2Diffraction of plane SV waves by a cavity in poroelastic half-space显示文摘This paper presents an indirect boundary integration equation method for diffraction of plane SV waves by a 2-D cavity in a poroelastic half-space.The Green’s functions of compressive and shear wave sources are derived based on Biot’s theory. The scattered waves are constructed using fi ctitious wave sources close to the boundary of the cavity, and their magnitudes are determined by the boundary conditions. Verifi cation of the accuracy is performed by: (1) checking the satisfaction extent of the boundary conditions, (2) comparing the degenerated solutions of a single-phased case with wellknown solutions, and (3) examining the numerical stability of the solutions. The nature of diffraction of plane SV waves around a cavity in a poroelastic half-space is investigated by numerical examples.Liang Jianwen and Liu Zhongxian Department of Civil Engineering, Tianjin University, Tianjin 300072, China Professor PhD Candidate 2009Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2009,8,1:15

4Adaptive inverse control of random vibration based on the filtered-X LMS algorithm显示文摘随机的颤动控制针对复制力量光谱在指定控制的密度(PSD ) 指。 Yang Zhidong,Huang Qitao~(++),Han Junwei~§and Li Hongren~§National Key Laboratory of Robots Technique and System,Harbin Institute of Technology,Harbin 150080,China PhD Candidate ~++ PhD ~§Professor 2010Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,1:10
5NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MECHANICS OF SOIL REINFORCEMENT显示文摘Roots affect the soil stress and strain and contribute to soil reinforcement. An analysis of stress and strain in the root-soil composite is presented which combines roots, soils, and an interface element by using the Duncan-Chang E- model and a nonlinear-interface-element model. In this research, a finite element numerical analysis method was applied to simulate the stress field resulting in a composite of Pinus tabulaeformis roots and soils. Results show that roots can transmit the stress from surface soils to deep soils, and can reduce soil stress within the surface soil layer; results also show that the effect of soil reinforcement by roots is limited to surface soils. The Slope Safety Index of a pine slope becomes 10% higher than that of a natural slope, indicating that roots have a significant effect on soil reinforcement.Weifeng SONG1, Lihua CHEN2 and Xiuping LIU3 1 PhD candidate, senior engineer, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Beijing Forestry University Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Conservation and Combating Desertification, Ministry of Education, Beijing 100083, China 2 Prof., Doctor, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Beijing Forestry University Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Conservation and Combating Desertification, Ministry of Education, Beijing 100083, China 3 Master, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Beijing Forestry University Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Conservation and Combating Desertification, Ministry of Education, Beijing 100083, China 2006International Journal of Sediment Research2006,21,3:9

9Statistical damage detection method for frame structures using a confidence interval显示文摘A novel damage detection method is applied to a 3-story frame structure,to obtain statistical quantification control criterion of the existence,location and identification of damage.The mean,standard deviation,and exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) are applied to detect damage information according to statistical process control(SPC) theory.It is concluded that the detection is insignificant with the mean and EWMA because the structural response is not independent and is not a normal distribution.On the other hand,the damage information is detected well with the standard deviation because the influence of the data distribution is not pronounced with this parameter.A suitable moderate confidence level is explored for more significant damage location and quantification detection,and the impact of noise is investigated to illustrate the robustness of the method.Li Weiming,Zhu Hongping~(++),Luo Hanbin~(++) and Xia Yong~(++) School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Wuhan 430074,China ~+PhD Candidate ++ Professor 2010Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,1:2

20Sign Language Interpreter:What Makes it Different?显示文摘Understanding the situation of sign language(SL)and its history is essential to comprehend the role of sign language interpreter better.It has often implied fundamental questions that refer to the identity construction of the person,his/her attachment to a linguistic community and the place of this community in the current social scheme.Sign language is like any other human languages;it spontaneously develops through deaf communities using this language and without external interference from hearing persons.All living human languages,whether spoken or signed,are characterised by the multiplicity,diversity,and the evolving nature of their vocabulary and this is what determines and proves of the richness of a language.Those who interpret from spoken to sign language are usually referred to as“sign language interpreters”and“deaf interpreters”,but both terms are unsatisfactory because both apply only to the language or community to which they serve.This article will try to shed light on the origins of sign language as well as the emergence of sign language interpreters as key players in an everlasting debate round the deaf and the deaf rights throughout nearly three centuries.Mr.Abdelaziz Arssi Phd Candidate Pr.Nour Taibi 2018Sino-US English Teaching2018,15,8:0
