| 2 | Neuroprotective effects of total saponins from Rubus parvifolius L. on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats显示文摘This study examines the neuroprotective effects and mechanisms of action of total saponins from Rubus parvifolius L. (TSRP) on focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury in rats. Focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury was performed in rats using the suture method. The results indicate that intragastric injection of TSRP, at 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg, could decrease neurological impairment, reduce cerebral infarct volume, diminish pathological changes, and significantly inhibit the apoptosis of neurons surrounding the ischemic area. In addition, TSRP upregulated the expression of the anti-apoptotic factor Bcl-2, at the protein and mRNA levels, and it downregulated the expression of the pro-apoptotic factor Bax, at the protein and mRNA levels. | 3 | Preparation, microstructure and degradation performance of biomedical magnesium alloy fine wires显示文摘With the development of new biodegradable Mg alloy implant devices, the potential applications of biomedical Mg alloy fine wires are realized and explored gradually. In this study, we prepared three kinds of Mg alloy fine wires containing 4 wt% RE(Gd/Y/Nd) and 0.4 wt% Zn with the diameter less than 0.4 μm through casting, hot extruding and multi-pass cold drawing combined with intermediated annealing process. Their microstructures, mechanical and degradation properties were investigated. In comparison with the corresponding as-extruded alloy, the final fine wire has significantly refined grain with an average size of 3–4 μm, and meanwhile shows higher yield strength but lower ductility at room temperature. The degradation tests results and surface morphologies observations indicate that Mg–4Gd–0.4Zn and Mg–4Nd–0.4Zn fine wires have similar good corrosion resistance and the uniform corrosion behavior in SBF solution. | 4 | Effect of the electro-acupuncture on senile plaques and its formation in APPD/PS1D double transgenic mice显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a progressive neurodegenerative disease and its incidence will increase with age and is aggravating.The senile plaques(SPs)are one of three main pathological features in AD patients,which are formed by amyloid b-protein(Ab)overaccumulation.b-amyloid precursor protein(APP),b-site APP cleavage(BACE1),and insulin degrading enzyme(IDE)proteins participate in the process of Ab production and degradation.At present,the pathogenesis of AD is not yet clear and the current treatment methods can only relief the related symptoms of AD.The electro-acupuncture(EA)is a traditional Chinese medicine treatment combined the acupuncture and electrical stimulation and the treatment effect can also be controlled by transform the electrical frequency.Thus,in this experiment,we carried out behavioral test,immunohistochemistry(IHC),and Western Blot(WB)after different period treatments to the model mice by electro-acupuncturing“Baihui”and“Shenshu”acupoints in APPt/PS1t double transgenic mice.It was found that the EA therapy can improve the ability of learning,memory and spatial exploration,and reduce the deposition of SPs in brain of AD model mice,and reduce the expressions of APP and BACE1,increase the expression of IDE protein.These results prompt that EA can effectively alleviate the pathological process of AD.We speculate that EA may play a comprehensive role in preventing the development of AD,considering the previous data. | Qinghua Yang Shujuan Zhu Jin Xu Chenglin Tang Kaihui Wu Yanjun Wu Yiying Wang Huajun Sheng | 2019 | Genes & Diseases2019,6,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Effect of manipulation on cartilage in rats with knee osteoarthritis based on the Rho-associated protein kinase/LIM kinase 1/Cofilin signaling pathways显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of manipulation treatment on knee osteoarthritis rats and the effect on Rho-associated protein kinase(ROCK)/LIM-kinase1(LIMK1)/Cofilin signaling pathway.METHOD:Fifty Specific pathogen Free Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups(n=8 each):blank group,model group,manipulation group,celecoxib group,and manipulation combined with celecoxib group(MC group).The osteoarthritis model was established by injecting 0.2 m L 4%papain into the articular disc of the rats.After successfully establishing the model,we treated the manipulation group with pushing manipulation using one-finger-meditation to the Neixiyan(EX-LE4),Waixiyan(EX-LE5),Xuehai(SP10),Liangqiu(ST34),and Zusanli(ST36)acupoints for 10 min each time.Also,the celecoxib group was gavaged with 24 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1 )celecoxib,while the MC group was treated using both of these two methods.After four weeks,the cartilage of the right femur was removed for hematoxylin-eosin staining of the cartilage tissue.The expressions of interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in serum were observed using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Besides,we detected the expressions of ROCK,LIMK1,Phospho-LIM-kinase1(Phospho-LIMK1),Cofilin,and Phospho-Cofilin by Western blot.RESULTS:Compared to the model group,the manipulation group,celecoxib group,and MC group all exhibited superior results concerning pathological morphologic changes of cartilage,as observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and calculated using the Mankin score.Besides,in contrast to the blank group,the model group exhibited elevated serum levels of IL-1βand TNF-α(P<0.01),while the expression of ROCK,LIMK1,Phospho-LIMK1,Cofilin,and Phospho-Cofilin in cartilage were all higher(P<0.01).Also,the serum levels of IL-1βand TNF-αin each treatment group were lower(P<0.01)than in the model group.Moreover,there were lower expressions of ROCK,LIMK1,Phospho-LIMK1,Cofilin,and Phospho-Cofilin in cartilage in the manipulation group and the MC group(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the expression of ROCK,LIMK1,PhosphoLIMK1,Cofilin,and Phospho-Cofilin in cartilage in the celecoxib group were not statistically different(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:In this study,we established that manipulation has a better curative effect than celecoxib.Manipulation inhibits the development of cytoskeleton damage in cartilage and slows articular degeneration by regulating the expression of related proteins in the cytoskeletal signaling pathway. | GUO Xiao YANG Yunhao LIAO Dongmei PANG Fang YANG Zhixue ZHU Zhengwei LUO Ao TANG Chenglin | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,2: | 1 |
| 6 | Potential analysis of an automatic transplanting method for healthy potted seedlings using computer vision显示文摘Healthy seedlings transplanting is an important process in the production of vegetables and economic crops,and the transplanting quality directly affects crop yield.Automatic seedlings transplanting can improve the transplanting efficiency of seedlings.We developed a physical prototype of potted seedling automatic transplanting with a conveyor and a transplanting end-effector in the previous study.This work proposed an automatic transplanting method of healthy potted seedlings,which mainly included a detection part of seedlings growth status and a visual servo control part with the purpose of automatic transplanting seedlings high-efficiently.The seedlings and the tray cell were simultaneously detected for identifying healthy seedlings,damaged seedlings and empty cells using a machine vision algorithm when the tray was moving on the conveyor line.The visual servo model was applied to enable the collaborative operation of the machine vision and the end-effector for determining the position and attitude of grasping seedlings.The experimental results showed that the accuracy rates of the identification of empty tray cells,healthy seedling and unhealthy seedling were 96.42%,98.77%and 89.95%,respectively.Under the successful identification of the healthy seedling,the accuracy rate of grasping seedling was 96.38%.It implied that our proposed method can effectively transplant seedlings. | Xin Jin Lumei Tang Jiangtao Ji Chenglin Wang Shengsheng Wang | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,6: | 0 |

| 9 | Changes of Lipid Profile and C-Reactive Protein after Withdrawal of Xuezhikang,an Extract of Cholestin,in Patients With Stable Angina Pectoris显示文摘Objectives In addition to its lipid-lowering properties,statin decreases the level of C-reactive protein(CRP) resulting in reduction of cardiovascular events.However,information about discontinuation of statin therapy in stable cardiac patients is limited.This was a prospective cohort study to explore whether withdrawal of statin treatment could result in rebound of inflammation in patients with stable angina pectoris in a short-term course.Methods and Results 75 patients with stable angina pectoris were randomly divided into three groups:① Pretreatment with Xuezhikang(XZK,an extract of cholestin) for 6 weeks and then replaced by placebo;② Treatment with XZK throughout the study;③ Placebo.Lipid levels,highly sensitive CRP(hs-CRP) and serum cardiac troponin T(cTnT) were assessed before receiving the XZK therapy,1 day before discontinuation of XZK,and on day 1,2,3,7 and 14 after discontinuation of XZK,respectively.At day 14 after discontinuation of XZK therapy,total cholesterol,LDL-C and triglyceride significantly increased,whereas HDL-C level significantly decr-eased.The median level of hs-CRP increased signi-ficantly from the second day after withdrawal of XZK therapy.There was a prominent rebound of hs-CRP concentration 3 days after discontinuation of XZK therapy.7 to 14 days after discontinuation of XZK therapy,the hs-CRP concentration declined to a similar level as in the placebo group.Elevated cTnT level did not occur throughout the study course in either group.Conclusions Short-term discontinuation of statin therapy could induce a rapid rebound phenomenon of inflammatory response independently of changes of lipid parameters.However,it was not enough to induce myocardial injury in this cohort of patients with stable angina pectoris. | Hu Chenglin Xiang Jizhou Li Yanbo Zou Yongguang Liu Jun Tang Qizhu Huang Congxin | 2006 | South China Journal of Cardiology2006,7,2: | 0 |

| 11 | Partial organic fertilizer substitution promotes soil multifunctionality by increasing microbial community diversity and complexity显示文摘Partial substitution of synthetic nitrogen(N)with organic fertilizers(PSOF)is of great significance in improving soil ecosystem functions in systems that have deteriorated due to the excessive application of chemical N fertilizer.However,existing studies typically focus on individual soil functions,neglecting the fact that multiple functions occur simultaneously.It remains unclear how PSOF influences multiple soil functions and whether these impacts are related to soil microbial communities.Here,we examined the impacts of partial substitutions(25%–50%)of chemical N fertilizer with organic form(pig manure or municipal sludge)in a vegetable field on soil multifunctionality,by measuring a range of soil functions involving primary production(vegetable yield and quality),nutrient cycling(soil enzyme activities,ammonia volatilization,N leaching,and N runoff),and climate regulation(soil organic carbon sequestration and nitrous oxide emission).We observed that PSOF improved soil multifunctionality,with a 50%substitution of chemical N fertilizer with pig manure being the best management practice;the result was strongly related to the diversities and network complexities of bacteria and fungi.Random forest analysis further revealed that soil multifunctionality was best explained by the bacterial-fungal network complexity,followed by available phosphorus level and bacterial diversity.The PSOF also shifted the composition of bacterial and fungal communities,with increased relative abundances of dominant bacteria phyla,such as Bacteroidetes,Gemmatimonadetes,and Myxococcota,and fungal phyla,such as Basidiomycota and Olpidiomycota.The observed increases in soil multifunctionality were consistent with significant increases in the relative abundances of keystone taxa such as Blastocladiomycota,Chaetomiaceae,and Nocardiopsaceae.Together,these findings indicate that PSOF can enhance interactions within and among microbial communities and that such practices have the potential to improve soil ecosystem multifunctionality and contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture. | Quan TANG Yongqiu XIA Chaopu TI Jun SHAN Wei ZHOU Chenglin LI Xing YAN Xiaoyuan YAN | 2023 | Pedosphere2023,33,3: | 0 |
