| 1 | Unique characteristics of the genetics epidemiology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in China显示文摘Continual discoveries of new genes and unraveling the genetic etiology in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) have provided greater insight into the underlying pathogenesis in motor neuron degeneration, as well as facilitating the disease modeling and the testing of targeted therapeutics. While, the genetic etiology accounted for two-thirds of FALS and approximately 11% of SALS in Caucasians. However, the contributions of these causative genes to ALS vary among different populations. Furthermore, the prominent difference between Chinese population and other ethnics remains a source of ongoing debate. We systemically reviewed genetics literature of Chinese ALS populations and updated the mutation frequencies of the main ALS-implicated genes aiming to determine the genetic features of ALS in Chinese population. We also reviewed the associations between ALSimplicated single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) and the risk of ALS in Chinese population. A total of 116 studies were included in this analysis(86 gene mutation study articles and 30 SNPs study articles). The results showed that the overall gene mutation rates of ALS-related causative genes were 55.0% in familial ALS(FALS) and 11.7% in sporadic ALS(SALS) in Chinese population. In Chinese FALS, the highest mutation frequency was found in SOD1 gene(25.6%), followed by FUS(5.8%), TARDBP(5.8%), DCTN1(3.6%) and C9 orf 72(3.5%). In Chinese SALS, the highest mutation frequency was also identified in SOD1 gene(1.6%), followed by ANXA11(1.4%), FUS(1.3%), SQSTM1(1.0%), OPTN(0.9%) and CCNF(0.8%).The associations between several SNPs and risk of ALS were also reported in Chinese population. The genetic features of ALS in Chinese population are significantly different from those in Caucasian population, indicating an association between genetic susceptibility and origin of population. | 2 | Exchange-coupling interaction and effective anisotropy in nanocomposite permanent materials显示文摘Taking Nd2Fe14B/α-Fe as example, the exchange-coupling interactions between magnetically soft and hard grains in nanocomposite permanent materials and their effects on the effective anisotropy of materials were investigated. The calculation results expressed that the exchange-coupling interactions are enhanced with the reduction of grain size, and the effective anisotropy of materials decreases with the reduction of gram size and the increase of magnetically soft phase component. The remanence and the effective anisotropy of materials possess the opposite variation trend with the change of grain size and phase ratio. | 3 | Trace Amounts of Triple-Functional Additives Enable Reversible Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries from a Comprehensive Perspective显示文摘Although their cost-effectiveness and intrinsic safety,aqueous zinc-ion batteries suffer from notorious side reactions including hydrogen evolution reaction,Zn corrosion and passivation,and Zn dendrite formation on the anode.Despite numerous strategies to alleviate these side reactions have been demonstrated,they can only provide limited performance improvement from a single aspect.Herein,a triple-functional additive with trace amounts,ammonium hydroxide,was demonstrated to comprehensively protect zinc anodes.The results show that the shift of electrolyte pH from 4.1 to 5.2 lowers the HER potential and encourages the in situ formation of a uniform ZHS-based solid electrolyte interphase on Zn anodes.Moreover,cationic NH^(4+)can preferentially adsorb on the Zn anode surface to shield the“tip effect”and homogenize the electric field.Benefitting from this comprehensive protection,dendrite-free Zn deposition and highly reversible Zn plating/stripping behaviors were realized.Besides,improved electrochemical performances can also be achieved in Zn//MnO_(2)full cells by taking the advantages of this triple-functional additive.This work provides a new strategy for stabilizing Zn anodes from a comprehensive perspective. | Ruwei Chen Wei Zhang Quanbo Huang Chaohong Guan Wei Zong Yuhang Dai Zijuan Du Zhenyu Zhang Jianwei Li Fei Guo Xuan Gao Haobo Dong Jiexin Zhu Xiaohui Wang Guanjie He | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,6: | 2 |

| 17 | The efficacies and biomarker investigations of antiprogrammed death-1 (anti-PD-1)-based therapies for metastatic bone and soft tissue sarcoma显示文摘Objective:Sarcomas are a group of rare malignancies with various subtypes.Patients with metastatic sarcoma who have failed traditional treatments can possibly achieve better prognoses from using novel therapies,including anti-programmed death-1(PD-1)-based therapies.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed clinical data of 24 metastatic sarcoma patients from June 15,2016 to December 30,2019.These patients mainly received angiogenesis inhibitors combined with anti-PD-1 therapy after they became resistant to traditional treatments.Furthermore,8 patients underwent panel DNA and whole transcript sequencing.Results:Six patients received 2 cycles of anti-PD-1 therapy and were included in the safety evaluation only group.The median follow-up time was 5.77 months.The median progression-free survival was 7.59 months,the overall response rate was 16.7%and the disease control rate was 55.6%.Based on whole exome and transcript sequencing data,there was no association between TMB,TNB,MSI,HLA-LOH,and PD-L1 expressions and sarcoma types with clinical responses.Immunotherapy efficacy and bioinformatics analyses indicated higher intratumoral heterogeneity(ITH)in progressive disease(PD)patients and lower ITH in partial response(PR)and stable disease patients.A higher percentage of immune cell infiltration,especially monocytes,was observed in PR patients.Active stromal gene expression was increased in PD patients but decreased in PR patients.Enrichment analysis revealed that an increased TGF-βsignaling pathway was reversely correlated with anti-PD-1 efficacy,while a decreased inflammatory response signaling pathway was positively correlated with anti-PD-1 efficacy.Conclusions:Our study showed PD-1 inhibitors combined with anti-angiogenesis agents were effective and well-tolerated.ITH,monocyte ratio,stroma subtypes,and the status of immune-associated signaling pathways may be related with anti-PD-1 based therapy. | Jia Lu Ting Li Zhichao Liao Hui Yu Yongtian Zhao Haixiao Wu Zhiwu Ren Jun Zhao Ruwei Xing Sheng Teng Yun Yang Xiangchun Li Kexin Chen Jonathan Trent Jilong Yang | 2022 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,6: | 0 |
