1A Novel Strategy to Fabricate Core-Sheath Structure Piezoelectric Yarns for Wearable Energy Harvesters显示文摘Wearable and portable electronic devices based on textile structure have been widely used owing to their wearability and comfortableness.However,yarn fineness and the comfort of the fabric cannot satisfy the requirements of smart wearable devices.This work presents a novel strategy to prepare highly integrated PVDF/conductive nylon core-sheath structure piezoelectric yarns for wearable which is fabricated by combining electrospinning strategy with 2D braiding technology.The fineness of single yarns as well as strength are both improved significantly compared to previous works.The piezoelectric outputs of the yarn are still stable after 800 s fatigue test at a frequency of 4 Hz,and the cycle stability can maintain more than 3200 cycles.Furthermore,the piezoelectric yarns are further woven into piezoelectric plain fabric.According to the electrical performance,the length of the piezoelectric yarn and the thickness of the piezoelectric layer would both affect the output electrical performance.The yarn of the 10 cm in length and 600μm in fineness can produce an output voltage of 120 mV.Meanwhile,Both the piezoelectric yarn and the fabric could generate piezoelectric output signals through human movement,such as bending,walking.Therefore,the electrical and mechanical performance of the piezoelectric yarns prepared in our work could be improved significantly,and the comfortableness and durability performance of the piezoelectric fabric can satisfy most wearing requirements,which would provide some help in the field of piezoelectric wearable devices based on yarns and fabrics.Lili Xue Wei Fan Yang Yu Kai Dong Chengkun Liu Yanli Sun Cong Zhang Weichun Chen Ruixin Lei Kai Rong Qi Wang 2021Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,4:3
2Longwall mining under gateroads and gobs of abandoned small mine显示文摘Due to the use of outdated mining technology or room and pillar mining process in small coal mines, the coal recovery ratio is only 10–25%. In many regions of China, the damage area caused by the small coal mines amounted to nearly one hundred square kilometers. Therefore, special mining techniques must be taken to reclaim the wasted resource in disturbed coal areas. This paper focuses on the different mining methods by analyzing the longwall panel layout and abandoned gateroad(AG) distribution in the abandoned area of Cuijiazhai coal mine in northwestern China. On the basis of three-dimensional geological model, FLAC3 D numerical simulation was employed. The abutment pressure distribution was simulated when the panel face passed through the disturbed areas. The proper angle of the inclined face was analyzed when the panel face passed through the abandoned gateroads. The results show that the head end of the face should be 13–20 m ahead of the tail end. 3Structural insights into the membrane microdomain organization by SPFH family proteins显示文摘The lateral segregation of membrane constituents into functional microdomains,conceptually known as lipid raft,is a universal organization principle for cellular membranes in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.The widespread Stomatin,Prohibitin,Flotillin,and HflK/C(SPFH)family proteins are enriched in functional membrane microdomains at various subcellular locations,and therefore were hypothesized to play a scaffolding role in microdomain formation.In addition,many SPFH proteins are also implicated in highly specific processes occurring on the membrane.However,none of these functions is understood at the molecular level.Here we report the structure of a supramolecular complex that is isolated from bacterial membrane microdomains and contains two SPFH proteins(HflK and HflC)and a membrane-anchored AAA+protease FtsH.HflK and HflC form a circular 24-mer assembly,featuring a laterally segregated membrane microdomain(20 nm in diameter)bordered by transmembrane domains of HflK/C and a completely sealed periplasmic vault.Four FtsH hexamers are embedded inside this microdomain through interactions with the inner surface of the vault.These observations provide a mechanistic explanation for the role of HflK/C and their mitochondrial homologs prohibitins in regulating membrane-bound AAA+proteases,and suggest a general model for the organization and functionalization of membrane microdomains by SPFH proteins.Chengying Ma Chengkun Wang Dingyi Luo Lu Yan Wenxian Yang Ningning Li Ning Gao 2022Cell Research2022,32,2:0

5Tailoring light on three-dimensional photonic chips: a platform for versatile OAM mode optical interconnects显示文摘Explosive growth in demand for data traffic has prompted exploration of the spatial dimension of lightwaves, which provides a degree of freedom to expand data transmission capacity. Various techniques basedon bulky optical devices have been proposed to tailor light waves in the spatial dimension. However, theirinherent large size, extra loss, and precise alignment requirements make these techniques relativelydifficult to implement in a compact and flexible way. In contrast, three-dimensional (3D) photonic chips withcompact size and low loss provide a promising miniaturized candidate for tailoring light in the spatialdimension. Significantly, they are attractive for chip-assisted short-distance spatial mode optical interconnectsthat are challenging to bulky optics. Here, we propose and fabricate femtosecond laser-inscribed 3D photonicchips to tailor orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes in the spatial dimension. Various functions on theplatform of 3D photonic chips are experimentally demonstrated, including the generation, (de)multiplexing,and exchange of OAM modes. Moreover, chip-chip and chip–fiber–chip short-distance optical interconnectsusing OAM modes are demonstrated in the experiment with favorable performance. 7Comparison of intestinal absorption characteristics between rhubarb traditional Chinese medicine preparation and activity ingredients using in situ and in vitro model显示文摘Objective: The intestinal absorption characteristics of active ingredients are very important for oral administration of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.However, a deeper understanding about active ingredients absorption characteristics is still lack. The aim of this study was to investigate the absorption properties and mechanism of rhubarb active ingredients in TCM preparation and pure form.Methods: The intestinal absorption behavior of active ingredients in Shenkang extract(SKE) and rhubarb anthraquinone ingredients(RAI) were investigated by in situ single-pass intestinal perfusion model. And the bidirectional transport characteristics of these active ingredients were assessed by in vitro Caco-2 cell monolayer model.Results: In situ experiment on Sprague-Dawley rats, the effective permeability coefficient values of aloeemodin, emodin and chrysophanol in RAI were higher than those in SKE, and the value of rhein in RAI was lower than that in SKE. But the easily absorbed segments of intestine were consistent for all ingredients,whether in SKE or in RAI. In vitro experiment, the apparent permeability coefficient values of rhein, emodin and chrysophanol in RAI were higher than those in SKE, and this value of aloe-emodin in RAI was lower than that in SKE. But their efflux ratio(ER) values in SKE and RAI were all similar.Conclusion: Four rhubarb anthraquinone ingredients in SKE and RAI have similar absorption mechanism and different absorption behavior, and the microenvironment of the study models influenced their absorption behavior. 8A broadband integrated microwave photonic mixer based on balanced photodetection显示文摘An integrated microwave photonic mixer based on silicon photonic platforms is proposed,which consist of a dual-drive Mach–Zehnder modulator and a balanced photodetector.The modulated optical signals from microwave photonic links can be directly demodulated and down-converted to intermediate frequency(IF)signals by the photonic mixer.The converted signal is obtained by conducting of-chip subtraction of the outputs from the balanced photodetector,and subsequent fltering of the high frequency items by an electrical low-pass flter.Benefting from balanced detection,the conversion gain of the IF signal is improved by 6 dB,and radio frequency leakage and common-mode noise are suppressed signifcantly.System-level simulations show that the frequency mixing system has a spurious-free dynamic range of 89 dB·Hz^(2/3),even with deteriorated linearity caused by the two cascaded modulators.The spur suppression ratio of the photonic mixer remains higher than 40 dB when the IF varies from 0.5 to 4 GHz.The electrical-electrical 3 dB bandwidth of frequency conversion is 11 GHz.The integrated frequency mixing approach is quite simple,requiring no extra optical flters or electrical 90°hybrid coupler,which makes the system more stable and with broader bandwidth so that it can meet the potential demand in practical applications.Zhenzhu Xu Li Mei Yuhua Chong Xudong Gao Shoubao Han Chengkun Yang Lin Li 2023Frontiers of Optoelectronics2023,16,2:0
