1Fabrication and characterization of novel meso-porous carbon/n-octadecane as form-stable phase change materials for enhancement of phase-change behavior显示文摘In this study, series of novel composite phase change materials(PCMs) were prepared through vacuum impregnation by using meso-porous carbon as a supporting matrix and n-octadcane as PCMs.The meso-porous carbon material was prepared through one-pot co-assembly method, using resorcinol and formaldehyde as carbon precursor, tetraethoxysilane as silica sources and triblock copolymer F127 as a template. And the phase behaviors of n-octadcane confined in the nano-porous structure of the meso-porous carbon were further investigated. Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy spectra show that n-octadecane was effectively encapsulated in the porous structure of mesoporous carbon and the composite PCMs were successfully prepared. Differential scanning calorimetry results confirm that the composite PCMs possess a good phase change behavior, fast thermal-response rate and excellent thermal cycling stability. In addition, the composite PCMs possess expected heat storage and heat release properties. 2Analysis of cascading failures of power cyber-physical systems considering false data injection attacks显示文摘This study considers the performance impacts of false data injection attacks on the cascading failures of a power cyber-physical system,and identifies vulnerable nodes.First,considering the monitoring and control functions of a cyber network and power flow characteristics of a power network,a power cyber-physical system model is established.Then,the influences of a false data attack on the decision-making and control processes of the cyber network communication processes are studied,and a cascading failure analysis process is proposed for the cyber-attack environment.In addition,a vulnerability evaluation index is defined from two perspectives,i.e.,the topology integrity and power network operation characteristics.Moreover,the effectiveness of a power flow betweenness assessment for vulnerable nodes in the cyberphysical environment is verified based on comparing the node power flow betweenness and vulnerability assessment index.Finally,an IEEE14-bus power network is selected for constructing a power cyber-physical system.Simulations show that both the uplink communication channel and downlink communication channel suffer from false data attacks,which affect the ability of the cyber network to suppress the propagation of cascading failures,and expand the scale of the cascading failures.The vulnerability evaluation index is calculated for each node,so as to verify the effectiveness of identifying vulnerable nodes based on the power flow betweenness.Jian Li Chaowei Sun Qingyu Su 2021Global Energy Interconnection2021,4,2:3

4Inhibition of the toxic byproduct during photocatalytic NO oxidation via La doping in ZnO显示文摘It is of a great challenge to develop semiconductor photocatalysts with potential possibilities to simultaneously enhance photocatalytic efficiency and inhibit generation of toxic intermediates.In this study,we developed a facile method to induce the La doping and cationic vacancie(V(Zn))on ZnO for the highly efficient complete NO oxidation.The photocatalytic NO removal efficiency increases from 36.2%to 53,6%.Most importantly,a significant suppressed NO2 production also has been realized.According to the DFT calculations,ESR spectra and in situ FTIR spectra,the introduction of La^3+induce the redistribution of charge carriers in La-ZnO,which promote the production of·O2^- and lead to the formation of V(Zn)for the formation of·OH,contributing to the complete oxidation of NO to nitrate.Besides,the conversion pathway of photocatalytic NO oxidation has been elaborated,This work paves a new way to simultaneously realize the photocatalytic pollutants removal and the inhibition of toxic intermediates generation for efficient and safe air purification.Chaowei Yuan Wen Cui Yanjuan Sun Jiadong Wang Ruimin Chen Jin Zhang Yuxin Zhang Fan Dong 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3:3
5Structural mechanism of cooperative activation of the human calcium-sensing receptor by Ca^(2+) ions and L-tryptophan显示文摘The human calcium-sensing receptor(CaSR)is a class C G protein-coupled receptor(GPCR)responsible for maintaining Ca^(2+)homeostasis in the blood.The general consensus is that extracellular Ca^(2+)is the principal agonist of CaSR.Aliphatic and aromatic L-amino acids,such as L-Phe and L-Trp,increase the sensitivity of CaSR towards Ca^(2+)and are considered allosteric activators.Crystal structures of the extracellular domain(ECD)of CaSR dimer have demonstrated Ca^(2+)and L-Trp binding sites and conformational changes of the ECD upon Ca^(2+)/L-Trp binding.However,it remains to be understood at the structural level how Ca^(2+)/L-Trp binding to the ECD leads to conformational changes in transmembrane domains(TMDs)and consequent CaSR activation.Here,we determined the structures of full-length human CaSR in the inactive state,Ca^(2+)-or L-Trp-bound states,and Ca^(2+)/L-Trp-bound active state using single-particle cryo-electron microscopy.Structural studies demonstrate that L-Trp binding induces the closure of the Venus flytrap(VFT)domain of CaSR,bringing the receptor into an intermediate active state.Ca^(2+)binding relays the conformational changes from the VFT domains to the TMDs,consequently inducing close contact between the two TMDs of dimeric CaSR,activating the receptor.Importantly,our structural and functional studies reveal that Ca^(2+)ions and L-Trp activate CaSR cooperatively.Amino acids are not able to activate CaSR alone,but can promote the receptor activation in the presence of Ca^(2+).Our data provide complementary insights into the activation of class C GPCRs and may aid in the development of novel drugs targeting CaSR.Shenglong Ling Pan Shi Sanling Liu Xianyu Meng Yingxin Zhou Wenjing Sun Shenghai Chang Xing Zhang Longhua Zhang Chaowei Shi Demeng Sun Lei Liu Changlin Tian 2021Cell Research2021,31,4:3

9Integrating Optical and Microwave Satellite Observations for High Resolution Soil Moisture Estimate and Applications in CONUS Drought Analyses显示文摘In this study, optical and microwave satellite observations are integrated to estimate soil moisture at the same spatial resolution as the optical sensors (5km here) and applied for drought analysis in the continental United States. A new refined model is proposed to include auxiliary data like soil texture, topography, surface types, accumulated precipitation, in addition to Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Land Surface Temperature (LST) used in the traditional universal triangle method. It is found the new proposed soil moisture model using accumulated precipitation demonstrated close agreements with the U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) spatial patterns. Currently, the USDM is providing a weekly map. Recently,“flash” drought concept appears. To obtain drought map on daily basis, LST is derived from microwave observations and downscaled to the same resolution as the thermal infrared LST product and used to fill the gaps due to clouds in optical LST data. With the integrated daily LST available under nearly all weather conditions, daily soil moisture can be estimated at relatively higher spatial resolution than those traditionally derived from passive microwave sensors, thus drought maps based on soil moisture anomalies can be obtained on daily basis and made the flash drought analysis and monitoring become possible.Donglian Sun Yu Li Xiwu Zhan Chaowei Yang Ruixin Yang 2018Remote Sensing2018,7,1:0
10Alleviating eutrophication by reducing the abundance of Cyanophyta due to dissolved inorganic carbon fertilization:Insights from Erhai Lake,China显示文摘The eutrophication of lakes is a global environmental problem.Regulating nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)on phytoplankton is considered to be the most important basis of lake eutrophication management.Therefore,the effects of dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC)on phytoplankton and its role in mitigating lake eutrophication have often been overlooked.In this study,the relationships between phytoplankton and DIC concentrations,carbon isotopic composition,nutrients(N and P),and hydrochemistry in the Erhai Lake(a karst lake)were investigated.The results showed that when the dissolved carbon dioxide(CO_(2)(aq))concentrations in the water were higher than 15μmol/L,the productivity of phytoplankton was controlled by the concentrations of TP and TN,especially by that of TP.When the N and P were sufficient and the CO_(2)(aq)concentrations were lower than 15μmol/L,the phytoplankton productivity was controlled by the concentrations of TP and DIC,especially by that of DIC.Additionally,DIC significantly affected the composition of the phytoplankton community in the lake(p<0.05).When the CO_(2)(aq)concentrations were higher than 15μmol/L,the relative abundance of Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta was much higher than those of harmful Cyanophyta.Thus,high concentrations of CO_(2)(aq)can inhibit harmful Cyanophyta blooms.Chaowei Lai Zhen Ma Zaihua Liu Hailong Sun Qingchun Yu Fan Xia Xuejun He Qian Bao Yongqiang Han Xing Liu Haibo He 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,9:0
11Direct incorporation of paraffin wax as phase change material into mass concrete for temperature control: mechanical and thermal properties显示文摘Taking advantage of heat absorbing and releasing capability of phase change material(PCM),Paraffin wax-based concrete was prepared to assess its automatic temperature control performance.The mechanical properties of PCM concrete with eight different Paraffin wax contents were tested by the cube compression test and four-point bending test.The more Paraffin wax incorporated,the greater loss of the compressive strength and bending strength.Based on the mechanical results,four contents of Paraffin wax were chosen for studying PCM concrete's thermal properties,including thermal conductivity,thermal diffusivity,specific heat capacity,thermal expansion coefficient and adiabatic temperature rise.When the Paraffin wax content increases from 10%to 20%,the thermal conductivity and the thermal diffusivity decrease from 7.31 kJ/(m·h·°C)to 7.10 kJ/(m·h·°C)and from 3.03×10−3 m2/h to 2.44×10−3 m2/h,respectively.Meanwhile the specific heat capacity and thermal expansion coefficient rise from 5.38×10−1 kJ/(kg·°C)to 5.76×10−1 kJ/(kg·°C)and from 9.63×10−6/°C to 14.02×10−6/°C,respectively.The adiabatic temperature rise is found to decrease with an increasing Paraffin wax content.Considering both the mechanical and thermal properties,15%of Paraffin wax was elected for the mass concrete model test,and the model test results confirm the effect of Paraffin wax in automatic mass concrete temperature control.Tao Luo JuanJuan Ma Fang Liu MingYi Zhang ChaoWei Sun YanJun Ji XiaoSa Yuan 2021Research in Cold and Arid Regions2021,13,1:0
12Allosteric conformational changes of G proteins upon its interaction with membrane and GPCR显示文摘Current resolved structures of GPCRs and G protein complexes provided important insights into G protein activation. However, the binding or dissociation of GPCRs with G protein is instantaneous and highly dynamic in the intracellular environment. The conformational dynamic of G protein still needs to be addressed. In this study, we applied ^(19)F solution NMR spectroscopy to monitor the conformational changes of G protein upon interact with detergent mimicking membrane and receptor. Our results show that there are two states equilibria in the G_(α)in apo states. The interaction of G_(α)with detergents will accelerate this conformational transformation and induce a state that tends to bind to GPCRs. 14Manufacturing of ceramic cores:From hot injection to 3D printing显示文摘With the improvement of aero-engine performance,the preparation of hollow blades of single-crystal superalloys with complex inner cavity cooling structures is becoming increasingly urgent.The ceramic core is the key intermediate part of the preparation and has attracted wide attention.To meet this challenge,new technologies that can make up for the defects of long periods and high costs of fabricating complex structural cores by traditional hot injection technology are needed.Vat photopolymerization 3D printing ceramic technology has been applied to the core field to realize the rapid preparation of complex structural cores.However,the industrial application of this technology still needs further research and improvement.Herein,ceramic cores were prepared using traditional hot injection and vat photopolymerization 3D printing techniques using fused silica,nano-ZrO_(2),and Al_(2)O_(3) powders as starting materials.The 3D printed ceramic core has a typical layered structure with a small pore size and low porosity.Because of the layered structure,the pore area is larger than that of the hot injection ceramic core,the leaching performance has little effect(0.0277 g/min for 3D printing cores,0.298 g/min for hot injection cores).In the X and Y directions,the sintering shrinkage is low(2.7%),but in the Z direction,the shrinkage is large(4.7%).The fracture occurs when the inner layer crack expands and connects with the interlayer crack,forming a stepped fracture in the 3D-printed cores.The bending strength of the 3D printed core at high temperature(1500℃)is 17.3 MPa.These analyses show that the performance of vat photopolymerization 3D-printed ceramic cores can meet the casting requirements of single crystal superalloy blades,which is a potential technology for the preparation of complex structure ceramic cores.The research mode of 3D printing core technology based on the traditional hot injection process provides an effective new idea for promoting the industrial application of 3D printing core technology.Qiaolei Li Tianci Chen Jingjing Liang Chaowei Zhang Jinguo Li Yizhou Zhou Xiaofeng Sun 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,3:0
