The New Form of Time-Dependent Mild Slope Equation for Random Waves显示文摘The mild-slope equation derived by Berkhoff (1972), has widely been used in the numerical calculation of refraction and diffraction of regular waves. However, it is well known that the random sea waves has a significant effect in the refraction and diffraction problems. In this paper, a new form of time-dependent mild slope equation for irregular waves was derived with Fade approximation and Kubo’s time series concept. The equation was simplified using WKB method, and simple and practical irregular mild slope equation was obtained. Results of numerical calculations are compared with those of laboratory experiments. | Zhang Yonggang , Li Yucheng Teng Bin Doctor Degree Candidate, The National Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023Professor, The National,Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023Associate Professor, The National Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023 | 1995 | China Ocean Engineering1995,10,4: | 21
Diffraction of plane SV waves by a cavity in poroelastic half-space显示文摘This paper presents an indirect boundary integration equation method for diffraction of plane SV waves by a 2-D cavity in a poroelastic half-space.The Green’s functions of compressive and shear wave sources are derived based on Biot’s theory. The scattered waves are constructed using fi ctitious wave sources close to the boundary of the cavity, and their magnitudes are determined by the boundary conditions. Verifi cation of the accuracy is performed by: (1) checking the satisfaction extent of the boundary conditions, (2) comparing the degenerated solutions of a single-phased case with wellknown solutions, and (3) examining the numerical stability of the solutions. The nature of diffraction of plane SV waves around a cavity in a poroelastic half-space is investigated by numerical examples. | Liang Jianwen and Liu Zhongxian Department of Civil Engineering, Tianjin University, Tianjin 300072, China Professor PhD Candidate | 2009 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2009,8,1: | 15

Adaptive inverse control of random vibration based on the filtered-X LMS algorithm显示文摘随机的颤动控制针对复制力量光谱在指定控制的密度(PSD ) 指。 | Yang Zhidong,Huang Qitao~(++),Han Junwei~§and Li Hongren~§National Key Laboratory of Robots Technique and System,Harbin Institute of Technology,Harbin 150080,China PhD Candidate ~++ PhD ~§Professor | 2010 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,1: | 10
NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MECHANICS OF SOIL REINFORCEMENT显示文摘Roots affect the soil stress and strain and contribute to soil reinforcement. An analysis of stress and strain in the root-soil composite is presented which combines roots, soils, and an interface element by using the Duncan-Chang E- model and a nonlinear-interface-element model. In this research, a finite element numerical analysis method was applied to simulate the stress field resulting in a composite of Pinus tabulaeformis roots and soils. Results show that roots can transmit the stress from surface soils to deep soils, and can reduce soil stress within the surface soil layer; results also show that the effect of soil reinforcement by roots is limited to surface soils. The Slope Safety Index of a pine slope becomes 10% higher than that of a natural slope, indicating that roots have a significant effect on soil reinforcement. | Weifeng SONG1, Lihua CHEN2 and Xiuping LIU3 1 PhD candidate, senior engineer, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Beijing Forestry University Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Conservation and Combating Desertification, Ministry of Education, Beijing 100083, China 2 Prof., Doctor, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Beijing Forestry University Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Conservation and Combating Desertification, Ministry of Education, Beijing 100083, China 3 Master, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Beijing Forestry University Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Conservation and Combating Desertification, Ministry of Education, Beijing 100083, China | 2006 | International Journal of Sediment Research2006,21,3: | 9

ANALYSIS ON BUCKLING AND POSTBUCKLING OF DELAMINATION IN 3D COMPOSITES显示文摘In this paper, the problem of axisymmetric buckling and postbuckling of a circular thin-film delamination bridged by through-thickness fiber tows in 3D composites is presented. An iterativeprocedure based on Taylor’s series expansion is used to generate a family of nondimensionalized post-buckling solutions of the above problem by yon Karman’s nonlinear plate theory. Attention is fo-cused, herein, on the effects of the bridge force of through-thickness fibers on the buckling and post-buckling behavior of the delamination. It is found that fiber bridge not only increases the ability of re-sisting delamination buckling and postbuckling, but also brings on the jump of the delamination deflec-tion mode during the postbuckling phase. Consequently the behavior of the composite structure with de-lamination is greatly improved, such as increasing the residual strength and prolonging the service life. | Li Siping** Huang Yuying Hu Yuantai Zhong Weifang, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan 430074, China Doctoral candidate from Zhengzhou University of Technology, Zhengzhou 450002, China. | 1997 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica1997,10,3: | 4

Poetic Craftsmanship and Spiritual Freedom:An Interview with Professor Sonia Sanchez显示文摘This is an excerpt from an interview with Professor Sonia Sanchez, one of the most famous contemporary African American poets. This excerpt demonstrates Prof. Sanchez’s efforts in and views of poetic craftsmanship. As a poet who has been experimenting with various poetic forms like the blues and jazz poems, the sonnet, and the haiku, and reshaping them into her own forms, she believes that a poet has the freedom of choosing form. For her, different forms serve different purposes, and the efforts in the innovation and renovation of forms not only serve the construction of the poem but also express the joy and freedom of writing. Musicality, embodied in the structure, writing, and typographical arrangement of her poems, is a remarkable feature, which, she believes, crosses genders and colors and serves as a means of communication among peoples. Black English, especially the urban black vernacular, is largely used in her poems to exhibit and celebrate the black existence in America and to serve the growth of humanity. Her pursuit in poetic craftsmanship registers her spiritual freedom, self-affirmation and self-pride as a female African American poet. | Luo Lianggong associate Wuhan University of Technology and doctorial candidate in literature at Central China Normal University. | 2005 | 外国文学研究2005,27,6: | 2
Statistical damage detection method for frame structures using a confidence interval显示文摘A novel damage detection method is applied to a 3-story frame structure,to obtain statistical quantification control criterion of the existence,location and identification of damage.The mean,standard deviation,and exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) are applied to detect damage information according to statistical process control(SPC) theory.It is concluded that the detection is insignificant with the mean and EWMA because the structural response is not independent and is not a normal distribution.On the other hand,the damage information is detected well with the standard deviation because the influence of the data distribution is not pronounced with this parameter.A suitable moderate confidence level is explored for more significant damage location and quantification detection,and the impact of noise is investigated to illustrate the robustness of the method. | Li Weiming,Zhu Hongping~(++),Luo Hanbin~(++) and Xia Yong~(++) School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Wuhan 430074,China ~+PhD Candidate ++ Professor | 2010 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,1: | 2

BEHAVIOUR OF BUFFER LAYER IN JOINING OF SIALON CERAMICS TO STEEL 40Cr显示文摘The buffer layer material itself may be influential to the bond strength between active brazingfiller and ceramics.For Ag57Cu38Ti5 filler metal,Cu or Ta is excellent buffer layer material,but Kovar or Ni-15Cr-15Co is worse.It was important to design a layer of soft buffer,suchas Cu,to relax interfacial stress rather than hard buffer layer,such as Mo,to avoid stress.There is an optimum thickness range of soft buffer layer,saying h/L=0.02—0.1. It was agood solution to the interfacial stress problem to use soft/hard buffer layer to increasemetal/ceramics joint strength.Finally,an idea of designing gradual materials as buffer layerbetween metal and ceramics was suggested. | XIAN Aiping SI Zhongyao Institute of Metal Research,Academia Sinica,Shenyang,China Doctoral Candidate,Laboratory of Welding and Joining,Institute of Metal Research,Academia Sinica,Shenyang 110015,China | 1992 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)1992,5,9: | 1
