2Relationship between the imaging features and pathologic alteration in hepatoma of rats显示文摘AIM: The imaging features of MRI and DSA, using the modelsof implanted and induced hepatoma, were investigated in rats.METHODS: CBRH3 cancer cells were implanted for differentliver site of rat liver and the diethylnitrosoamine was givenorally to rats in order to induce liver cancer. Both experimentalgroups were detected by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and morphologic assay.RESULTS: Hypointensity on T1WI and homogenous highsignal intensity on T2WI in MRI, and ring-like abnormal stainon DSA were found in implanted cancer. Induced cancersappeared as homogeneous or heterogeneous hypointensityon T1WI (10 cases), and equal or slight high intensity onT2WI (8 cases), but some as hypointensity on T2WI (2 cases).CONCLUSION: The imaging features of implanted cancerswere similar to that of human liver metastases. Therefore, itcould serve as an experimental model of human liver metastatictumor. The imaging feature of induced cancers, whereas, weresimilar to that of human primary liver cancer. 3Formation mechanism of in-situ volcanic reservoirs in eastern China:A case study from Xushen gasfield in Songliao Basin显示文摘A large number of in-situ volcanic reservoirs have been discovered from the Meso-Cenozoic rift basin group in eastern China.Based on drilling results in combination with geological and geophysical analysis,a case study from the Early Cretaceous Xujiaweizi fault-depression shows that the formation mechanism of in-situ volcanic reservoirs is characterized by'fault-controlled body,body-controlled facies,facies-controlled reservoir,and reservoir-controlled accumulation'.In other words,deep faults control the volcanic eruption type,volcanic body,and gas reservoir distribution;the volcanic body determines the spatial distribution of volcanic facies and volcanic gas reservoir size;the volcanic facies control reservoir physical properties and effective thickness of gas formation;the volcanic reservoir properties control gas reservoir type and gas productivity.The result is useful to guiding the discovery of in-situ volcanic gas reservoirs in faulted basins in both theory and practice.FENG ZiHui YIN ChangHai LIU JiaJun ZHU YingKang LU JiaMin LI JiangHai 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,12:12
4Endoscopic management of biliary complications after orthotopic liver transplantation显示文摘BACKGROUND: Biliary complications are a serious problem in patients after liver transplantation and often require reoperation. This study was conducted to summarize the endoscopic diagnosis and management of biliary complications after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). METHODS: From December 2000 to November 2003, twelve endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographies(ERCPs) were performed in 7 patients after OLT at Digestive Endoscopic Center of Changhai Hospital in Shanghai, China. The therapeutic maneuvers included endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST), biliary stent placement, balloon and basket extraction, irrigation, and nasobiliary tube placement. A retrospective study was made to determine the types of biliary tract complications after OLT. The success of ERCP and therapeutic maneuvers was also evaluated. RESULTS: Biliary tract complications including biliary stricture, biliary leak, biliary sludge, and stump leak of the cyst duct were treated respectively by endoscopic sphincterotomy with sludge extraction, stricture dilation or endoscopic retrograde biliary drainage. Two of the 3 patients with proximal common bile duct stricture were successfully treated with ERCP and stent placement. Four patients with anastomotic stricture and/without bile leak were treated successfully by dilation and stent placement or endoscopic nosobiliary drainage. No severe ERCP-related complications occurred. 5Ultraselective carbon molecular sieve membrane for hydrogen purification显示文摘Hydrogen is a green clean fuel and chemical feedstock. Its separation and purification from hydrogencontaining mixtures is the key step in the production of hydrogen with high purity(>99.99%). In this work, carbon molecular sieve(CMS) membranes with ultrahigh permselectivity for hydrogen purification were fabricated by high-temperature(700–900 ℃) pyrolysis of polymeric precursor of phenolphthaleinbased cardo poly(arylene ether ketone)(PEK-C). The evolution of the microstructural texture and ultramicroporous structure and gas separation performance of the CMS membrane were characterized via TG-MS, FT-IR, XRD, TEM, CO2 sorption analysis and gas permeation measurements. CMS membranes prepared at 700 ℃ exhibited amorphous turbostratic carbon structures and high H2 permeability of 5260 Barrer with H2/CH4, H2/N2 and H2/CO selectivities of 311, 142, 75, respectively. When carbonized at900 ℃, the CMS membrane with ultrahigh H2/CH4 selectivity of 1859 was derived owing to the formation of the dense and ordered carbon structure. 6Distribution of cagG gene in Helicobacter pylori isolates from Chinese patients with different gastroduodenal diseases and its clinical and pathological significance显示文摘AIM: To determine the distribution of cagG gene of Helicobacter pylori(Hpylori) isolates cultured from patients with various digestive diseases and its relationship with gastroduodenal diseases.METHODS: cagG was amplified by polymerase chain reaction in 145 H pylori isolates cultured from patients with chronic gastritis (n=72), duodenal ulcer (n=48), gastric ulcer (n=17), or gastric and duodenal ulcer (n=8), and the relationship between cagGstatus and the grade of gastric mucosal inflammation was determined.RESULTS: cagG was present in 91.7% of the 145 H pylori isolates, with the rates were 90.3%, 93.8%, 88.2% and 100.0%, respectively, in those from patients with chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, and gastric and duodenal ulcer. There was no significant difference among the four groups (P>0.05). The average grade of gastric mucosal inflammation in the antrum and corpus was 1.819±0.325and 1.768±0.312, respectively in cagG positive patients,whereas the average inflammation grade was 1.649±0.297,1.598±0.278 respectively in cagG negative cases (P>0.05).CONCLUSION: cagG gene of H pylori was quite conservative,and most H pylori strains in Chinese patients were cagG positive.cagG status was not related to clinical outcome or the degree of gastric mucosal inflammation. 7Diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune pancreatitis: experience with 100 patients显示文摘BACKGROUND: Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is increasingly recognized as a unique subtype of pancreatitis. This study aimed to analyze the diagnosis and treatment of AIP patients from a tertiary care center in China.METHODS: One hundred patients with AIP who had been treated from January 2005 to December 2012 in our hospital were enrolled in this study. We retrospectively reviewed the data of clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, imaging examinations, pathological examinations, treatment and outcomes of the patients.RESULTS: The median age of the patients at onset was 57 years (range 23-82) with a male to female ratio of 8.1:1. The common manifestations of the patients included obstructive jaundice (49 patients, 49.0%), abdominal pain (30, 30.0%), and acute pancreatitis (11, 11.0%). Biliary involvement was one of the most extrapancreatic manifestations (64, 64.0%). Fifty-six (56.0%) and 43 (43.0%) patients were classified into focaltype and diffuse-type respectively according to the imaging examinations. The levels of serum Ig G and Ig G4 were elevated in 69.4% (43/62) and 92.0% (69/75) patients. Pathological analysis of specimens from 27 patients supported the diagnosis of lymphoplasmacytic sclerosing pancreatitis, and marked (>10 cells/HPF) Ig G4 positive cells were found in 20 (74.1%) patients.Steroid treatment and surgery as the main initial treatments were given to 41 (41.0%) and 28 (28.0%) patients, respectively. The remission rate after the initial treatment was 85.0%. Steroid was given as the treatment after relapse in most of the patients and the total remission rate at the end of follow-up was 96.0%.CONCLUSIONS: Clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, imaging and pathology examinations in combination could increase the diagnostic accuracy of AIP. 8Prospective evaluation of magnetic resonance cholangiography in patients with suspected common bile duct stones before laparoscopic cholecystectomy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the predictive value of magnetic resonance cholangiography (MRC) inselected patients before laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC).METHODS: Patients with risk factors for common bile duct (CBD) stones scheduled for elective LCfrom March 1999 to May 2001, underwent MRC followed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiography(ERC) to detect the stones and the accuracy of MRC. Selection of suspected patients was based onclinical, ultrasonographic, and laboratory criteria.RESULTS: During a 26-month period, a total of 267 patients were studied. Seventy-eight MRCidentified patients were found to have CBD stones by ERC or laparoscopic cholangiography in the study.Seven of 78 patients were misdiagnosed as having CBD stones by MRC. In this study, MRC had asensitivity of 100%, a specificity of 96.3%, a positive predictive value of 91.8%, and a negativepredictive value of 100% for the detection of common bile duct stones.CONCLUSIONS: With the use of LC, ERC is frequently performed before LC to detect CBD stones; butit is invasive with a well-documented complication rate. MRC is a simple non-invasive method forpreoperative screening for CBD stones in at-risk patients. 9Killing effects of cytosine deaminase gene mediated by adenovirus vector on human pancreatic cancer cell lines in vitro显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the killing effects of the cytosine deaminase (CD) gene mediated byadenovirus vector on human pancreatic cancer cell lines in vitro.METHODS: The CD gene was cloned into pAdTrack-CMV-CD, and pAdTrack-CMV-CD and pAdEasy-lwere recombinated in bacteria. The newly recombinated Ad-CD containing green fluoreseent protein(GFP) was propagated in 293 cells and purified by cesium chloride gradient centrifugation. Humanpancreatic cancer cell lines Patu8988 and SW1990 were infected with this virus, then 5-FC was added.XTT assay was used to estimate relative numbers of viable cells.RESULTS: The positive clones were selected by using endonuclease to digest the combinatants and theconcentration of viral liquids containing the CD gene was 2×1O11 pfu/ml. It was found that significantcytotoxic activities were possesscd by 5-FC for the CD gene transduced pancreatic cell lines, but littleeffects exerted on the nontransduced pancreatic carcinoma cells.CONCLUSIONS: The CD gene mediated by adenovirus with a high infectivity is efficient for genetherapy of pancreatic carcinoma cell lines. 10Tectonic Evolution of Southeast Central Asian Orogenic Belt: Evidence from Geochronological Data and Paleontology of the Early Paleozoic Deposits in Inner Mongolia显示文摘In this study, we present detrital zircon U-Pb dating and paleontological data for the newly identified Ayadeng Formation in the northern margin of the North China Block(NCB) and Xibiehe Formation(molasse) in the Bainaimiao arc belt(BAB), which could provide strong evidence indicating the affinity of the BAB and the evolution of the southeast Central Asian orogenic belt(CAOB). Zircon U-Pb data of siltstone samples and paleontological data indicate the Ayadeng Formation dates back to the Early Ordovician. Although its location is near the NCB, its zircon age spectra and paleontology share a closer affinity with those of Tarim and NE Gondwana, as the U-Pb data suggest an age range of 490–2 192 Ma(peak age=629, 788, 965 and 1 935 Ma), and similar gastropod fossils are found in Tarim and NE Gondwana. The U-Pb ages of meta-sandstone samples in the Xuniwusu Formation indicate a shared inheritance with the Ayadeng Formation(before 440 Ma), and the U-Pb ages of sandstone samples in the Xibiehe Formation are concentrated, with age peaks centered at ca. 420 Ma. Fossil corals occur in these two formations, and their age components also indicate a collisional setting. Therefore, it is speculated that the BAB drifted away from Tarim or NE Gondwana during the Ordovician and became attached to northern NCB between 440–420 Ma as an exotic terrane. 11Detrital Zircon U–Pb Geochronology and Provenance of Bayan Obo Group, Northern Margin of North China Craton: New Implications for the Position of NCC in Rodinia显示文摘The paleoposition of North China Craton in Rodinia has long been in controversial. This paper mainly focuses on the U-Pb geochronological studies of detrital zircons obtained from Bayan Obo Group exposed in the Shangdu area, Inner Mongolia, aiming to provide more information for interprating this problem. Based on the acquired data, this paper comes to the following conclusions. Firstly, the depositional age of Bayan Obo Group might be from Meso- to Neoproterozoic according to the zircons U-Pb dating results. The lower succession of this group, namely Dulahala and Jianshan formations deposited between 1800 and 1650 Ma. The Halahuogete and Bilute formations deposited between 1500 and 1350 Ma. For Baiyinbaolage and Hujiertu formations, their depositional age was 1250-900 Ma. Secondly, for the provenance of Bayan Obo Group, this paper believes detrital zircons with age of 2.51-2.71 Ga and 2.00-2.48 Ga were from Guyang, Xi Ulanbulang and Zhuozi area;the Khondalite Belt provided detrital zircons with age of 1.95-1.80 Ga;zircons with age of 1.60-1.75 Ga might come from granitic rocks in Miyun Area. The magmatism after 1.60 Ga was rarely recorded in the NCC, therefore those zircons with ages younger than 1.60 Ga might come from outside of NCC. The magmatism with the same age existed in Baltic, Amazonia and Laurentia. Based on previous paleomagnetic researches, this paper proposes that NCC might receive detritus from Baltic during 1560-1350 Ma and had affinity with Laurentia and Amazonia at ~0.9 Ga in Rodinia. 12Highly stable and selective Ru/NiFe2O4 catalysts for transfer hydrogenation of biomass-derived furfural to 2-methylfuran显示文摘Spinel ferrites NiFe_2O_4 supported Ru catalysts have been prepared via a simple sol–gel route and applied for converting biomass-derived furfural to 2-methylfuran. The as-prepared catalysts were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis(TG), N_2 adsorption–desorption, X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electronic microscopy(SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Results showed that the catalysts had well-dispersed Ru active sites and large surface area for calcination temperature ranging from 300 to 500 ℃. The conversion of biomass-derived furfural into 2-methylfuran was conducted over Ru/NiFe_2O_4 through catalytic transfer hydrogenation in liquid-phase with 2-propanol as the hydrogen source. A significantly enhanced activity and increased 2-methylfuran yield have been achieved in this study. Under mild conditions(180 ℃ and 2.1 MPa N_2), the conversion of furfural exceeds 97% and 2-methylfuran yield was up to 83% over the catalyst containing 8 wt% Ru. After five repeated uses, the catalytic activity and the corresponding product yield remained almost unchanged. 13Effects of 1-MCP on proline,polyamine,and nitric oxide metabolism in postharvest peach fruit under chilling stress显示文摘Peach(Prunus persica Batsch‘Yuhualu’)fruit are sensitive to chilling injury(CI).Proline,polyamine(PA),and nitric oxide(NO)are important small regulators of various metabolic pathways under chilling stress that mitigate CI.Ethylene is known to promote senescence and CI,while 1-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)is an antagonist that inhibits the effects of ethylene.However,how1-MCP and ethylene affect proline,PA,and NO levels under chilling stress remains unclear.To address these questions,1-MCP(1μL·L^(−1))and ethylene(1μL·L^(−1))treatments were applied to peach fruit.Fruit were stored at 4°C for 28 d,then moved to 25°C for 3 d immediately after cold storage.Peach fruit exhibited CI symptoms after 7 d of cold storage with enhanced electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde contents.The 1-MCP treatment significantly(P<0.05)restrained peach CI,and fruit did not exhibit CI symptoms until 14 d of cold storage.Proline and PAs in peach under chilling stress weremostly synthesized from glutamate and arginine,which were catalyzed by1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase and arginine decarboxylase,respectively.1-MCPtreated fruit exhibited higher proline and PA contents and enhanced chilling tolerance compared to the control,while ethylene-treated fruit had lower proline and PA contents and reduced chilling tolerance.Ethylene-treated fruit,which exhibited more severe CI symptoms compared to the control,had significantly(P<0.05)lower NO contents and NO synthase activities.However,NOmay not be a direct acting factor in 1-MCPinduced chilling tolerance,as 1-MCP-treated fruit had lower NO contents and NO synthase activities compared to the control.In conclusion,proline and PA clearly played direct and important roles in 1-MCP-induced peach chilling tolerance,while NO may not be actively involved.Chunlu Qian Zhengjie Ji Qin Zhu Xiaohua Qi Qianqian Li Jiandong Yin Jun Liu Juan Kan Man Zhang Changhai Jin Lixia Xiao 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,3:4

15Management of aberrant bile duct during laparoscopic cholecystectomy显示文摘Objective: To investigate the incidence of aberrantbile duct and its management during laparoscopiccholecystectomy (LC).Methods: In 10 000 patients undergoing laparoscopiccholecystectomy from 1992 to July 2001, 3 had theinvolvement of the right accessory hepatic duct. Inpatient 1, the aberrant duct drained into the cysticduct was confirmed by open operation. In patient 2,the aberrant duct, which drained to the common bileduct (CBD), was injured and treated with sutureand ligature under laparoscopy. In patient 3, the ab-errant duct, which also drained to the CBD, wasconfirmed and preserved.Results: All patients recovered well except patient 1who had a transient elevation of ALT. No bile leak-age or other complication occurred.Conclusions: Only variation near the confluence andthe entrance of the cystic duct into the bile duct isdiscovered during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Right accessory hepatic duct is common and shouldbe preserved during the operation. 17Efficient structural seismic performance evaluation method using improved endurance time analysis显示文摘Evaluation of structural performance under seismic excitations from low intensity to high intensity is essential to verify the seismic resistant capacity of a structure, and usually carried out by the incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) method or pushover method. The recently developed endurance time (ET) method is another method that uses dynamic pushover excitations, i.e., endurance time acceleration function, to obtain results similar to those obtained by IDA or pushover methods with low computational cost and acceptable accuracy. This study proposes an improvement on the ET method by considering more restrictions for both the elastic and inelastic response spectra in the generation procedure, and by specifying a target duration. Four reinforced concrete frame structures with 4, 8, 12, and 16 stories are adopted to verify the accuracy of the improved method. Comparison of the results obtained by the proposed method, the ET method and the IDA method shows that the improved method has a higher accuracy than the ET method. For evaluation of structural responses under specifi c ground motion intensity, which is typically required in seismic design codes, the results obtained by the proposed method are compared with fi ve commonly used ground motion selection methods, and shows the proposed method provides acceptable accuracy for engineering applications.Li Shuang Liu Kun Liu Xiangyang Zhai Changhai Xie Fengwei 2019Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2019,18,4:3
18A sophisticated simulation for the fracture behavior of concrete material using XFEM显示文摘The development of a powerful numerical model to simulate the fracture behavior of concrete material has long been one of the dominant research areas in earthquake engineering.A reliable model should be able to adequately represent the discontinuous characteristics of cracks and simulate various failure behaviors under complicated loading conditions.In this paper,a numerical formulation,which incorporates a sophisticated rigid-plastic interface constitutive model coupling cohesion softening,contact,friction and shear dilatation into the XFEM,is proposed to describe various crack behaviors of concrete material.An effective numerical integration scheme for accurately assembling the contribution to the weak form on both sides of the discontinuity is introduced.The effectiveness of the proposed method has been assessed by simulating several well-known experimental tests.It is concluded that the numerical method can successfully capture the crack paths and accurately predict the fracture behavior of concrete structures.The influence of mode-Ⅱ parameters on the mixed-mode fracture behavior is further investigated to better determine these parameters.Zhai Changhai Wang Xiaomin Kong Jingchang Li Shuang Xie Lili 2017Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2017,16,4:3
19Experimental Study on Elevated Fires in a Ceiling Vented Compartment显示文摘The impacts of elevation on fires in a ceiling vented compartment were investigated experimentally. The flame behavior of elevated fires was recorded. Various parameters including the fuel mass loss rate, the light extinction coefficient, the oxygen concentration and the gas temperature were measured. Results indicated that the variations of the flame behavior were consistent with that of the fuel mass loss rate. The fire location significantly impacted the light extinction coefficient, the oxygen concentration and the gas temperature, which all showed distinct stratification phenomena. For a higher elevated fire, the average fuel loss rate and the overall light extinction coefficient were smaller, the oxygen concentration was higher and the gas temperature was lower. In addition, the smoke descending was slower. 20Clinicopathological features of giant cell carcinoma of the pancreas显示文摘BACKGROUND: Giant cell carcinoma of the pancreas (GCCP) as a tumor of high malignancy, large size, and inflammatory reaction occupies 2.1%-12.8% of all cases of pancreatic malignancies. This study was to analyze cases of GCCP collected in 8 years at our hospital in an attempt to describe some features of GCCP in Chinese people. METHODS: The clinicopathological features of 19 patients who had been pathologically diagnosed as having GCCP from 1021 patients with pancreatic malignancies collected by Pancreatic Disease Research Group (PDRG) of Chang- hai Hospital were retrospectively analyzed compared with those of 96 patients with common pancreatic carcinoma (PC) who were randomly selected from 1002 patients with pancreatic carcinoma. The differences of location, clinical symptoms, imagings, laboratory test, operation and the prognosis of these two groups were defined. RESULTS: Tumors in the head of the pancreas were found in 8 patients (42.1%), and those in the body or tail of the pancreas in 11 (57.9%). The initial symptom was abdomi- nal pain in most patients (57.9%). Abdominal pain (73.7%), dyspepsia (63.2%), weight loss (36.8%) but jaun- dice were common at the time of diagnosis. The abnormal rates of routine laboratory tests in the GCCP group were lower than those in the common PC group. The assay of tumor markers between the groups of GCCP and common PC was approximately the same. The sensitivity and accu- racy of ultrasonography, spiral computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging were considerably high. Large carcinoma in stage was seen in 9 patients or 47.4% of the GCCP group, a rate higher than that in the common PC group. Osteoid formation was found microscopically in some patients, and poorly differentiated tumor cells were found in most patients. The 1-year survival rate was 17.6%, which was lower than that in the common PC group. CONCLUSION: The clinicopathological features of GCCP are different from those of common PC.
