1A quasi-automated generation control strategy for multiple energy storage systems to optimize low-carbon benefits显示文摘Integrating a battery energy storage system(ESS)with a large wind farm can smooth the intermittent power obtained from the wind farm,but the smoothing function will not be achieved if multiple ESSs are used to smooth the fluctuations in individual wind power plants in a distributed pattern.Therefore,this study focuses on the development of a control strategy to optimize the use of multiple ESSs to accelerate the adoption of wind energy resources.This paper proposes a quasi-automated generation control(QAGC)strategy to coordinate multiple ESSs,which responds to the grid dispatch demand rather than smoothing out the intermittent power from individual wind farms.The aims of QAGC are to ensure that multiple ESSs provide a service that is as balanced as possible,so more wind power systems at various scales can be accepted by the grid,as well maximizing the low-carbon benefits of ESSs.The effectiveness of QAGC is demonstrated by using data from an actual gigawatt scale cluster of wind plants.Gangui YAN Xudong ZHENG Gang MU Junhui LI Yang CUI Yue WANG 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,1:6
2Formation of uniform reduced graphene oxide films on modified PET substrates using drop-casting method显示文摘In this work,uniform reduced graphene oxide(RGO) films were formed on poly-(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) substrates using a simple drop-casting method.We investigated four types of substrates:unmodified PET,polydopamine-coated PET.carboxyl-group-modified PET,and alkyl-group-modified PET.Upon water evaporation,the surface of the polydopamine-modified PET substrates can interact with the reduced graphene oxide sheets to form flattened and continuous RGO films,which exhibit a sheet resistance of 21.75 kΩ/sq at 82%transmittance.The result indicates that the properties of the surface groups determined whether uniform and flattened RGO films could be formed on the substrates.Hence,we proposed a simple and effective way to produce transparent and conductive films in which the catechol unit exhibits a great effect on the deposition of uniform RGO films on PET substrates.Chunlin Zhao Li Xing Junhui Xiang Lijie Cui JianbinJiao Huazheng Sai Zhenyou Li Fei Li 2014Particuology2014,12,6:4
3Thiocyanate-induced labilization of schwertmannite: Impacts and mechanisms显示文摘Schwertmannite is an amorphous iron(III)-oxyhydroxysulfate that forms in acid mine drainage(AMD) environments. The characteristic of high heavy metal adsorption capability makes schwertmannite a potentially useful, environmentally friendly material in wastewater treatment. Unstable schwertmannite is prone to recrystallization.Understanding the mechanisms that induce schwertmannite labilization and affect its capacity to remove heavy metals are of great environmental and geochemical significance.Thiocyanate(SCNˉ) is a hazardous pseudohalide that is also normally found in AMD.However, little is known about the impact of Fe(III)-binding ligand SCNˉ on schwertmannite stability and its subsequent capacity to bind trace elements. Here, we investigated the adsorption of SCNˉ on schwertmannite and subsequent mineral transformation to characterize this little-known process. The appearance of Fe2+indicated that the interactions between schwertmannite and SCNˉ may involve complexation and reduction reactions. Results showed that the majority of the adsorbed-SCNˉ was immobilized on schwertmannite during the 60-days transformation. The transformation rates of schwertmannite increased with increasing concentrations of SCNˉ. Goethite was detected as the dominant transformation product with or without SCNˉ. The mechanisms of SCNˉ-promoted dissolution of schwertmannite can be described as follows:(1) formation of Fe(III)–NCS complexes on the schwertmannite surface and in solution, a process which increases the reactivity of solid phase Fe(III);(2) the extraction of Fe(III) from schwertmannite by SCNˉ and subsequent schwertmannite dissolution; and(3) the formation of secondary minerals from extracted Fe(III). 4A genome-wide association study uncovers a critical role of the RsPAP2 gene in red-skinned Raphanus sativus L.显示文摘Radish(Raphanus sativus L.)taproot contains high concentrations of flavonoids,including anthocyanins(ATCs),in redskinned genotypes.However,little information on the genetic regulation of ATC biosynthesis in radish is available.A genome-wide association study of radish red skin color was conducted using whole-genome sequencing data derived from 179 radish genotypes.The R2R3-MYB transcription factor production of anthocyanin pigment 2(PAP2)gene was found in the region associated with a leading SNP located on chromosome 2.The amino acid sequence encoded by the RsPAP2 gene was different from those of the other published RsMYB genes responsible for the red skin color of radish.The overexpression of the RsPAP2 gene resulted in ATC accumulation in Arabidopsis and radish,which was accompanied by the upregulation of several ATC-related structural genes.RsPAP2 was found to bind the RsUFGT and RsTT8 promoters,as shown by a dual-luciferase reporter system and a yeast one-hybrid assay.The promoter activities of the RsANS,RsCHI,RsPAL,and RsUFGT genes could be strongly activated by coinfiltration with RsPAP2 and RsTT8.These findings showed the effectiveness of GWAS in identifying candidate genes in radish and demonstrated that RsPAP2 could(either directly or together with its cofactor RsTT8)regulate the transcript levels of ATC-related genes to promote ATC biosynthesis,facilitating the genetic enhancement of ATC contents and other related traits in radish.Lianxue Fan YanWang Liang Xu Mingjia Tang Xiaoli Zhang Jiali Ying Cui Li Junhui Dong Liwang Liu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2
5Differential effects of aging on EEG after baclofen administration显示文摘Baclofen is a selective gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) type B agonist that may have important medicinal uses,such as in analgesics and drug addiction treatment.In addition,evidence is accumulating that suggests GABAergic-mediated neurotransmission is altered during aging.This study investigated whether baclofen administration (5 mg kg 1) induces differential effects on cortical electrical activity with age.Electroencephalograms (EEGs) were recorded from young (3-4 months) and aged (15-17 months) rats,and both the absolute and relative powers in five frequency bands (delta:2-4 Hz;theta:4-8 Hz;alpha:8-12 Hz;beta:12-20 Hz;gamma:20-100 Hz) were analyzed.Before administration of baclofen,we found that the EEG relative power in the beta band was higher in the aged than that in the young rats.After administration of baclofen,there was a slower increase in the relative power in the delta band in the aged than that in the young rats.Moreover,there was no significant difference between the two age groups in absolute power in any frequency band.These findings indicate that baclofen treatment appears to differentially modify cortical EEG activity as a function of age.Our data further elucidate the relationship between GABA B receptor-mediated neurotransmission and aging.FU Yu CUI JunHui MA YuanYe 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,5:2

7A Prototype for Diagnosis of Psoriasis in Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘Psoriasis is a chronic,non-communicable,painful,disfiguring and disabling disease for which there is no cure,with great negative impact on patients’quality of life(QoL).Diagnosis and treatment with traditional Chinese medical technique based on syndrome differentiation has been used in practice for a long time and proven effective,though,up to now,there are only a few available studies about the use of semantic technologies and the knowledge systems that use Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)-syndrome differentiation for information retrieval and automated reasoning.In this paper we use semantic techniques based on ontologies to develop a prototypical system for the diagnosis of Psoriasis.For this purpose,a domain ontology is developed for syndrome differentiation of psoriasis vulgaris(PV).This ontology is founded on an adapted version of the general formal ontology(GFO),with the evidence-based clinical practice guideline of TCM for psoriasis vulgaris(Guideline 2013)as the primary data sources.The implemented prototype,called ONTOPV,contains this domain ontology and is aimed at a decision support system for diagnosis and treatment of PV.This system uses a case-database for Case Based Reasoning(CBR),combined with fuzzy pattern recognition.Experimental results show that the ONTOPV realizes the basic functionalities of data collection,querying,browsing and navigation,and supports rule-based knowledge reasoning,and integrates fuzzy pattern recognition.It can provide users with clinical decision support for TCM syndrome differentiation in diagnosis of psoriasis.Hai Long Zhe Wang Yidi Cui Junhui Wang Bo Gao Chao Chen Yan Zhu Heinrich Herre 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,12:1

10Deformation pre-compensated optimization design of cam ring for low pulsation hydraulic motors显示文摘Cam-lobe radial-piston hydraulic motors are widely used in large machinery due to their excellent capability to withstand high loading at low speed.However,the line contact between the roller and cam ring generates elastic deformation of the cam ring under high loading,leading to obvious speed and torque pulsations and even the detrimental crawl problem of hydraulic motors.To address this issue,we propose a deformation pre-compensated optimization design approach to compensate for the cam ring deformation in advance,thereby eliminating the influence of cam ring deformation on the hydraulic motor’s pulsation.In this approach,the design process is divided into two steps:first,the overall profile of the cam ring is optimized based on the calculated elastic deformation;second,the local profile of cam ring is further optimized until the hydraulic motor’s pulsations no longer reduce.Finally,a case study is carried out to verify the effectiveness of this approach.The result indicates the pulsation rate of a deformation pre-compensated cam ring is 40%lower than that of an uncompensated one.This study offers an easy and feasible way to design an optimized cam ring profile for low pulsation hydraulic motors.Chao ZHANG Hao TAN Yu FANG Xiaolong ZHANG Yu YANG Yiman DUAN Min HAN Shaojian CUI Bing XU Junhui ZHANG 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2023,24,2:0
11Melatonin-induced DNA demethylation of metal transporters and antioxidant genes alleviates lead stress in radish plants显示文摘Melatonin(MT)is a tryptophan-derived natural product that plays a vital role in plant response to abiotic stresses,including heavy metals(HMs).However,it remains elusive how exogenous MT mediates lead(Pb)accumulation and detoxification at the methylation and transcriptional levels in radish.In this study,decreased Pb accumulation and increased antioxidant enzyme activity were detected under MT treatment in radish.Single-base resolution maps of DNA methylation under Pb stress(Pb200)and Pb plus MT treatment(Pb_50MT)were first generated.The genome-wide methylation level was increased under Pb stress,while an overall loss of DNA methylation was observed under MT treatment.The differentially methylated region(DMR)-associated genes between Pb_50MT and Pb200 were uniquely enriched in ion binding terms,including cation binding,iron ion binding,and transition metal ion binding.Hyper-DMRs between Pb200 and Control exhibited a decreasing trend of methylation under Pb_50MT treatment.A few critical upregulated antioxidant genes(e.g.,RsAPX2,RsPOD52 and RsGST)exhibited decreased methylation levels under MT treatment,which enabled the radish plants to scavenge lead-induced reactive oxygen species(ROS)and decrease oxidative stress.Notably,several MT-induced HM transporter genes with low methylation(e.g.,RsABCF5,RsYSL7 and RsHMT)and transcription factors(e.g.,RsWRKY41 and RsMYB2)were involved in reducing Pb accumulation in radish roots.These findings could facilitate comprehensive elucidation of the molecular mechanism underlying MT-mediated Pb accumulation and detoxification in radish and other root vegetable crops.Mingjia Tang Liang Xu Yan Wang Junhui Dong Xiaoli Zhang Kai Wang Jiali Ying Cui Li Liwang Liu 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:0
12Detection of abnormal chicken droppings based on improved Faster R-CNN显示文摘The characteristics of chicken droppings are closely related to the health of chickens.Veterinarians often judge the health of a chicken by looking at whether the chicken poop is normal.At present,the inspection of abnormal chicken droppings in chicken coops relies on manual observation,which is inefficient,accurate varies from person to person,labor-intensive,and has the risk of cross-infection.To achieve efficient,accurate,and intelligent identification of abnormal chicken droppings,an abnormal chicken droppings detection method based on improved Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(Faster R-CNN)was proposed in this study.In the feature extraction network stage,deformable convolution was used and combined with Path Augmentation-Feature Pyramid Network(PA-FPN)to improve the extraction ability of features at different scales.In the Region Proposal Network(RPN)stage,the K-means++algorithm was used to cluster the dataset and obtain the Anchor-ratio which is more suitable for the chicken poop object,and the FocalLoss classification loss function was used to improve the classification ability of difficult samples.In the regional convolutional network stage,the region of interest calibration algorithm was used instead to obtain more accurate localization information.The experimental results show that the improved Faster R-CNN structure can reach an accuracy of 98.8%for abnormal chicken poop detection,and the average accuracy mean value was improved by 27.8%.The results can provide a key core technology support for establishing an efficient abnormal chicken droppings online detection system.Min Zhou Junhui Zhu Zhihang Cui Hongying Wang Xianqiu Sun 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,1:0
