| 1 | Fabrication of the Superhydrophobic Surface on Magnesium Alloy and Its Corrosion Resistance显示文摘The superhydrophobic surface was fabricated on the AZ31 alloy by the combination of the hydrothermal treatment method and post modification with stearic acid. The superhydrophobic surface showed a static water contact angle of 157.6°. The characteristics of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). The corrosion resistance of the superhydrophobic coatings was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). | 3 | Geochemistry, Geochronology and Lu-Hf Isotopes of Peraluminous Granitic Porphyry from the Walegen Au Deposit, West Qinling Terrane显示文摘Walegen Au deposit is closely correlated with granitic intrusions of Triassic age, which are composed of granite and quartz porphyries. Both granite porphyry and quartz porphyry consist of quartz, feldspar and muscovite as primary minerals. Weakly peraluminous granite porphyry(A/CNK=1.10–1.15) is enriched in LREE, depleted in HREE with Nb-Ta-Ti anomalies, and displays subduction-related geochemistry. Quartz porphyry is strongly peraluminous(A/CNK=1.64–2.81) with highly evolved components, characterized by lower TiO_2, REE contents, Mg~#, K/Rb, Nb/Ta, Zr/Hf ratios and higher Rb/Sr ratios than the granite porphyry. REE patterns of quartz porphyry exhibit lanthanide tetrad effect, resulting from mineral fractionation or participation of fluids with enriched F and Cl. LAICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating indicates quartz porphyry formed at 233±3 Ma. The ages of relict zircons from Triassic magmatic rocks match well with the detrital zircons from regional area. In addition, ε_(Hf)(t) values of Triassic magmatic zircons from the granite and quartz porphyries are -14.2 to -9.1(with an exception of +4.1) and -10.8 to -8.6 respectively, indicating a crustal-dominant source. Regionally, numerous Middle Triassic granitoids were previously reported to be formed under the consumption of Paleotethyan Ocean. | 4 | Key CO_(2)capture technology of pure oxygen exhaust gas combustion for syngas-fueled high-temperature fuel cells显示文摘Integrated gasification fuel cells(IGFCs)integrating high-temperature solid oxide fuel cell technology with CO_(2)capture processes represents highly-efficient power systems with negligible CO_(2)emissions.Flame burning with pure oxygen is an ideal method for fuel cell exhaust gas treatment,and this report describes experimental and numerical studies regarding an oxy-combustor for treating the exhaust gas of a 10 kW IGFC system anode.The applied simulation method was verified based on experiments,and the key performance indices of the combustor were studied under various conditions.It was determined that 315 K was the ideal condensation temperature to obtain flame stability.Under these pure oxygen flame burning conditions,CO was almost completely converted,and the dry mole fraction of CO_(2)after burning was C 0.958 when there was up to 5%excess O_(2).Overall,5%excess O_(2)was recommended to maximize CO_(2)capture and promote other environmental considerations.Additionally,the optimal tangential fuel jet angle to control the liner temperature was approximately 25°.The total fuel utilization had to be high enough to maintain the oxygen flame temperature of the anode exhaust gas below 1800 K to ensure that the system was environmentally friendly.The results presented herein have great value for designing IGFCs coupled with CO_(2)capture systems. | Hanlin Wang Qilong Lei Pingping Li Changlei Liu Yunpeng Xue Xuewei Zhang Chufu Li Zhibin Yang | 2021 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2021,8,3: | 3 |
| 5 | Silurian Sedimentation in the South Qilian Belt: Arc-Continent Collision-related Deposition in the NE Tibet Plateau?显示文摘The South Qilian belt mainly comprises an early Paleozoic arc-ophiolite complex, accretionary prism, microcontinental block, and foreland basin. These elements represent accretion-collision during Cambrian to Silurian time in response to closure of the Proto-Tethyan Ocean in the NE of the present-day Tibet Plateau. Closure of the Proto-Tethyan Ocean between the Central Qilian block and the Oulongbuluke block and the associated collision took place from NE to SW in a zipper-like style. Sediment would have been dispersed longitudinally SW-ward with a progressive facies migration from marginal alluvial sediments toward slope deep-water and deep-sea turbidites. This migration path indicates an ocean basin that shrank toward the SW. The Balonggongga'er Formation in the western South Qilian belt represents the fill of a latest Ordovician-Silurian remnant ocean basin that separated the Oulongbuluke block from the Central Qilian block, and records Silurian closure of the Proto-Tethyan Ocean and subduction beneath the Central Qilian block. However, alluvial deposits in the Lajishan area were accumulated in a retro-foreland basin, indicating that continent-continent collision in the eastern South Qilian belt occurred at c. 450–440 Ma. | 6 | SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor-binding domain perturbates intracellular calcium homeostasis and impairs pulmonary vascular endothelial cells显示文摘Exposure to the spike protein or receptor-binding domain(S-RBD)of SARS-CoV-2 significantly influences endothelial cells and induces pulmonary vascular endotheliopathy.In this study,angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 humanized inbred(hACE2 Tg)mice and cultured pulmonary vascular endothelial cells were used to investigate how spike protein/S-RBD impacts pulmonary vascular endothelium.Results show that S-RBD leads to acute-to-prolonged induction of the intracellular free calcium concentration([Ca^(2+)]i)via acute activation of TRPV4,and prolonged upregulation of mechanosensitive channel Piezo1 and store-operated calcium channel(SOCC)key component Orai1 in cultured human pulmonary arterial endothelial cells(PAECs).In mechanism,S-RBD interacts with ACE2 to induce formation of clusters involving Orai1,Piezo1 and TRPC1,facilitate the channel activation of Piezo1 and SOCC,and lead to elevated apoptosis.These effects are blocked by Kobophenol A,which inhibits the binding between S-RBD and ACE2,or intracellular calcium chelator,BAPTA-AM.Blockade of Piezo1 and SOCC by GsMTx4 effectively protects the S-RBDinduced pulmonary microvascular endothelial damage in hACE2 Tg mice via normalizing the elevated[Ca^(2+)]i.Comparing to prototypic strain,Omicron variants(BA.5.2 and XBB)of S-RBD induces significantly less severe cell apoptosis.Transcriptomic analysis indicates that prototypic S-RBD confers more severe acute impacts than Delta or Lambda S-RBD.In summary,this study provides compelling evidence that S-RBD could induce persistent pulmonary vascular endothelial damage by binding to ACE2 and triggering[Ca^(2+)]i through upregulation of Piezo1 and Orai1.Targeted inhibition of ACE2-Piezo1/SOCC-[Ca^(2+)]i axis proves a powerful strategy to treat S-RBD-induced pulmonary vascular diseases. | Kai Yang Shiyun Liu Han Yan Wenju Lu Xiaoqian Shan Haixia Chen Changlei Bao Huazhuo Feng Jing Liao Shuxin Liang Lei Xu Haiyang Tang Jason X-J.Yuan Nanshan Zhong Jian Wang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,8: | 2 |
| 7 | In-Situ Chemosynthesis of ZnO Nanoparticles to Endow Wood with Antibacterial and UV-Resistance Properties显示文摘Hybrid wood materials have attracted considerable attention because they have combined advantages of both wood and inorganic compounds. This work investigated the microstructural morphology, thermal stability, ultraviolet(UV) stability, and antibacterial property of composites made from wood/ZnO hybrid materials through a facile in-situ chemosynthesis methods. The X-ray diffraction(XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) results indicated that the synthesized ZnO particles had an average grain size of about 10.8 nm. The scanning electron microscopy(SEM) observations showed that ZnO nanoflowers self-assembled with nanosheets were presented in wood cell lumens and increased with increasing Zn^(2+)concentrations. ZnO nanoparticles were also generated in the wood cell wall, which was confirmed by the results of energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS). The TGA tests also indicated that the thermal stability of wood/ZnO hybrid materials was improved after the formation of ZnO inorganic particles. | 8 | Visible Raman and Brillouin lasers from a microresonator/ZBLAN-fiber hybrid system显示文摘Raman and Brillouin lasers based on a high-quality(high-Q) whispering gallery mode microresonator(WGMR)are usually achieved by employing a tunable single-frequency laser as a pump source. Here, we experimentally demonstrate visible Raman and Brillouin lasers using a compact microresonator/ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF(ZBLAN)-fiber hybrid system by incorporating a WGMR with a fiber-compatible distributed Bragg reflector/fiber Bragg grating to form a Fabry–Perot(F-P) fiber cavity and using a piece of Pr:ZBLAN fiber as gain medium.The high-Q silica-microsphere not only offers a Rayleigh-scattering-induced backreflection to form the ~635 nm red laser oscillation in the F-P fiber cavity, but also provides a nonlinear gain in the WGMR itself to generate either stimulated Raman scattering or stimulated Brillouin scattering. Up to six-order cascaded Raman lasers at0.65 μm, 0.67 μm, 0.69 μm, 0.71 μm, 0.73 μm, and 0.76 μm are achieved, respectively. Moreover, a Brillouin laser at 635.54 nm is clearly observed. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first demonstration of visible microresonator-based lasers created by combining a Pr:ZBLAN fiber.
