6Atomically thin heterostructure with gap-mode plasmon for overcoming trade-off between photoresponsivity and response time显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)materials have recently provided a new perspective on optoelectronics because of their unique layered structure and excellent physical properties.However,their potential use as optoelectric devices has been limited by the trade-off between photoresponsivity and response time.Here,based on a vertically stacked atomically thin p-n junction,we propose a gap-mode plasmon structure that simultaneously enables enhanced responsivity and rapid photodetection.The atomically thin 2D materials act as a spacer for enhancing the gap-mode plasmons,and their short transit length in the vertical direction allows fast photocarrier transport.We demonstrate a high responsivity of up to 8.67 A/W with a high operation speed that exceeds 35 MHz under a 30 nW laser power.Spectral photocurrent,absorption,and a numerical simulation are used to verify the effectiveness of the gap-mode plasmons in the device.We believe that the design strategy proposed in this study can pave the way for a platform to overcome the trade-off between responsivity and response time.Khang June Lee Cheolmin Park Hyeok Jun Jin Gwang Hyuk Shin Sung-Yool Choi 2021Nano Research2021,14,5:1

9Rapid crystallization-driven high-efficiency phase-pure deep-blue Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite light-emitting diodes显示文摘Perovskite light-emitting diodes(PeLEDs)are considered as promising candidates for nextgeneration solution-processed full-color displays.However,the external quantum efficiencies(EQEs)and operational stabilities of deep-blue(<460 nm)PeLEDs still lag far behind their red and green counterparts.Herein,a rapid crystallization method based on hot-antisolvent bathing is proposed for realization of deep-blue PeLEDs.By promoting immediate removal of the precursor solvent from the wet perovskite films,development of the quasi-two-dimensional(2D)Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite(2D-RPP)crystals with n values>3 is hampered completely,so that phase-pure 2D-RPP films with bandgaps suitable for deep-blue PeLEDs can be obtained successfully.The uniquely developed rapid crystallization method also enables formation of randomly oriented 2D-RPP crystals,thereby improving the transfer and transport kinetics of the charge carriers.Thus,high-performance deep-blue PeLEDs emitting at 437 nm with a peak EQE of 0.63%are successfully demonstrated.The color coordinates are confirmed to be(0.165,0.044),which match well with the Rec.2020 standard blue gamut and have excellent spectral stability.Gyumin Jang Hyowon Han Sunihl Ma Junwoo Lee Chan Uk Lee Wooyong Jeong Jaehyun Son Dongki Cho Ji-Hee Kim Cheolmin Park Jooho Moon 2023Advanced Photonics2023,5,1:1

15Comparison of ring 1 parameters in 37-segment multifocal electroretinography between onset and offset conditions of ring 2 to 4 in normal subjects显示文摘AIM: To investigate whether the response of a central hexagonal element corresponding to the macular area in conventional multifocal electroretinography(mfERG) tests was the same as that of experimental mfERG using single central hexagonal element stimulation. METHODS: Prospective, observational study. Thirty healthy subjects were included in this study. mfERG recordings were performed according to two protocols: stimulus with 37 hexagonal elements(protocol 1), and stimulus with a single central element created by deactivating the other 36 hexagonal elements(protocol 2). We compared differences between ring 1 parameters in each protocol. RESULTS: In protocol 1, the first positive component(P1) implicit time and P1 amplitude were 37.8±1.8 ms and 6.3±2.7 μV. After single element stimulation(protocol 2), double positive waves appeared. The implicit time and amplitude of P1 were 40.7±2.4 ms(P<0.001) and 9.1±3.3 μV(P=0.001), respectively. The implicit time and amplitude of the second positive component(P2) were 68.0±4.5 ms(P<0.001, compared with P1 in protocol 1) and 12.3±4.7 μV(P<0.001, compared with P1 in protocol 1), respectively. The amplitude of P2 in protocol 2 was about two times higher than that of P1 in protocol 1. CONCLUSION: mfERG responses of a central hexagonal element in a single element stimulation protocol are different from those of multiple element stimulation. 16Zwitterion-assisted transition metal dichalcogenide nanosheets for scalable and biocompatible inkjet printing显示文摘Inkjet printing of two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD)nanosheets fabricated by liquid-phase exfoliation(LPE)allows simple,mass-producible,and low-cost photo-electronic devices.Many LPE processes involve toxic and environmentally hazardous solvents;however,dispersants have restricted the extent of applications of 2D-TMD inks.Herein,various 2D-TMD nanosheets,including MoS2,MoSe2,WS2,and WSe2,in addition to few-layered graphene,are inkjet-printed using a LPE process based on zwitterionic dispersants in water.Zwitterions with cationic and anionic species are water-soluble,while alkyl chain moieties associated with two ionic species adhere universally on the surface of TMD nanosheets,resulting in high throughput liquid exfoliation of the nanosheets.The zwitterion-assisted TMD nanosheets in water are successtully employed as an ink without the need for additives to adjust the viscosity and surface tension of the ink for use in an office inkjet printer;this gives rise to A4 scale,large-area inkjet-printed images on diverse substrates,such as metals,oxides,and polymer substrates patchable onto human skin.Combination with conductive graphene nanosheet inks allowed the development of mechanically flexible,biocompatible-printed arrays of photodetectors with pixelated MoSe2 channels on a paper exhibiting a photocurrent ON/OFF ratio of approximately 1038 and photocurrent switching of 500 ms.Hyeokjung Lee Min Koo Chanho Park Madhumita Patel Hyowon Han Tae Hyun Park Pawan Kumar Won-Gun Koh Cheolmin Park 2020Nano Research2020,13,10:0
17Vasorelaxant effects of 50 commonly used traditional herbal prescriptions on isolated rat aortic rings显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the vasorelaxant activities of 50 common traditional herbal prescriptions(THPs)on isolated rat aortic rings.METHODS:An electric extractor was used to extract THPs.Rat aortic rings were precontracted using phenylephrine in organ chambers containing Krebs-Henseleit solution.Decoctions of THPs were added in increasing concentrations(10-1000μg/mL)to investigate vasorelaxant activities.The vasorelaxant effects of THPs were calculated as percentage of contraction in response to phenylephrine.RESULTS:Several THPs such as Tianwangbuxin Dan,Banxiaxiexin Tang,and Mahuang Tang,significantly relaxed precontracted aortic rings.In contrast,Xiaochaihu Tang,Shensuyin,and Guizhifuling Wan significantly contracted aortic rings.Furthermore,these THPs increasingly relaxed or contracted aortic rings relaxed by amlodipine.CONCLUSION:Our findings suggest that hypertension can be treated using THPs.However some THPs can counteract treatment of hypertension.Further studies should be developed on use of THPs for treatment of hypertension are critical,and guidelines for use of traditional herbal medicines to treat hypertension.Bumjung Kim Cheolmin Jo Somin Lee Hanna Choi Kwang-Woo Kim Inhye Ham Ho-Young Choi Kyungjin Lee 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4:0
18Dual-light emitting 3D encryption with printable fluorescent-phosphorescent metal-organic frameworks显示文摘Optical encryption technologies based on room-temperature light-emitting materials are of considerable interest.Herein,we present three-dimensional(3D)printable dual-light-emitting materials for high-performance optical pattern encryption.These are based on fluorescent perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)embedded in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)designed for phosphorescent host-guest interactions.Notably,perovskite-containing MOFs emit a highly efficient blue phosphorescence,and perovskite NCs embedded in the MOFs emit characteristic green or red fluorescence under ultraviolet(UV)irradiation.Such dual-light-emitting MOFs with independent fluorescence and phosphorescence emissions are employed in pochoir pattern encryption,wherein actual information with transient phosphorescence is efficiently concealed behind fake information with fluorescence under UV exposure.Moreover,a 3D cubic skeleton is developed with the dual-light-emitting MOF powder dispersed in 3D-printable polymer filaments for 3D dual-pattern encryption.This article outlines a universal principle for developing MOF-based room-temperature multi-light-emitting materials and a strategy for multidimensional information encryption with enhanced capacity and security.Jin Woo Oh Seokyeong Lee Hyowon Han Omar Allam Ji Il Choi Hyeokjung Lee Wei Jiang Jihye Jang Gwanho Kim Seungsoo Mun Kyuho Lee Yeonji Kim Jong Woong Park Seonju Lee Seung Soon Jang Cheolmin Park 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,10:0
19Changes on optical coherence tomography angiography and fluorescein angiography in eyes with neovascular age-related macular degeneration显示文摘AIM:lo evaluate the changes on optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA) and fluorescein angiography(FA) and their correlation in neovascular agerelated macular degeneration(nAMD) before and after intravitreal aflibercept injections(IAIs).METHODS:In 43 treatment-na?ve patients with nAMD,choroidal neovascularization(CNV) in OCTA were morphologically and quantitatively analyzed before and after IAIs to determine whether they are correlated with leakage on FA or not.By combining CNV in OCTA and leakage in FA,lesions were characterized as three types:L+C+(with both CNV and leakage),L-C+(with CNV but without leakage),or L+C-lesion(with leakage outside CNV).RESULTS:Before IAI,while 27 eyes had L+C+lesion only,16 eyes had both L+C+and L-C+lesions simultaneously.Tiny capillaries and anastomosis in CNV were more developed in L+C+lesion,at 86.0% and58.1%,respectively,relative to 9.3% and 9.3% in L-C+lesions(P<0.001).After IAIs in 33 eyes,tiny capillaries and anastomosis were decreased in the lesions with cessation of leakage on FA(P<0.001 and P=0.001,respectively).In quantitative analysis,neovascularization length and numbers of junctions and endpoints were also significantly decreased.CONCLUSION:Leakage on FA is associated with CNV morphology in OCTA and remained so after IAls.Therefore,by carefully assessing the morphological and quantitative changes of CNV in OCTA before and after treatment,activity of nAMD is expected even though CNV on OCTA is not completely matched with fluorescein leakage.So Min Ahn Mihyun Choi Cheolmin Yun Seong-Woo Kim Jaeryung Oh 2022International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2022,15,11:0
