1中国成人硒需要量研究显示文摘目的探讨使人体血浆硒蛋白P(SEPP1)达到饱和的硒摄入量,以评估硒需要量,为膳食硒参考摄入量DRIs的修订提供参考。方法对98名低硒健康受试者(体重平均58kg)进行为期40w的双盲补硒实验。随机分为七组,补硒(以硒蛋氨酸形式)剂量分别为0、21、35、55、79、102和125μg/d。定期检测血浆中谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GPX3)活性、SEPP1含量和硒含量等硒状态功能指标。选择剂量响应曲线的饱和平台起始点的相应摄入量作为该指标的需要量。结果在实验40w时,使血浆SEPP1含量达到饱和的硒摄入量为49μg/d;使血浆GPX3活性达到饱和的硒摄入量为35μg/d;血浆硒不能达到饱和平台,故不能用来作为评价硒需要量的指标。结论就当前人体实验而言,血浆SEPP1含量是反映硒营养状态和测定硒需要量的最佳指标。所以,满足SEPP1合成的硒摄入量49μg/d,经体重和个体变异等因素适当调节后,可作为人体硒需要量和修订膳食硒参考摄入量DRIs的参考。夏弈明 KE Hill 李平 徐家沅 周定友 RF Burk 2011营养学报2011,33,2:25

3Functions of NKG2D in CD8^(+) T cells: an opportunity for immunotherapy显示文摘Natural killer group 2 member D(NKG2D)is a type II transmembrane receptor.NKG2D is present on NK cells in both mice and humans,whereas it is constitutively expressed on CD8+T cells in humans but only expressed upon T-cell activation in mice.NKG2D is a promiscuous receptor that recognizes stress-induced surface ligands.In NK cells,NKG2D signaling is sufficient to unleash the killing response;in CD8+T cells,this requires concurrent activation of the T-cell receptor(TCR).In this case,the function of NKG2D is to authenticate the recognition of a stressed target and enhance TCR signaling.CD28 has been established as an archetype provider of costimulation during T-cell priming.It has become apparent,however,that signals from other costimulatory receptors,such as NKG2D,are required for optimal T-cell function outside the priming phase.This review will focus on the similarities and differences between NKG2D and CD28;less well-described characteristics of NKG2D,such as the potential role of NKG2D in CD8+T-cell memory formation,cancer immunity and autoimmunity;and the opportunities for targeting NKG2D in immunotherapy.Kushal Prajapati Cynthia Perez Lourdes Beatriz Plaza Rojas Brianna Burke Jose A Guevara-Patino 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,5:7
4Impacts of El Nino-Southern Oscillation events on China's rice production显示文摘This paper aims to demonstrate the relationships between ENSO and rice production of Jiangxi province in order to identify the reason that ENSO might have little effect on Chinese rice production. Using a data set with measures of Jiangxi's climate and rice production,we find the reason that during 1985 and 2004 ENSO's well correlated with rainfall did not promote Chinese rice production. First,the largest effects of ENSO mostly occur in the months when there is no rice in the field. Second,there is almost no temperature effect. Finally,the monthly distribution of rainfall is almost the same in ENSO and neutral years because the largest effects are during months when there is the least rain. In addition,due to the high irrigation share and reliable and effective irrigation facilities of cultivated land,China's rice production is less climate-sensitive.DENG Xiangzheng HUANG Jikun QIAO Fangbin Rosamond L. 6New insights into renal lipid dysmetabolism in diabetic kidney disease显示文摘Lipid dysmetabolism is one of the main features of diabetes mellitus and manifests by dyslipidemia as well as the ectopic accumulation of lipids in various tissues and organs,including the kidney.Research suggests that impaired cholesterol metabolism,increased lipid uptake or synthesis,increased fatty acid oxidation,lipid droplet accumulation and an imbalance in biologically active sphingolipids(such as ceramide,ceramide-1-phosphate and sphingosine-1-phosphate)contribute to the development of diabetic kidney disease(DKD).Currently,the literature suggests that both quality and quantity of lipids are associated with DKD and contribute to increased reactive oxygen species production,oxidative stress,inflammation,or cell death.Therefore,control of renal lipid dysmetabolism is a very important therapeutic goal,which needs to be archived.This article will review some of the recent advances leading to a better understanding of the mechanisms of dyslipidemia and the role of particular lipids and sphingolipids in DKD.Alla Mitrofanova George Burke Sandra Merscher Alessia Fornoni 2021World Journal of Diabetes2021,12,5:5
7Temporal clinical, proteomic, histological and cellular immune responses of dextran sulfate sodium-induced acute colitis显示文摘AIM To investigate the temporal clinical, proteomic, histological and cellular immune profiles of dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced acute colitis.METHODS Acute colitis was induced in C57 BL/6 female mice by administration of 1%, 2% or 3% DSS in drinking water for 7 d. Animals were monitored daily for weight loss, stool consistency and blood in the stool, while spleens and colons were harvested on day 8. A time course analysis was performed in mice ingesting 3% DSS, which included colon proteomics through multiplex assay, colon histological scoring by a blinded investigator, and immune response through flow cytometry or immunohistochemistry of the spleen, mesenteric lymph node and colon.RESULTS Progressive worsening of clinical colitis was observed with increasing DSS from 1% to 3%. In mice ingesting 3% DSS, colon shortening and increase in proinflammatory factors starting at day 3 was observed, with increased spleen weights at day 6 and day 8. This coincided with cellular infiltration in the colon from day 2 to day 8, with progressive accumulation of macrophages F4/80^+, T helper CD4^+(Th), T cytotoxic CD8^+(Tcyt) and T regulatory CD25^+(Treg) cells, and progressive changes in colonic pathology including destruction of crypts, loss of goblet cells and depletion of the epithelial barrier. Starting on day 4, mesenteric lymph node and/or spleen presented with lower levels of Treg, Th and Tcyt cells, suggesting an immune cell tropism to the gut. 8Ternary Ni-Co-Fe oxyhydroxide oxygen evolution catalysts:Intrinsic activity trends,electrical conductivity,and electronic band structure显示文摘Nickel-,cobalt-,and iron-based(oxy)hydroxides comprise the most-commonly studied electrocatalysts for the oxygen-evolution reaction(OER)in alkaline solution.A fundamental understanding of composition-structure-activity relationships for mixed-metal Ni-Co and Ni-Co-Fe(oxy)hydroxides is important to guide the design of advanced OER catalysts.Here we use cyclic voltammetry,chronopotentiometry,inductively-coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy,and in situ electrical conductivity measurements to characterize the properties and activity of various compositions of Ni-Co-Fe(oxy)hydroxides prepared by cathodic co-electrodeposition.Consistent with previous studies,we find Fe is essential for the mixed-metal(oxy)hydroxides to achieve high OER activity.In the rigorous absence of Fe(achieved by using specially cleaned electrolytes),the most-active Ni-Co(oxy)hydroxide composition has an OER turn-over frequency only twice that ofpure Co(oxy)hydroxide,suggesting minimal synergism between the two metals.The addition of Co to Ni-Fe(oxy)hydroxides shifts the onset of electrical conductivity to lower potentials,but has little effect on the intrinsic OER activity,with the most-active Ni-Co-Fe(oxy)hydroxide having an OER turn-over frequency only -1.5 times that of the Ni-Fe(oxy)hydroxides.The magnitudes of the electrical conductivities are similar for all the compositions measured.Density-functional-theory-calculated projected density of states show a significant contribution of all chemical elements at the valence band edge of the mixed-metal oxyhydroxide electronic structure,demonstrating significant electronic hybridization between the elements.The calculations suggest the involvement of all the elements in modulating the electronic structure at putative Fe-based active sites that are probably located at edges or defects in the two-dimensional oxyhydroxide sheets.Michaela Burke Stevens Lisa J.
