1Service-aware 6G:An intelligent and open network based on the convergence of communication,computing and caching显示文摘With the proliferation of the Internet of Things(IoT),various services are emerging with totally different features and requirements,which cannot be supported by the current fifth generation of mobile cellular networks(5G).The future sixth generation of mobile cellular networks(6G)is expected to have the capability to support new and unknown services with changing requirements.Hence,in addition to enhancing its capability by 10–100 times compared with 5G,6G should also be intelligent and open to adapt to the ever-changing services in the IoT,which requires a convergence of Communication,Computing and Caching(3C).Based on the analysis of the requirements of new services for 6G,this paper identifies key enabling technologies for an intelligent and open 6G network,all featured with 3C convergence.These technologies cover fundamental and emerging topics,including 3C-based spectrum management,radio channel construction,delay-aware transmission,wireless distributed computing,and network self-evolution.From the detailed analysis of these 3C-based technologies presented in this paper,we can see that although they are promising to enable an intelligent and open 6G,more efforts are needed to realize the expected 6G network.Yiqing Zhou Ling Liu Lu Wang Ning Hui Xinyu Cui Jie Wu Yan Peng Yanli Qi Chengwen Xing 2020Digital Communications and Networks2020,6,3:57
2Performance analysis for range expansion in heterogeneous networks显示文摘In this paper,the uplink and downlink performance of a two tier heterogeneous network(HetNet)with range expansion(RE)is analyzed.Different from previous works,base stations(BSs)are modeled as a spatial Poisson point process.This model can not only capture the irregularity of the BS deployment but also lead to closed form expressions.With the analytical results,the impacts of several key parameters on the coverage and throughput performance are investigated.Our results justifies the effectiveness of RE and Pico deployment.Based on our analyses,certain attention should be made on the RE design to balance the uplink and downlink performance.Our analyses are corroborated by simulations and can thus serve as a flexible and quick guidance for system design without complicated and time consuming system level platform construction and simulation.FEI ZeSong DING HaiChuan XING ChengWen NI JiQing KUANG JingMing 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,8:11
3Ergodic secrecy rate of two-user MISO interference channels with statistical CSI显示文摘This paper considers a two-user multiple-input single-output(MISO) interference channel with confidential messages(IFC-CM), where the beamforming vectors at the two transmitters are jointly optimized using the closed-form Pareto-optimal parameterization. We prove that artificial noise cannot improve the secrecy rate performance, and coordinated beamforming is secrecy-rate optimal which is achieved by agreeing on the parameters between the two transmitters. We analyze the feasible set of the beamforming parameters that guarantees positiveness of the secrecy rates when the transmitters know only statistical CSI, and then analysis in the ergodic secrecy rate region is discussed. 4Power allocation for OFDM-based cognitive heterogeneous networks显示文摘In this paper,the capacity maximization and the spectrum utilization efficiency improvement are investigated for the Pico cells in broadband heterogeneous networks.In frequency-reuse model,the users attached to Macro base station are usually viewed as primary users,and those attached to Pico base station should be regarded as cognitive radio(CR) users.As both the primary users and the CR users communicate in parallel frequency bands,the performance of the system is limited by the mutual inter-carrier interference(ICI).In order to control ICI and maximize the achievable transmission rate of the CR users,an effective power allocation scheme is proposed to maximize the transmission rate of the CR users under a given interference threshold prescribed by the primary users.By transforming this suboptimal solution into an innovative matrix expression,the algorithm is easier to perform in practice.The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides a large performance gain in Pico cell capacity over the non-cooperative and equal power allocation schemes.FEI ZeSong XING ChengWen LI Na HAN YanTao DANEV Danyo KUANG JingMing 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,4:5
5Statistically robust resource allocation for distributed multi-carrier cooperative networks显示文摘In this paper, we investigate joint subcarrier and power allocation scheme for distributed multicarrier cooperative networks with imperfect channel state information. Using practical channel estimation algorithms, the statistic model of the channel estimation error is first derived. Then based on the channel error model, the resource allocation scheme aims at maximizing the sum rate of the overall network. Specifically, both subcarrier allocation and power allocation are taken into account. In the subcarrier allocation, a realistic problem of the power leakage between neighboring subcarriers is also addressed. Furthermore, based on Lagrange dual-decomposition algorithm, a practical power allocation algorithm is proposed. 6Resource Allocation for Physical Layer Security in Heterogeneous Network with Hidden Eavesdropper显示文摘The tremendous performance gain of heterogeneous networks(Het Nets) is at the cost of complicated resource allocation. Considering information security, the resource allocation for Het Nets becomes much more challenging and this is the focus of this paper. In this paper, the eavesdropper is hidden from the macro base stations. To relax the unpractical assumption on the channel state information on eavesdropper, a localization based algorithm is first given. Then a joint resource allocation algorithm is proposed in our work, which simultaneously considers physical layer security, cross-tier interference and joint optimization of power and subcarriers under fairness requirements. It is revealed in our work that the considered optimization problem can be efficiently solved relying on convex optimization theory and the Lagrangian dual decomposition method is exploited to solve the considered problem effectively. Moreover, in each iteration the closed-form optimal resource allocation solutions can be obtained based on the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT) conditions. 7Cooperative beamforming design for physical-layer security of multi-hop MIMO communications显示文摘The security issue is critically important for wireless communications, especially for multi-hop communications. In this paper, we propose a cooperative secrecy beamforming scheme for a multi-hop MIMO communication network, in which there is a single-antenna source, multiple multi-antenna relays and a singleantenna destination. Moreover, two types of eavesdroppers exist in the network, one of which has known channel state information(CSI), while the other not. To achieve security communications, in our work null-space beamforming and artificial noise beamforming are jointly optimized to improve the secrecy rate of the multi-hop network. In nature, the joint optimization is nonconvex and challenging. Exploiting its structure, the considered optimization problem is decoupled into a series of subproblems that can be efficiently solved based on convex optimization theory. 8Distributed cooperative localization based on Gaussian message passing on factor graph in wireless networks显示文摘In conventional localization, agents may not be able to reach sufficient number of anchors to obtain unambiguous locations, especially in sparse networks. Cooperative localization is a promising solution in that harsh environment, which enables the agents to cooperate with each other by exchanging location information and performing range measurements. In this paper, a distributed cooperative localization method based on factor graph is proposed in wireless networks. Gaussian parametric messages are used to represent the messages passed on factor graph. However, because of the nonlinear observation model, no closed-form solutions can be obtained. To solve this problem, the Taylor expansion is used to approximate the nonlinear terms in message updating, which leads to the Gaussian message passing on factor graph. Accordingly, only two parameters of the Gaussian distribution have to be transmitted and the communication overhead for localization can be significantly reduced. The two proposed algorithms for the application with accurate and inaccurate anchors,respectively, are evaluated by Monte Carlo simulations and compared with the SPAWN and maximum likelihood(ML) estimator. 9Performance analysis for uplink massive MIMO systems with a large and random number of UEs显示文摘In this paper, we analyze the ergodic achievable rate of an uplink massive multi-user multipleinput multiple-output(MIMO) system with a large and Poisson distributed number of users. In the considered scenario, multiple user equipments(UEs) transmit their information to a base station equipped with a very large number of antennas. New asymptotic expressions for the ergodic achievable rate for large and deterministic number of users are derived for both maximum ratio combining(MRC) detector and zero-forcing(ZF) detector,as well as the ergodic achievable rate for large and random number of users. Simulation results assess the accuracy of these analytical expressions. It is shown that compared with the MRC detector, ZF detector can achieve much higher spectrum efficiency. 10QoE-driven resource allocation for mobile IP services in wireless network显示文摘In this study, quality of experience(QoE)-driven resource allocation for multi-applications in Internet Protocol(IP)-based wireless networks is studied. Considering that the mean opinion score(MOS) summation maximization problem is not fair to satisfy heterogeneous users' QoE with various mobile applications, we apply multi-objective optimization method to maximize each user's MOS utility. At the beginning of this work, the relationship between MOS utility and user transmission rate for three multimedia applications, that is, File Download, Internet Protocol Television, and Voice over Internet Protocol are discussed. However, the relations under diverse evaluation models are quite different and users in various mobile applications have different requirements, which make the optimization problem difficult to solve. To meet each user's minimum rate requirement,the idea of Nash bargaining solution is applied in the Hungarian-based subcarrier assignment problem. Then to simplify the power allocation problem, the concept of equivalent channel is introduced. Further by applying the tolerance membership function, we develop a fuzzy Max-Min decision model for generating an optimal power allocation solution. 11Energy-Efficient Transceiver Design for Multi-Pair Two-Way Relay Systems显示文摘In this paper, we focus on energy-efficient transceiver and relay beamforming design for multi-pair two-way relay system. The multi-antenna users and the multi-antenna relay are considered in this work. Different from the existing works, the proposed algorithm is energy-efficient which is more applicable to the future green network. It considers both the sum-MSE problem and the power consumption problem for the users under the relay power constraint. Based on the optimal condition decomposition(OCD) method, the energy-efficient precoders at the users can be designed separately with limited information exchanged. The proposed relay beamforming algorithm is based on the alternative direction method of multipliers(ADMM) which has simpler iterative solution and enjoys good convergence. 12Green UAV communications for 6G: A survey显示文摘Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) have received a wide range of attention for military and commercial applications. Enhanced with communication capability, UAVs are considered to play important roles in the Sixth Generation(6G) networks due to their low cost and flexible deployment. 6G is supposed to be an all-coverage network to provide ubiquitous connections for space, air, ground and underwater. UAVs are able to provide air-borne wireless coverage flexibly,serving as aerial base stations for ground users, as relays to connect isolated nodes, or as mobile users in cellular networks. However, the onboard energy of small UAVs is extremely limited. Thus,UAVs can be only deployed to establish wireless links temporarily. Prolonging the lifetime and developing green UAV communication with low power consumption becomes a critical challenge.In this article, a comprehensive survey on green UAV communications for 6G is carried out. Specifically, the typical UAVs and their energy consumption models are introduced. Then, the typical trends of green UAV communications are provided. In addition, the typical applications of UAVs and their green designs are discussed. 14Distributed Resource Allocation in Ultra-Dense Networks via Belief Propagation显示文摘Ultra-dense networking is widely accepted as a promising enabling technology to realize high power and spectrum efficient communications in future 5G communication systems. Although joint resource allocation schemes promise huge performance improvement at the cost of cooperation among base stations,the large numbers of user equipment and base station make jointly optimizing the available resource very challenging and even prohibitive. How to decompose the resource allocation problem is a critical issue. In this paper,we exploit factor graphs to design a distributed resource allocation algorithm for ultra dense networks,which consists of power allocation,subcarrier allocation and cell association. The proposed factor graph based distributed algorithm can decompose the joint optimization problem of resource allocation into a series of low complexity subproblems with much lower dimensionality,and the original optimization problem can be efficiently solved via solving these subproblems iteratively. In addition,based on the proposed algorithm the amounts of exchanging information overhead between the resulting subprob-lems are also reduced. The proposed distributed algorithm can be understood as solving largely dimensional optimization problem in a soft manner,which is much preferred in practical scenarios. 16An overview of multi-antenna technologies for space-ground integrated networks显示文摘Multi-antenna technologies have already achieved a series of great successes in the development of information networks. For future space-ground integrated networks(SGINs), the traditional various kinds of separated information networks will converge to a whole fully connected information network to provide more flexible and reliable services on a world scale. Regarding their great successes in existing systems, multiantenna technologies will be of critical importance for the realization of SGINs and multi-antenna technologies are definitely one of the most important enabling technologies for future converged SGINs. In this article, a comprehensive overview on multi-antenna technologies is given. We first investigate multi-antenna technologies from a theoretical viewpoint. It is shown that we can understand multi-antenna technologies in a general and unified point of view. This fact has two-fold meanings. First, the research on multi-antennas can help us understand the relationships between different technologies e.g., OFDMA, CDMA, etc. On the other hand,multi-antenna technologies are easy to integrate into various information systems. Following that, we discuss in depth the potentials and challenges of the multi-antenna technologies on different platforms and in different applications case by case.
