1Celastrus orbiculatus extract induces mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the apoptotic effects and underlying molecular mechanisms of Celastrus orbiculatus(C.orbiculatus) extract in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells.METHODS:Human hepatocellular carcinoma cells(HCCLM6) were treated with C.orbiculatus extract(COE) at different nontoxic concentrations(10,20,40,80,and 160 μg/mL).The effect of COE on HC-CLM6 viability was examined using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT) assays.Cellular apoptosis following COE treatment was assessed by flow cytometry and western blot analysis.RESULTS:COE significantly inhibited cell viability and induced apoptosis of HCCLM6 cells in a dose-dependent manner.Apoptosis was accompanied by increased Bax expression and decreased Bcl-2 expression.In addition,COE treatment led to the release of cytochrome c,activation of caspase-3,and cleavage of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase(PARP).Furthermore,activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK),p38 kinase,and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK) phosphorylation,and down-regulation of Akt phosphorylation was observed.CONCLUSION:COE induces mitochondrial-mediated,caspase-dependent apoptosis in HCCLM6 cells,which might be attributed to the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) and inhibition of Akt signaling pathways.These data suggest that COE may be a potential treatment for human hepatocellular carcinoma.Hua Zhang Yayun Qian Yanqing Liu Guoqing Li Pingfang Cui Yaodong Zhu Hui Ma Xue Ji Shiyu Guo Hisamits Tadashi 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4:18
2Enhanced strength and ductility in Ti46Al4Nb1Mo alloys via boron addition显示文摘To improve the strength and ductility of Ti Al alloys by second phase, Ti46 Al4 Nb1 Mo alloys doped with different B content(0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2%, 1.6% and 2.0%, atomic percent, hereafter in at.%, referred to as TNMx B) were prepared. Macro/microstructure evolution, mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of the alloys were studied systematically. Results showed that the microstructure of TNM-0.4 B and TNM-0.8 B alloy remained columnar dendrites, and the secondary dendritic arms of columnar grains were more obvious. When the content of B is 1.2%, the columnar dendrites transformed to equiaxed grains, and theα2/γ lamellae colony size was further refined in TNM-1.6 B and TNM-2.0 B alloy. The morphologies and kinds of the borides were changed with increasing B content, XRD results showed that Ti B phase appeared with 1.6%B content, and both Ti B and Ti B2 phase formed in TNM-2.0 B alloy. There were straight and curved Ti B phases located around grain boundaries in TNM-0.4 B and TNM-0.8 B alloy, and when the content of B increased to 1.2%, the curved Ti B phases were reduced, while the tiny and straight Ti B phases increased. With further increasing B content to 1.6% and 2.0%, the tiny and straight Ti B phases were coarser. Compressive testing results showed that the mechanical properties of the TNM alloy were enhanced with increasing B content. The maximum strength and strain of TNM alloy were 2339 MPa and33.7% with 1.6% B addition. 4Performance Measures for Systems Under Multiple Environments显示文摘In this paper, the system which operates in multiple environments is studied. The environment process is governed by a Markov process, and the deterioration process is governed by another Markov process given the system in a certain environment. 5Optical investigation on polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers spray flame at different oxygen levels in a constant volume vessel显示文摘In this paper,high-speed imaging and spectrometry diagnostics were used to study the spray flame structures and emission spectra of polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers(PODE)in an optical constant volume vessel.The effects of oxygen volume fraction(15%to 80%)on some typical combustion characteristics such as spatially integrated natural intensity,flame propagation speed,lift-off length and the distribution of flame emission spectra were investigated.The results show that the PODE spray flame mainly exhibits blue chemiluminescence,which is different from the diesel yellow diffusion flame dominated by soot radiation.As the oxygen concentration increases,the flame natural luminosity and propagation speed increases,the position of lift-off region and flame tip move towards the injector nozzle,and the flame width becomes narrower.According to the spectral results,the blue chemiluminescence generated by carbon monoxide oxidation dominates the PODE flame luminescence,suggesting that no soot is formed.The increase in oxygen concentration leads to enlarged intensity and gradient of PODE flame radiation.In summary,the combination of PODE and oxygen-enriched combustion shows no soot formation and promotes the oxidation of carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbon.This study can provide more insights into PODE spray combustion,and offer guidelines for achieving efficient and clean combustion.ZHENG ZunQing LIU Wei LIU HaiFeng FENG Lei CUI YanQing ZHANG Shuo YAO MingFa 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,8:1

7Development of the ignition delay prediction model of n-butane/hydrogen mixtures based on artificial neural network显示文摘Based on the experimental ignition delay results of n-butane/hydrogen mixtures in a rapid compression machine,a Genetic Algorithm(GA)optimized Back Propagation(BP)neural network model is originally developed for ignition delay prediction.In the BP model,the activation function,learning rate and the neurons number in the hidden layer are optimized,respectively.The prediction ability of the BP model is validated in wide operating ranges,i.e.,compression pressures from 20 to 25 bar,compression temperatures from 722 to 987 K,equivalence ratios from 0.5 to 1.5 and molar ratios of hydrogen(X_(H2))from 0 to 75%.Compared with the BP model,the GA optimized BP model could increase the average correlation coefficient from 0.9745 to 0.9890,in the opposite,the average Mean Square Error(MSE)decreased from 2.21 to 1.06.On the other hand,to assess the BP-GA model prediction ability in the never-seen-before cases,a limited BP-GA model is fostered in the��X_(H2) range from 0 to 50%to predict the ignition delays at the cases of��X_(H2)=75%.It is found that the predicted ignition delays are underestimated due to the training dataset lacking of“acceleration feature”that happened at��X_(H2)=75%.However,three possible options are reported to improve the prediction accuracy in such never-seen-before cases.Yanqing Cui Qianlong Wang Haifeng Liu Zunqing Zheng Hu Wang Zongyu Yue Mingfa Yao 2020Energy and AI2020,2,2:0
8Cold standby repairable system with working vacations and vacation interruption显示文摘This paper studies a cold standby repairable system with working vacations and vacation interruption. The repairman's multiple vacations policy, the working vacations policy and the vacation interruption are considered simultaneously. The lifetime of components follows a phase-type(PH) distribution. The repair time in the regular repair period and the working vacation period follow other two PH distributions at different rates. For this system, the vector-valued Markov process governing the system is constructed. We obtain several important performance measures for the system in transient and stationary regimes applying matrixanalytic methods. 10Supercritical thermophysical properties prediction of multi-component hydrocarbon fuels based on artificial neural network models显示文摘A good understanding of the thermophysical properties of hydrocarbon fuels at supercritical pressure is important to research on experiment and numerical simulation of fuel supercritical spray.Experimental measurements are difficult to conduct directly because of the extremely high pressure and high temperature.In this study,back propagation(BP)neural network,BP optimized by mind evolution algorithm(MEA-BP)and BP neural network optimized by genetic algorithm(GA-BP)are established to determine the nonlinear temperature-dependent thermophysical properties of density,viscosity,and isobaric specific heat(C_(2))of hydrocarbon fuels at supercritical pressure.Meanwhile,approximate formulas for these properties prediction are primarily proposed using polynomial fitting.In this paper,models that can predict three types of physical properties of three kinds of hydrocarbon fuels and their mixtures in a wide temperature range under supercritical pressure are established.In the prediction of density and C_(2),BP neural network has a good prediction effect.The results show that the MAPE is lower than 2%in the prediction of density and C_(2),but the MAPE of viscosity prediction is slightly higher than 5%using BP.Furthermore,MEA and GA are used to optimize the prediction of viscosity.The optimization effect and computation of the MEA is better than that of GA because MEA does not have the local optimization and prematurity problems.The present work offers an efficient tool to predict the thermophysical properties of hydrocarbon fuels over a wide range of temperatures under supercritical pressure which can be easily extended to other fuels of interest.It will be beneficial to the experiment and numerical simulation studies of supercritical sprays.MING ZhenYang LIU HaiFeng WANG QianLong YUE ZongYu CUI YanQing WEN MingSheng YAO MingFa 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4:0
11Oligodendrocyte transcription factor 1 mRNA and protein expression in organotypic rat brain slices显示文摘Numerous studies have confirmed that oligodendrocyte transcription factor 1 (Olig-1) is vital for myelin repair. However, the effects of hypoxia and ischemia on Olig-1 expression remain unknown. In this study, Olig-1 mRNA and protein expressions were analyzed by in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, to determine the expression profile of Olig-1 in rat brain slices exposed to hypoxia and ischemia. Brains were obtained from 2-day-old Sprague-Dawley rats, and sections were randomly assigned to control and hypoxia/ischemia groups. Hematoxylin-eosin staining revealed karyorrhexis and karyopyknosis in cells from the hypoxia/ischemia group. Under electron microscopy, mitochondria swelling and neuropil edema were observed in the hypoxia/ischemia group. Olig-1 mRNA and protein expressions were increased at 1 day after hypoxia and ischemia treatment. 12Spontaneous Regional Brain Activity in Healthy Individuals is Nonlinearly Modulated by the Interaction of ZNF804A rs1344706 and COMT rs4680 Polymorphisms显示文摘ZNF804A rs1344706 has been identified as one of the risk genes for schizophrenia.However,the neural mechanisms underlying this association are unknown.Given that ZNF804A upregulates the expression of COMT,we hypothesized that ZNF804 A may influence brain activity by interacting with COMT.Here,we genotyped ZNF804A rs1344706 and COMT rs4680 in 218 healthy Chinese participants.Amplitudes of low-frequency fluctuations(ALFFs)were applied to analyze the main and interaction effects of ZNF804A rs1344706 and COMT rs4680.The ALFFs of the bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal cortex showed a significant ZNF804A rs1344706 x COMT rs4680 interaction,manifesting as a U-shaped modulation,presumably by dopamine signaling.Significant main effects were also found.These findings suggest that ZNF804A affects the resting-state functional activation by interacting with COMT,and may improve our understanding of the neurobiological effects of ZNF804A and its association with schizophrenia.Lingling Cui Fei Wang Miao Chang Zhiyang Yin Guoguang Fan Yanzhuo Song Yange Wei Yixiao Xu Yifan Zhang Yanqing Tang Xiaohong Gong Ke Xu 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,4:0

14The effect of ammonia on soot formation in ethylene diffusion flames显示文摘This paper originally investigates the effect of NH_(3) dilution on soot formation when NH_(3) is gradually added into the fuel stream in an ethylene laminar diffusion flame stabilized on a Santoro burner.The variations of flame diameter and two flame heights,i.e.,mixture-strength flame height and visible flame height are carefully documented and analyzed.Moreover,local soot volume fraction(SVF)and soot temperature fields are simultaneously measured by compact-modulated absorption and emission technique,and the corresponding measurement random errors are also provided by the error propagation calculations for the first time.All the reported measurement random errors of SVF and soot temperature fields are estimated within the range of±0.07–±0.08 ppm and±40–±91 K,respectively.As an original database,the concomitantly measured SVF and soot temperature distributions are provided as high-fidelity datasets for refining soot formation model that is overrode by NH_(3).In addition,the flame cross-section average SVF F_(soot)(z)is calculated for every NH_(3) diluted flame,and the relative contributions of NH_(3) dilution and chemical effect are quantitatively assessed in terms of F_(max)-X_(NH_(3))plotting.It is found that when X_(NH_(3))<30%,the chemical effect of ammonia is about twice that of the dilution effect.While X_(NH_(3))>30%,the chemical effect and dilution effect of ammonia are gradually equal.Eventually,through modeling of the soot formation rate V in the flames,the relative contributions of chemical effect,dilution effect and thermal effect of NH_(3)are further novelty discriminated within the X_(NH_(3))from 0 to 46%and it is shown that NH_(3) chemical effect plays the dominate role in soot suppression,then the dilution effect and the thermal one at the least.WANG QianLong YAN ZhiWen LI ChaoMin CUI YanQing WEN MingSheng LIU HaiFeng YAO MingFa 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,12:0
15Fine-mapping and transcriptome analysis of the photosensitive leaf-yellowing gene CaLY1 in pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)显示文摘Leaf color is directly related to altered photosynthesis.Hence,leaf yellowing mutants can be widely used for the researching plant physiology and functional genomes,for cultivating new varieties of popular horticultural plants,and for identifying hybrid purity(as markers).Here,we constructed a^(60)Co-γF_(2)population from the leaf-yellowing mutant R24 via radiation mutation with the inbred line WT21 of pepper.Genetic analysis showed that the leaf-yellowing of the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene.By applying the Bulk Segregation Analysis and Kompetitive Allele Specific PCR markers,the leaf-yellowing gene CaLY1(Capsicum annuum Leaf yellow 1)was mapped on chromosome 9,SNP5791587-SNP6011215,with a size of 214.5 kb.One non-synonymous mutated gene Capana09g000166 was found in the interval.The gene encoded a Psb X,which is the core complex of PSⅡ.Transcriptome analysis further showed that 2301 differentially expressed genes were identified under shading treatment for 24 h in R24.The Gene Ontology enrichment pathways were related to photosynthesis light harvesting,cell wall,activity of quercetin 3-O-glucosyltransferase and flavonoid metabolic process,which likely regulate the response of pepper leaves to different light levels.Functional enrichment analysis indicated that the most abundant pathways were photosynthesis antenna proteins and metabolic.Sha Yang Zhuqing Zhang Wenchao Chen Chengliang Liang Xuefeng Li Zhoubin Liu Qingzhi Cui Yanqing Ma Xuexiao Zou 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,1:0

17Dissolution and recrystallization of perovskite induced by N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone in a closed steam annealing method显示文摘High quality perovskite films with large columnar grains are greatly desired for efficient perovskite solar cells. Here, low volatility N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) was added in MAI/IPA solution in a two-step spin-coating method, which promoted the conversion of lead iodide to perovskite. The perovskite films were annealed by a closed-steam annealing method to prolong the recrystallization process of perovskite films assisted by the residual NMP. It leaded to high quality CH_3NH_3PbI_3 perovskite films with large columnar grains due to its enhancement of the Oswald ripening. The large grain perovskite film leaded to efficient carrier transformation and injection, and low recombination.
