenone-induced Parkinson's disease were treated by gastric perfusion of baicalin or intraperitoneal injection of deferoxamine. Immunohistochemical staining demonstrated that iron accumulated not only in the substantia nigra pars compacta, but also significantly in the striatum globus pallidus, the dentate gyrus granular layer of the hippocampus, the dentate-interpositus and the facial nucleus of the cerebellum. Both baicalin and deferoxamine, which are iron chelating agents, significantly inhibited iron deposition in these brain areas, and substantially reduced the loss of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive cells. These chelators also reduced iron content in the substantia nigra. In addition to the substantia nigra, iron deposition was observed in other brain regions as well. 13Extensive profiling of the expressions of tRNAs and tRNA-derived fragments(tRFs)reveals the complexities of tRNA and tRF populations in plants显示文摘Evidence is emerging that t RNA-derived fragments(t RFs)are regulatory molecules.Studies of t RFs in plants have been based on conventional small RNA sequencing,and focused on profiling of t RF-5 and t RF-3 species.A more comprehensive and quantitative analysis of the entire t RF population is highly necessary.Here,we employ t RNA-seq and YAMAT-seq,and develop a bioinformatics tool to comprehensively profile the expressions of t RNAs and t RFs in plants.We show that in Arabidopsis,approximately half of t RNA genes are extremely weakly expressed,accounting for only 1%of total t RNA abundance,while~12%of t RNA genes contribute to~80%of t RNA abundance.Our t RNA sequencings in various plants reveal that t RNA expression profiles exhibit a cross-species conserved pattern.By characterizing the composition of a highly heterogeneous t RF population,we show that t RNA halves and previously unnoticed 10–16-nt tiny t RFs represent substantial portions.The highly accumulated 13-nt and 16-nt tiny t RFs in Arabidopsis indicate that tiny t RFs are not random t RNA degradation products.Finally,we provide a user-friendly database for displaying the dynamic spatiotemporal expressions of t RNAs and t RFs in the model plants Arabidopsis and rice.Xuan Ma Chunyan Liu Xiaocong Kong Jing Liu Siju Zhang Shanshan Liang Weijiang Luan Xiaofeng Cao 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,4:5

15Mesoporous silica as micro/nano-carrier: From passive to active cargo delivery, a mini review显示文摘Mesoporous silica has been widely explored for biomedical applications due to its unique structure and good biocompatibility. In particular it exhibits superior properties as micro/nano-carriers in the biomedical field. We explore their potentials in controlled drug/gene co-delivery and photodynamic therapy for cancer treatment both in vitro and in vivo. By incorporating mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNP) with two-dimensional nanomaterial, graphene oxide nano-sheet, we utilize MSNP in cellular bio-imaging with squaraine dye. Meanwhile, through delicate combination between mesoporous silica micro/nano carriers with catalytic/bio-catalytic reactions, we manage to achieve self-propelled micro/nano-motors based on mesoporous silica that are capable of transporting cargos in an active manner. Especially, enzyme powered mesoporous silica motors can be powered by physiologically available fuels such as glucose and urea,which are advantageous for future biomedical use. Motion control on both velocity and movement direction provides a powerful tool for targeted drug delivery. 16Early Cambrian carbon isotope stratigraphy in the Tarim Basin and a correlation with the Yangtze Platform显示文摘Carbon isotope chemostratigraphy has been used worldwide for stratigraphic correlation.In this study,δ13Ccarb values are estimated for the Early Cambrian Sugaitebulake section in the Tarim Basin,Xinjiang Autonomous Region,China.As a result,one positive and two negative carbon isotope excursions in the studied section were iden-tified.The δ13Ccarb values reached the maximum negative excursion(N1:-12.39‰) at the basal of the Yuertusi For-mation,and then increased to P1.After P1,δ13Ccarb values sharply decreased to about-7.06‰(N2) in the studied section.The pattern of δ13Ccarb in the Early Cambrian is comparable to the synchronous records of other sections,such as the Laolin section,the Xiaotan section and the Anjiahe section of the Yangtze Platform.It is concluded that the Early Cambrian Yuertusi Formation from the Tarim Basin is within the Nemakit-Daldynian stage,and the lower strata of the Yuertusi Formation may belong to the Zhujiaqing Formation(Meishucun Formation) of the Yangtze Platform.The Ediacaran/Cambrian boundary of the Tarim Block should be located in cherts and phosphorites suc-cessions at the basal of the Yuertusi Formation.The δ13Ccarb negative excursion N1 is just across the PC/C boundary,and may be related to certain biomass extinction due to anoxic sedimentary environment,transgression and/or the oceanic overturn.The second δ13Ccarb negative excursion N2 may account for the sea-level falling in the Early Cam-brian.YAO Chunyan MA Dongsheng DING Haifeng ZHANG Xiaoyong 2011Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2011,30,3:3

Negative δ13C excursion above the Yurtus Fm/Qigeblaq Fm boundary was determined in this study. The pronounced negative carbon isotope excursion occurs in the phosphatic chert layers at the bottom of the Cambrian Yurtus Fm, below which the first appearance of the Asteridium- Heliosphaeridium-Comasphaeridium(AHC) acritarch assemblage zone. The δ13C curve of the lower part of the Yurtus Fm in the Aksu-Wushi area was found to be correlated with the early Cambrian δ13C curves of the Zhujiaqing Fm(Daibu Member), the lower part of the Yanjiahe Fm on the Yangtze Platform in China, the lower Tal Fm in India, the Sukharikha Fm in Siberia, and the upper part of the Tsagaan Oloom Fm in Mongolia through biostigraphy. The lower part of the Yurtus Fm in the Tarim Basin is at the Nemakit-Daldynian stage, and the Precambrian/Cambrian boundary of the Aksu-Wushi area may be located in the phosphatic chert unit which just below the first appearance AHC acritarch assemblage zone. 18Serum uric acid and risk of incident diabetes in middle-aged and elderly Chinese adults: prospective cohort study显示文摘The association between serum uric acid and the risk of incident diabetes in Chinese adults remains unknown.This study aimed to investigate this association in a community-dwelling population aged≥40 years in Shanghai,China.Oral glucose tole3rance test was conducted during baseline and follow-up visits.Relative risk regression was utilized to examine the associations between baseline gender-specific serum uric acid levels and incident diabetes risk.A total of 613(10.3%)incident diabetes cases were identified during the follow-up visit after 4.5 years.Fasting plasma glucose,postload glucose,and glycated hemoglobin A1c during the follow-up visit progressively increased across the sex-specific quartiles of serum uric acid(all Ps<0.05).The incidence rate of diabetes increased across the quartiles of serum uric acid(7.43%,8.77%,11.47%,and 13.43%).Multivariate adjusted regression analysis revealed that individuals in the highest quartile had 1.36-fold increased risk of diabetes compared with those in the lowest quartile of serum uric acid(odds ratio(95%confidence interval)=1.36(1.06−1.73)).Stratified analysis indicated that the association was only observed in women.Accordingly,serum uric acid was associated with the increased risk of incident diabetes among middle-aged and elderly Chinese women.Di Cheng Chunyan Hu Rui Du Hongyan Qi Lin Lin Xueyan Wu Lina Ma Kui Peng Mian Li Min Xu Yu Xu Yufang Bi Weiqing Wang Yuhong Chen Jieli Lu 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,6:3
19Key technologies and practice for gas field storage facility construction of complex geological conditions in China显示文摘In view of complex geological characteristics and alternating loading conditions associated with cyclic large amount of gas injection and withdrawal in underground gas storage(UGS) of China, a series of key gas storage construction technologies were established, mainly including UGS site selection and evaluation, key index design, well drilling and completion, surface engineering and operational risk warning and assessment, etc. The effect of field application was discussed and summarized. Firstly, trap dynamic sealing capacity evaluation technology for conversion of UGS from the fault depleted or partially depleted gas reservoirs. A key index design method mainly based on the effective gas storage capacity design for water flooded heterogeneous gas reservoirs was proposed. To effectively guide the engineering construction of UGS, the safe well drilling, high quality cementing and high pressure and large flow surface injection and production engineering optimization suitable for long-term alternate loading condition and ultra-deep and ultra-low temperature formation were developed. The core surface equipment like high pressure gas injection compressor can be manufactured by our own. Last, the full-system operational risk warning and assessment technology for UGS was set up. The above 5 key technologies have been utilized in site selection, development scheme design, engineering construction and annual operations of 6 UGS groups, e.g. the Hutubi UGS in Xinjiang. 20Identifying EGFR-Expressed Cells and Detecting EGFR Multi-Mutations at Single-Cell Level by Microfluidic Chip显示文摘EGFR mutations companion diagnostics have been proved to be crucial for the efficacy of tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeted cancer therapies. To uncover multiple mutations occurred in minority of EGFR-mutated cells,which may be covered by the noises from majority of unmutated cells, is currently becoming an urgent clinical requirement. Here we present the validation of a microfluidic-chip-based method for detecting EGFR multimutations at single-cell level. By trapping and immunofluorescently imaging single cells in specifically designed silicon microwells, the EGFR-expressed cellswere easily identified. By in situ lysing single cells, the cell lysates of EGFR-expressed cells were retrieved without cross-contamination. Benefited from excluding the noise from cells without EGFR expression, the simple and cost-effective Sanger's sequencing, but not the expensive deep sequencing of the whole cell population, was used to discover multi-mutations. We verified the new method with precisely discovering three most important EGFR drugrelated mutations from a sample in which EGFR-mutated cells only account for a small percentage of whole cell population. The microfluidic chip is capable of discovering not only the existence of specific EGFR multi-mutations,but also other valuable single-cell-level information: on which specific cells the mutations occurred, or whether different mutations coexist on the same cells.
