High-entropy perovskite RETa_(3)O_(9) ceramics for high-temperature environmental/thermal barrier coatings显示文摘Four high-entropy perovskite(HEP)RETa_(3)O_(9) samples were fabricated via a spark plasma sintering(SPS)method, and the corresponding thermophysical properties and underlying mechanisms were investigated for environmental/thermal barrier coating(E/TBC)applications.The prepared samples maintained low thermal conductivity(1.50 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1)),high hardness(10 GPa),and an appropriate Young’s modulus(180 GPa),while the fracture toughness increased to 2.5 MPa·m^(1/2).Nanoindentation results showed the HEP ceramics had excellent mechanical properties and good component homogeneity. We analysed the influence of different parameters(the disorder parameters of the electronegativity, ionic radius, and atomic mass,as well as the tolerance factor)of A-site atoms on the thermal conductivity.Enhanced thermal expansion coefficients, combined with a high melting point and extraordinary phase stability, expanded the applications of the HEP RETa_(3)O_(9).The results of this study had motivated a follow-up study on tantalate high-entropy ceramics with desirable properties. | Lin CHEN Baihui LI Jun GUO Yuke ZHU Jing FENG | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,4: | 4
Rhizophagus irregularis influences As and P uptake by alfafa and the neighboring non-host pepperweed growing in an As-contaminated soil显示文摘It was documented that arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi(AMF) play an important role in protecting host plants against arsenic(As) contamination. However, most terrestrial ecosystems contain a considerable number of nonmycorrhizal plants. So far little information is available for the interaction of such non-host plants with AMF under As contaminations. By using a dual compartment cultivation system with a plastic board or a nylon mesh separating roots of non-host pepperweed from roots of the AM-host alfafa plants, avoiding direct root competition, the two plant species were grown separately or partially separated(with rhizosphere effects) in the presence or absence of the AMF Rhizophagus irregularis in As-contaminated soil. The results indicated that mycorrhiza caused phosphorus(P) concentration decrease in the non-host pepperweed, but promoted the P concentration of the AM host alfafa. Mycorrhiza is potentially helpful for non-host pepperweed to adapt to As contamination by decreasing root As concentration and showing no suppressing effect on biomass production. The study provides further evidence for the protective effects of AMF on non-host plants against As contamination, and improved our understanding of the potential role of AMF for non-host plant adaptation to As contaminated soils. | Xin Zhang Baihui Ren Songlin Wu Yuqing Sun Baodong Chen Ruojuan Li | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,5: | 3

Geochemistry and zircon U-Pb chronology of quartz porphyry in Yuejinshan Fe-polymetallic deposit of Heilongjiang显示文摘Quartz porphyry in Yuejinshan Fe-polymetallic deposit is one of the rock masses, which formed the granite belt relating to the late Yanshanian skarn-type Fe-polymetallic deposits in the eastern Heilongjiang, and is also closely related to the metallogenic space of the Fe-polymetallic deposits. Quartz porphyry has the zircon U-Pb concordia age of 125.0±1.1 Ma, overall showing high Si(SiO_2=74.48%--75.00%), rich alkaline(Na_2O+K_2O=7.93%--8.17%, K_2O/Na_2O=1.39--1.46), and poor Mg(MgO=0.27%--0.31%), with the A/CNK value being 0.95--0.99, having the characteristics of obvious enrichment of LREE and medium Eu negative anomaly(0.69--0.74), indicating that the rock belongs to quasi-aluminous high potassium calc-alkaline series and has the same characteristics as those of the I-type granite. The rock is also characterized by the enrichment of LILE and active incompatible elements, and depletion of HFSE such as Nb, Ta, P and Ti, with the Mg~# value being 32--37, indicating that the rock originated from partial melting of crustal materials. It can be concluded from the above characteristics or data and from the distribution of contemporary magmatic rocks in the area, that quartz porphyry in Yuejinshan Fe-polymetallic deposit was formed in a tectonic background of the subduction of the paleo-Pacific plate in late Yanshanian. | JIN Ye CUI Bo WANG Li YANG Baihui YIN Yue LI Qing WANG Shuo CHEN Xiaohang LIU Xiang | 2019 | Global Geology2019,22,2: | 2
Triple plasmon-induced transparency and outstanding slow-light in quasi-continuous monolayer graphene structure显示文摘We propose a simple quasi-continuous monolayer graphene structure and achieve a dynamically tunable triple plasmon-induced transparency(PIT)effect in the proposed structure.Additional analyses indicate that the proposed structure contains a selfconstructed bright-dark-dark mode system.A uniform theoretical model is introduced to investigate the spectral response characteristics and slow light-effects in the proposed system, and the theoretical and the simulated results exhibit high consistency. In addition, the influences of the Fermi level and the carrier mobility of graphene on transmission spectra are discussed. It is found that each PIT window exhibits an independent dynamical adjustability owing to the quasi-continuity of the proposed structure. Finally, the slow-light effects are investigated based on the calculation of the group refractive index and phase shift. It is found that the structure displays excellent slow-light effects near the PIT windows with high-group indices, and the maximum group index of each PIT window exceeds 1000 when the carrier mobility of graphene increases to 3.5 m^2 V^-1s^-1.The proposed structure has potential to be used in multichannel filters, optical switches, modulators, and slow-light devices.Additionally, the established theoretical model lays a theoretical basis for research on multimode coupling effects. | CuiXiu Xiong Hui Xu MingZhuo Zhao BaiHui Zhang Chao Liu Biao Zeng Kuan Wu BanXian Ruan Min Li HongJian Li | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,2: | 1
Somatic copy number alterations are predictive of progression-free survival in patients with lung adenocarcinoma undergoing radiotherapy显示文摘Objective:Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.Somatic copy number alterations(SCNAs)have been used to predict responses to therapies in many cancers, including lung cancer. However, little is known about whether they are predictive of radiotherapy outcomes. We aimed to understand the prognostic value and biological functions of SCNAs.Methods:We analyzed the correlation between SCNAs and clinical outcomes in The Cancer Genome Atlas data for 486 patients with non-small cell lung cancer who received radiotherapy.Gene set enrichment analyses were performed to investigate the potential mechanisms underlying the roles of SCNAs in the radiotherapy response. Our results were validated in 20 patients with lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)receiving radiotherapy. Results:SCNAs were a better predictor of progression-free survival(PFS)in LUAD(P=0.024)than in lung squamous carcinoma(P=0.18)in patients treated with radiotherapy.Univariate and multivariate regression analyses revealed the superiority of SCNAs in predicting PFS in patients with LUAD.Patients with stage I cancer and low SCNA levels had longer PFS than those with high SCNA levels(P=0.022).Our prognostic nomogram also showed that combining SCNAs and tumor/node/metastasis provided a better model for predicting long-term PFS.Additionally, high SCNA may activate the cell cycle pathway and induce tumorigenesis. Conclusions:SCNAs may be used to predict PFS in patients with early-stage LUAD with radiotherapy,in combination with TNM,with the aim of predicting long-term PFS.Therefore,SCNAs are a novel predictive biomarker for radiotherapy in patients with LUAD. | Fan Kou Lei Wu Yan Guo Bailu Zhang Baihui Li Ziqi Huang Xiubao Ren Lili Yang | 2022 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,5: | 1
Stability analysis of an aeroelastic system with friction显示文摘In this paper, harmonic balance method, exact formulation and numerical simulation method are adopted to study the effects of different friction stiffness on the stability of 1.5 degrees of freedom aeroelastic system. On this basis, the expressions of input energy and dissipated energy are deduced, and the energy method is used to reveal the mechanisms of the stable boundary and unstable boundary existing in the system and the effects of different friction stiffness on the stability of the system. Studies have shown that the stability region and the critical aerodynamic damping ratio of the system rise with the increase of the friction stiffness, while the friction stiffness has little effect on the stability boundary. In the analysis of the stability of system, the results of harmonic balance method, exact formulation and Newmark of numerical simulation method are in good agreement. Compared with exact formulation and numerical simulation method, the concept and conclusion of harmonic balance method are simple in the system stability analysis. | Tan Tiancai Li Min Liu Baihui | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,3: | 1
Projection-Specific Heterogeneity of the Axon Initial Segment of Pyramidal Neurons in the Prelimbic Cortex显示文摘The axon initial segment(AIS)is a highly specialized axonal compartment where the action potential is initiated. The heterogeneity of AISs has been suggested to occur between interneurons and pyramidal neurons(PyNs),which likely contributes to their unique spiking properties. However, whether the various characteristics of AISs can be linked to specific PyN subtypes remains unknown. Here,we report that in the prelimbic cortex(PL)of the mouse, two types of PyNs with axon projections either to the contralateral PL or to the ipsilateral basal lateral amygdala, possess distinct AIS properties reflected by morphology, ion channel expression, action potential initiation, and axo-axonic synaptic inputs from chandelier cells.Furthermore,projection-specific AIS diversity is more prominent in the superficial layer than in the deep layer. Thus, our study reveals the cortical layer-and axon projection-specific heterogeneity of PyN AISs,which may endow the spiking of various PyN types with exquisite modulation. | Ankang Hu Rui Zhao Baihui Ren Yang Li Jiangteng Lu Yilin Tai | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,7: | 0
Simultaneous manipulations of thermal expansion and conductivity in symbiotic ScTaO_(4)/SmTaO_(4) composites via multiscale effects显示文摘Effective manipulations of thermal expansion and conductivity are significant for improving operational performances of protective coatings, thermoelectric, and radiators. This work uncovers determinant mechanisms of the thermal expansion and conductivity of symbiotic ScTaO_(4)/SmTaO_(4) composites as thermal/environmental barrier coatings(T/EBCs),and we consider the effects of interface stress and thermal resistance. The weak bonding and interface stress among composite grains manipulate coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)stretching from 6.4×10^(−6) to 10.7×10^(−6) K^(−1) at 1300℃,which gets close to that of substrates in T/EBC systems. The multiscale effects, including phonon scattering at the interface, mitigation of the phonon speed(vp),and lattice point defects, synergistically depress phonon thermal transports, and we estimate the proportions of different parts. The interface thermal resistance(R)reduces the thermal conductivity(k)by depressing phonon speed and scattering phonons because of different acoustic properties and weak bonding between symbiotic ScTaO_(4) and SmTaO_(4) ceramics in the composites. This study proves that CTE of tantalates can be artificially regulated to match those of different substrates to expand their applications, and the uncovered multiscale effects can be used to manipulate thermal transports of various materials. | Lin Chen Jiankun Wang Baihui Li Keren Luo Jing Feng | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,8: | 0

Mechanical property enhancements and amorphous thermal transports of ordered weberite-type RE_(3)Nb/TaO_(7) high-entropy oxides显示文摘A_(3)BO_(7)-type(A=rare earth(RE),B=Nb or Ta)oxides have been studied as protective coating materials because of their low thermal conductivity;however, their hardness, toughness, and stiffness are insufficient, particularly for members with webeirte-type structures. In this work,we have synthesized two high-entropy oxides(HEOs)of weberite-type RE niobates/tantalates(RE_(3)Nb/TaO_(7)),i.e.,(Nd_(1/7)Sm_(1/7)Eu_(1/7)Gd_(1/7)Dy_(1/7)Ho_(1/7)Er_(1/7))_(3)NbO_(7)(7HEOs-Nb)and(Nd_(1/7)Sm_(1/7)Eu_(1/7)Gd_(1/7)Dy_(1/7)Ho_(1/7)Er_(1/7))3(Nb_(1/2)Ta_(1/2))O_(7)(7HEOs-NbTa),to overcome the mechanical deficiencies. The short-and long-range ordered arrangements of RE cations in the A-site and Nb/Ta cations in the B-site were identified by the X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy-dispersive spectrometry(EDS),and transmission electron microscopy. The enhancements in hardness(H=9.4 GPa)and fracture toughness(KIC=2.0 MPa·m^(1/2))were realized by grain refinement, solid solution strengthening, and high stiffness(K).The exceptional phase stability at 25-1500℃,amorphous thermal conductivity(k=1.5-1.7 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at 25-900℃),and high thermal expansion coefficients(TEC>11.0×10^(−6) K^(−1) at 1500℃)further supported their potential application as protective coating materials. | Lin CHEN Keren LUO Baihui LI Mingyu HU Jing FENG | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,2: | 0
