4Novel biallelic loss-of-function mutations in CFAP43 cause multiple morphological abnormalities of the sperm flagellum in Pakistani families显示文摘Multiple morphological abnormalities of the sperm flagella(MMAF)is a specific type of asthenoteratozoospermia,presenting with multiple morphological anomalies in spermatozoa,such as absent,bent,coiled,short,or irregular caliber flagella.Previous genetic studies revealed pathogenic mutations in genes encoding cilia and flagella-associated proteins(CFAPs;e.g.,CFAP43,CFAP44,CFAP65,CFAP69,CFAP70,and CFAP251)responsible for the MMAF phenotype in infertile men from different ethnic groups.However,none of them have been identified in infertile Pakistani males with MMAF.In the current study,two Pakistani families with MMAF patients were recruited.Whole-exome sequencing(WES)of patients and their parents was performed.WES analysis reflected novel biallelic loss-of-function mutations in CFAP43 in both families(Family 1:ENST00000357060.3,p.Arg300Lysfs*22 and p.Thr526Serfs*43 in a compound heterozygous state;Family 2:ENST00000357060.3,p.Thr526Serfs*43 in a homozygous state).Sanger sequencing further confirmed that these mutations were segregated recessively in the families with the MMAF phenotype.Semiquantitative reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was carried out to detect the effect of the mutation on mRNA of the affected gene.Previous research demonstrated that biallelic loss-of-function mutations in CFAP43 accounted for the majority of all CFAP43-mutant MMAF patients.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to report CFAP43 biallelic loss-of-function mutations in a Pakistani population with the MMAF phenotype.This study will help researchers and clinicians to understand the genetic etiology of MMAF better.Ihsan Khan Basit Shah Sobia Dil Nadeem Ullah Jian-Teng Zhou Da-Ren Zhao Yuan-Wei Zhang Xiao-Hua Jiang Ranjha Khan Asad Khan Haider Ali Muhammad Zubair Wasim Shah Huan Zhang Qing-Hua Shi 2021Asian Journal of Andrology2021,23,6:1
5Improved-Equalized Cluster Head Election Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘Throughout the use of the small battery-operated sensor nodes encou-rage us to develop an energy-efficient routing protocol for wireless sensor networks(WSNs).The development of an energy-efficient routing protocol is a mainly adopted technique to enhance the lifetime of WSN.Many routing protocols are available,but the issue is still alive.Clustering is one of the most important techniques in the existing routing protocols.In the clustering-based model,the important thing is the selection of the cluster heads.In this paper,we have proposed a scheme that uses the bubble sort algorithm for cluster head selection by considering the remaining energy and the distance of the nodes in each cluster.Initially,the bubble sort algorithm chose the two nodes with the maximum remaining energy in the cluster and chose a cluster head with a small distance.The proposed scheme performs hierarchal routing and direct routing with some energy thresholds.The simulation will be performed in MATLAB to justify its performance and results and compared with the ECHERP model to justify its performance.Moreover,the simulations will be performed in two scenarios,gate-way-based and without gateway to achieve more energy-efficient results.Muhammad Shahzeb Ali Ali Alqahtani Ansar Munir Shah Adel Rajab Mahmood Ul Hassan Asadullah Shaikh Khairan Rajab Basit Shahzad 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,44,1:0
6基于深度卷积神经网络的两阶段肺结节检测显示文摘针对传统肺结节检测中存在灵敏度低、假阳性高、小结节难检测的问题,提出一种基于深度卷积神经网络的两阶段肺结节检测框架。第一阶段使用特征金字塔子网提取肺部影像的多层次特征,引入多尺度区域建议子网用于在高灵敏度下检测出所有的候选结节;第二阶段设计级联卷积神经网络模型减少假阳性,通过保留分类错误样本用于重新训练模型,将多个模型结果进行投票选出最终分类结果。LUNA16数据集上的实验结果表明,所提框架灵敏度达到95.9%,检测效果优于其它算法,能够有效实现肺结节的准确检测。韩鹏 强彦 刘继华 贾婧 Syed Basit Ali Shah Bukhari 2021计算机工程与设计2021,42,3:0
